"My favourite VOYA Treatment to perform and to receive is Tranquil Delight. It is a brilliant treatment to introduce new guests to VOYA and their product range. The treatment covers body, face and scalp, its covers all aspects of relaxation. I find the treatment more of a Spa Ritual than a body massage. The slow, flowing movements combined with the Mindful Dreams oil help to soothe and ground the guest and Therapist. I even feel relaxed after I have completed the treatment."

If you haven't been on a spa day before then it's an absolute must.

We recently visited Aqua Sana 's gorgeous spa in Woburn Forest, Bedfordshire, and honestly had such a bliss experience.

From their relaxing atmosphere, delicious food, and heated waterbeds to all their spa experiences which include massages, facials, inhalation rooms and a whole lot more.

Aqua Sana Woburn Forest review

Aqua Sana in Woburn Forest is located in Bedfordshire and just under an hour away from London King's Cross St Pancras station. As the spa is located in Woburn Forest you guessed it, it's part of Center Parcs.

The scenery is incredibly picturesque and peaceful. During your time at the spa you'll feel a million miles away from the city. Surrounded by trees, greenery and the outdoor activities in Center Parcs you're constantly reminded of your location - in the heart of a forest.

You're given fresh towels and robes on arrivals and are told not to take your phone into the spa as they want to encourage you to relax, unplug and unwind. Surprisingly it seemed that everyone completely adhered to the rules.

They have a big changing room with lockers, toilets, hairdryers, mirrors and a swimsuit dryer – we were very impressed.

The entire spa is fresh, clean and modern and all the staff are friendly and approachable. There's also staff members near every section of the spa who are able to advise you on what to do next.

And not only are the staff lovely but the other spa goers are too. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable which is perfect for anyone who finds getting in your swimsuit daunting.

You receive welcome drinks and are allowed pastry or fresh fruit alongside a drink – the perfect and healthy start to your day. For lunch they have a wide range of different meals. You can either sit inside the Vitalé cafe or eat your meal on the balcony and have a lovely view of the forest.

If you don't want to sweat too much or let your hair frizz up (we can relate, tbh) then the Blossom Spa is ideal. In this section a heat room, steam room and rain walk room are all available.

Fancy turning the heat up a little? The Herbal section is perfect; there's a sauna, inhalation bath and a relaxation lounge.

Dare to turn the temperature all the way up? Then the Fire and Ice spa is where you'll want to be. There's a stone sauna, lava volcano sauna that's very toasty and if you do need to cool down then head into the snow and ice room.

Not only are all those areas available but there's also a sensory experience which includes a crystal steam bath, the mineral and gemstone spa that has a thunder and rain walk shower and finally, the salt spa includes a salt inhalation room.

Also there's plenty of relaxation areas in and outside the spa, heated and cool waterbeds and an infinity pool with warm water.

There's plenty of treatments available too but the Brighten Glow Facial and Massage was incredible. I felt at ease, completely comfortable and at a total state of relaxation the entire time.

Following our visit to this Aqua Sana we would highly recommend it for any occasion; weekend away with your partner, a girls trip, relaxation for your hen do or if you want to treat your mum for her birthday or Mother's Day she'll love it. With over 25 different spa experiences available, you'll be sure to cater for everyone and you'll leave feeling renewed, refreshed, relaxed and revitalised.

Catching up over a cup of tea has long been a mother-child tradition, so why not combine this pastime with a love of spas and enjoy a lovely afternoon tea for two at our Vitalé Café Bar with access to our spa from 2pm-6pm for the perfect afternoon and a great way to catch up without distraction!

Spa Day for two - from £69pp

Whisk your mum away for the day, with access to the spa from 9am to 6pm, allowing you to relax, unwind and explore over 15 spa experiences together. You will both be given refreshments on arrival and a delicious lunch in our Vitalé Café Bar.

Spa Breaks - from £159pp

Escape to the forest for an overnight stay in one of Aqua Sana’s Executive Apartments in the heart of the forest. With over 15 different spa experiences to explore, breakfast, lunch and a £50 dining voucher to share, there isn’t a more perfect way to treat your mum (and yourself!). Or choose a Luxury Spa break (available at Elveden Forest and Woburn Forest) for an experience to remember.

Traditional Russian Bath

Our Russian bath treatment combines national traditions with a modern art of Spa-beauty and cosmetology. The Original Russian bath treatment begins with a sauna and a massage with oak or birch branches. The soothing in the sauna and dipping into the plunge pool allows you to relieve stress and discomfort. This treatment is followed by a full body peeling on a warm marble table and a honey mask. The procedure ends by indulging your skin with a relaxing soap massage. The therapist will ease your tired body and improve your skin balance.

To fully enhance and complete your health treatment you can relax in the Spa Lux, enjoying a hot herbal tea.

Moroccan Hamam

120 min.  — RUB 22 000

A remarkable experience, profoundly calming and stress-relieving restores lost energy after a flight or a long working day. It leaves you with a sense of absolute harmony. The treatment will let you experience a combination of Arabic and Asian Spa therapy elements in the luxurious environment of the Roman bath. This procedure starts with a moistening application of black soap with eucalyptus components, followed by a full body scrub with vanilla salt and an exotic mix of essential oils (ylang-ylang, sandal oil, lotus and orange flowers). Mineralization, moisture and careful skin nourishment are achieved by the Rassoul mud application. The program concludes with a relaxing massage with Shea butter oils in the comfortable treatment room.

Our uspcale VIP room is ideal for relaxed recreation. Equipped with private sauna and cold plunge pool, warm marble table for body treatments, TV and minibar it combines sophisticated design and comfort. Recommended for the group of not more than 4 people.
