Announcing Sydney Whisky Month: 2024’s Biggest Whisky Celebration!
I f there’s one event that has never failed to set the Man of Many office abuzz, it’s Sydney Whisky Week. This annual celebration has always provided the opportunity to bring Sydney’s whisky-loving community together in order to taste some of the most unforgettable drams the world has to offer. However, after three years, a week no longer feels like enough time to squeeze in all that incredible whisky goodness. As such, 2024 will see this annual collaboration between Man of Many and The Whisky List return bigger and better than ever. That’s right, we’re proud to announce the first annual Sydney Whisky Month!
Kicking off festivities with The Whisky Show Sydney on May 18th, this will be a month to remember. From exclusive tastings courtesy of some of the world’s finest whisky makers, to unique experiences served up by Sydney ’s finest venues, this will be one you don’t want to miss. Read on to discover more!
Table of Contents
The sydney whisky show, glen moray week, stauning week, angel’s envy week, glenfiddich x jordan gogos pop-up bar, camperdown cellars, the sydney whisky month app.
- Date: Saturday, 18th May
- Time: Session 1: 12pm to 4pm, Session 2: 5pm to 9pm

Kicking off Sydney Whisky Month with a bang, this unmissable event boasts more than 100 different whiskies from all over the world—including Scotland, USA, Australia, and more—just waiting to be sampled. From the new and exclusive to limited editions and stone-cold classics, there’s no better place to be if you’re a fan of the dram. The show will boast a pop-up bottle shop, rare-whisky bar, and a live band, as well as a range of food trucks serving up delicious bites to enhance your whisky sampling even further. Plus, Lark Distillery will be pouring a limited-edition Lark PX single-cask bottling, which you can only sample and buy at the Sydney Whisky Show. We really can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon or evening.
Note : Ticket allocation for the Sydney Whisky Show has already been exhausted, but read on to discover all the other exciting events taking place throughout Sydney Whisky Month 2024.
- Dates: Monday, 20th May to Saturday, 25th May
- Venue: Grain Bar, 199 George St, The Rocks
Whether you’re just starting your whisky journey or you’re already an experienced expert, don’t miss the chance to visit Grain Bar between May 20th and 25th to discover Glen Moray’s incredible (and carefully curated) ‘Explorer Range’. Of particular note are two experimental limited-edition Glen Moray expressions secured by The Whisky List for Sydney Whisky Month; the 2015 Rioja Cask Matured Single Malt and the 2012 Rioja Cask Finished Peated Single Malt. These explore the intriguing characteristics that red wine casks can bring to the distilling process, resulting in fascinating examples of how Glen Moray’s focus on innovation and flavour ensures each of its whiskies is unlike anything else on the market. To put it simply, they’re as rare and unmissable as they are absolutely delicious.
Special Event: Exclusive Glen Moray Launch with Global Ambassador Iain Allan
- Date: Tuesday, 21st May
- Time: Arrive by 6:15pm for a 6:30pm start
- Price: $65pp (early bird pricing at $55pp)
Sydney’s whisky-loving community is invited to join a Glen Moray consumer masterclass on May 21st at Grain Bar, where guests will be guided through a range of tastings by Glen Moray’s global brand ambassador, Iain Allan. More information on the whisky class is to be confirmed, so be sure to check back for more details soon.

- Venue: Hickson House, 6 Hickson Rd, The Rocks
As the maker of Denmark’s finest whisky, Stauning will take over Hickson House from May 29th to June 2nd, during which time visitors will be treated to the delights of the Danish dram. With practices like automated floor malting and direct firing a whopping 24 small copper alembic stills, even Scottish distillers have been inspired by their approach to whisky-making. You won’t want to miss the chance to experience some of the stunning expressions that have secured this innovative distillery’s place on the map.
Special Event: Rye & Records – A Dinner with Danish Whisky and Old School Vinyls
