Welcome to Jammu, the winter capital of Indian State Jammu and Kashmir. Arrive at Jammu airport and proceed to Katra, the base point of Vaishnodevi. Arrive at Katra and check into your hotel. Rest of the evening is at leisure. Overnight at Katra.

Katra (Vaishnodevi)

After early morning breakfast, begin your journey by foot to Vaishnodevi Temple, a trek of total 28 kms. Later return to your hotel in Katra. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Katra.

Cancellation Policy & Payment Terms

• If the Guest decides to cancel the tour for any reason whatsoever then s/he shall give a written application to the Company within specified time limit along with original receipt issued by the Company. Such cancellation will attract cancellation charges stated hereunder.
• Cancellation charges will be calculated on gross tour cost and the cancellation charges shall depend on date of departure and date of cancellation
• Cancellation charges for any type of transport ticket are applicable as per the rules of the concerned authority.
• Air tickets issued on special fares are NON REFUNDABLE and Guest shall bear cancellation charges.
• Any refund payable to the Guest will be paid after the Company receives refund from the respective authorities. The Company deducts processing charges from the refund to be paid to the Guest.

Payment Terms

• Airlines/Room up-gradation and complimentary will not be entertained during the tour unless if specified at the time of booking.
• There is no refund for any services not utilized during the tour.
• Security deposit is required either in cash or credit card by hotels which is refundable provided no room incidentals are incurred. This security deposit is not included in this quote and must be paid by the guests/corporate directly to the hotel when checking in.
• Guests are advised not to keep valuables in the coach/vehicle while sightseeing. The Company shall not be responsible for loss of valuables from the coach / vehicle . If the coach / vehicle is accidentally or otherwise damaged by the Guest, s/he will be required to pay compensation for the same.

Jammu is the nearest rail head/Jammu Airport , to visit the hill shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi. A days travel to Katra forms the base halt to Vaishno Devi, wherein a trek to the shrine could be indertaken. Return to Jammu the following day for a local sight seeing places which include Mubarak Mandi, Purani Mandi, Rani Park, Amar Mahal, Bahu Fort etc . The last day is earmarked for a bit of shopping and board flight/train for onward journey.

An Introduction

Begin your sojourn to attain what you have been seeking with Vaishno Devi darshan at the holy abode of Mata Adi Shakti. Located amid the folds of Trikoot Parvat in Jammu and Kashmir, Mata Vaishno Devi Temple is among the holiest shrines as per Hinduism. The Goddess Vaishno also known by the names Mata Rani, Trikuta and Vaishnavi is believed to be the granter of boon and no pilgrim goes empty handed from her abode. Which is why devotees take a Vaishno Devi tour at least once in their lifetime to seek the blessings of the goddess and wash off their sins.

As soon as you arrive at Jammu railway station or airport, your sojourn to Vaishno Devi Temple will commence. Our tour representative will guide you for the road trip to Katra which is located 50 km away from Jammu. As soon as you reach Katra, you will be escorted to the hotel, where you can relax for the night.

Today you will finally embark on the holy Vaishno Devi tour. The shrine sits at an elevation of 5300 ft. and is counted among one of the Shakti Peethas. Maa Durga is worshipped here as Vaishno Devi, a central deity in the Shaktism tradition of Hinduism. The distance between Katra and Bhawan is 13 km which can be covered by helicopter, ponies or palanquins.

As you step into the Vaishno Devi Bhawan, chants and clashing cymbals will soothe your senses. Spend some time at the shrine and seek blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi who is worshipped in the form of three natural rock formations, known as pindies. The pindies belong to Maha Kali, Maha Lakshmi, and Maha Saraswati.

Later, head back to your hotel in Katra for night stay.

On day 3 you will be visiting Patnitop from Katra via road. It will take around 3 hours to reach the destination snuggled in the Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir. As the name suggests, Patnitop is a hill top tourist location seated at an elevation of 2,024 m (6,640 ft.) and is adorned with lush greenery. The Chenab River flows near Patnitop, which adds more charm to the destination.

Upon arrival, check-in to the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Guests can explore the panoramic and tranquil surroundings. Finish the day with a delectable dinner and relax for the night.

This is the last day of your spiritually enlightening Vaishno Devi tour with Patnitop. After having a wholesome breakfast, you will be escorted to the railway station/airport for the journey ahead.

Vaishno Devi Yatra By  Helicopter Ride:

You must reserve your helicopter trip at least two months before the date. The flight takes about 8 minutes and can hold five to six passengers simultaneously. The helipad at Katra is located on Udhampur road, is situated at about 2 km from the Katra Bus station.

After arriving at Sanjhichhat point, the journey takes nearly half an hour to get to Vaishno Devi Bhawan. You can pick horses, porters, or palkis services based on your preferences or choose to stroll to Vaishno Devi Bhawan. The temperature at the highest is 31 degrees Celsius, and the lowest temperature is 17° Celsius making it ideal for darshan. Arrival Jammu – Katra - Vaishno Devi Darshans (55 Km / Approx 02 Hours Drive)

Welcome to Jammu, the winter capital of Indian State Jammu and Kashmir. On Arrival, you will be greeted by representative/Driver and transferred to Katra, the base point of Vaishno Devi. Arrive at Katra and check into your hotel. After fresh-n-up and rest, proceed for Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan - one of the most popular pilgrimage of India situated in the lap of Trikuta mountains across Katra town, at an altitude of around 5200 feet.

Yatra involves a trek of nearly 14 Kms from base camp at Katra known as Ban Ganga. Alternate way to perform darshans is by battery operated cars, Ponies/Palkis/ Helicopter. If time permits, visit Ardhkuwari & Bhairo Temple, now you can go by ropeway from Vaishno Devi Bhavan to Bhairon temple.

After visiting the temples, return back to the hotel in Katra and relax for an overnight stay.

Katra to Pahalgam (270 km / Approx 07 Hours Drive)

After Breakfast, drive to Pahalgam. Located at 2133 mts, it is also known as ‘The valley of Shepherds’ or ‘Trekker's Paradise’. Pahalgam is the most famous place for Indian Film Industry. Arrive Pahalgam and transfer to the hotel.

Evening free for leisure. Dinner and Overnight stay in Pahalgam Hotel.

Pahalgam Sightseeing and Exploration

After breakfast, start the trip to Chandanwadi. Located on the way to Chandanwari, the valley was named Betaab after the Bollywood movie by the same name! Earlier known as Hajan Valley, after the release of the movie, it was renamed as a major part of the movie was shot here.

Post lunch (on your own) or as time permits, proceed for a trip to Aru Valley (on your own). Aru Valley is a tourist spot 11 km from Pahalgam noted for its scenic meadows and mountains. It is a base camp for trekking to the Kolahoi Glacier and Tarsar Lake. The village lies on the left bank of the Aru river, which is a tributary of the Lidder river.

Pahalgam to Srinagar Houseboat (100 Km / Approx. 3½ Hour Drive)

After buffet breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Srinagar. Enroute visit Saffron fields, Awantipur ruins (1100 yrs old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantiverma), see the beautiful countryside on the way and lots of rice fields. On arrival at Srinagar, transfer to the Houseboat. After check-in at the houseboat, you can relax for a while. Later in the evening, proceed for a Shikara ride in Dal Lake.

Srinagar City Sightseeing

After breakfast, check out from the houseboat and get transferred to the hotel. After check in, proceed to sightseeing tour of Srinagar. Visit Mughal Gardens, Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure), Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love), The Chasme Shahi Garden & Shankaracharya Temple. Evening is free for shopping.

Srinagar – Excursion to Sonmarg (90 Kms / Approx 03 Hours Drive- One Way)

After breakfast at the houseboat/hotel, leave for a day excursion to Sonmarg, which is the most beautiful drive from Srinagar. On the way, you can stop at many beautiful spots. Continue drive to Sonmarg, located at 2,690 Mtrs (Meadow of Gold). One can ride on a horse to visit Thajiwas Glacier(on Pony) where snow remains round the year.

In the evening, return to Srinagar for an overnight stay at the hotel.

Srinagar to Gulmarg (60 km / Approx 2-3 Hours Drive)

After breakfast in the morning, we will begin our country tour towards Gulmarg. The drive past colorful villages and rice fields, gives you an insight of the rich cultural past of Kashmir. Gulmarg is one of the most beautiful hill stations in this world and also called Meadow of Flowers. It has the world’s highest Golf course (World’s Highest) and is also famous for winter sports like skiing etc. You can enjoy a Gondola ride (Cable car, own cost) from Gulmarg to Khilanmarg.

The 08 minutes of ropeway will take you past colorful shepherd hutments to the lower ridge of the Apharwat Peak. From here, you can click lots of photos of the nearby mountain ranges that stand tall like sentinels guarding the rich natural beauty of Kashmir valley. We descend back to Gulmarg base after an hour.

By Train: The nearest railway station to Vaishno Devi is the Jammu Tawi Railway Station, located in Jammu city. From the railway station, you can take a taxi or board a bus to Katra, which is about 50 kilometers away. Jammu Tawi Railway Station is a major railhead and is well-connected to various cities across India.

By Road: Katra is well-connected by road to major cities in North India, including Jammu, Delhi, Chandigarh, and Amritsar. You can reach Katra by bus, taxi, or private vehicle. National Highway 44 (NH44) connects Jammu to Katra, and the journey takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours by road.

Trekking to Vaishno Devi Temple from Katra: Once you reach Katra, the base camp town, you can undertake a trek to the Vaishno Devi Temple, which is situated atop Trikuta Mountain. • At the cave, devotees have darshan of  Maa Vaishno Devi  in the form of three naturally formed rocks called  pindies .
• These pindies represent the three forms of the goddess:  Maha Kali, Maha Saraswati, and Maha Lakshmi 1 .

Vaishno Devi Yatra Registration Card (RFID Card)

• Compulsory for Yatra : Only RFID card holders are allowed to undertake the yatra.
• Obtaining RFID Cards : Available at Yatra Slip counters at Katra and Jammu
• Return and Fine : Pilgrims must return the RFID cards; failure to do so may result in fines.

Vaishno Devi Helicopter Booking

The  helicopter fare  for the  Vaishno Devi Yatra  in 2024 is as follows:

• One-way ticket  from  Katra to Sanjhichhat  or vice versa:  ₹2,100 per person .
• Two-way ticket  for  Katra to Sanjhichhat :  ₹4,200 per person .

Children below  2 years of age  can travel for free and must sit in the lap of an adult. There are no additional commission or processing fees apart from the ticket price. Any applicable taxes are charged at the respective location in Katra or Sanjichhat.

After buffet breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Srinagar. Enroute visit Saffron fields, Awantipur ruins (1100 yrs old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantiverma), see the beautiful countryside on the way and lots of rice fields. On arrival at Srinagar, transfer to the Houseboat. After check-in at the houseboat, you can relax for a while. Later in the evening, proceed for a shikara ride in Dal lake .

Srinagar – Excursion to Sonmarg (90 Kms / Approx 03 Hours Drive- One Way)

After breakfast at the houseboat/hotel, leave for a day excursion to Sonmarg, which is the most beautiful drive from Srinagar. On the way, you can stop at many beautiful spots. Continue drive to Sonmarg, located at 2,690 Mtrs (Meadow of Gold). One can ride on a horse to visit Thajiwas Glacier (on Pony) where snow remains round the year.

In the evening, return to Srinagar for an overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast in the morning, we will begin our country tour towards Gulmarg. The drive past colorful villages and rice fields, gives you an insight of the rich cultural past of Kashmir. It has the world’s highest golf course (World’s Highest) and is also famous for winter sports like skiing etc. You can enjoy a Gondola ride (Cable car, own cost) from Gulmarg to Khilanmarg.

The 08 minutes of ropeway will take you past colorful shepherd hutments to the lower ridge of the Apharwat Peak. From here, you can click lots of photos of the nearby mountain ranges that stand tall like sentinels guarding the rich natural beauty of Kashmir valley. We descend back to Gulmarg base after an hour.

Gulmarg to Srinagar Airport Drop (60 km / Approx 2-3 Hours Drive)
