About this Boat

We are proud to present our Hampton Safari – Star Cruiser, She has a new diesel tank with a full tank of fuel ready to go! Along with newly laid wooden flooring, four new batteries and a new alternator! Originally built in 1975 she is powered by a 1500 BMC engine on a shaft producing 35hp. Her construction is GRP with the original gel-coat, she is a four berth inland river cruiser ideal for the Norfolk Broads and other inland waterways. Her BSSC expires in June of 2026 so you wont have to worry about that for a while! She is also fitted with a shower, toilet, pump out holding tank and fridge which has not even been connected yet, she has shore power and her current river licence is in place. Hampton Safaris are well renowned Broads boats and Star Cruiser is a lovely example with a comfortable spacious cockpit and seating area all the way through the galley and into the stern bedroom.

The fish you will receive has been bred right here in the Tropical Basement, not imported. Pictures are not of the exact fish you will receive, is for reference only. The exact fish will vary in size and color.

PLEASE NOTE

Most of the guppies we sell and ship are between 2 and 3 months old. However, we do not sell guppies that are older than 5 months.

BLUE / GREEN MOSCOW ( original line ) $50 Pair or $70 Trio – Discontinued

This is our original line ( which was imported from Moscow, Russia a long, long time ago ). These have a slight variance in colouration, they shine a gorgeous iridescent metallic blue to turquoise green in color and some showing a higher percentage of blue or green than others but they are truly outstanding in conformation and finnage. These are a medium to large sized fish and a very hardy fertile strain. Absolutely gorgeous (WGA & IFGA) show quality guppies.

BLUE / PURPLE HAWAiiAN MOSCOW $50 Pair or $70 Trio – Discontinued

This line was originally acquired from Luke Roebuck. Hawaiian Moscow is related to the Japanese and German Moscow strains but has been developed and improved by Hawaiian guppy breeders, larger body, faster growing with more true blue color, including blue heads. Depend on lighting condition and angle, water chemistry, etc. these will show dark Blue and Purple (rather than Green) color, I guess they have more Red and Blue iridophores and fewer Yellow color cells. This line is extremely fertile due to selective outcrossing and throws mostly large and some medium-bodied males, some extra large.

We also have another Purple line which is developed here, in our tanks .

Absolutely beautiful (WGA & IFGA) show quality Blue/Green Moscow strain. These are medium-large-sized fish and a very hardy fertile strain. They are the product of our secrets of crossing; very prolific, large-bodied fish with good delta shape. Will also throw a certain percentage of purples, blues, regular greens, and even blacks!

Beautiful fish with very good form and finnage to match both WGA and IFGA show standards in the Triangle/Delta Caudal Class. They are a medium-sized fish. Colors vary slightly from pastel white to golden yellow. This line is developed in our tanks.

A beautiful albino with very good form and finnage to match both WGA and IFGA show standards in the Triangle/Delta Caudal Class. They are a medium-sized fish.

MOSCOW PINK PINGU $35 Pair or $50 Trio – Discontinued

This is not an IFGA ‘Show Quality’ guppy. This is just another beautiful strain of ‘Fancy Guppies’ ( Metalhead Half Pink PINGU Yellow ) which are high quality and also high in demand. These fish generally look like anything from platinum to gold, to rose gold to pink. You can also see the influence of the Half-Black coloring. It all depends on the light, how it’s hitting the fish, from which direction, and natural vs. artificial light.

TB MOSCOW ORANGE FLOWER $70 Pair or $100 Trio – Discontinued

This strain is a new development at Tropical Basement ( House Of Top Quality Moscow Guppies ). Metalhead with an orange ( light red ) base color in the tail with dark or light edges or/and dark or light spots, also some have Leopard or Mosaic markings.

Metalhead Blue Lace guppies are wonderful and lovely guppy varieties that have become very popular among fish hobbyists. These guppy breeds have true, natural, and bright blue coloration ( including full-colored heads / because the strain is a combination of Snake-skin and Moscow gens ), which is less likely to be seen in other guppy strains.

Broker's Comments

This is the joint best Hampton Safari I have have seen. It has never been in a hire fleet, it has been meticulously maintained by her owners regardless of cost. The original gelcoat is in excellent condition She is taken out of the water every year over winter and pressure washed. In spring she is treated to new antifoul in Feb 2015.. Externally she has quality stainless steel fittings, including the pushpit but the cabin roof grab rails and swim ladder. The windows show no signs of leaks whatsoever and the aft companionway door is aluminium. Internally be prepared...She is stunning, every attention to detail has been lavished on her. She has a separate heads and shower and somehow the usually intrusive engine compartment just doesn't intrude at all. The upholstery carpets and curtains is obviously very high quality and are as new. I could go on and on using every superlative I could think of but this really is a superb example. It took the current owner 18 months of "Safari" hunting to find this boat, in his own words "Once I stepped aboard the price became irrelevant" She is priced very realistically taking the market into consideration given the exceptional condition of this boat.

On June 12, 2024, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced new measures targeting Russia’s financial infrastructure, including:

• Expanding the scope of financial sanctions: Extending prohibitions to include information technology (IT) consultancy, design services, and IT support services for enterprise management and design/manufacturing software, effective September 12, 2024, under the authority of Executive Order 14071 (See  Determination )
• Transactions involving agricultural commodities and medical items ( GL No. 6D )
• Energy-related transactions ( GL No. 8J )
• Telecommunications and internet-based communications ( GL No. 25D )
• Wind-down of activities with certain entities and individuals designated on June 12, 2024 (see point 3 below) ( GL No. 98 )
• Moscow Exchange (MOEX): Operates Russia’s largest public trading markets for equity, fixed income, derivatives, foreign exchange, and money market products. MOEX also encompasses Russia’s central securities depository and the largest clearing service provider. Recent measures approved by Russian President Vladimir Putin aim to attract capital through MOEX from both domestic and foreign investors, particularly from countries deemed “friendly,” facilitating investments in Russian sovereign debt and leading defense entities.
• National Settlement Depository (NSD): A subsidiary of MOEX, the NSD acts as Russia’s central securities depository and the paying agent for most Russian corporate debt. It provides bank account services, registration of over-the-counter trades, and liquidity management. The NSD was sanctioned by the European Union in June 2022.
• National Clearing Centre (NCC): Another MOEX subsidiary, the NCC serves as the central counterparty and clearing agent for financial transactions. It is responsible for Ruble forex operations and is supervised by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation (CBR).
• SDN List Additions: Designating individuals and entities involved in Russia’s financial and defense sectors, such as NS Leader Shipping Incorporated and the company known as Oil Tankers SCF MGMT FZCO.
• Secondary Sanctions Risk for Foreign Financial Institutions: The OFAC actions included issuing  New FAQs  and an  updated compliance advisory  for foreign financial institutions. Importantly, OFAC has updated its definition of Russia’s military-industrial base to include all persons blocked pursuant to E.O. 14024. OFAC will now treat any foreign financial institution transacting with a sanctioned Russian entity as though it is working directly with Russia’s military-industrial base (and therefore face secondary sanctions risks under E.O. 14114)
• Related BIS Action: Separately, the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) added five entities and eight addresses to the Entity List ( See Final Rule ). The designation on the Entity List targets Chinese companies that provide dual-use goods to Russia’s defense industrial base. The export restrictions include a crackdown on diversion through shell companies.
