Chris Brown is heading to Europe next year. The R&B legend  has announced his headlining  Under the Influence Tour.

The 13-date tour kicks off Feb. 13, 2023, in Dublin. From there, Brown will play in London, Manchester, Paris and Berlin before concluding in Amsterdam on March 6, 2023.

Skillibeng will join Brown as a supporting act. Tickets go on sale Friday, Dec. 9.  According to Brown, “more dates might be added.”

Brown’s upcoming tour is named after his sleeper hit “Under the Influence,” which is No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at the time of publication. It’s also No. 1 at rhythmic radio in the U.S. and No. 1 on Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay chart. It’s Brown’s 13th chart-topper on that list.

The platinum-selling song is lifted from Brown’s 2019 album, Indigo (Extended) .

Brown released an official video for the bedroom banger in October, which has over 37 million views on YouTube.

Brown recently won Favorite Male R&B Artist at the 2022 American Music Awards and Best R&B/Soul Male Artist at the 2022 Soul Train Awards.

Brown was scheduled to perform “Under the Influence” and a Michael Jackson dance tribute to celebrate 40 years of Thriller   at the American Music Awards. However, he said that his performance was axed.

Subsequently, he shared a rehearsal video on Instagram of what the performance would have looked like.

“WOULDVE been the ama performance but they cancelled me for reasons unknown,” Brown wrote in the comment section.

Moreover, Brown’s 10th album, Breezy (Deluxe) , is nominated for Best R&B Album at the 2023 Grammy Awards .

The ceremony airs live Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.

Breezy (Deluxe)  was released July 8 via RCA Records, just one week after  Breezy .  The standard edition debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart and No. 2 on the Top R&B Albums chart.

Brown supported  Breezy  on his co-headlining One of Them Ones Tour   with rap sensation Lil Baby .

The two acts played in major cities across North America from mid-July through late August.

In other news, Brown released two holiday songs last month, “ It’s Giving Christmas ” and “ No Time Like Christmas .”

The two festive tracks are Brown’s first Christmas-themed songs since releasing his album, Heartbreak on a Full Moon (Deluxe Edition): Cuffing Season – 12 Days of Christmas .

The expanded edition, released Dec. 13, 2017, included his Ella Mai-assisted track “This X-Mas.”

Before that, in 2007, he released his stellar rendition of Donny Hathaway’s “This Christmas” and a reimagined version of “Try a Little Tenderness.”

Both renditions appeared on the soundtrack for the holiday comedy,  This Christmas , in which he starred alongside Loretta Devine, Delroy Lindo, Idris Elba and Regina King.

Today (March 5), Chris Brown announced “The 11:11 Tour," which will be supported by Ayra Starr and Muni Long. The R&B-themed affair kicks off in June and will touch down in several North American cities until August. As the artist revealed on social media, additional dates will be announced soon.

The tour announcement comes after the 2023 release of Brown's 11th studio album, aptly titled 11:11 , which boasted 22 songs with additional appearances from Davido , Lojay, Future, Maeta, Fridayy and Bryon Messia. The album became the Virginia talent's 12th project to reach the top 10 on the Billboard 200 when it debuted at No. 9 with 45,000 album-equivalent units sold.

During 11:11 's promotional run, Brown revealed his treasure trove of unreleased music during an appearance on " Club Shay Shay ."

"It's so hard with me because, just to be honest with you, I have about 15,000 unreleased songs, right?" Brown said to host Shannon Sharpe . "In my phone alone, in certain apps, I have... I wanna say, maybe 1,800."

Brown continued, "It was a point where I used to stay in the studio, like, when I was doing a lot of my earlier albums, I had to learn. But I wanna say around the F.A.M.E. album and certain stuff like that, I was kinda like in my zone. I knew what I wanted."

Chris Brown is an American R&B pop artist who quickly rose to fame in the mid-2000s after a string of successful singles such as “Run It” and “Yo (Excuse Me Miss)”, followed by his successful self-titled debut album in 2005.

Christopher Maurice Brown was born in Tappahannock, Virginia, on May 5, 1989. His interest and education in music began, like many pop singers, through his involvement in his church choir. During his teenage years, his golden-boy sensibilities waned and his interest in the emerging R&B scene in the US took hold.

What makes Chris Brown’s music notable is his wide depth of talent. To some, he is a pop music legend, with upbeat tunes and energetic lyrics that make you want to dance. To others, he is an R&B legend, showcasing the soul and heart of his earliest musical influences. He also is known for his slow crooner style of music, which is showcased in songs like “Take You Down” and “Autumn Leaves.” In these songs, Brown demonstrates his ability to convey deep emotions through the slow use of melody and artfully seductive vocals.

Brown is most renowned for his incredible talent as a rapper. “Look at Me Now,” “Run It!,” and “Go Crazy” all showcase his knack for spitting out lines at wild speeds.

After moving to New York City, Brown was soon scouted by A&R executive Tina Davis and subsequently signed his first record deal with Jive Records, whose alumni include pop singers Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, in 2004. His debut self-titled album, released the following year, reached No. 2 on the US Billboard charts and was soon certified double platinum.

The following years were nothing but a string of successes for Brown as he further dominated the charts with pop singles such as “Beautiful People,” “I Can Transform Ya,” and “Yeah x3.” To date, Chris Brown has released a total of twelve albums, with numerous albums winning notable awards.

One of Brown’s most decorated albums, F.A.M.E., went on to win the Album of the Year Award at the 2011 Soul Train Music Awards. Not only that, but shortly after the release of this album, Brown took home the highest number of awards ever given at the 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards. Other notable albums from Chris Brown include Fortune X; Fan of a Fan: The Album; Royalty; Heartbreak on a Full Moon; Indigo; Slime & B; and his latest release Breezy.

Brown has now certified himself as a staple of American pop and R&B music and remains a continued presence on the charts with both his own material and collaborations with artists such as Jordin Sparks, Lil’ Wayne, and David Guetta.

Recently, Chris Brown has been on tour with Lil Baby, packing stadiums on their One of Them Ones tour. Together, they take the stage for hours on end, performing their biggest hits. Both his musical talent and his incredibly complex choreographed routines combine to create a memorable event. Now, with Lil Baby sharing the stage, Brown continues to deliver powerful energy during his live concerts.

Having kicked off the One of Them Ones tour in July 2022, Brown is scheduled to perform with Lil Baby at venues across North America throughout the rest of the year.

In addition to selling out his own shows over the years, Chris Brown has also taken center stage at countless festivals and events. Recently, he was seen serving up his signature tunes at the Wireless Festival in London. This festival is known as one the largest rap music festivals in the world, attracting talent from around the globe.

Fans eagerly await the next Chris Brown tour dates, hoping for more shows to be scheduled in cities around the world. Be sure to stay tuned to find out when the latest tour dates are announced.

Live reviews

I was very excited to see "Chris Brown Performing Live", as the tickets stated while purchasing. Once I was at the venue, the overall ambience was nice and seemed promising. The opening performers added hype to the night by repeating, "Who is ready for Chris Brown?" As the clock ticked away and Chris Brown never appeared, my self, my guest, and those around me grew more and more upset and antsy. Everyone was questioning where the main act, Chris Brown, was. At around 1:30 AM, it became apparent that Chris Brown was not going to show. The stage filled with talentless acts taking snapchats and acting foolish. No one cared about these people, and the crowd turned sour. At around 1:40AM, they played a Chris Brown music video, which, again, no one cared about. We were all there to see "Chris Brown Performing Life", once again, as the tickets stated. Finally, as if trying to pull wool over the attendees eyes, a fool on stage announced, "Are you all having fun? This was a Chris Brown video release party." As soon and myself and many others heard that, we had complete affirmity that Chris Brown was a no-show. Living in Orange County, it was quite a drive getting to Downtown Los Angeles, and parking wasn't cheap. I would have appreciated the knowledge of Chris Browns lack of presence as soon as they venue/ performers/ respective people knew. I am very displeased with the unprofessionalism and the offended by the act of lying to the crowd. This experience will influence whether or not I choose to purchase tickets from SongKick or the Belasco Theater again.

This concert was without a doubt one hell of a nite!!! The opening acts were awesome already. They started unbelievably punctual and created a great atmosphere. My personal favorite of them was August Alsina who really got the party going when he entered the stage with his song Numb. The main show was just awesome. Chris Brown performed both some of his older songs as well as the ones on his latest album. He showed off his great dancing skills and made every single girl in the audience go crazy by pulling up his shirt and showing us his six pack. Towards the end of the concert some of the supporting acts entered the stage and performed with him which was just so fun to watch. When the show was over I was just so sweaty and my feet and cheeks hurt from constantly dancing and smiling. I was incredibly thirsty but even for that the event organizer had an awesome solution. They gave away Coke and Coke Zero cans at the entrance FOR FREE which was just the best idea ever. I had never experienced a concert that was that organized and well-conceived before. All in all it was an awesome night and I'd recommend attending a Chris Brown concert to everybody who likes this kind of music and just wants to have a good time. As I already said it was ONE HELL IF A NITE!

Quite a few years of bad press and some very public run ins with the law have meant that Chris Brown has lost some of his credibility as an artist. It seems that many have forgotten that since the age of 16, he has provided us with some of the biggest RnB and Hip-Hop hits of the last decade.

Though chances to see him live now may be few and far between, any chance that you get, you should take it!

Seeing Chris at the Indigo2 in 2009 was one of my best concert experiences ever, hands-down. Just 19 years old at the time, he commanded the stage and the audience with a presence far wiser than his years. His expert dance moves and voice to match have drawn comparisons to some of the biggest artists such as Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake.

As he made his way though a string of hits, including ‘With You’, ‘Wall to Wall’ and ‘Run It’, the energy in the room never slumped, a testament to the quality of both his music and performance.

Some very unfortunate incidents have left Chris Brown with a much-scarred public persona. Seeing him live is a chance to see him at his best, as an artist.

It is fair to say that Chris Brown has become more well known for the negative press that has surrounded him and less so for his work as an R & B artist over the past few years. It would also be fair to say he has lost credibility as an artist and a number of his fan base has left him during the controversy.

Although, that is not to say that Chris has given up on music and still endeavours to wow crowds with his R & B/pop and international hits. Beginning his set with a barrage of stage lights and pyrotechnics, the intro to 'Beautiful People' begins to play out around the arena and the crowd cheer from below.

Perhaps acknowledging his past mistakes halfway through the set or simply adding a note of controversy, Chris performs his remix of Rihanna's 'Birthday Cake'. His set is not completely focused on hits, he picks some of his personal favourite work including '2012' and 'Biggest Fan' which receive good reaction from the audience. The biggest cheer of the night though is undoubtedly for set closer and international hit 'Turn Up The Music'.

I haven’t used this app yet but i just wanted to share my experience at Chris Brown’s concert. He’s AMAZING with all capital words. I’m not going to say he’s the best, but he is for me. Chris has something special, I love him and all he does from the bottom of my heart. I wish I could meet him someday and maybe possibly work with him and show him what I got and the same way i’m proud of him and i appreciate what he does, i would love him to see that on me. I don’t know I just feel like he’s my dad. I’ve never felt this way with any other celebrity but Chris is from another planet. He’s absolutely talented. You ALL need to go to one of his concert at least once.

i saw the show at the SAP center in San Jose.

i was VERY upset with the stage set up. i paid 900.00 for 2 tickets in the 2nd row. the stage was so high up that we could NOT see most of the show, unless he was right at our side of the stage. we could not see him dancing and had to watch most of the show on the TV screens. that is Not what i Paid for. i was very upset and disappointed.

the show itself was really good, what i could see of it . the Cirque de soleil feel was a nice touch. and he is a great performer..

i am going to ask for a refund for my tickets, i feel i was deceived and ripped off for the seats i paid for.

Where: 3Arena Dublin

When 15.6.16

Time 7.30pm

First Hoody Baby and supporting act. Then August Alsina. 30 min break and the great man himself appeared. The arena was electrified by this time, screaming singing dancing and that was just the crowd. Sang nearly all his popular hit records, dancers and backdrops were great. Anybody that hasn't seen Chris Brown perform before (My first concert) should go, even if you're not Team Breezy - my daughter who came with me isn't a fan but she enjoyed her night too.

Great night, hot tired and sore feet but would definitely see him again (saving up already)

Despite Brown's undeniable talent, the numerous legal battles related to acts of violence continue to cast a shadow over his achievements. Most famously, he pleaded guilty to felony assault for the 2009 attack on his ex-girlfriend Rihanna. He additionally faced accusations of stalking and threatening to kill another ex-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, which resulted in a five-year restraining order. In 2013, a woman accused Brown of shoving her after a nightclub show in California, though no charges were filed. Furthermore, Brown was convicted of a misdemeanor stemming from a 2015 assault charge by a woman in Colorado. In 2019, Brown was arrested on charges of rape in Paris, although the lawsuit was later dropped. He has also faced a $20 million sexual assault lawsuit, which was subsequently dismissed. Such a history of abuse inevitably calls Brown's status as a celebrity into question.

Dana Brown signed Chris Young out of college. Now, their teams are playing for a pennant

HOUSTON — Dana Brown did what most area scouts would not. He spent the spring of 2000 scouting amateur players across the Northeast as a Pittsburgh Pirates area scout. A Princeton pitcher piqued his interest but profiled as a difficult sell to the entire organization.

Chris Young stood 6-foot-10 and split his time between two sports. As a basketball player, he patrolled the paint as a center and twice set Princeton’s single-season record for blocked shots. He wielded three pitches on the diamond. None exceeded 92 mph. Opponents still couldn’t hit them.

Young mastered extension before baseball embraced it as an actual attribute. Brown noticed how quickly the pitcher’s pedestrian velocity snuck up on hitters, but it didn’t seem certain others in Pittsburgh’s organization would understand his sentiment. Brown summoned Mickey White, Pittsburgh’s scouting director, to Princeton to see it in person.

“Not many (area) scouts brought their scouting director in, but I brought my scouting director in,” Brown said. “I was like ‘Hey, this guy doesn’t throw hard, but he gets outs and hitters don’t square him up.’ I think some of the local scouts were like, ‘Man, you brought your scouting director in to see this guy?’”

White watched the wiry pitcher perform just as Brown advertised. That June, the Pirates picked Young 89th overall.

“We got him in the third round,” Brown said, “and I signed him.”

Before he became the Astros’ general manager, Brown scouted and signed a bevy of future big leaguers. This one now stands between his team and a trip to the World Series.

Twenty-three years after their first encounter, Brown and Young are architects of both American League Championship Series participants, completing a circuitous revolution around baseball’s world.

“Certainly I was a little bit of a big fish in a small pond,” Young said this week. “Ivy League is not maybe a traditional place to find major-league players. But obviously Dana saw something he believed in and I’m grateful that he did.”

After the Pirates picked him in 2000, Young played parts of 13 major-league seasons for five different teams. A stint in the commissioner’s office preceded his tenure as the Texas Rangers’ general manager, during which he has orchestrated a total overhaul.

“I have the utmost respect for him. He came in and is not afraid to make moves. He started signing guys right away and we knew that Texas was going to be competitive. I know how Chris is. I knew he was competitive and these guys weren’t going to lay down,” Brown said.

“I knew they were going to do whatever they had to do to try to win because that’s just how Chris Young is.”

Young stayed at Princeton for only two seasons. He unanimously won Ivy League Rookie of the Year in baseball and basketball. He made all-conference in both sports as a sophomore, too, but baseball presented a brighter future.

Brown, then 33, covered the entire Northeast for the Pirates. He lived in New Jersey, making Princeton an ideal location to scout — even if the school rarely manufactures major-league talent. Young is one of six big leaguers from the Ivy League institution. According to Baseball-Reference, no former Tiger accrued more major-league wins above replacement.

“I just knew that he was releasing the ball so far out front that it was getting up on hitters. I never used the word ‘extension,’ I just said he gets way out front,” Brown said. “He pitched basically like 89-92 (mph), had a little bit of a slider and a pretty good changeup. He really was a three-pitch guy and they just couldn’t hit him.”

According to Brown, signing players in those days required scouts to go into homes. Brown remembered going to Young’s in Highland Park, a suburb of Dallas, to finish a complex contract situation.

Young did not sign his first contract until September of that year, when the Pirates wrote in assurances he could complete his Princeton education before becoming a full-time baseball player.

“That was the one non-negotiable,” Young said of finishing his degree. “I was two years toward a Princeton degree and I wasn’t going to walk away from that. We were going to have to negotiate a way where I’ll come to spring training for spring break, I’ll report six weeks later, I’ll start the season a little bit late, finish the minor-league season because school starts late, but then in the fall I was going to go back to school and show up to spring training the next year.

“It was a complicated signing. It wasn’t a straightforward, easy decision.”

Young received a $1.65 million signing bonus — identical to Pittsburgh’s first-round pick that same year.

“We got creative. He got a lot of money. This was not third-round money,” Brown said. “We overpaid him and we allowed him to finish school. We overpaid him based on the recommendations that they were recommending back then.”

Young’s Pittsburgh tenure lasted two seasons. The team traded him to the Montreal Expos in December 2002. The Expos used input from their new director of scouting — Brown — to complete the trade.

“I just thought he was going to end up being a pretty good pitcher and having a decent career, but of course when he got out of baseball and got into the commissioner’s office, I was not surprised,” Brown said. “This guy is a very good human being, really intelligent. I was not surprised he stayed in the game.

Young was traded two more times before making his major-league debut with the Rangers in 2004. He threw 1,279 2/3 major-league innings at a 3.95 ERA. After leaving Montreal, Brown took two more jobs, with the Toronto Blue Jays and Atlanta Braves , before Houston hired him in January for his first shot as a general manager.

Both won a World Series along the way — Brown with the 2021 Atlanta Braves and Young with the 2015 Kansas City Royals . Another could be on the horizon, if one can defeat the other.

“It’s a proud moment for me because I signed him,” Brown said. “But it is kind of intriguing how the life of baseball, how you cross paths and then you end up competing against each other in the end.”
