Do the buses have room for an electric scooter?

Is it an electric scooter for recreational use? Or is it more like a motorized wheelchair? If you notify the tour company in advance, they should be able to accommodate a motorized wheelchair.

Does the bus just drop you off at the west rim and then you have to do a lot of walking? Same question t for south rim. Or is it get off buss take pics and get back on bus? I ask because I can’t walk much. Please answer

Hi Ruth, The West Rim bus tour drops you off at the Skywalk area, which is where Eagle Point is located. You can do the hike to Guano Point (it’s one of the best views of the Grand Canyon), but it is about an hour-long hike. The South Rim bus tour is similar in that you’ll get dropped off at a viewpoint (Mather Point). However, you’ll have the option to take the bus to Bright Angel or do the hike. Hope this helps!

For example, you may want to rent a bicycle and bike along the 7-mile-long Hermit Road at the South Rim. Hermit Road begins at the Village and ends at the landmark of Hermit’s Rest. Bright Angel Lodge

This rustic Grand Canyon lodge is also a National Historic Landmark. Like Hermit’s Rest, the lodge was designed by famous Grand Canyon architect Mary Jane Colter and built in 1935. At that time, the Fred Harvey Company operated the lodge. A history exhibit on the company is featured at the property.

Lookout Studio

A lookout featured over the South Rim, this building was constructed in 1914 to serve as an observation point for the Fred Harvey Company. You can buy rock specimens, books, and photo prints at the studio’s gift shop.

Grand Canyon Butterflies

You can see the 292 butterfly species that call the Grand Canyon South Rim home in just about any area of the park. The two-tailed swallowtail butterfly is the largest butterfly seen in the park. It features a wingspan of about 6.5 inches. Compare that to the smallest butterfly, the Western pygmy butterfly, with a wingspan of about one-half inch.

This graceful but large animal sometimes can be seen nibbling outside El Tovar. Keep your distance if you see this animal, as it is considered one of the more dangerous animals in Grand Canyon National Park. For instance, a bull elk may weigh more than a grizzly, or as much as 1,200 pounds.

The South Rim and Grand Canyon National Park is home to a number of endangered and threatened animals as well. Some of these animals include the Mexican spotted owl, the aforementioned California Condor, and the willow flycatcher.

How will we go to the grand canyon.

All of our tours to the Grand Canyon will start you being picked up directly from your Las Vegas hotel. Your canyon tour guide will contact you the day before and let you know exactly when and where to go at your Las Vegas hotel. You will have your tour guides phone number, you can always call the travel guide if needed the morning of the tour in the morning. No need to look for taxis, a tour bus, or Ubers to get to your canyon tour, just walk down to your pickup spot, look for the van with the MaxTour logo on it, and you'll be on your way to the national canyon rim!

We conduct all of our canyon tours in 15-seat passenger vans, this is most important when visiting the West or South Rim of the Grand Canyon. If your tour is on a travel bus, there are very limited canyon scenic stops that allow you to go to the South rim or West rim. If you are driving one of our tour vans, all the same canyon overlooks that are available to cars are available to you. So for our tours to the National Park, we are able to pick the absolute best locations for you to experience the Grand Canyon, not just the locations that they allow a bus to go. In addition to seeing one of nature's most impressive creations, the Grand Canyon, you'll also have a chance to see one of humanity's most impressive creations, the Hoover Dam. That's right! It's almost like seeing art. Every canyon tour, whether you are going to the South or West Rim, stops at the Hoover Dam while on the way to the Grand Canyon. This impressive concrete mega-structure stands over 726 feet tall. Completed in 1936 it contains over 4.3 million cubic yards of concrete. That's enough concrete to build a 2-lane road from Seattle to Miami. You'll have a chance to stand on top of the dam and look straight over the edge at the mighty Colorado River. Behind you on the other side of the dam is Lake Mead, the largest reservoir in the United States by capacity. The Hoover Dam, together with Lake Mead and all the water it holds, generates over 4 billion kilowatts of electricity per year. That's enough to power 1.3 million households. That's over 3x the height of the glass floor on the observation deck of the Willis Tower in Chicago, which is at a height of 1353 ft. Without a doubt the Grand Canyon observation deck is the highest glass floor in the world. Don't worry about its strength though, you'll be completely safe while viewing the canyon floor. That's because the canyon Skywalk is constructed with enough steel to hold the weight of seventy fully loaded jumbo jets. This portion of the park and its sights are owned by the Hualapai Native Americans. That's right, you are standing on their reservation. Nuestro Tour al Gran Cañón comienza en la puerta de su hotel en Las Vegas y allí será recogido por nuestro guía de habla hispana en una cómoda van turística, quien se asegurará de que usted disfrute al máximo toda la excursión al gran cañon, tomándoles fotografías profesionales e información de los lugares en todo el tour.

Este tour pasa por la ciudad histórica de  Boulder City,  que fue poblada por los creadores de la  Presa Hoover y en la que haremos una parada para fotografías con vistas en primer plano de esta maravilla de la ingeniería, que fue construida en los años 30. Nuestra excursion también visita un hermoso mirador del  Lago Mead , el segundo lago artificial más grande de Los Estados Unidos.

En nuestro Tour al Gran Cañón a parte de nuestro guía explicar todo muy detalladamente, también tendremos un audio visual que nos mostrará como se construyo el Skywalk del Gran Cañon.

A mitad de camino se hará una parada para desayuno / cafe o baños en medio del desierto de Mojave
