NCT DREAM announced Tuesday (March 7) that they’re heading Stateside for their first headlining tour of the U.S.

The seven-date U.S. leg of THE DREAM SHOW2: In A DREAM Tour is slated to begin April 5 with a show at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., followed by stops in Chicago, Atlanta, Houston and Dallas. From there, the K-pop idols will head to the West Coast, where they’ll play the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., before finishing up the tour April 21 at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle.

SM Entertainment Reports Strong Growth Amid HYBE Controversy

NCTzens will be able to purchase tickets for all seven dates starting this Friday (March 10) at 4 p.m. local time via either Ticketmaster or AXS.

In December, the NCT subgroup released their holiday single “ Candy ,” updating H.O.T.’s classic 1996 K- pop track for the 21st century. (The ’90s act is largely credited with establishing the boy-band blueprint as South Korea’s first “idol” group.)

Along with the single, NCT Dream dropped their special winter album of the same name featuring tracks like “Graduation,” “Tangerine Love (Favorite)” and “Take My Breath.” The release served as the septet’s follow-up to their 2022 album Glitch Mode , which was repackaged and reissued last May as Beatbox .

“When we moved to Quito, I immediately went to your website to find people to help plan some of the trips which we had long aspired to make. Back in August, I contacted agents about trips to the Amazon, Galapagos, and Machu Picchu/Inca trail. I really didn’t know how far in advance I SHOULD have started planning, but in response to my timelines and assumptions, they all pretty much said, ‘Nope. Not enough lead time. Wrong time of year. Can’t do it.’ Together, we worked to reschedule and re-order the trips I had imagined, and we made it all work. We had hoped to be able to get two rooms on a ship, we had hoped to get a cruise of seven or eight days, we had hoped that it would be on a catamaran for a smoother trip, and it had to be during the kids’ Spring break. With Allie’s help, we got it all. I have read this line in a lot of trip reviews on your site, but without Allie, we would NOT have been able to make this Galapagos trip happen. At least not the way we wanted with only an eight-month lead. I’d recommend longer — a year — to anyone who asked.” —John Strachan

“We started thinking about this trip during our trip to Greece this past summer. We usually brainstorm about the next year’s trips during our extended summer trip. It is a great time to discuss future travel wishes for everyone at dinners, on boat trips, midday between safaris, etc. We love the Italian culture, so we are most excited about all of the cooking experiences and excursions that we have planned, as well as the wellness resort and an anniversary splurge hotel in Tremezzina, Lake Como: We are also celebrating our 20th anniversary and we honeymooned in Italy, so the timing works out perfectly. A long, multifaceted trip takes time in order to get the correct stops, excursions and flight patterns lined up, so I started planning with Maria in mid-September. “We chose to travel to the English-speaking world with our children so that they may more fully participate in the trip due to the common language. We didn’t want them to feel disengaged and disconnected due to a language barrier. We’re starting off in the Cotswolds, which to the kids should feel a bit like a fairy tale. Then it’s on to London for about 10 days. After that, we’re heading to York for the Viking and Roman history (and to hopefully avoid some of the summer crowds). We get a vacation within a vacation at Gleneagles, in the Scottish countryside, which we’re really excited about. We finish up in Edinburgh. Normally, it isn’t until about day five or six of our seven-day vacations that we finally achieve relaxation. “As our kids have gotten older and they have jobs and lives, their vacation time is pretty constrained, so we are focused on doing really special trips during the time we have. After many Europe trips, we did a safari during summer ’21 — and on that success, started planning Japan for our big ’22 trip. But as we got closer to the trip, Japan had still not re-opened to outside vacationers…so 30 days before the planned trip, we rescheduled for the following year. Our travel expert was great about rescheduling and made things very easy. If I had to narrow it down, it’s the experiences that I’m most excited about. We’ll be sake tasting, doing a cooking class, seeing a master swordsmith at work, enjoying a Ryokan, and several others — including the traditional tea ceremony.” —Andy Kaplan

“I’ve been thinking about a tour of sub-Saharan Africa for 15 years. When we first contacted Julian, he cautioned that our options would be limited in the few months that remained to book the trip for September 2022; our entire group was amenable to delaying the trip for a year. The delay also enabled us to move the trip to Julian’s preferred month of August. Wildlife has always been the greatest African attraction for me, but Julian’s itinerary has taken this trip over the top. Our group is accustomed to going first class, but we were surprised by the combination of 5-star accommodations and fine cuisines in Cape Town, and world-class bush camps. Working Victoria Falls into the mix really made the whole itinerary special. I expect that when I finally hang up my traveling shoes, I will look back on this trip as one of the highlights of my traveling life. Recognizing that fact and with Julian’s counsel that the high-end camps we were seeking filled up early, especially in the prime August window, made the year’s wait worthwhile.” —Stephen Bajan

Peggy and Bob Schuemann are taking their son, daughter-in-law, and three grandchildren on a spring break trip to the Galapagos and mainland Ecuador.

“This is a Christmas gift for three of our grandchildren. Our four older grandchildren went with us to the Galapagos in March 2013. We think there is no better gift than to share travel with our families, and in particular, our grandchildren. As Americans we sometimes forget that we live in the greatest country in the world. As we travel, especially to many remote countries, we find that many want to visit our country, and many want to live here. When we traveled with our daughter and her family, we spent a couple of days in Quito and went for the day to the market in Otavalo. This time we are going to the Lodge at Mashpi. We think this looks very educational for our three grandsons, who at the time of the trip will be 13, 11, and 7. Previously we traveled on a ship that accommodated around 100 guests. We each do several reports and then we present them to one another. This way, when the tour guide is talking about a particular subject, the children, and we as well, are able to chime in with questions or comments. “My grandfather was in the Dutch Navy and spent time in New Zealand many years ago. He always spoke about how beautiful it was and how it was his favorite place he had ever visited. So when we asked my dad where he would like to go for his 80th birthday — he said New Zealand! My dad loves to hike, fish, boat, and just be in nature. He also enjoys wine tasting — New Zealand has it all! We are planning most activities together, with downtime for individuals to do what they like. DREAM THEATER Announces 'Dreamsonic' 2023 North American Tour With DEVIN TOWNSEND And ANIMALS AS LEADERS

Grammy -winning, millions-selling progressive music titans DREAM THEATER have announced the first edition of "Dreamsonic" , taking place in North America throughout June and July and celebrating the summer's ultimate progressive metal lineup. Kicking off on June 16, DREAM THEATER will be joined by special guests Devin Townsend and ANIMALS AS LEADERS on what is sure to be one of the hottest tickets of the summer.

DREAM THEATER guitarist John Petrucci said: "We are all so incredibly excited to present DREAM THEATER 's very own prog-metal music festival, 'Dreamsonic 2023' !

As previously reported, DREAM THEATER is planning to enter the studio in late 2023 to begin recording its sixteenth studio album.

The progressive metal giants' timetable for the follow-up to 2021's "A View From The Top Of The World" was revealed by Petrucci in an October 2022 interview with SiriusXM 's "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk" .

Asked about DREAM THEATER 's plans for 2023 after he is done touring in support of his second solo album, "Terminal Velocity" , John said: " DREAM THEATER is gonna continue touring in 2023. Just like everybody else, we were shut down for two years and have a lot of catching up to do. We're supporting 'A View From The Top Of The World' . We've done extensive tours of U.S. and Europe, but even… We played two shows only in Asia; we played, like, four shows in South America. There's a lot more ground to cover. So 2023 is gonna be filled with DREAM THEATER touring; I'm certain of that."

Asked if he and his bandmates have thought about working on new music yet, Petrucci said: "We're still working the last record. I can't see us being back in the studio until roughly this time next year. If you kind of just look forward to next year, you see the way it's gonna lay out, and we've got festivals. Before you know it, it's August. There's not gonna be any studio work done before the fall; I highly doubt it. So a new record wouldn't be [released before] the following year."

"The Alien" , a track from "A View From The Top Of The World" , landed DREAM THEATER its first-ever Grammy in the "Best Metal Performance" category at the 64th annual Grammy Awards , which was held in April in Las Vegas. DREAM THEATER 's previous Grammy nominations were for the song "On The Backs Of Angels" , from 2011's "A Dramatic Turn Of Events" album, and the single "The Enemy Inside" from 2013's "Dream Theater" .

"A View From The Top Of The World" was described in a press released as " DREAM THEATER at its musical finest, expanding on the sound they helped create while maintaining the elements that have garnered them devoted fans around the globe." The seven-song album also marked the second studio album with InsideOut Music / Sony Music . The artwork was created by longtime cover collaborator Hugh Syme ( RUSH , IRON MAIDEN , STONE SOUR ). "A View From The Top Of The World" was produced by Petrucci , engineered and additional production by James "Jimmy T" Meslin and mixed/mastered by Andy Sneap .

The "Dreamsonic" tour is being billed as the first of an annual traveling festival curated by Dream Theater

Dream Theater have announced the Summer 2023 North American “Dreamsonic” tour with support from fellow prog-metal acts Devin Townsend and Animals As Leaders .

Dates kick off June 16th in Cedar Park, Texas, and run through July 26th in Phoenix.

Tickets are available via StubHub , where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

The inaugural “Dreamsonic” tour package is being billed as “Dream Theater’s very own prog-metal music festival,” according to guitarist John Petrucci, who adds that it will be the first edition of an annual prog-centric traveling festival curated by the band.

“The lineup for our inaugural run this summer features Dream Theater, Devin Townsend, and Animals As Leaders and is going to be absolutely epic!” Petrucci remarked via the band’s press statement. “‘Dreamsonic’ promises to be a reoccurring musical event that will deliver history-making nights of amazing music for many years to come! Dream Theater Announce 2023 ‘Dreamsonic’ Festival Tour With Devin Townsend + Animals as Leaders

If you're a prog-metal music lover, you might as well set aside some dough to be sure to catch Dream Theater 's new prog-metal music festival, Dreamsonic, which will kick off this summer. The trek is set to feature Dream Theater with support from Devin Townsend and Animals as Leaders , making this one of the can't miss bills of the summer.

"We are all so incredibly excited to present Dream Theater’s very own prog-metal music festival, Dreamsonic 2023," said the band. "On our inaugural run this summer we will be joined by special guest @dvntownsend, & @animalsasleaders! Dreamsonic promises to be a reoccurring musical event that will deliver history-making nights of amazing music for many years to come!"

The trek gets underway June 16 in Austin, Texas heading east and venturing up into Canada while crossing back through the U.S. and wrapping on on July 26 in Phoenix, Arizona. See all of the tour stops, dates and venues listed below.

Dream Theater's most recent album was 2021's A View From the Top of the World . They're expected to start recording a new album later this year. The prolific Devin Townsend is supporting his most recent album, 2022's Lightwork . Animals as Leaders also issued a new album in 2022, now touring in support of Parrhesia .

“I think when you go into entertainment, it’s painted in a competitive light,” says Curl ABJ ’14 , a digital host for iHeartRadio . “‘Scrap your way to the top,’ you know? And it’s so nice to have a confidant and a best friend in Kevin who works in the same industry.”

Schatell is a producer for NBC’s TODAY Show . They work about a block from one another in Manhattan and live in each other’s phones and Zoom rooms.

“Our wins are each other’s wins,” Curl continues. “There’s no holding back. If we do something exciting, we share every detail. There is no diminishing the other’s light. It’s just pure, celebratory success for each other.”

They are finish-each-other’s-sentences kind of friends, and their bond has only gotten stronger in the 12 years since they met as tour guides for the UGA Visitors Center .

“There’s no one I can so ‘be myself’ around than Emily because she is that level of welcoming,” Schatell says. “Thoughtful, intentional, aware. No one has a higher emotional intelligence than Emily.”

Curl was two years ahead of Schatell ABJ ’16 at UGA, but they had an easy chemistry. They found out how well they gelled in exactly the place you might expect two aspiring broadcast professionals would: in front of the camera.

In 2013, they created an entertainment-based talk show on YouTube much looser than the Grady Newsource material they did for class. For a studio, they set up in the Visitors Center at night after it closed (with the permission of Visitors Center director Eric Johnson ABJ ’86 ). All they had to do was put the furniture back where it was supposed to be for opening the next morning.

They are quick to credit Johnson’s mentorship and trust.

“Eric set up this environment that changed the way that I view working, and I didn’t realize it until later,” Curl says. “He was collaborative, inviting, and calm but not shy about giving feedback. I understand what a great relationship with a manager looks like because of Eric Johnson.”

‘You have nothing to prove. Only to share.’

Schatell has adopted that quote as his mantra. It’s advice a friend gave him at a particularly anxious time during an internship in New York. While Schatell came out fine on the other side, it wasn’t always easy.

“Your worth is not in what other people think of you, and your worth is not getting that one job,” he says. “That, I think, is a little foolproof, evergreen piece of advice for anybody but students especially. Take a breath.”

Three months after graduating, Schatell moved to the city for good. He began his NBC career in the iconic Page Program, which included responsibilities like leading tours, something he was well qualified for.

He also assisted with managing the outdoor stage for the TODAY Show , and he kept that role when he was hired as an associate producer in 2017. Four years later, Schatell was promoted to producer at the show, where he is a driving force behind the venerable and immensely popular morning program.

“Kevin is one of the most respected people at the TODAY Show , but he would never say that,” Curl says. “Hoda Kotb, Savannah Guthrie, the biggest names at the network, want to work with him, and they compliment his work. He can chat with anyone.”

‘It’s your girl, Emily Curl!’

Curl adopted her personal tagline with her first on-camera job at the digital media site Refinery29 . She kept it when she moved to iHeartRadio in 2020 and continues to lead with it every time she grabs a mic.

“It’s funny that Emily works at iHeart because that is the No. 1 word to describe Emily: heart,” Schatell says. “It’s in the little moments. It’s in check-ins on how your family is doing or calling back to that thing you did that other day. But it’s also the big things.”

For instance, stars like pop singer/songwriter Tate McRae and Grammy-winner Lainey Wilson both specifically sought out Curl on red carpets—greeting her as “Your Girl.” Payback for Curl’s kindnesses when they were unknowns.

Curl moved to New York just a few months after graduating. When she interviewed with Refinery29, the company thought she was already living in the city. In truth, Curl had decamped to Atlanta. When she got the job with one week to prepare, she packed everything she could carry into two suitcases and crashed on a friend’s couch before getting her feet underneath her.

It’s that ability to improvise, work hard, and think fast that serves her well as a celebrity interviewer.

“The biggest thing that I tell students is to get good at anything, you have to practice,” says Curl, who mentors students from UGA— often with Schatell —anytime she can. “There are so many tools available now, and it’s easy to consume media. But you need to find your voice.”

“The essence of what we both do is ask questions,” Schatell adds, not quite finishing Curl’s sentence but deftly playing off it. “Emily asks questions on camera, and I’m prepping our hosts. That work has made us more thoughtful, and it’s inspiring. And it’s made us even better friends.”

Colorado Shoegazers A Shoreline Dream Collaborate with Ride’s Mark Gardener on “Everything Turns”

Formed nearly two decades ago in 2005, A Shoreline Dream now consists of multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Ryan Policky and guitarist Erik Jeffries, who both hail from charming Barnum, Colorado. Now, the prog-shoegaze stalwarts are back with a bang, dropping the single “Everything Turns,” featuring the legendary Ride frontman  Mark Gardener.

Policky and Jeffries first met Gardener at a Ride show in Denver on Policky’s birthday. Throughout 2023, in between Ride’s tour dates, they collaborated on three tracks, co-writing and co-producing, wrapping up just shy of a year later.

“This was such an amazing collab. Mark was super open stylistically and the ideas flowed. I think we created something neither of us were fully expecting,” says Policky. “Making art with true pioneers is why I continue down this path.”

Blending shimmering walls of sound with turbulent percussion and swooning vocals, Everything Turns give shoegaze meets chaos, wrapped in a Colorado coolness. In the wistfully wry lyrics, our once-proud protagonist laments lost strength and vanished dreams. They reflect on a time when they felt wanted and believed they were getting somewhere. Now, surrounded by empty images and an unresponsive system, they wonder who’s in charge as everything seems to fall apart. Despite this disillusionment, there’s a plucky, almost cheeky insistence on keeping it together, not falling apart, and perhaps, reluctantly, letting go. The party has moved on, but the refrain echoes: hold on, stay strong, because, in the end, everything turns.

“It was great and one of those life-fate meant-to-be chances to connect with Ryan and A Shoreline Dream,” Gardener reflects. “Ryan sent a good few tracks through to me from Denver to my Ox4 Sound Studio in Oxfordshire and the first backing track I totally connected with was the track that was to become Everything Turns . Lyrically, it’s a reflection on how technology is taking over and, the more connected we get with it, the more alone we can find ourselves in the Real World.”

The video was filmed, directed and edited by Policky   for Latenight Weeknight Records, LLC. Captured in Denver, Colorado in April 2024, it features Julianna Beckert as the wandering actress.

Mark Kramer (Urge Overkill, Bongwater, Shimmy Records) lent his sonic sorcery to master and prep Whitelined for direct-to-vinyl production. This will be A Shoreline Dream’s inaugural vinyl LP, fittingly pressed on pristine 180g white vinyl. The album art features a photo taken by Policky at Yellowstone in 2008, later transformed into an oil-on-photo masterpiece, inspired by that majestic locale.

Over two decades, A Shoreline Dream has churned out a plethora of releases on their own label, Latenight Weeknight Records. They’ve collaborated with legends like Ulrich Schnauss and Mark Kramer, and even landed distribution by iconic UK indie label Rocket Girl Records. They’ve remixed Engineers for K-Scope and opened for Chapterhouse’s final gig.

A boyband irlandesa Westlife vem ao Brasil em 2024 pela turnê “The Wild Dreams Tour”. O único show do grupo em terras brasileiras acontecerá no dia 24 de março no Espaço Unimed, em São Paulo.

O público geral poderá comprar ingressos online a partir das 10h da próxima quinta-feira (28). Já as vendas na bilheteria oficial começam às 12h do mesmo dia. Na modalidade online, o valor dos bilhetes poderá ser dividido em até 10x.

Sucesso durante os anos 2000, a boyband formada por Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan e Nicky Byrne surgiu em 1998. O quarteto emplacou grandes hits, como “Swear it Again”, " If I Let You Go”, “Uptown Girl” e “Hello My Love”. Em 2011, a banda anunciou a separação, mas em 2018 retornou às atividades.

A turnê “The Wild Dreams Tour” iniciou em 2022, passou por todo Reino Unido e agora pela América Latina.
