Maroon 5 Expand World Tour With New North American Dates

Maroon 5 are extending their ongoing world tour with 13 additional stops at arenas across North America.

After some scattered dates in the Middle East, as well as California and Canada through May and June, the pop-rock band will officially kick off a North American tour July 30 at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. The new set of dates will stretch through Aug. 20 when Maroon 5 will wrap things up with a performance at Montreal’s Centre Bell Arena.

Tickets for the newly announced dates go on sale via Ticketmaster on Friday, April 29 at 10 a.m. local time.

The extensive tour is in support of Maroon 5’s seventh studio album Jordi , released last year. The LP features “Memories” and the Megan Thee Stallion-assisted “Beautiful Mistakes.” The trek also coincides with the 20th anniversary of the group’s debut album, Songs About Jane .

Maroon 5 Extends Vegas Residency as Adam Levine Calls Thriving Career and Family a 'Gift' (Exclusive)

"I don't know how you can have a better life," the frontman told PEOPLE. "I love it so much"

After a wildly successful Las Vegas residency run ,  Maroon 5  is doing it all over again, as they’ll begin another 16-show run at Park MGM on May 17, 2024. “I’m really look forward to doing it again and honestly could never have told you that before we started ,” lead singer Adam Levine candidly told PEOPLE exclusively, admitting he was initially “skeptical” of the residency. "I had no idea what to expect. Obviously I went into it with an open mind and a good attitude, but I was actually shocked at how much I enjoyed it.” During M5LV The Residency Levine got “really cozy and comfortable, probably more so than I ever had been,” he said. 

2023 turned out to be a banner year for Levine, 44. In addition to the residency run, he and his wife, model Behati Prinsloo , 35, welcomed their third child , a son, in January.  "I don't know how you can have a better life. I’m lucky enough to do what I love professionally, but also have the greatest personal life and family I could ever ask for,” he said, "and having kids and a wonderful wife, and just that life that I cling so much to. I love it so much.” Naturally, the family of five will be together for the holidays. Asked what he’s looking forward to most about Christmas, Levine said, “Just being with my family and loving on 'em, loving 'em all.”

The three-time Grammy winner went on to say that his family “means everything” to him. “It means more than my career,” he said. “But at the same time, having both is just a gift. And I think you don't appreciate s--- like that until you get a little older… As the years go on, I just get sappier and more sentimental about it. I love it so damn much.”

Make no mistake about it: Levine isn’t resting on his laurels either. In fact, Maroon 5 is working on new music while they prepare for another round of Vegas. However, he and the band are opting for quality, not quantity, when it comes to releasing songs.  “We're always working on music, but there's some stuff we're working on now that we're absolutely in love with,” he said. “At this point, we don't want to release anything until we're happy. I think it gets harder, too.” Levine jokingly continued, “I don't think there's anyone that's been able to write and produce good material for too long. Eventually everyone starts to suck. So I'm hoping that I can last a little bit longer before I start sucking.” The upcoming M5LV The Residency dates are: May 2024: 17, 18, 22, 25, 26, 29, 31 June 2024: 1 September 2024: 27, 28  October 2024: 2, 4, 5, 9, 11, 12

Maroon 5 canceled their show in Hartford, CT on Monday due to frontman Adam Levine's wife Behati Prinsloo's fast-approaching due date.

The 27-year-old model is on the final stretch of her pregnancy, due on Sept. 20.

Levine, 37, announced earlier this month that Maroon 5 would be rescheduling seven of their upcoming concert dates to prepare for the birth of his new baby. 

"Sadly, it's par for the course with having a baby soon," he said in a video on Instagram. "It's life, and it's beautiful, but it can be complicated, and I apologize for any convenience."

Prinsloo, in the meantime, has been celebrating the last few weeks of her pregnancy with some sexy baby bump snaps on Instagram.

Adam Levine cancels Maroon 5 concert due to throat problem

Adam levine revealed he had got a throat problem and was unable to perform on doctors orders..

Adam Levine was forced to cancel a Maroon 5 concert in Liverpool last night as his throat problem got escalated.

The 36-year-old singer revealed he had got a throat problem and was unable to perform on doctors orders, reported Daily Mirror.

“I am really sorry not to be able to perform tonight, but I have been told to rest up by the doctor. As a band we always want to give every performance our all and sadly I just cannot do that tonight,” he said in a statement.

A spokeswoman from the Arena confirmed to the Liverpool Echo there were already fans arriving at the arena for the long-awaited gig.

“We are sorry to announce that Maroon 5 have to cancel their show tonight in Liverpool at the Echo Area. Lead singer Adam Levine has been struck down with a throat problem and is unable to perform on doctors orders,” a statement read.

Furious Adam Levine swears in frustration after fan crashes stage to hug him during Maroon 5 concert

Adam Levine couldn’t hide his annoyance after a fan rushed onto the stage and hugged him, despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The incident happened during Maroon 5’s concert at the Hollywood Bowl on Saturday as the 42-year-old singer performed the group’s hit Sunday Morning.

In a TikTok video uploaded by Luis Penaloza, the singer was visibly taken aback when a woman – who was wearing a mask – jumped on the stage to hug him before being taken away by security.

‘This lady jumped on stage during Maroon 5’s performance,’ the user wrote. ‘Adam Levine was not having it.’

Adam appeared to shout the word ‘f**k’ in anger as he recoiled in disgust and attempted to shake off the encounter while walking to the other end of the stage.

The user captioned the video: ‘Adam Levine was a whole mood yesterday’.

Another video from YouTuber Barry King showcased the incident from a higher vantage point as bandmembers witnessed the stage invasion.

As the band kept playing, Adam skipped a few lines before getting back into the song.

The singer did not address the situation on social media afterward.

After some fans claimed the singer needed to be more humble in his reaction, another stated: ‘He doesn’t need to be humbled. a random person invaded his personal space during a pandemic… he acted the right way.’

Three-time GRAMMY Award-winning and diamond-selling Maroon 5 have revealed the details for the next leg of their 2022 World Tour dates, produced by Live Nation.

Kicking off Saturday, July 30 at Moda Center in Portland, OR, these select dates will hit cities throughout Canada and North America, and conclude on Saturday, August 20 at Centre Bell in Montreal, Quebec.

A special Maroon 5 fan club pre-sale launches at 10am local time on April 26, while Spotify and LiveNation presales commence on April 27 at 10am local time followed by local presales on April 28 at 10 am local time. Tickets for the newly added shows go on sale to the public this Friday, April 29 at 10am local time.

In other Maroon 5 news this week, frontman Adam Levine returns to Ellen as a guest on April 26th.

Next week, Maroon 5 will touch down in Egypt for a monumental show at the Pyramids of Giza on May 3. A few days later on May 6, they headline Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabu, United Arab Emirates. To close out their Middle Eastern run, Maroon 5 jet over to Tel Aviv for two massive shows at Hayarkon Park. Their initial show on May 9 quickly sold out 60,000 tickets, and a second one on May 10 has been added.

2022 notably marks the 20th anniversary of Maroon 5’s formation and their classic quadruple-platinum debut, Songs About Jane , which initially arrived on June 25, 2002 and has since sold over 20 million records. During 2021, Maroon 5 made their triumphant return to the road in the U.S., performing 30 dates in front of over 450,000 fans over the summer.

Now, they’re continuing their 2022 World Tour. To date, the universally renowned Los Angeles band have achieved three GRAMMY Awards, over 80 million in album sales, 450 million singles worldwide and earned gold and platinum certifications in more than 35 countries.

Adam Levine was forced to cancel a Maroon 5 concert in Liverpool last night, revealing: "My chords are toast".

The singer revealed he had got a throat problem yesterday and was unable to perform on doctors orders.

“I am really sorry not to be able to perform tonight, but I have been told to rest up by the doctor,” he said in a statement.

“As a band we always want to give every performance our all and sadly I just cannot do that tonight."

He later tweeted: "Guys, I HATE having to let you down tonight. My chords are toast. We resume Sunday in Birmingham. Apologies. :(."

A spokeswoman from the Arena confirmed to the Liverpool Echo there were already fans arriving at the arena for the long-awaited gig.

A statement from the arena said: “We are sorry to announce that Maroon 5 have to cancel their show tonight in Liverpool at the Echo Area. Lead singer Adam Levine has been struck down with a throat problem and is unable to perform on doctors orders.”

However there's good news for Birmingham fans, because the star reckons he's on the mend and has promised to be back on stage tomorrow night.

He later tweeted: "Feeling Better today. Saw The Doc. Resuming tour in Birmingham tomorrow! We’re Baaaack!"

Maroon 5 new album

Most recently, Maroon 5 released the 12-track record “Jordi” in 2021. The album debuted at number eight on the Billboard 200 andand features collaborations with impressive stars like Megan Thee Stallion, Stevie Nicks, JUICEWRLD, H.E.R., Jason Derulo and many more.

“Jordi” is named after Jordan Feldstein, the group’s manager and Levine’s childhood friend, who passed away in 2017 at 40.

Levine's Vegas residency, titled  Maroon 5: The Las Vegas Residency,  began in March 2023 and is currently set to end in October 2024.

Following the explosive reception of their residency's original run, Maroon 5 has extended their Sin City tenure to accommodate a 16-show run beginning May 17, 2024. Tickets can be purchased on  Ticketmaster .

The maroon 5 singer explains why he appeared to curse and recoil from the woman after some fans on tiktok criticized his reaction, by ree hines | today • published october 28, 2021.

It happened in a flash during a Maroon 5 performance over the weekend — frontman Adam Levine was belting out the band’s 2004 hit “Sunday Morning” when an overly eager fan suddenly rushed the stage and grabbed him mid-note.

A  now-viral TikTok clip  of the incident, which took place at Saturday’s We Can Survive concert at the Hollywood Bowl, shows that security quickly grabbed the woman and pulled her away from Levine, who could be seen cursing, shuddering and shaking off the uninvited experience before getting back into the groove.

In the comments that follow that video, some people seemed offended by the former “Voice” coach’s visceral reaction, suggesting he should “humble himself” and “remember the money in your pocket is from those fans.” Levine responded to those critics in clips he shared to his  Instagram stories  Tuesday.

“So I just wanted to address the Hollywood Bowl incident thing — a fan coming up to me onstage,” he said. “I have always been someone who loves, respects, worships our fans. Without our fans, we don’t a job. I say that all the time to our fans.”

He went on to explain that he found the way some people characterized his reaction at the show, which was referred to as “demeaning,” “arrogant” and “humiliating” by various commenters, hurtful.

“To think that anyone would believe that I thought that our fans were beneath us, or less than us, makes my stomach turn,” he continued. “That's just not who I am. That's not who I've ever been.”

"I just need you guys to know I was really startled, and sometimes when you're startled, you have to shake it off and move on,” he noted. “Because I'm doing my job up there, and it's what I pride myself on. So I need to let you guys know what my heart is, and my heart is that connection that exists between the band performing onstage and the fans."

He closed by adding, “I hope we can all understand that," before blowing a kiss to the camera.

While Levine addressed his critics, many of his fans in the 45,000+ comments on that TikTok clip firmly had his back.

“He doesn’t even have to be humbled... a random person invaded his personal space during a pandemic,” one wrote. “He acted the right way.”

“DONT TOUCH PEOPLE WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT. Period,” another added.

And yet another insisted that “no one would want a stranger to run up to them and touch them."

Why Did Adam Levine Leave ‘The Voice’? Inside His Reason for Exiting as He Announces Season 27 Return

One of the original coaches of The Voice is making a comeback! NBC confirmed on June 5, 2024, that Adam Levine will be returning to the show for season 27 in 2025. The Maroon 5 frontman’s exit from the singing competition show in 2019 was quite controversial, as he had already signed on to coach another season when he announced his decision to leave.

When Is Adam Levine Returning to ‘The Voice’?

Adam will return to The Voice for season 27 alongside new coach Kelsea Ballerini and returnees John Legend and Michael Bublé . A premiere date for season 27 has not been confirmed, but it will likely air during the first half of 2025.

“Yeah, we’re back. We’re coming back. I’m coming back, is what I mean,” Adam said in a June 5, 2024, Instagram video. “Season 27, yes I’m coming back. I’m so excited. I cannot wait. I’m well rested. I’m ready to go. I’m a little nervous. I’m not nervous. But I’m so excited. It’s going to be great. I can’t wait. It’s gonna be awesome. Let’s go. Team Adam is back. I feel bad for other teams. Let’s go. Season 27 is going to be different. Yeah, I’m back. I’m really excited, everybody. Voice fam, here we come. Let’s go.”

Before Adam’s comeback, The Voice will return for season 26 in the fall of 2024 with Reba McEntire, Gwen Stefani , Michael and Snoop Dogg as coaches.

When Did Adam Levine Leave ‘The Voice’?

Adam previously left The Voice after season 16, which aired during the spring of 2019. Although Adam was already confirmed as a coach on season 17, host Carson Daly revealed on the May 24, 2019, episode of the Today show that Gwen would be replacing him for the upcoming season. The announcement came one day after the season 16 finale.

After the news broke, Adam wrote a lengthy statement on Instagram about his exit. “After the first day of shooting, I sat there, stunned. I said to myself “theres [sic] some magic here. Something is definitely happening.” It went on to be a life shaping experience that will be close to my heart forever,” the singer gushed. “Thank you NBC for signing me up. I am truly honored to have been a part of something I’ll always cherish for the rest of my life.”

He went on to thank “every single coach” he worked with on the show, as well as Carson and other people from the crew. The statement continued, “To the amazingly talented vocalists who competed on the show and make this machine hum. And, Blake F--KIN’ SHELTON. I couldn’t hide my love for you if I tried. Seriously. I tried. Can’t do it. Our friendship is and always will be one for the books. Whatever this whole surreal experience is, I’m just happy I got to experience it with you.”

His message concluded with a note to the fans. “There’s literally no show without you guys,” Adam said. “For me, it was time to move on. Your support has meant EVERYTHING.”

Why Did Adam Levine Leave ‘The Voice’?

In the seasons leading up to Adam’s exit , he failed to have success with his team members. He had no artists in the finals during seasons 14, 15 and 16.

A controversial decision during season 15 also led to Adam facing major backlash from fans. During that season’s top 10 episode, Adam had two artists – Reagan Strange and DeAndre Nico – left in the competition. However, they were both in the bottom three and in danger of elimination after their performances. The bottom three artists all had a chance to sing one last time for the instant save.

Reagan was sick that week and couldn’t perform her instant save song, but viewers were still able to vote for her if they wanted her to move on in the competition. Adam urged fans to vote for Reagan and give her another chance, which many viewers took as a slight to Nico, who Adam didn’t advocate as hard for, even though he performed during the instant save.

While Adam did not address the backlash, it was reported by TVLine in May 2019 that he was becoming increasingly difficult to work with. The site referenced an alleged incident that took place while the cast was pre-taping the season 16 semifinals, which Adam reportedly didn’t want to attend because he had no artists left.

An eyewitness told TVLine that the dad of three was “difficult” during the taping. The site noted that Adam’s alleged attitude “might have stemmed” from a rule change in the competition that season, which is what allowed so many of his team members to be eliminated at once. He also reportedly appeared unenthusiastic while performing with his fellow coaches at the NBC Upfront the following day.

“Adam had been checked out for a while,” a source told TVLine . “But this was a new low. It was essentially the straw that broke the camel’s back.”

Adam finally opened up about his decision to leave The Voice while appearing on Howard Stern’s radio show in October 2019. “I was ready to not be doing it anymore, I think for a little bit,” he admitted. “I think that when it all kind of naturally happened, I was like, ‘OK, it feels right.’ For better or worse, the moment in which we decided to walk away felt really good. It was the right time for me to go.”

He called The Voice a “life-altering experience” for him, but said he was ready to step away for his family. “It got to the point where I got married, I had two kids, and I wanted to spend time with them,” Adam explained. “They were really little.” The rocker married Behati Prinsloo in 2014 and they now have three children together.

Later that month, Adam appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and added, “I do miss it, but I also don’t miss how much I had to work. I was just constantly working for many years. Very lucky, very fortunate, very blessed and all that, but just to be able to stop in this moment to spend time with my new young family and just have the greatest time ever [was important].”

Adam Levine’s Guest Returns to ‘The Voice’

Adam returned to The Voice during the season 20 finale in May 2021. He performed with his band, Maroon 5, and sang their song “Beautiful Mistakes.” He also made an appearance on the season 23 finale in May 2023 to help say goodbye to Blake Shelton as the country star concluded his final season of the show. During the season 25 finale in May 2024, Adam also briefly appeared to honor the show’s 25-season milestone.

However, he previously said he had no plans to return to the series as a coach. During an Instagram Q&A in 2020, a fan asked, “Come back to The Voice?” and Adam replied, “No thank you?”

How Many Times Did Adam Levine Win ‘The Voice’?

Although Adam didn’t have a great run during his last few seasons as a coach, he did see some success with his artists on the show over the years. He won the show three times during his 16-season run.

Adam won the very first season of the show in 2011 with artist Javier Colon . He then secured a victory in season 5 with Tessanne Chin and season 9 with Jordan Smith .

The Maroon 5 frontman had to unfortunately cancel their concert tonight at the Echo Arena due to throat problems. Levine took to Twitter to apologize to U.K. fans, writing , "Guys, I HATE having to let you down tonight. My cords [sic] are toast. We resume Sunday in Birmingham. Apologies. :("

He also previously released a statement explaining, "I am really sorry not to be able to perform tonight, but I have been told to rest up by the doctor. As a band we always want to give every performance our all and sadly I just cannot do that tonight."

The Echo Arena Liverpool also issued a statement to explain what ticket-holders can do in order to get a refund for their purchase. The venue advised people to return to their point of purchase in order to arrange a refund.

Echo Arena and TicketQuarter customers will be refunded via their credit card over the next few days, while customers who paid in cash will be able to receive a refund in person from TicketQuarter in Queen Square on Monday.

Maroon 5 recently wrapped a sold out 30-city North American arena tour in April, and just kicked off the European leg of their world tour in Paris on May 24 at Zenith Paris.

Levine is keeping the rock star inside of him alive during this down time, though. His wife Behati Prinsloo (who recently changed her name to Behati Prinsloo Levine on Instagram, and seems to be accompanying her love on the tour) posted a photo of her hubby on IG today, showing the celeb rocking a KISS -inspired wig—and flaunting some chest—while pretending to sing his heart out.

"Feelin this.....," she wrote. Yeah, us, too.

Maroon 5 Adam Levine Cancels Tour In South Korea; Posts Neckbrace Selfie On Instagram

Maroon 5's Adam Levine had to cancel two tour stops in South Korea because of a neck injury. "The Voice" coach apologized to the disappointing fans for cancelling two hours just before the show.

"Hey guys. Sorry we had to reschedule," Levine captioned a photo a selfie photo showing his neckbrace on Instagram .

"I posted this photo of sad neck brace Adam purely for your sympathy. See you Thursday."

Local concert organizer Live Nation Korea also assured fans that the concert slated on Thursday will push through. 

"The artists and staff tried very hard to prepare for [the concert this past Saturday] until the day before on Friday, but it seemed problematic to proceed with the show given vocalist Adam Levine's neck muscle issues," a representative from the organizer told Billboard .

"We are very sorry to postpone tonight's show in Daegu until THURSDAY 10 SEPTEMBER. All tickets will be honored."

Maroon 5 was only set to perform in one concert in Daegu and one in Seoul. The group, however, decided to add a second performance in the capital city. It was said that tickets for the shows were sold out in the first five minutes when advance online sales began.

"Maroon 5 has always had a strong fan base in Korea, and the film 'Begin Again,' starring Levine in a lead role was hugely successful, with local box-office sales surpassing those in the U.S. and breaking several domestic records," said The Hollywood Reporter .

This is not the first time that Maroon 5 had to cancel or postpone the shows. The band also had to cancel some Chinese tour dates this summer because of a controversial tweet regarding Dalai Lama.

"Happy Birthday America (and The Dalai Lama too) sang happy birthday to his holiness today," keyboard player Jesse Carmichael tweeted .

Oasis, Bjork, James Blake and Linkin Park were also some of the musicians who had to pull out of shows in China for political reasons.
