We are the original owners of the car bought from art mohen Honda in jackson michigan in 2017. The first incident was intermittent and the touch screen would clear. Unrelated to the computer problem we we in a collision and during the repair process the car was taken to art mohen Honda and faults were cleared on the computer. This lasted 7 months and now the computer is in complete fault as discribed above.

2 Adaptive Cruise Control problem

The vehicle randomly starts flashing every warning message across the info screen, all steering and cruise functions become disabled. No codes when scanned, can't reset the displaty warnings but clears on its own sometimes, then comes back randonmly. Dealer has been no help and cant fix. Warning that display are: collision itigation system, road departure mitigation system problem, brake proble< steering problem and more.

3 Adaptive Cruise Control problem

All driver assistance functions (adaptive cruise, automatic emergency braking, collision warning, lane departure, lane keep assist, and probably the blind spot warning too) failed simultaneously, as indicated by warning lights and messages on the instrument panel. (also failing were the brake hold function, and the parking brake, and the brake failure light was also illuminated, though the brakes did appear to function. ) (the check engine light also illuminated, though the engine continued to operate. ) the root cause of the failure (as determined by the dealer) was failed fuel injectors causing the engine to run too rich. Yes, it is odd that failed fuel injectors cause a complete and total failure of the driver assistance features, but apparently this is not an uncommon failure mode for this particular problem on this model of engine.

4 Adaptive Cruise Control problem

Multiple times my vehicle has flashed "brake" when there was no object in front of me. At times there were shadows from trees that I thought may have prompted the warning. But in the past 6 weeks during interstate driving and adaptive cruise control engaged, the vehicle brakes for no reason. This can happen several times in just a short distance, or sometimes I can drive 25 miles and it doesn't happen at all. There is no rhyme or reason to the frequency. Most of the time it drops the speed about 5 mph but keeps the cruise engaged at that new speed. I have never let it drop more than 15 mph for fear of causing an issue with other drivers. This past week it applied the brakes just as a semi truck moved into my lane behind me at a close distance. I was afraid the truck would rear-end me. I have received the following warnings in the instrument panel: "road departure mitigation system problem", "collision mitigation system problem", and "adaptive cruise control problem. My husband took pictures of the warnings as they appeared while I was driving. Honda diagnostics could not identify even one code.

5 Adaptive Cruise Control problem

All warning lights have been illuminated for several months. On occassion will turn off, but only for 1-2 days then back on again for another few weeks. After on-line research learned this is a very common problem for this make/model/year that Honda is not acknowledging as an issue. Honda dealer service technician diagnosed what I already knew that car needs new fuel injectors. Most safety features and cruise control do not function as a result. Parts are on backorder.

What I experienced was a multiple system failure. It began with a dead battery two years ago. When the engine was restarted the tpms light came on along with the indicator light to get your car checked. The lights only came on intermittently at first and it didn't seem to affect the function of the car. I had assumed that when I replaced the battery, I had loosened a fuse. As time passed, the number of lights on the dashboard increased along with the duration of time they stayed lit up. Now, within the past 3 months, all the system indicator lights are on constantly, with the accompanying beeps, dings and sounds for each light. Yesterday, on the highway, my dashboard began to dim and the vehicle began to stutter. The dashboard indicator read critical failure detected. Stop driving when safe. At the time I was on the highway in the right lane going 51 mph. This is unsafe. I have children and grandchildren and I do not feel safe transporting any of them. The reported problems are: brake system, tire pressure monitor, electric parking brake, road departure mitigation system, collision mitigation system, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, hill start assist, vehicle stability assist, anti-lock brake, power steering system.

7 Adaptive Cruise Control problem

When I was driving on highway when moving from texas to indiana, about 11 warning lights were suddenly on. After sending my car to a local vehicle and mechanic autocenter, the vehicle has been detected code p0172 and p0304 issues which trigger check engine light one along with another 10 warning lights, including turning off cruise control and off-road detection systems. Both my local Honda dealer and mechanic auto center diagnose it as fuel injector faulty and warned me not driving it on highway for potential risk.

My 16 year old son was driving the vehicle when all of the lights on the dashboard started flashing and alarms started sounding. As a new driver he found this really alarming and didn't know what to do. He was driving along at 40 mph along a local main road and very nearly collided with a vehicle in front of him at a set of traffic lights because he lost attention on the road. He pulled to the side of the road and was then a hazard to other road users and in a dangerous spot himself until he called me and I went out to him in a different car. We drove home carefully as the car seemed to be running fine but he was understandably shaken up. This has occurred multiple times in the last couple of weeks. The car bleeps several times and goes through all of the things that are not working correctly. Emission system problem, brake system problem, brake hold system problem, power steering system (eps) problem, vehicle stability assist (vsa) problem), hill start assist problem, adaptive cruise control problem, collision mitigation system problem, road departure mitigation system problem, electric parking brake problem, tire pressure monitor problem are all shown as faulty. The dealership have now told me that it is a fuel injector problem and they will need to be replaced. Looks like the car is showing an obd-ii code of running too rich and cylinder misfire. I have codes p0172 and p0303 and one other I think. My car has only done 45,000 miles. From reading more about this it seems that the fuel injectors in my generation of Honda Cr-v (mine is a 2017) have widespread issues with these components. The fault causes the warning lights to light up like a christmas tree which can be extremely distracting. All of the safety features also no longer work which is dangerous for the driver continuing to drive in that state. Inexperienced drivers like my son (and anyone else for that matter) can be left in very hazardous situations.

2017 Cr-v has 55,000 miles on it. All of the dashboard warning lights are coming on randomly, causing panic and making it impossible to tell if something is really wrong. Very dangerous. Honda dealer diagnosis is to replace all 4 fuel injectors at cost of $1,726. There are literally thousands of reports about this online, people being given the same repair fix, often without permanent success, and with having to pay thousands for relatively low mileage vehicles. Honda has issued extended warranty for other Honda models about fuel injectors but has done nothing for the Honda Cr-vs. 2017 seems to be a bad year for this fault. Driving a vehicle with multiple warnings flashing randomly is dangerous.

While sitting in the longest traffic jam I ever experienced on a hot summer day and not moving, suddenly all lights and driver assistant lights came on the dashboard and the parking brake engaged. I was able to release the parking brake and drive with all the lights lit on the dashboard. My vehicle had only 88k miles. A Honda dealership ran a diagnostics and reported a code po172 engine fuel trim lean so car will need injectors and fuel pipe to fix. I just paid for the diagnostics and not the repair since they were able to reset the computer to clear the problem.

While driving all these systems will start flashing and no longer work. The dealer's fix it to simply reset the codes. So this can happen at any time and be a risk to the driver and people in the vehicle and around it. This has happened numerous times in the 5 years I have owned this vehicle.

Started having trouble with the car just suddenly braking on the highway a few times but was able to disengage the acc and take control of the car. A few times the entire radar system would shut down and I would take it into the dealer where they could find nothing wrong with the car even though by that time acc would not work on the longest interval setting. Finally on a road trip in the beginning of August 2023 the entire radar system broke and could not be reset. I needed to replace the entire radar system for $1900 on a car that had less than 42,000 miles and is 5 years old!! not to mention the danger in suddenly stopping on the freeway. I called Honda and they do not have a recall for this problem . . . . Does someone have to have a terrible accident before a recall is issued. Not to mention the cost of replacing the entire radar system.

15 Adaptive Cruise Control problem

As I was driving several warning beeps sounded and several different malfunction alarms showed on the dashboard including cruise control, brake system, and lane mitigation system. When I parked the vehicle the emergency brake light continued to flash and would not engage. I was able to turn the vehicle off, wait a while and resumed driving to get home. The brake light did remain steady when I turned off the car, but it appeared that the other malfunction alarms were still in effect. In addition, a few days prior while driving on the freeway, my dashboard monitoring system dimmed unexpectedly. When I pulled off the freeway I was able to access and recover the light/dimming system. My vehicle has only 45,000 miles. I have experienced other odd electronic problems that resolved spontaneously in the past. However, these issues are worrisome and feel unsafe, especially when they occur while operating the vehicle.

The fuel injectors in this generation of Honda Cr-v's (2017-current), have widespread reported issues related to clogged injectors - mostly in 2017-2019 models at approx. The 75,000 mile range. This causes the vehicles computer to illuminate multiple warning messages on the dash board (emission system problem, brake system problem, brake hold system problem, power steering system (eps) problem, vehicle stability assist (vsa) problem), hill start assist problem, adaptive cruise control problem, collision mitigation system problem, road departure mitigation system problem, electric parking brake problem, tire pressure monitor problem). 17 Adaptive Cruise Control problem

Vehicle is going in to 'limp" mode at highway speeds without warning. All safety features including acc, lkas, emergency braking, collision avoidance, brake hold do not work when this happens. Vehicle must be pulled over to the side of the road, shut off and then restarted to allow car to operate at normal speed until the issue occurs again ( usually 20-30 minutes later). Brought car to Honda and they confirmed fuel injector issue. Part is discontinued and new parts not available. No recall, but incidences where all warning lights come on the dash are all over user groups on the internet. Problem always comes back to fuel injectors. The main issue is that it goes in to limp mode with no acceleration available without warning. This creates a huge safety issue in rush hour traffic. Honda does not acknowledge the problem with the injector and can offer no information as to when replacement injectors would be available.

All 8 systems associated with collision avoidance, lane change warning, tire pressure, cruise control, braking system, and engine electrics are flashing warning lights about 80% of the time. The car runs but these systems are compromised (cruise won't work, emergency braking doesn't work, etc. ) the dealer has told me different things each time he has diagnosed it, the latest being a need for new turbo units, but the number of people who have this problem and get different "solutions" from dealers only to have the problem return indicates a systemic problem.

I was driving down the highway and all adas lights came on and kept repeating. I reset the system but the warnings remained. I took the vehicle to local mechanic who plugged in his scanner. The first thing that popped up was wheel speed sensor along with all the other adas warnings. Did alot of research on the internet and found out this was a common problem with the crv. I decided to buy a new sensor and replace myself. This actually solved the problem. Why do all adas lights come on for one problem?.

I bought this car on April 30,2022 for $30,000. It had18,0000 (plus) miles. Within 6 months the idiot lights would come on and all safety controls were cancelled. When this first happened, I was frightened that I would be involved in an accident or the car would just shut down. I called a dealer close by and was told by their service manager to take it to an auto store, have them put it on their computer to tell me what was wrong. I did that. Was told I needed an oil change. Had the oil change and things were ok for about 4 days when all lights came back on again scaring the h__l out of me. Had a private mechanic check it out and was told it needed an oxygen sensor. Then the car wouldn't start. Turned out the battery was low, so I replaced the battery. Warning lights did not go on for a couple of days. I then went to the local Honda dealer who told me to bring the car in and for $190 they would use their computers to tell me what was wrong. Can you imagine what chutzpa that takes? they, knowing what the problem was yet charging me to tell me. I am now out of state. Took vehicle into closest dealership for oil change, tire rotation. Told service of dashboard lights, what I had done so far, and asked them to figure out problem. They said I needed $1500 fuel injectors which would have been covered by the warranty but that ran out on length of time. The car only had 30,000 miles but was 6 years old. Suggested I ask Honda for an extension of the warranty to cover costs. The lights are still continuously on now. All safety features are essentially off. I am afraid to drive it in fear of having an accident. I have contacted America Honda for an extension of the warranty and will attach that timeline and phone calls to/from them. The reason for doing this is that I do not believe installing new fuel injectors will fix this problem. I think it is in the computer system itself. And I am in danger of having a crash. 09.

Shift button knob broke on April 20- 2022 location of the vehicle was out of the USA. Local Honda dealer was notified about the recall and ordered the parts, the replacement of the knob was done may may 10- 2022. I payed for the repair and Honda corporation denied a reimbursement.

All warning lights start cycling through and flashing. Not able to use the automated driving system at all. Honda diagnostics reports all 4 fuel injectors need to be replaced. Fuel is too rich. This is not just a cold weather problem. I live in arkansas and it has been happening all summer in 100+ degree heat.

While in adaptive cruse control and traveling at highway speeds of 70 mph, I attempted to pass a slower moving semi tractor and trailer. Just as I was about to complete the pass, with traffic building up behind me, the system went to automatic braking, as if there were traffic in front of me. There was absolutely no traffic in front of me for at least a mile. This occurred on a bright sunny day on a straight stretch of road. I was able to apply excessive pressure to the gas pedal and slowly able to get the car up to highway speed again without getting rear ended. This has happened on three occasions, always with passing a tractor trailer. I have taken it to the dealer and they say they can find no problem. In addition, more times than I can count, I have had the car alert me and apply the breaks when there are no cars in front of me or beside me during normal driving (no cruse control). Lastly, almost without fail, if I am traveling at highway speeds using adaptive cruse control and the car in front of me takes an exit, my car will almost always break, even though the car that was in front of me is now clearly off on the exit. These sudden slowdowns when the traffic behind me is expecting me to maintain speed or speed up is a real hazard for getting rear ended or having someone get hostile towards me with their driving. Again, the dealer has been notified many times and indicates that they can find no problem. I have now turned off all the automatic driving features to avoid these issues, but the second issue still remains and I am out over $3,000 for a group of electronic components in my car that I can not use due to safety issues. Issue started with the car when brand new and continues to this day.

On occasion, while using the adaptive cruise control, the system will suddenly begin to brake or slow down without any obstruction being present. My sense of this over the past five years is that the system perceives a 'shadow,' typically from an overpass or a truck in the next lane, as an obstruction in front of my car. The braking is short-lived event and has not caused my car to come to a complete stop or caused an accident. I am reporting this now, due to the news stories about this issue with the cr v.

System failure: fuel emissions system problem and all other warning lights are on. Safety: cruise control does not function and automatic breaking does not function. Dealership: yes, the problem was reproduced even after the spark plugs and rocket arm assembly were replaced inside the limits of the 6 year unlimited mileage warranty. The dealership acknowledged that 5 or 6 other customers were in with similar complaints this month. Others: an independent garage inspected the vehicle and confirmed that a warranty should cover this problem some 8 months ago. Indications are a weak cylinder may be the root cause of the fuel emissions system problem in addition to the fuel injectors and pipes. Warning lamps, messages and other symptoms were present prior to the failure and appeared well before the manufacturer's warranty expired. The dealership we purchased the vehicle from failed to locate the problem and did not repair when we first discovered the problem and brought the vehicle in for repair in 11/2020. We recently contacted Honda corporation directly and they gave us a case number for reference while they review this complaint.

All warning lights on dash show up upon starting vehicle. Used to be intermittent, now constant. When lights are on, none of the safety or advanced driving features work--eg cruise control, lane keep assist, anti lock brake, parking brake. It has been taken to the dealership twice for this issue, and dealership has tried various things from replacing battery to updating software with no effect, costing hundreds of dollars and weeks of it being in the shop. From my internet search, this problem seems widespread and I do not feel safe driving without the safety features, abs, etc.

I have experienced problems with this since December 2021. I replaced the battery three weeks ago and the issue reappeared today, 27 Apr 22. While researching the issue, I discovered many Honda users experiencing the same issue. This is an issue Honda has to address this issue. I am the only owner of my vehicle which only has 39k miles on it.

Recently my 2017 Honda crv started flashing these 3 warning 1. Road departure mitigation system problem 2. Adaptive cruise control problem 3. Collision mitigation system problem. But once in quarter these warnings flash but after engine power off/on warning message goes away. Last week when I was driving on the interstate highway, all of sudden this warning flashed, after a while I stopped at a service station. Off/ on the engine but all of the 3 warnings didn't go off. From a safety point of view cruise/collision mitigation/collision mitigation control is very important on highway. At-least these features prevent and keep you alert while changing lanes, apply proper braking system on the highway from safety measure. The vehicle has not been driven more than 42k miles in the last 4 years. Although the 3 year 36 miles standard warranty is already passed. Today when I went to the service center after diagnosticians they mentioned that the cruise control sensor has failed due to these issues. Due to pandemic the supply chain is impacted and part is not available. So I ordered the part to the service center. The brake system light is also on. Similar issue occurred sometime in 2018 after purchase of the new car in 2017. Initially I informed this issue to the service center. Case no was open with Honda - case # 06624477. But the issue was not able to be replicated, the service center people told me that the software is updated and that it is not going to flash again. Looks like these new generation cars start creating problems once it completes its life cycle of 3 years and 36k miles warranty period. At least going for a new car was for peace of mind, but looks like this went the other way for me. Last 6 month back I had to get repaired the complete air conditioner unit, service center people mentioned that ac hose pipe has leakage.

For some unknown reason all the warning lights will come on in the instrument cluster. This includes all the safety features of the vehicle. When the lights are on none of the safety features work. This includes the emergency braking, lane keep assist, and the cruise control just to name a few. I have reached out to the Honda corp. With no luck on getting the issue fixed.

While driving on the NJ turnpike dashboard lights came on indicating system issue with adaptive cruise control, road hazard mitigation system and brake system. Went to the dealer and they said the radar needed to be replaced at a cost of $1300. Research on the internet indicates this is a problem with many 2017 Honda crv's and class action lawsuits have been launched across the country. I believe there should be a recall on the 2017 Honda crv since it is affecting so many vehicles. Thank you.

All ada warning lights come on when vehicle is being driven. Does not seem to affect drivability but all functions are disabled. Lights have gone off on their own once other times had to cycle power on computer to reset. Problem is becoming more frequent.

While driving under ordinary conditions, warning systems begin. The first warning is to pull over because the awd system is overheating. From that point, many different warning messages begin scrolling with repeated warnings of all systems in the car failing. This has happened on two separate occasions, approximately 3 weeks apart. Also, on one occassion, while driving, the brake light began to flash to caution a slow down, and there were no other vehicles or obstacles on any side of the car. After the car has been parked for several hours, the computer seems to "reset" itself, and normal operation is returned. All instances occurred during normal city driving at speeds below 35 miles per hour.

For the past few months all of my warning lights come on. They will go off at times, other times I have to pull over to restart my car. In addition, my display will go dim or get very bright on it's own. On February 27, 2021 my alarm started to go off for no reason. They car was parked in my driveway and no one was near the remote. I could not get the alarm to go off, no matter what I did. On Monday, March 1st I went to start my car and it would not start or respond to anything with the remote. I contacted the dealership, valley Honda in monroeville, PA. They stated that it could be the battery having low voltage. The dealership is over 45 minutes away and I needed a vehicle to help care for my ill father so I purchased a new battery and installed it late Monday night. As soon as I started the vehicle all of the dashboards lights started flashing and the alarm would randomly go off. This continued until I could get it to the dealership on weds night. They diagnosed it as a body control module. My car is only 4 years old with 50k mileage but the Honda warranty is out. I even called Honda who only offered a courtesy partial payment, as long as I did not pick up my vehicle until they finished their investigation. There is absolutely no reason for my display to have been acting up or a need to replace a bcm with a vehicle that is only 4 years old!.

Adaptive Cruise Control needs adapting

HI, I have a 2021 CR-V Hybrid Touring. I have adjusted the ACC sensitivity so it works okay in heavier, more-closely-spaced traffic, and I have gotten comfortable with ACC engaged. I have turned off all the other "services" such as lane-keeper assist, finding them either of little value or actually intrusive, distracting, or counter-productive. I'm good with the ACC, though, having adapted to one annoying quirk and learned to tolerate two glaring problems. The quirk is that the system takes too long to re-accelerate after pulling out from behind a slower-moving car with which the ACC has matched speed. If I pull out into a lane with faster-moving traffic, the ACC takes far too long to get the CR-V get back up to its pre-set, faster speed. This necessitates more user-intervention and partially defeats the purpose of ACC, which is to require less user intervention. The two glaring problems are, 1) The ACC system misreads cars that pull off the roadway to the right. The system continues to slow the CR-V, sometimes dramatically, long after the car in front has moved well clear of the CR-V's path of travel. Then, as above, it takes far too long to re-accelerate to the pre-set speed. 2) (This one approaches bizarre.) If ACC is active and traffic in front of the CR-V comes to a complete stop, the CR-V will stop as well (definitely a good thing), then automatically start moving again as traffic in front again starts moving. The problem arises because when traffic in front again starts moving, the CR-V will start moving even if the driver is not in the seat . So let's say, as has happened to most of us, I'm at a place where traffic stops for a while, and I want to get out of the car (to see if I can see what is causing the hold up). If the ACC is still active and I don't get back into the CR-V in time, the CR-V will drive away without me. (See the warning on P. 497 of the Owner's Manual.) I can't believe this got by the safety nannies. What if there are living things in the car--children or pets or adults who don't drive? The obvious remedy is to cause the system to disengage when the car stops moving, but there are alternavies: existing sensors know when there's no driver in the driver's seat and/or that the seat belt is unbuclked. It's inconceivable to me that the ACC doesn't disengage when either speed reaches zero, the driver leaves the driver's seat, or the driver unbuckles his/her seat belt.

I don't know. I think putting the car in Park might deactivate ACC.

All three things I mentioned are my issue. I posted them as my issues. For me, the ACC system doesn't re-accelerate quickly enough, over-reacts to cars pulling out of the way, and needlessly endangers people. As far as the car being able to drive away by itself: distracted people often forget to do things they "should." (That's why there are buckle-your-seat-belt warnings and why airplanes won't take off until the flight attendants make sure everyone's belt is buckled and why we have laws and law-enforcement--people don't always do what they "should.") The people at Honda see "my" issue clearly enough to put a warning about it in the Owner's Manual. My point was and is that it should be impossible for the car to drive away without a driver, and it would be easy to eliminate the possiblity.  

Vehicles with the push button shifter will automatically engage Park when the driver's door is opened. It is a good bet that all trims/models of the Gen 6 CR-V will all have push button shifters. With this said, I can't understand why anyone would get out of a running car while it is in gear.

I don't know if the car has a weight sensor on the driver's seat, though I know it does for the passenger, in order to disable the airbag if the seal is unoccupied. I do think the car shouldn't allow you to do what you describe, but getting out of a car that's in gear is generally a very poor idea.

I'd like to see it respond a bit faster. Is that okay with everyone?  

Just FYI, when you open the door if the CR-V is in ACC and it has stopped itself in traffic, the car does not go into Park. It stays in Drive. That's why Honda has issued a warning to drivers. So, to recap: There are, in my opinion, one minor and two major flaws in Honda's implementation of ACC (so far): Minor: It doesn't speed up quickly enough on its own when one pulls out of a slower into a faster lane. Easy enough to adjust to, but one shouldn't have to adjust to it. Major: It reacts too dramatically to a car that's already into an exit and well out of my car's path. That will no doubt be adjusted eventually by Honda. Not impossible to get used to, but it needs to be adjusted so as not to react to cars that are not even remotely a threat. Major: Under certain conditions, the car can drive away without a driver in it. Honda is worried enough about this to have posted a warning in the Owner's Manual. Rather than post a warning, this should not even be possible, and it would be simple to make it impossible. Besides the ways I've already posted to circumvent even the possibility of this (disengage ACC when driver's weight is off the seat or when driver unbuckles the seat belt), add a third: both disengage ACC and place the transmission in Park when the driver's door is opened. In my opinion.

Just the original poster continuing to reiterate their opinion and ignoring everyone elses opinions, or taking shots at other members for simply disagreeing and stating why they disagree.
