Not happy with the irvine branch,we…

Not happy with the irvine branch,we have a 13yr old girl and was told that because she had 2 vaccines a and a passport to prove this was enough for her to fly wrong!!!! We had to go to Glasgow so she had to have a test to prove she was OK to fly This is unacceptable it could have cost us her flight if we didn't investigate the covid details of flying yet Stuart Travel Irvine said it was OK

First break since 2019

Booked a holiday to Zell am See, Austria with Glenda at Stewart Travel, Inverurie and had contact with a few members of the team who were all very helpful. The hotel (Tirolerhof) and staff were first class too so we were delighted with our holiday choice.

Not ideal for single traveller since no singles are permitted a balcony.

I did not have a balcony nor air-con only a huge fan with a huge nose cone fit for a rocket. I didn't use it. The electrics in the hotel were in need of repair /unsafe and dangerous. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly and the bed was a decent size. Breakfast was the same every morning /basic. The hotel is well named. Not recommended for a quiet holiday.

Very poor customer service on the…

Very poor customer service on the phone, I guess once they get the money from you they don’t seem particularly bothered. Using them to fly to Vegas using Delta, there response when question about covid update was check with the airline. As Delta don’t appear to have good uk number this would be difficult. At time of writing this requirement for LFT testing had changed, and they just weren’t interested in confirming this.

Good morning Mr Connell, I can assure you this is definitely not the case. In this instance, we were definitely stuck between a rock and a hard place as although the UK Government had just announced restrictions had been lifted, unfortunately Delta's website was advising that restrictions still applied.... At present, due to staff shortages, it is literally impossible to actually speak to anyone at any airline.... this is a UK industry wide issue due to the amount of flights being cancelled and re-scheduled. I am sorry that in this instance, we were not able to confirm the situation but it was out with our control, I hope you had a fantastic time in Las Vegas and apologise that we were not able to confirm the details. Seat mix up

Booked with Ayr branch. We discussed seating and chose our seats near the front of the plane as my wife has a mobility problem. However when booking passes arrived the seats were near middle of plane and window and middle . We wanted an outside seat . Phoned Ayr branch and received an apology. However we were not told that we could change seats online. I luckily managed to do this . Other than this we had a good holiday.

NYC and Caribbean trip

The agent was unable to check us in online for flights to New York via Heathrow from Glasgow. We eventually went into the agent’s office but the team were unable to check us in online. We then had a delay of over half an hour when trying to check in at JFK for our return flights -apparently our party of 4 had “multiple listings” and the check in desk blamed this on our travel agent. Our trip also included a cruise around the Caribbean. We were supposed to have a mid range “stateroom” with an ocean view but our small, cramped cabin was on the lowest level on the ship and our view of the ocean was through a small porthole. This was our 1st cruise and we chose to use a travel agent to reduce any stress. In future we will probably revert to handling all bookings ourselves as the use of the travel agent probably caused more stress.

Help … who do we contact?

We have booked a £12k Silver Seas cruise due to go in a few weeks and are having real problems with changes that the company are now trying to impose and not getting any responses to our emails …. Who do we escalate this to please 🙏 - UPDATE - this has now been resolved by CruiseKings following the intervention of Silver Seas :-)

Excellent service from Stewart Travel

I had a recommendation for Stewart Travel at the Forge, Glasgow and found them to be excellent . Jamie spent a long time with me giving me advice as a first time cruiser . We received e mails to keep us up to date, the branch allowed me to pay in 2 installments (I was within the 14week period so they didn't need to ) as I had booked within the festive period. I chose my cabin with their help and it was excellent .They guided me through the paperwork and details required to go on a cruise and checked it was completed . I received calls to check credit card details, upload photo . We received our labels, luggage labels and boarding passes from the branch savings us time and effort to print ourselves. On board we were disappointed in certain aspects but this reflects on P and O and how the Azura was run, not on Stewart Travel. I would definitely use them again

Ace Travel team.

I have booked a number of holidays through Stewart Travel Paisley over the past years. 100% for great customer service..we done a Back-to-back cruise in August this year and everything was all done for us- connection fights/transfers/1 night hotel stay, we only had to pack and get to the airport. Dubai *****

I have just returned from a holiday to Dubai with my family staying in the Voco Bonnington hotel that was booked for us through Linda in the Helensburgh branch of Stewart travel. The holiday was superb and the staff, accommodation, breakfast & location were all fantastic. We all loved everything about the hotel & our rooms were beautiful, definitely 5* as stated. We had no issues with our flights or the connection taxi's, everything arrived on time and there we're no issues at all. The value for money with this holiday was superb, as is always the case when we book our holidays through Stewart travel. Tickets arrived on time as always and if there had been any issues I knew help & advice was only a phone call away. I would definitely recommend Stewart travel, Linda and all at the Helensburgh branch staff for their fantastic customer service....next holiday already booked :-)

Stewart travel irvine

We have booked dozens of holidays with Stewarts irvine the latest was a cruise from 2019 which had to be pushed forward due to covid. The week before we were due to sail an issue with our travelling arrangements was discovered but thanks to Diane and Stewart management going above and beyond to sort it out the holiday went off without a hitch my sincere thanks to all at Stewarts

First Class Service

I have been using the Helensburgh shop for years for trips all over the world and everyone has been a great success. The knowledge of the staff is excellent and they manage problems expertly. On our last trip our disembarkation port from a cruise was changed to a completely different country thousands of miles apart, within hours flights had been arranged to Dubai and our flight home rearranged and paid for by Stewart Travel insurance. That is really first class service.

Original holiday for September 2023 had…

Original holiday for September 2023 had to cancel due to earthquake in Morocco, rebooked for March 2024 same itinerary Extra legroom seats,Welcome Transfer in Marrakech booked. Confusion on rebooking over Extra legroom seats Stewart Travel missed Extra legroom seats only managed to get one on return journey we had to have separate seats on return origally paid for two. Welcome Transfer confusion on arrival not well organised. Departure Welcome Transfer 07.20 failed to turn up,had to find local taxi at additional cost. Contacted Welcome Transfer for reason and refund told nothing they can do contact Stewart Travel and they will investigate.

Outstanding Service

This was our first time using Stewart Travel and it certainly wont be the last. Dougie was such a blessing - his knowledge is second to none, his customer service, attention to detail, promptness, courteousness, professionalism and ability to plan is superlative. He is the most responsive travel agent I have ever worked with (by far), no matter what obstacle we put in his way nothing was ever too much trouble. Dougie went above and beyond and made every part of the choosing and booking process 100% stress free. I would highly recommend Stewart Travel.

We went to the branch at Ayr and Jocelyn dealt with us exceptionally booking flights cruise and all taxi transfers in LA and a two night stay at a hotel. All went great and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Jocelyn also informed us of a last minute change of itinerary due to an environmental issue in Northern California . The only downside was the utter chaos at LA port owing to disembarking and embarking passengers mixing.at the port.The welcome aboard the ship was very poor and almost non existent this was entirely the responsibility of Princess cruises . Once the ship sailed we got the experience we had hoped. We will certainly be using Stewart travel again

Excellent service. Sam answered all our queries promptly, and our trip went well. (Baltic Tour plus train/ferry/hotels going and coming.) MyCanada Trip September

Overall the agent who worked with us booked good hotels and excisions for us, the Air Canada Flights were a disappointing, we were not made aware that the tickets were SBY, ie stand by and that meant if the plane was overbooked this could have kick us off. This travel agent did not mentioned this at the time of booking and we ended struggling when we tried to book seats so we could seat together, in-fact we could not do this, we were just allocated what was left at the gate. Air Canada said its down to your agent. BTW do not fly Air Canada, worest carrier I have flow over 35 years.

Safe Hands Holidays with Stewart Travel …

Never use this company

We had a holiday booked through Stewart Travel for July 2020. Because of lockdown we couldn't go and I lost my deposit. I had another holiday that year through Jet2 and we got our money back. We go on holiday 3 to 4 times a year, I will NEVER use your services. Infact I must put this on social media and trip advisor. I would NEVER put trust in you again. Get Outlook for Android

Loss of monies and online check in farce

So many changes with flights was unbelievable. Paid £500 extra for direct flights to be told few months later that there were no direct flights from Edinburgh or Glasgow (coming from Ayrshire). Despite being told we would get our £500 back from one member of staff, a manager then advised only £250 (half) could be returned. Still unsure why but had to accept it to get the flights booked to prevent the whole holiday being jeopardised. She did mention a different 'class' however I never once specified i wanted to go a specific class, just assumed it was booked under 'economy'. Such a shame as staff were nice but unhappy with the loss of monies for direct flights, that we never got!! Bit of farce with online check in too that Stewart Travel couldn't assist with as they didn't have our attestation details, despite being told previous week to call and staff would sort it for us. Branch was closing at 3pm for Christmas festivities & we couldn't check in til 4pm...not really helpful at all. Issues then with check in as BA told us flight was 'oversold' and we were on 'standby'...which meant we may not have got on flight, luckily a BA staff member sorted this for us to prevent our journey starting off in chaos! Nyc was fabulous in the end.

Don't trust Stewart travel and wouldn't use again.

We went into Stewart travel Ayr shop in January with or 3year old daughter. We were greeted by staff and sat and looked at numerous holidays until we got one to suit which was to the Algarve,flights ideal everything was fine as this holiday included 3 days pass to zoo marine,which was why we ended up booking it at over £2200,,as she was going through holidays I had my phone open looking at jet2s website at same holidays.The price she told us was exactly what jet2 quoted online,then she says she was giving us £100 off ,so £2200it was . A few days before holiday when we received tickets paperwork for transfers etc through post I noticed no zoo marine tickets.so I called up shop and was told that person didn't work there anymore and the tickets were never in our price so not getting them ,but I could buy them from them,which I didn't, So on holiday we got talking to a few couples and found out they booked direct jet2 and guess what all included in the same price we paid which ours were not. When I called in there was no help and all I got was we will sell you them. Sorry no thanks we went one day there as daughter was so disappointed and cost us an extra £140,so guess what always book direct with jet2 or whatever company and you won't get done out of money, Never use Stewart travel that was lesson learned

Great service from Stewart Travel

We have booked numerous holidays with Stewart Travel using both the Troon and Ayr branches and have always been completely satisfied with their level of customer service. Unfortunately, we recently had to cancel a holiday to Cancun due to us contracting COVID-19. Jade from the Troon branch was absolutely amazing as she very quickly arranged for our cancellation confirmation from TUI and as such, we were able to progress our insurance refund within a 24 hour period. Jade thence arranged a holiday to Florida which included the booking of several hotels together with a cruise to the Bahamas and the Caribbean; all of which went seamlessly with us having a terrific and stressless experience throughout. I have been using the Helensburgh shop for years for trips all over the world and everyone has been a great success. The knowledge of the staff is excellent and they manage problems expertly. On our last trip our disembarkation port from a cruise was changed to a completely different country thousands of miles apart, within hours flights had been arranged to Dubai and our flight home rearranged and paid for by Stewart Travel insurance. That is really first class service.

Original holiday for September 2023 had…

Original holiday for September 2023 had to cancel due to earthquake in Morocco, rebooked for March 2024 same itinerary Extra legroom seats,Welcome Transfer in Marrakech booked. Confusion on rebooking over Extra legroom seats Stewart Travel missed Extra legroom seats only managed to get one on return journey we had to have separate seats on return origally paid for two. Welcome Transfer confusion on arrival not well organised. Departure Welcome Transfer 07.20 failed to turn up,had to find local taxi at additional cost. Contacted Welcome Transfer for reason and refund told nothing they can do contact Stewart Travel and they will investigate.

Outstanding Service

This was our first time using Stewart Travel and it certainly wont be the last. Dougie was such a blessing - his knowledge is second to none, his customer service, attention to detail, promptness, courteousness, professionalism and ability to plan is superlative. He is the most responsive travel agent I have ever worked with (by far), no matter what obstacle we put in his way nothing was ever too much trouble. Dougie went above and beyond and made every part of the choosing and booking process 100% stress free. I would highly recommend Stewart Travel.

We went to the branch at Ayr and Jocelyn dealt with us exceptionally booking flights cruise and all taxi transfers in LA and a two night stay at a hotel. All went great and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Jocelyn also informed us of a last minute change of itinerary due to an environmental issue in Northern California . The only downside was the utter chaos at LA port owing to disembarking and embarking passengers mixing.at the port.The welcome aboard the ship was very poor and almost non existent this was entirely the responsibility of Princess cruises . Once the ship sailed we got the experience we had hoped. We will certainly be using Stewart travel again

Excellent service. Sam answered all our queries promptly, and our trip went well. (Baltic Tour plus train/ferry/hotels going and coming.) Minor concern that we only received our documents about ten days before we left. However, we understand the delays involved, and were advised about them by Sam. Thanks!

MyCanada Trip September

Overall the agent who worked with us booked good hotels and excisions for us, the Air Canada Flights were a disappointing, we were not made aware that the tickets were SBY, ie stand by and that meant if the plane was overbooked this could have kick us off. This travel agent did not mentioned this at the time of booking and we ended struggling when we tried to book seats so we could seat together, in-fact we could not do this, we were just allocated what was left at the gate. Air Canada said its down to your agent. BTW do not fly Air Canada, worest carrier I have flow over 35 years.

Never use this company

We had a holiday booked through Stewart Travel for July 2020. Because of lockdown we couldn't go and I lost my deposit. I had another holiday that year through Jet2 and we got our money back. We go on holiday 3 to 4 times a year, I will NEVER use your services. Infact I must put this on social media and trip advisor. I would NEVER put trust in you again. Get Outlook for Android

Loss of monies and online check in farce

So many changes with flights was unbelievable. Paid £500 extra for direct flights to be told few months later that there were no direct flights from Edinburgh or Glasgow (coming from Ayrshire). Despite being told we would get our £500 back from one member of staff, a manager then advised only £250 (half) could be returned. Still unsure why but had to accept it to get the flights booked to prevent the whole holiday being jeopardised. She did mention a different 'class' however I never once specified i wanted to go a specific class, just assumed it was booked under 'economy'. Such a shame as staff were nice but unhappy with the loss of monies for direct flights, that we never got!! Bit of farce with online check in too that Stewart Travel couldn't assist with as they didn't have our attestation details, despite being told previous week to call and staff would sort it for us. Branch was closing at 3pm for Christmas festivities & we couldn't check in til 4pm...not really helpful at all. Issues then with check in as BA told us flight was 'oversold' and we were on 'standby'...which meant we may not have got on flight, luckily a BA staff member sorted this for us to prevent our journey starting off in chaos! Nyc was fabulous in the end.

Don't trust Stewart travel and wouldn't use again.

We went into Stewart travel Ayr shop in January with or 3year old daughter. We were greeted by staff and sat and looked at numerous holidays until we got one to suit which was to the Algarve,flights ideal everything was fine as this holiday included 3 days pass to zoo marine,which was why we ended up booking it at over £2200,,as she was going through holidays I had my phone open looking at jet2s website at same holidays.The price she told us was exactly what jet2 quoted online,then she says she was giving us £100 off ,so £2200it was . A few days before holiday when we received tickets paperwork for transfers etc through post I noticed no zoo marine tickets.so I called up shop and was told that person didn't work there anymore and the tickets were never in our price so not getting them ,but I could buy them from them,which I didn't, So on holiday we got talking to a few couples and found out they booked direct jet2 and guess what all included in the same price we paid which ours were not. When I called in there was no help and all I got was we will sell you them. Sorry no thanks we went one day there as daughter was so disappointed and cost us an extra £140,so guess what always book direct with jet2 or whatever company and you won't get done out of money, Never use Stewart travel that was lesson learned

We have booked numerous holidays with Stewart Travel using both the Troon and Ayr branches and have always been completely satisfied with their level of customer service. Unfortunately, we recently had to cancel a holiday to Cancun due to us contracting COVID-19. Jade from the Troon branch was absolutely amazing as she very quickly arranged for our cancellation confirmation from TUI and as such, we were able to progress our insurance refund within a 24 hour period. Jade thence arranged a holiday to Florida which included the booking of several hotels together with a cruise to the Bahamas and the Caribbean; all of which went seamlessly with us having a terrific and stressless experience throughout.
