First of all, shout out to Johnny_Venom ( https://instagram.com/johnny_venom?igshid=MzMyNGUyNmU2YQ==) for giving such an amazing, interactive tour for my family & I. My sister got us a tour on Groupon that gives a tour of this facilty. We were able to call and set up the tour very easily. It is very spacious. Animals are well-kept and there is a huge variety! There are snakes, turtles, lizards, caimán, fish, birds and much more! My boys ages 14 & 12, were very impressed with the tour! My youngest, who is on the spectrum, is a reptile enthusiast. Johnny was very awesome in recognizing that my son needed more time and attention and showed us a variety of animals that we got to pet and hold. It was sooo much fun! They also host bday parties.

Do not buy anything here!!! I spent 2000 dollars with getting a wound turtle. No one tells me the turtle was injured. They just send you bad animals. The funny thing is, they said this wound was caused during shipping. How could a turtle bit himself at the back in a soft bag? The only thing they do was finding excuses and will never try to solve problems. Just be careful.

Kevin McCurley is the owner of this place. He has been operating on his own and other peoples' snakes and at least one tortoise. He has cut into these animals without adequate pain control (as he doesn't have access to pain meds) or the use of sterile procedures. He misdiagnosed and probably killed his own cobra by refusing to take her to a vet. Then he dosed her with an antibiotic (he obtained somehow w/o a prescription), which happened to be toxic to snakes (according to one vet), thinking she had an infection. In fact, she had gout, which is not treatable with antibiotic. When she was necropsied, it was determined that her kidneys were destroyed by the antibiotic. I spoke with the people at the state of New Hampshire in charge of regulating the practice of vet medicine, who told me that many people have sent in reports of Kevin operating on or medicating his own and other reptiles. The worst thing is that he is on YouTube and FB telling other people to also practice vet medicine on their own snakes, following his by the seat of his pants own examples. See this disgusting example. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhT2n3kaCj4&list=PPSV NERD has hundreds of snakes for sail on MORPH MARKET. This means he has the care of hundreds of snakes who receive no vet care. I for one would be very leery about buying an animal from them unless they let me vet check it before I bought it.

Horrible experience with this sham of a company. Multiple people making multiple excuses, for multiple mistakes. As of now, I'm out $450 and have no snake in hand. They appear to not plan on refunding me my money either.

December 2019 Very cool place! They tour is awesome. It is HOT up there though. The guy that gave us the tour (Rob i think ) knew so much about every single animal there. It was fascinating. They also have some farm animals outside that you can feed/pet.

They have a large number of snakes but like other people mentioned, the snake we bought was not the snake we received. We went in person and asked about coral glow ball python, we saw one online that was selling for $275 that looked good. We decided to buy him and also to buy all the material for the enclosure, total of $375. Because the snake was still a baby and still eating live we asked NERD to keep it and to try switching to frozen thawed before we take him with us, this was our first ball python and we were more comfortable letting them try the diet switch. After 3 weeks the ball python, was still not taking frozen thawed, so we decided to go get him and try ourselves. We got the snake and let him alone for a few days in his enclosure trying to not disturb him or stress him. On day 7 we finally spent a good 30 minutes of interaction and took some pictures, we then realized that the ball python that was give to us was not the same that we purchased the first day we went in. The spots on I body are clearly different and we were probably given what they had around. I am not sure if this was just a mistake, but it seems to me that it might just be the way they run the business. I'll attach the pictures of the two snakes so you can clearly see the differences. Especially in the head and first part of the body, the lines and dots don't match. As we are not planning to breed this ball python, having received a different ball python is not too much of an issue, but if we would have paid more than $400 , or we had plans to breed the python I would be really pissed off. I recommend you buy and take the reptiles the same day you see them and maybe take a picture while they are showing them to you just to make sure they don't show you a reptile and then give you a different one.

I had spent a few months in search of the perfect BP morphe to start my collection and I finally found it on the n.e.r.d. website. I purchased a snake for a little over 1k plus $50 for overnight shipping. Immediately I received a confirmation of my purchase with a note saying "keep a look out for our shipping confirmation email," after I was pleasantly surprised to see the snake's status read "sold out" right after my payment went through. It took well over 24h to receive an email confirming shipping date and still had to wait a few more days for my "expedited" shipping. The day after receiving tracking information, an employee reached out saying the snake that I had originally purchased had been bought prior and is no longer available due to a mixup at their retail store, but they are sending a sibling and attached a photo. This snake was no where as colorful and vibrant as the original and was completely disappointed. At this point The snake had already been shipped without any approval from me stating that this was okay. I reached out stating that accidents happen and hopefully they can work with me for finding a return and picking from the other available snakes of this morphe. Their response was short and hostile, stating this was not their fault and there is nothing they are willing to do to help. Terrible customer service and an appalling run business.

This is probably the best place to purchase a reptile, i purchased a ball python (male pastel banana genetic stripe) about 6 months old. He arrived very healthy, very good weight. i ordered on a sat or sunday and the animal was at my house on tue (live animals only ship certain days of the week, by responsible sellers, to mitigate any chance of harm and stress to the animal) in the described time frame which is what i was informed by both, the site before ordering and thru email communication, which was excellent as i had a few questions prior to ordering and they need to make sure someone will be home for the delivery so they make sure of that as well. Fyi, If ur not gonna be home send it to a local FedEx pickup location so u can get it at ur leisure but obv dont order an animal if u will not be there or u cannot pick it up immediately when it arrives to the pickup location as this is a huge risk to the animal the longer it sits in a box. Very happy with the purchase its 3 months later and all is well. Quarantined the snake just to be sure (as everyone should do that regardless of the breeder) and he had no parasites of any kind and ate very week since arriving. Couldnt be happier thanks Kevin. Hes in an experimental bioactive setup and i can tell he absolutely loves it. I dont usually review stuff but felt the need as the service was excellent as well as the quality of animals. This company is one of the most diverse and knowledgeable companies in buisness right now. There are very few breeders of ball pythons that were doing it when they were junk snakes no one wanted and 20 dollars was a tuff sell for any of them n they were being plucked from the wild. Breeders help drastically limit the effect on wild populations as there is less n less reasons to ever want to buy an exported animal thus limiting the buisness of people catching them in the wild to sell. Idk anyone at NERD personally and have no reason at all to say anything nice other than its the truth. Will be ordering a female soon and im excited to be checking out his animals. Again thankyou couldn't be happier.

We had the best experience here today! We went on a tour guided by the owner who is very knowledgeable, kind, and laid back. My fiancé is a huge reptile fan and they let us hold the reptiles and toured us around the facility! The tour was very cheap they should be charging more for the experience because it was great! They take wonderful care of all of their animals and the staff are truly dedicated to the animals that they care for. I would recommend this place to anybody who is interested in adopting a reptile or anybody who would like to gain more knowledge about reptiles. They even do children's birthday party's! Ten out of ten experience!

About a month ago I gave this place a bad review but I realize now I was wrong and I own my sh*t. On a previous trip there they had most of the reptiles closed off to the public which left very little to choose from on the store floor. In addition at the time of my visit I didn't find the staff overly friendly or attentive. I came to find that the reptiles were temporarily closed off as a health safety precaution for them which says a lot about how much they care for their animals. As for the staff maybe it was an off day we all have them. That said I went back for another visit about a month later and I came away so impressed. No one and I mean no one in New England can come close to the selection of reptiles they offer. Nor can they come close to the collective knowledge of reptiles in that building. These people are experts! Further my son and I were interested in Tokay Geckos and politely asked a young lady working there if we could ask a few questions. It was extremely busy so I didn't expect much but boy she could not of been nicer and more accommodating. She spent a good 15 minutes talking with us and answering all our questions. She even offered to go upstairs to the breeding facility to show us some of the CB babies they currently have to offer. I wasn't buying that day and they were busy so I politely declined her kind offer. She went above and beyond and I left with such a great feeling from the way she treated us and for knowing they would be my go to moving forward for quality bred and cared for reptiles. In fact I was so impressed I just made my first purchase of a baby CB Tokay Gecko. We can't wait to pick the little bugger up. Thanks N.E.R.D.S you guys are awesome!
