"During my year in France this was my home from home. Since I was there in 2006-2007 I have tried - but not always succeeded - to return there each year for La fête de la Saint-Patrick. Warren runs this authentic Irish pub in the centre of Tours. There are some nights for quizzes and bands, but the majority of the time it sticks to what it does best - being a great local pub with good beer and a friendly atmosphere. It may no longer be the case, but there was a book to record each pint the regulars drank. After 100 pints you would get your own pint glass with your name engraved. These hang all over the bar but mine sits back home in the UK now. I miss The Pale and have never found a bar that comes close to equalling it's greatness."
