Shania Twain announces Ireland concert in 3Arena Dublin as well as new album Queen of Me

To celebrate this next era in style, Shania will embark on the Queen of Me Tour across Ireland and the UK next autumn. The tour marks the first time fans will get to see the best-selling female artist in country music in all of her glory in nearly five years.

Country music superstar Shania Twain has announced she will perform in Dublin’s 3Arena next year in support of her new album Queen of Me.

The five-time Grammy award winner will take to the stage on Tuesday, September 19 as part of a huge Ireland and UK tour.

Tickets will go on sale next Friday, November 4 at 10am from Ticketmaster.

The gig announcement comes just minutes after she confirmed her new album Queen and Me will be released on February 3, 2023.

Fans who preorder the album from the official store before 4pm on Tuesday will get a special presale code for 2023 tour tickets.

The new album will be her sixth original full-length offering and first record since 2017.

The Queen of Me Tour kicks off on Saturday September 16th at London’s O2 Arena, and stops in Dublin, Glasgow and Manchester before wrapping up in Birmingham on Tuesday September 26th.

Shania excitedly heralds the highly anticipated album with new song Last Day of Summer, which is out now, and offers fans a taste of what to expect from the upcoming new album.

The track unfolds as a nostalgic and cinematic anthem set in the final moments of everyone’s favourite season. Delicate guitar melts into a steady beat and screen-worthy strings as she nostalgically recalls, “The last time we were together the first thing I remember every time September comes.”

General tickets for her 3Arena Dublin concert go on sale Friday, November 4 at 10am from Ticketmaster, priced from €76.50.

Shania Twain in Dublin review: Convincing country-pop performance without the diva presence

Is it a tad cheesy it is, indeed, but this is high quality camembert that never undermines twain’s legacy.

You have to be quick to notice it, for no sooner have the lights dimmed when a spotlight lands on Shania Twain , who has somehow arrived at the upper reaches of the auditorium without causing a stir. Microphone in hand, and standing in a leopard skin covered trolley, she makes her way through the crowd, singing Waking Up Dreaming. It’s a surprise beginning to a show that is many things to many people: an array of self-empowerment and self-validation songs that shove male chauvinists out the door with a boot to the butt; a display of campness that runs all the way from pink-frilled boots to displays of Quiverdancing; rock guitars to the max mixed with furious bouts of barn dance fiddle playing.

As befits a songwriter that regularly uses exclamation marks at the end of their songs – see Up!, I’m Gonna Getcha Good!, Giddy Up!, Rock This Country! – and sometimes in the middle of them – the six shooter bang-bang of Man! I Feel Like a Woman! – there is much enthusiasm, but it’s all in good fun.

Is it a tad cheesy? It is, indeed, but this is high quality Camembert that never undermines Twain’s legacy of having established the country-to-pop mainstream crossover blueprint – she is, with some justification, a recognised influence on the early careers of Taylor Swift and Kacey Musgraves.

The high points of a show stacked with hit songs are many and most of these come from the hat-trick of albums Twain released between 1995-2002: The Woman in Me, Come on Over and Up!

One of her signature songs, the supreme power ballad You’re Still the One, is performed with just an acoustic guitar and is so rapturously received you wonder, fleetingly, insanely, would a stripped-down show in a smaller venue be just as valuable to the singer as it would the audience? Another time, perhaps, because arriving to a caterwaul of screams are Giddy Up! and Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under? (“a heartbreak cheating song,” says Twain, her fan base keenly aware she sings from experience).

Does everything work? Not always. The midpoint medley of songs, which includes Nah!, She’s Not Just a Pretty Face and When, doesn’t connect with the audience, which move in droves towards the toilets and bars. Perhaps a key element of the show is, depending on taste, its most touching or cringy: audience participation.

On three occasions, Twain engaged with her fan base on stage: eight-year-old Mia, from Cork (inevitably, cute), Frenchman Julian and his father and nameless couples gathered around faux candlelit tables as Twain posed with them for selfies. All of that fades in the background, however, when you are confronted with a show that primarily aims to entertain. Also, to Twain’s inestimable credit, there is no diva present on stage – when you already have star wattage, you don’t need extravagant costume changes.

Encores of That Don’t Impress me Much and Man! I Feel Like a Woman! bring the show to a convincing country-pop conclusion. If you’re looking for some level of performative introspection, perhaps you need to see The National but if you’re looking for the best fun to be had on a rainy night in Dublin, then Shania Twain is clearly your best bet.

Shania Twain has announced that she will perform at Dublin's 3Arena next September, which is sure to delight her Irish fans.

The Queen of Country is set to perform in Dublin on September 19, 2023 as she prepares to go on tour next year with the release of latest album Queen of Me in February.

Shania's world tour will start on Saturday September 16 with her first gig in London’s O2 Arena, followed by Dublin a few days later. The country legend had her first visit to Irish shores with her debut tour 'Come On Over' in Dublin's RDS Arena in 1999, blowing fans away with her incredible stage presence and bangers like 'Up' and the unforgettable 'That Don't Impress Me Much.'

Her last Dublin gig was in Dublin's 3Arena in 2018. Now, the Grammy Award winning country singer makes her return to touring after a five year hiatus.

Tickets for Shania's 3Arena gig in Dublin are set to go on general sale from Friday, November 4 at 10am from Ticketmaster. Tickets will start from €76.50 including booking fee as well as a charity donation.

Forget Garth Brooks, because Shania Twain-mania has has officially hit Ireland.

Initial reviews of her first night in Dublin are in, and – by all accounts – the country pop superstar rocked the 3Arena with a spectacular show.

Ahead of night two on Wednesday, September 20, here's everything you need to know – including the expected set list following Tuesday's performance.

Unfortunately, tickets for Wednesday's show are now completely sold out, with no resale tickets to be seen on Ticketmaster's website at the time of writing.

But it's good news though for fans as you can expect a 13,000-strong crowd belting along to her biggest tunes like You're Still The One and Man! I Feel Like a Woman! with you on the night.

The atmosphere for the major pop concert is indeed bound to be electric.

3Arena stage times and support act

The Canadian singer is being supported on her two Dublin dates by rising US star Breland, who fuses country and R&B in unique fashion and has been hailed as a pioneer in the genre.

The show kicks off at 6.30pm with Shania expected on stage somewhere between 8pm and 8.30pm, based on previous shows on this current tour.

Aah, the one we've all been waiting for.

How to get there and travel options

The Luas is probably the quickest way to get to the 3Arena from the city centre via public transport.

If you're travelling by train into Dublin, you can grab the Luas Red Line to The Point stop from either Connolly or Heuston Station. This will take you right to the doors of the 3Arena.

The full list of stops where you can board is available at www.luas.ie .

Alternatively, if you'd prefer to avoid the crowds, the 3Arena is roughly 20 minutes walk from O'Connell Street.

From O'Connell Street, just walk down the Northside Quays, past the IFSC until you arrive at the venue.

If you prefer to drive, there is limited car parking available at Point Village car park.

The cost is €16 plus booking fee from 6pm up until 12am, with parking tickets available to book in advance from Ticketmaster.

However using public transport is strongly encouraged, given the thousands that will be travelling to the venue on the night.

Rumours of a new tour began circulating on the internet in recent months and fans will be delighted to hear that, to celebrate this next era in style, Shania will embark on the  Queen of MeTour  across the UK and Ireland. The tour marks the first time fans will get to see the queen in all of her glory in nearly five years. The  Queen of Me Tour  kicks off on Saturday September 16th at London’s O2 Arena, and stops in Dublin, Glasgow and Manchester before wrapping up in Birmingham on Tuesday September 26th.

Additionally, Shania and Live Nation have announced that £/€1.50 per ticket sold (less deductions for tax and royalties) will be donated to Shania Kids Can (“SKC”). Established in 2010 by Shania Twain, SKC provides services that promote positive change in children’s lives in times of crises and economic hardship. SKC provides children with one-on-one consultations, academic support and group activities, as well as nutritious snacks and meal programmes where needed, all while in the safe, confidence-building environment that is the Shania Kids Can Clubhouse. These children are learning the skills to cope with and overcome family hardships which, in turn improves their ability to succeed in school. She excitedly heralds the highly anticipated album with new song “ Last Day of Summer ”, offering fans a taste of what to expect from the upcoming new album – listen  HERE . The track unfolds as a nostalgic and cinematic anthem set in the final moments of everyone’s favourite season. Delicate guitar melts into a steady beat and screen-worthy strings as she nostalgically recalls,  “The last time we were together the first thing I remember every time September comes . ”  Shania will make it feel like summer forever, like only she can…

This follows the single “ Waking Up Dreaming ” which headed straight onto the BBC Radio 2 playlist upon release as Shania dropped by Zoe Ball’s Radio 2 show and The One Show to celebrate the new music. She’ll also join the panel of ITV’s Starstruck for its second season, set to air in 2023, alongside Adam Lambert, Beverly Knight and Jason Manford.

Shania Twain continues to be one of the world’s most popular artists, with over 100 million global album sales and 330 million streams in the UK alone. Her third studio album,  Come On Over , is the UK’s 15th biggest selling album of all time. Let's go girls... Shania Twain adds another Irish date to her summer tour

Country star Shania Twain has announced that she's planning to Come On Over... to Ireland!

Grab your stetson and your cowboy boots as the Man I Feel Like A Woman hitmaker is set to take Ireland by storm this summer and has confirmed a string of live dates.

Shania will play Ormeau Park in Belfast and Malahide Castle in Dublin this summer as well as a newly announced date at Virgin Media Park in Cork.

We couldn't think of a better way to spend an evening- grab the girls, have a few glasses of vino in the sun before dancing the night away under a summery sky to some of the biggest hits of the 90s and 00s!

The five-time Grammy Award winner will kick her Irish dates off with a show in Cork on Tuesday, June 25 before taking to the stage in Belfast on Thursday, June 27 and heading to Dublin on Friday, June 28.

She is coming with some fabulous support too. Human hitmaker Rag 'N' Bone Man has been announced as her special guest for all the shows.

Shania made the surprise announcement of her first two Ireland dates on her Instagram earlier in February, posting 'When it rains it pours... UK & IRELAND - I’m coming for you, see you this Summer!'

Tickets for the Dublin and Belfast dates are already on sale while tickets for Cork will go on sale from 9am on March 1.

They'll start at €79.90 and are available on Ticketmaster.

Shania twain announces ‘greatest hits summer tour edition 2024’.

Shania Twain has announced a special edition vinyl release, Greatest Hits Summer Tour Edition 2024 . In celebration of Shania’s biggest summer yet with massive shows across the UK and Ireland, this new super limited edition vinyl highlights the Canadian country-pop queen’s best-selling records, including the 2024 remastered versions of multi-platinum hits such as “Man! I Feel Like A Woman!,” “That Don’t Impress Me Much,” and “You’re Still The One,” as well as the single “Giddy Up!” from her latest chart-topping album, Queen Of Me , and more.

The album will be available on super limited edition single LP vinyl on June 28th via the Sound of Vinyl . Five hundred sets will include a limited edition A4 signed art print.

The release of Greatest Hits Summer Tour Edition 2024 comes just days ahead of Twain’s highly anticipated and coveted performance on the iconic Glastonbury Pyramid Stage in the Legends slot, as part of her extensive UK and Ireland summer tour. The tour also includes stops in Cork, Belfast, Dublin, Stirling, Lytham St Annes, and Chepstow, which marks Twain’s first performance in Wales. Supporting Twain on these shows is renowned singer-songwriter Rag’N’Bone Man who shot to fame in 2016 with his genre-bending sound and baritone vocals. Twain will then bring her UK and Ireland summer shows to an epic close in London for BST Hyde Park with support from highly acclaimed Irish icons The Corrs plus more names to be announced.

With Shania’s 1997 single “Honey I’m Home” opening side two and featuring on the LP’s stunning artwork, Shania says, “‘Honey I’m Home’ seemed fitting for this album cover. I love being in the UK so much and this huge run of festivals feels like a homecoming for me – what an honor and a joy!”

The dates follow the first leg of Shania’s forthcoming Las Vegas residency, Come On Over – The Las Vegas Residency – All The Hits! which she will perform at the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino through December 2024.

2023 saw Shania release her sixth studio album, Queen Of Me , which debuted at No. 1 on the Official Album Chart, plus undertake a tour of the UK and Ireland.
