Taylor Swift Eras Tour Reputation Era via Taylor Swift Productions and Silent House Productions

The Eras Tour Was Taylor Swift’s Biggest Outing Yet, But It Was Far From Her First

Image of Lauren Coates

City by city, song by song, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has quickly become of the highest-grossing (and buzziest) tours in music history. Spanning the entire length of Swift’s discography, Taylor honors each of her previous musical/aesthetic “eras” with a dedicated section on her setlist, allowing fans to relive the feeling of each album, if only for a moment.

But while the Eras Tour brings each album together on one mega-tour, it’s hardly the first time Taylor has been around, or even the first time she’s embarked on a stadium tour. From humble beginnings to sold-out shows across the globe, here’s a breakdown of all of Taylor Swift’s tours, in chronological order.

Fearless Tour

As most Swifties know, Taylor’s first album was a self-titled country pop record with singles like “Teardrops on My Guitar,” “Our Song,” and “Tim McGraw.” Taylor did tour during the release of Taylor Swift, but not as a headliner—she supported her first album by performing as an opening act for larger artists at the time like Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Faith Hill, and Keith Urban.

But while Taylor Swift was her first album, it wasn’t her first tour—that honor belongs to the Fearless Tour, which kicked off in April 2009 and ran through July 2010. The tour played a total of 105 shows (mostly across North America) including limited stops in Asia, Europe, and Australia. Kellie Pickler joined Taylor as an opening act, with artists like then-boyfriend John Mayer, Katy Perry, and Faith Hill appearing at certain performances as surprise guests. Though the tour didn’t get a concert film, Taylor Swift: Journey to Fearless was released as a 3-episode docuseries, documenting the behind-the-scenes of the tour.

Speak Now World Tour

Taylor’s first proper world tour, the Speak Now World Tour , began in February 2011 and featured a total of 111 performances, including seven in Asia and 12 in Europe. In addition to being her first world tour, Speak Now was also Taylor’s first stadium tour and featured more extensive set pieces, choreography, and costuming than the Fearless tour. Speak Now ‘s openers included NeedToBreathe, Hunter Hayes, and Hot Chelle Rae, and it was the first Taylor tour attended by yours truly. A concert film, Taylor Swift: Speak Now World Tour Live , was recorded to accompany the tour.

The Red Tour

Two years later, Taylor was back on the road with the Red Tour, which kicked off in March of 2013 and ran through June of 2014, with a total of 86 performances across the globe. In addition to continuing to bump up the tour’s production value through costuming, choreography, and set design, the Red tour also featured the introduction of surprise songs, which changed night-to-night. Certain Red tour dates also featured Taylor bringing out a surprise guest and singing one of their songs as a duet. Highlights of Red tour guests included Taylor singing “Jenny From the Block” with Jennifer Lopez, “You’re So Vain” with Carly Simon, and “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark” with Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump.

Unlike previous installments, there was no concert film version of the Red tour.

The 1989 World Tour

Following Red was the 1989 World Tour, beginning in May 2015 and ending December of the same year for a total of 85 shows. The 1989 World Tour featured the return of the Surprise Songs mechanic, and hosted Vance Joy, Shawn Mendes, Rae Morris, and Haim as opening acts. Haim would also go on to return as an opening act for the Eras Tour, as well as guest star in the Bejeweled music video and feature on an evermore track.

One of the tour stops in Sydney was recorded for a concert film version of the tour called The 1989 World Tour Live —prior to the Eras Tour, that Sydney performance held the record for Swift’s most-attended performance, with 75,980 Swifties in attendance.

Reputation Stadium Tour

Though Taylor had previously performed at plenty of stadiums on tour, the Reputation Stadium Tour was Swift’s first all-stadium tour, playing May through November of 2018 for a total of 53 shows—her shortest tour to date. Openers for reputation included Camila Cabello, Charli XCX, and Broods, some of whom would join Taylor during the set for “Shake it Off.” As with her previous tours, reputation featured surprise songs at each show and a number of surprise guests at certain performances, this time including Troye Sivan, Selena Gomez, and Niall Horan.

A performance in Arlington was recorded for a concert film called Taylor Swift: Reputation Stadium Tour , which was released by (but recently taken off of) Netflix. Fans speculate that reputation leaving Netflix could be related to the fact that Taylor has yet to re-record her masters for reputation .

A sixth tour, Lover Fest, was originally scheduled for April through August of 2020, but was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tour would’ve featured Swift’s then-first performance in Brazil, and would also have been the first time Swift’s tour dates included stops at previously organized festivals. Because there was no tour, there’s no Lover concert film, but Swift did release City of Lover , a recording of a one-off concert in Paris, as a tv special in May of 2020.

The Eras Tour

Last but certainly not least is, of course, The Eras Tour , which is currently ongoing and kicked off in March of 2023. We’ve previously done a full breakdown of the Eras setlist, which features glimpses into all of Swift’s previous albums, but focuses most heavily on those she was unable to tour because of COVID— Lover, folklore, evermore, and Midnights. A concert film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour , was released in theaters and is currently available to rent on streaming.

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Has Already Made History 13 Times

And she’s not even halfway done yet.

Taylor Swift Broke These Records With The Eras Tour

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is reaching its halfway point, nearly a year after she kicked off her global trek in March 2023. And it’s already made the history books. The singer started breaking records on opening night — literally — and has reached new heights at nearly every stop along the way.

Few world tours have had the same impact as Swift’s. It has been a huge boost for the global economy, with the U.S. Travel Association estimating that the tour has generated more than $5 billion for local economies.

Its success was also a huge factor in making Swift a self-made billionaire . Given that it’s not even over yet, there’s no telling how much more money it could generate.

Here are all of the records that Swift has broken with the Eras Tour... so far.

The First Billion-Dollar Tour

Taylor Swift on The Eras Tour

The Eras Tour became the highest-grossing tour of all time before it was even halfway finished. While Swift’s team doesn’t plan to report box office numbers as many artists do, Pollstar estimated she grossed over a billion dollars, making her the first artist ever to hit that milestone in a single tour.

Guinness World Records made it official in December after Swift concluded the 2023 leg. Since she’s playing shows through 2024, Variety estimates that the number could rise to an astounding $2 billion by the tour’s end.

Swift takes the record from Elton John, whose Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour became the biggest tour to date in January 2023. His years-long trek ended in July 2023, and made $939 million over 328 shows. To put Swift’s achievement in context, she broke the record after performing 66 shows out of a planned 152 shows.

Her Concert Movie Broke 2 Records

Taylor Swift at Eras Tour movie premiere

The Eras Tour domination didn’t end with concert ticket sales — it translated to the movie theater box office. After concluding the first North American leg in August, Swift announced that her Eras Tour concert movie would premiere in theaters that October. The film earned $37 million in presales on its first day alone and broke AMC’s single-day advance ticket sales record before it even came out.

It didn’t take long for Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour to be crowned the highest-grossing concert film of all time, with AMC reporting a week before the film premiered that it had already reached $100 million in advance sales . This was enough to beat the previous record-holder, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never .

An Unprecedented Golden Globe Nomination

Taylor Swift attends 2024 Golden Globes

At the 2024 Golden Globes, Swift’s Eras Tour movie was nominated for Best Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, making it the first concert film to ever be nominated for a Golden Globe . Sure, it got the nod in a brand new category that was practically tailor-made for a movie like Swift’s.

The Eras Tour film was up against other successful box office movies, like Barbie , Oppenheimer , and The Super Mario Bros. Movie, but it eventually lost out to Barbie .

The Biggest Concert For A Female Artist

Taylor Swift performs during The Eras Tour

When Swift performed her first Eras Tour show in Glendale, Ariz., on March 17, 2023, she broke the record for highest attended concert by a female artist in the U.S., with over 69,000 tickets sold . Naturally, she’s went on to break her own record multiple times over the course of the U.S. leg.

She Shattered 8 Venue Attendance Records

Taylor Swift performs during The Eras Tour

Swift has broken attendance records at multiple stadiums worldwide, another sign of the tour’s demand. In the U.S., she achieved the biggest single-day attendance at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium with 71,000 people, Pittsburgh’s Acrisure Stadium with 73,117 fans, and Seattle’s Lumen Field with 72,171 attendees.

Even more impressively, Swift was able to set three-day attendance records at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, with 210,607 people, and New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium with 217,635 fans.

So far, she’s faring just as well overseas, setting both one-day and three-day attendance records at Sao Paolo’s Allianz Parque, and breaking the three-day record at Melbourne’s Cricket Ground with 288,000 fans, which were the largest shows of her entire career .

The show was absolutely amazing! Definitely worth every cent. I have been obsessed with Taylor ever since 2010, and this was only my 2nd show, and I was SO CLOSE! It was so admirable that the show went on, even though there was a THUNDER STORM. I loved the fact that she really appreciates us as much as we appreciate her, and I hope she knows that I will be there for her no matter what. There was a REALLY tall person, almost like a basketball player in front of me, which was a bit disappointing because I'm so short, but for some reason, he got replaced just before the show started, and I was so glad #sorrynotsorry I'm pretty sure the security did that. ANZ Stadium you did amazing, sweetie! Love you Taylor, and can't wait to see what you do next! <3 <3

This concert was AMAZING!!!! Okay, so even though we got rained on and were soaking wet and cold by the concert's half-way point- that aside... I had so so so much fun. Taylor is one of my idols and role models and it was so great to see her live. She is such a performer and not only was the music and atmosphere so contagiously happy, but the actual show and set design and technology that made it all happen was also amazing. From the lights, to the LED screens, to the blow up snakes, it was definitely the highlight of my week, and I would OF COURSE either go see her again or recommend it to my friends and family. Thank you Taylor and crew for an unforgettable night!!!!!!!

reputation Stadium tour Seattle, 9/10. It all started when Charli XCX started singing. She was pretty good. But she probably shouted “SEATTLE!” 10 times. But the reason why I gave the whole thing a 9/10 was because Camila was not there. She had dehydration. And Taylor didn’t make up for it. Then it was TAY TAY! She came on stage with a “bad girl effect.” Singing Ready for it, I did something bad, and Gorgeous. Then it was a mashup of Style, Love Story, and You Belong With me. Then she sang look what you made me do. A HUMONGOUS SNAKE. Came out. It was so cool! Then with a gold jacket/background came End Game and King Of My Heart. Then she flew to the B-Stage while singing delicate. When she got to the B-Stage, we were SOOO close!!! She sang Shake it off with Charli. And then she got a guitar. And I freaked out. She sang Dancing with our hands tied and the mystery song. The mystery song ended up being “Holy Ground”. Then she went to the OTHER B-Stage and sang Dress and Blank Space. Then she flew on a snake cage to the main stage while singing bad blood. Then she sang SHOULDVE SAID NO. FROM 2006! I was freaking out. Then she came out and showed everyone her vocal range with Don’t Blame Me. Then she went to the piano and sang Long Live and New Years Day together. Then came purple jacketed GetaWay Car. Then there was a fountain and a mansion background and she sang Call It What You Want. Then came the last song. We are never ever getting back together/This is why we can’t have nice things. She got soaking wet in the fountain. And there were FIREWORKS!!!! It was truly amazing. Recommend it so much.

The Eras Tour cast: Meet Taylor Swift's dancers, singers and band members

all tours of taylor swift

Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour has been out for a week on Disney+ , and there's no doubt some dedicated fans have watched it 13+ times. The three-and-a-half-hour phenomenon is a bedazzled force that moves through 49 songs from Swift's 10 eras. The movie was shot over three nights in Los Angeles and included helicopter, drone and onstage camera angles. By now everyone knows the ringleader of The Eras Tour, but what about the cast and crew who shine alongside her?

Here's a look at Swift's six bandmates, four backup vocalists and 15 dancers featured in the film with the time stamps for when they appear on screen.

'Strike the band up, 1... 2... 3...'

The Eras Tour band is led by Mike Meadows and Max Bernstein. Meadows has been with Swift for more than 15 years, starting on her "Fearless" tour. The guitarist also sings and plays keyboards, cello, harmonica and mandolin. In a cute TikTok, his wife shared a compilation video from Nissan Stadium about how proud she is . Swift places her arm on Meadows during "Love Story" at 33:12.

Max Bernstein rocks out on the guitar, keyboards and pedal steel, which is a steel guitar with pedals and knee levers. He shared a post on Instagram with the caption , "So incredibly grateful to be a little part of the biggest and best show." He joined Swift for the "Reputation Stadium Tour" in 2018. His parents are journalists Nora Ephron and Carl Bernstein, and his brother Jacob is a reporter for The New York Times. Bernstein is to the right of Swift and her "Fearless" heart hands at 26:12.

Paul Sidoti may be the most well known band member. His distinct rocker hair is almost as big as his stage presence. Sidoti has been a vocalist and guitarist with the singer since 2007. He is approachable on the tour and has taken photos with fans in the audience. Sidoti's website also says he's available for "online guitar, bass, and piano lessons via Zoom." Swift touches Sidoti's face during "You Belong With Me" while singing "you've got a smile that can light up this whole town" at 28:15.

Amos Heller is the bassist. Like many of Swift's bandmates, the husband and father of three has been with her since 2007. Heller picked up his first electric bass at 13. His cover of Metallica's "Blackened" shows he's a master thrasher. Swift struts with Heller during "You Belong With Me" at 27:58.

Ooomph! Matthew Billingslea is the drummer crashing the cymbals, beating the toms and pedaling the bass. In 2023, he was nominated for pop drummer of the year at the Drumeo Awards. Billingslea joined Swift's band in 2013 for the Red Tour. Billingslea pops up during "Fearless" at 25:38.

Rounding out the bandmates is Karina DePiano . The classically trained pianist gets a shoutout from the singer following Swift's performance of "Champagne Problems." DePiano performs an interlude at 50:35 while Swift sets a table before singing "Tolerate It." DePiano started 2024 with a Pianote nomination for pop pianist of the year .

'We sing it proudly'

The fearless ladies who make up Swift's choir are "The Starlights."

Up first is Melanie Nyema , the section leader. The vocal virtuoso has backed many artists including Gladys Knight, Sara Bareilles, Solange Knowles, Florence + The Machine and Imagine Dragons. She's been with Swift since 2012 when she performed "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" at the VMAs. Check out her spiritual version of "Gotta Have You." Nyema is left of Swift at 30:33 when she hugs "The Starlights."

Kamilah Marshall is the vocalist dance captain. Marshall came into the fold during the Red Tour. Her song "Canyon" showcases her writing and singing in an outpouring of gratitude. The Broadway actress has credits including "Hairspray" and "Lion King." In 2021, she told the Academic Magnet High School newspaper in South Carolina, "I know I’m supposed to be doing what I do.” You can also see her in the dinner scene of " All Too Well: The Short Film ." Marshall is the "cheer captain" on the left at 28:52 during the "Fearless" era.

Jeslyn Gorman joined Swift during her Red Tour. The vocal riffer has a song, "Falling Like Snow," and has toured with stars Meghan Trainor, Jason Derulo, Rita Ora and Nick Jonas. The Florida native and latte enthusiast moved to Los Angeles. Gorman, like the other "Starlights," thanked Swift on her birthday, "Your heart and generosity is beyond BEYOND. And just when I think you’ve DONE IT, you TOP THAT!" Gorman shimmies at 32:40.

Eliotte Woodford wears the purple "Speak Now" dress and bangs the side of her vitrine during the "Look What You Made Me Do" portion of the Eras Tour at 1:07:38. Woodford has been with Swift since 2013. The wife and mother graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, where she was a part of the a cappella group the "Mosaic Whispers." Her singing and dancing reel shows her early work with Swift .

'I don't wanna dance if I'm not dancing with you'

Fifteen dancers led by choreographer Mandy Moore and associate choreographers Amanda Balen and Jeremy Hudson create some of the most iconic moments during the 10 eras. Moore met Swift through mutual friend Emma Stone who worked with Moore on "La La Land." Her credits are extensive. Most recently, she put together the exemplary Ryan Gosling performance of "I'm Just Ken" at the Oscars.

Amanda Balen is the dance captain. The blond beauty hails from Ontario, Canada. She is famous among the Lady Gaga fandom for dancing in several of the star's music videos and being a part of the Roseland Ballroom residency in New York City in 2014. Balen has worked with Katy Perry and Pink. You can find her at 14:18 during "The Man" to the left of Swift.

Tori Evans lights up the stage. In her decade-plus career, the University of Arizona alumnus has been featured in Ricky Martin music video "Qué Rico Fuera" , swam in synchro-formation next to Beyoncé and strutted on "The Masked Singer ." Evans' resume also includes dancing for Cardi B, Mary J Blige, Jason Derulo and Maroon 5. Her dance teacher of 15 years, Lana Wright, told Morgan Hill Life , "Tori was always that ray of sunshine... I always knew Tori could accomplish her goals, if she really wanted it." You can catch Evans during "Blank Space." She hands Swift a glow-up club at 2:13:45.

Audrey Douglass has danced with the devil, in addition to many other television credits. The performer has boogied and waltzed on Netflix's "Lucifer," Apple TV+'s "The Morning Show," FX's "American Horror Story: 1984," Paramount+'s "1923" and "Dancing with the Stars." Douglass serves up sass as "Shay" in Dua Lipa's "Physical" work out video . Dancing runs in the family, because Douglass' older sister, Hannah, was one of the co-captain dancers on Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour . As the "Lover" house burns down, you can see Douglass to the left of Swift at 2:22:52.

Jan Ravnik (pronounced "yawn") is the smooth dancer who caught the eye of social media with his abs-olutely distracting "Lavender Haze" ladder dance . The Slovenian dancer has worked with Paula Abdul, Mariah Carey, Bruno Mars, Khalid and Luis Fonsi. Ravnik was awarded the "Best Dancer in Slovenia" and credited as the "Best Trainer/Choreographer" by the Slovenian Olympic committee. When he's not grooving on the international stage, he goes for long distance bike rides and takes artsy photos. You can see what's got the internet's attention at 2:36:46.

Taylor Banks strikes like a viper at 55:48, during "...Ready For It?" Banks was born in New Orleans, grew up in Pennsylvania and moved to Los Angeles to shine. The dancer has been moving to the beat since she was 3 and been featured with artists including Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, Cher, Ciara, Chris Brown, Jessie J, The Jacksons, Jason Derulo, Dua Lipa, Billie Eillish and Beyoncé. The fitness model has repped brands like Nike, Reebok, Skechers and Under Armour.

Sydney Moss was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. The spunky and fun dancer moved to Los Angeles after high school and has worked with Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Doja Cat, Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez. Moss has a beautiful rendition of "You're Losing Me" with fellow dancer Jan Ravnik. She dresses Swift in her bejeweled blazer during "The Man" at 9:03.

Natalie Lecznar is a former Radio City Rockette. The Chapman University graduate married her college sweetheart. She was on Season 5 of "So You Think You Can Dance." The vibrant dancer is easy to spot with her fire-red locks. She is known for her performance in the "Folklore" era when she becomes Rebekah Harkness during the "Last Great American Dynasty" at 1:51:41.

Whyley Yoshimura , why don't you come on over and shake, shake, shake? The dancer notably flips his long hair, still smooth despite the humidity, during "Shake It Off" at 2:17:40. Yoshimura is a native Hawaiian who went to the Kamehameha Schools on Oahu. He started dancing for Janet Jackson at 18 and went on to be her assistant choreographer for the "Unbreakable Tour." He is an LGBTQI+ advocate for the Rainbow Railroad .

Raphael Thomas is the "Tolerate It" star at 54:02. The Jamaican's nickname is "The Sandman." He toured with Mary J. Blige on the "Good Morning Gorgeous" tour , was featured in Rihanna's "Savage X Fenty Show" on Amazon Prime, danced for Janet Jackson in the 85 West Music Festival and lit up the stage with Beyonce during her "Homecoming" performance at Coachella.

Kevin Scheitzbach polishes up real nice! The "Bejeweled" dancer gets a breakout moment at 2:47:13 strutting some of his best moves. Scheitzbach specializes in jazz funk and street styles of dance. He runs FlowXS , a choreography company, with his equally charismatic and talented brother Michael. The two grew up in Toronto, Canada.

Kameron Saunders is the only dancer with a speaking line that he switches up nightly at the Eras Tour during "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" at 1:26:33. The ebullient dancer also shines during a "Bejeweled" dance solo at 2:48:10. The Missourian was honored in Kansas City when the council dubbed Jan. 25 Kameron Saunders Day of Dance. You can catch him and his fast-footed moves in the ensemble of "The Color Purple" and "Spirited." Saunders' brother Khalen is a defensive tackle for the New Orleans Saints.

Natalie Peterson is a professional dancer, fitness instructor, dance educator and Amazon influencer . The Chapman University graduate specialized in Latin dance. Before the Eras Tour, she served as the assistant choreographer for Karol G’s "Bichota Tour" and got her Lagree Fitness certification. You can spot her twirling in "Style" on the right of Swift at 2:10:39.

Tamiya Lewis is the crowd pleaser who wheels the "Red" road case onto the stage. During the tour, she opens it to reveal song snippets from "State of Grace," "Holy Ground," "Red" and "Everything Has Changed" (depending on the show). That part was cut from the movie, but you still see her bringing the case onstage to unleash hundreds of red balloons at 1:20:12. The 21-year-old is an alumnus of the Velocity Dance Convention , a dance convention and competition that provides classes to dancers across the U.S.

Sam Mcwilliams is the lovable dancer who appears to the right of Swift at 2:09:56. If you don't blink, you can also catch his famous "Style" flip at 2:10:41. The Oregon native has been dancing for most of his life. Check out a video of him in 2017 dancing to Meghan Trainor's "Me Too." In 2021, he was named the Radix senior male core performer , and he almost made the top 12 on Season 17 of "So You Think You Can Dance." Recently, Mcwilliams showed off his lyrical, limber and tumble talents in a duet dance with fellow dancer Jan Ravnik .

Karen Chuang hands Swift her microphone during "The Man" at 9:26. A few seconds later as she's poring over a typewriter, Swift takes her paper and chucks it. Chuang is officially a Gleek as one of her first television appearances was as a Vocal Adrenaline dancer in "Another One Bites The Dust." She also performed in the 2016 "Grease Live!" and Lady Gaga's Super Bowl halftime show. Chuang graduated Summa Cum Laude from UCLA.

Taylor Swift brings Travis Kelce onstage in London for the first time at an Eras Tour show

If anyone thought singing " Karma is the guy on the Chiefs " was as public as Taylor Swift was going to go with her all-star boyfriend, Travis Kelce, think again.

On Sunday night, at the third of her London Eras Tour shows this weekend, Kelce graced the famed diamond walkway at Wembley Stadium in his first-ever onstage appearance. He performed alongside Swift during the intro for "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart" in the newly added "Tortured Poets" era of the show .

Taylor Swift is joined on stage by Travis Kelce

As Swift transitions into the last song of the era, she typically acts out a short skit with two of her dancers, after she appears to "drop dead" during the penultimate song in the set, "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived."

One of the dancers carries her to a heart-shaped couch, and they then appear to revive a lifeless Swift, changing her costume from a white gown to a two-piece sequin set and applying her makeup to get her ready for the rest of the show so she can, well, do it with a broken heart.

Kelce proved to be a fearless lover Sunday, joining the trio onstage in full costume, showing off his acting chops as if he were auditioning to be a mainstay for the rest of the tour.

Videos posted to social media showed Kelce first carrying Swift to the couch, then brushing her face with a makeup brush once she was up again. He showed off some dance moves, too, all with a big, goofy smile plastered to his face.

The track, an upbeat pop banger on Swift's latest album, appears to be about the Eras Tour itself and how Swift has been able to put on one of the biggest and most successful concert runs of all time amid a breakup with longtime boyfriend Joe Alwyn last year, shortly after the tour began.

Swift herself gave high praise to her beau's performance, saying in a Monday post to Instagram that she was "still cracking up/swooning over" Kelce's stage debut on the Eras Tour.

It had already been a big Eras weekend for Kelce, who was at all three London shows. Swift posted a selfie on Instagram featuring Kelce alongside Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who attended the Friday night show .

Kelce and Swift have been linked for nearly a year now, as rumors swirled last summer about a potential relationship after Kelce boldly declared on his podcast, "New Heights," that he tried (and failed) to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his number on it at one of her Kansas City shows.

They went public with their relationship in September when Swift attended a Kansas City Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears, and they have been caught supporting each other and their very public careers ever since.

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour: All the U.S. and international dates and opening acts

Taylor Swift opened the Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona — which rebranded itself as "Swift Cit y" for the March 17 and 18 concerts — with a triumphant return to live performance as the first act in the history of that venue to sell out two nights on the same tour.

By that point, she'd already broken the all-time record for most concert tickets sold by an artist in a single day and passed Madonna's Sticky & Sweet Tour as the highest-grossing tour in history by a female artist.

And Swift rose to the occasion , leading her band through a marathon 44-song set that lasted more than three hours while delivering on her promise of "a journey through all of my musical eras."

So what does she do for an encore? Here's where the Eras Tour is headed next, adding two surprise songs to the set at each show. Here's a look at what she's played so far .

Taylor Swift is taking “Midnights” on the road.

Just a day after making Billboard history , the “Lavender Haze” singer announced Tuesday on “ Good Morning America ” that she will embark on her sixth concert tour.

“Good morning, America, it’s Taylor,” she said. “I wanted to tell you something that I’ve been so excited about for a really long time and I’ve been planning for ages, and I finally get to tell you I’m going back on tour. The tour is called the ‘Eras’ tour, and it’s a journey through all of my musical eras of my career.”

Swift will launch the tour in U.S. stadiums on March 18, 2023, in Glendale, Ariz. — the same place she kicked off her 2018 Reputation tour. So far, 27 dates have been announced across the country that will take the tour into August when she closes out the first leg with two shows at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood on Aug. 4 and 5.

She will release international dates later.

The Grammy winner has also tapped a number of “brilliant opening acts” for the tour, including Paramore, beabadoobee, Phoebe Bridgers, girl in red, Muna, Haim, Gayle, Gracie Abrams, and Owenn.

“And really, I’m just so excited that I get to look you guys in the eye and say thank you for everything,” she added.

I’m enchanted to announce my next tour: Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour, a journey through the musical eras of my career (past & present!) Prospective concertgoers will have to sign up for Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program to register for presale tickets now through Nov. 9. Once they receive a code, they will be able to purchase tickets on Nov. 15. Those tickets will start at $49 and go up to $449. VIP packages start at $199 and go up to $899.

Verified fans from Swift’s Lover Fest tour will also receive preferred access to participate in the TaylorSwiftTix Presale once registered with the same Ticketmaster account as the previous purchase.

All other public ticket sales begin Nov. 18 at 10 a.m. local venue time.

Swift’s announcement comes more than a week after she released her tenth studio album, “Midnights,” on Oct. 20 . The singer announced the album back in August during an acceptance speech at the Video Music Awards.

In a statement after the show , she described “Midnights” as a “a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams. The floors we pace and the demons we face.”

Leading up to the release, Swift teased fans by trickling details about the album — including writing credits for boyfriend Joe Alwyn and “The Batman” star Zoë Kravitz.

“Midnights” made its grand entrance by briefly crashing Spotify and treating fans to bonus tracks and a companion music video for the single “Anti-Hero.”

Times critic Mikael Wood wrote that “Midnights” “returns to an earlier Swift mode in both sonic and lyrical terms.”

After two rootsy pandemic albums, ‘Midnights’ picks up right where 2014’s ‘1989’ and 2017’s ‘Reputation’ left off.

Adding to the excitement around “Midnights” was the album’s commercial success. Swift’s new album broke records on Spotify last week and on Monday, the singer became the first artist to fully occupy the top 10 spots of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

“10 out of 10 of the Hot 100??? On my 10th album??? I AM IN SHAMBLES,” Swift tweeted on Monday.

Time to start saving up, Swifties. The news that Taylor Swift is going on her first tour in five years is exciting enough, but once you see the star-studded list of guest artists she’s bringing along for the ride, you’ll really want to purchase a ticket.

The pop star announced Tuesday (Nov. 1) that she would be embarking on The Eras Tour , a celebration of all 10 of the studio albums she’s released since 2006 — at least, that’s what the trek’s title suggests. Swift also shared a poster advertising the tour’s 27-date U.S. leg on Instagram featuring a collage of photos of herself through the years, from the time of her self-titled debut to Midnights , which dropped less than two weeks prior to the tour news.

All the Surprise Songs Taylor Swift Has Performed on The Eras Tour (So Far)

The Cats star hasn’t hit the road since 2018, when she launched her best-selling Reputation Tour. She had planned on performing again after the release of her 2019 record Lover in a concert series called Lover Fest, but canceled the shows due to the global coronavirus pandemic.

For those who are keeping count, this means that Tay has six albums-worth of new material that she’s never played live — if you include the previously unreleased vault tracks on 2021’s Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version) . Studio albums Folklore, Evermore and, of course, Midnights , have all also been released in the time between Lover and the Eras Tour.

Though additional international dates won’t be announced until a later time, Swift did also reveal exactly who’s joining her during her highly anticipated return to touring. A total of nine artists make up the supporting act lineup for the tour’s first leg — with two acts slated per night to open for Tay night — and some of them are very familiar faces for the Swiftie community.

Keep reading to see who’s joining Taylor Swift on her 2023 Eras Tour below:

The “Anti-Hero” singer brought Williams out during a show on her Speak Now tour to sing “That’s What You Get” in 2011, cast her in the award-winning “ Bad Blood ” music video in 2015, and reveled in her praise of Swift’s 2021 record Evermore .

Taylor Swift knew exactly what she was doing bringing Travis Kelce onstage

  • Travis Kelce made a surprise appearance onstage at Taylor Swift's Eras Tour show in London.
  • It's the first time Swift has invited a boyfriend to share the spotlight during one of her concerts.
  • The cameo evokes the 1989 World Tour — before Swift pulled back from the public eye.

Insider Today

Taylor Swift is no stranger to bringing guests onstage. But during her latest show in London on the Eras Tour on Sunday, she had a very special one: her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

Dressed in a ringmaster ensemble, the football star popped up during a costume-change skit that acts as the prelude to Swift's performance of " I Can Do It With a Broken Heart ." Before she delivered the first lyric, Swift even broke character to blow Kelce a kiss.

Of course, Swift and Kelce haven't been shy about kissing, cuddling, and supporting each other's endeavors since they began dating last summer . But Kelce's cameo gave PDA a whole new meaning. Never before had Swift invited a boyfriend to share the spotlight during one of her concerts, never mind one on a legacy-cementing billion-dollar tour .

The move seems even more surprising and extravagant in contrast to Swift's previous relationship with the British actor Joe Alwyn . During their six years together, both stars fiercely protected their privacy and were rarely seen together in public.

But for longtime Swifties, those who predate her relationship with Alwyn, Sunday's events may feel more familiar than strange — almost like a callback to simpler times.

In the first half of her career, Swift wasn't shy about her most romantic whims. She posted photos of heart-shaped lockets and tropical getaways . She took seaside strolls with her boyfriend's mom. She wore ball gowns and belted starry-eyed ballads while suspended in the air on flying balconies . Swift loved a grand gesture, both real and imaginary.

This was especially evident during the 1989 World Tour , which ran for nearly seven months in 2015. No, Swift's boyfriend at the time, Calvin Harris, did not make a surprise appearance. But pretty much everyone else did — from close friends like Karlie Kloss and Lena Dunham to athletes like Kobe Bryant and all manner of musicians and rock stars. Every night brought a new face, a new thrill, a new thread in the vast web of Swiftian lore.

Related stories

At the time, the "1989" era marked the peak of Swift's fame. Mostly thanks to her talent and partially thanks to her self-spun underdog narrative, she had enjoyed years of headlines like " Taylor Swift: America's sweetheart " and " Taylor Swift Is the Music Industry ."

With her new synth-pop sound, inescapable singles like "Shake It Off" and "Blank Space," a " squad " full of supermodels, and a cameo-packed tour, Swift was everywhere. So, as often happens with female celebrities , her success went from charming to grating. A new kind of headline began to pop up, immortalized by Dayna Evans' Gawker essay " Taylor Swift Is Not Your Friend ," which criticized her tour antics as "opportunistic and sinister."

Then came the infamous phone call. When Kim Kardashian shared a snippet of Swift's conversation with Ye about his song "Famous" that seemed to contradict Swift's version of events, the world was already ready to turn on her. In Swift's own words , she was "canceled within an inch of my life and sanity."

The backlash forced the self-described " mastermind " to recalculate her strategy and pull back from the public eye . She still released big pop bangers and went on tour, but her movements felt more careful, sparing, and protective.

Ever since Swift kicked off the Eras Tour last year (and split from Alwyn shortly after), she's gradually returned to her precancellation mentality. It's perhaps the most classic Swiftian ideology: More is more. This can apply to everything and anything — more songs , more hours onstage , more CD variants , and, naturally, more photo ops with her hunky boyfriend. She risks being overexposed again, but maybe this time, she knows she'll survive.

Indeed, Swift told Time in December that she's not interested in being "locked away" anymore, in exerting "an extreme amount of effort" to hide her passion and enthusiasm from the world, including her bond with Kelce.

"When you say a relationship is public, that means I'm going to see him do what he loves, we're showing up for each other, other people are there, and we don't care," she said.

In this respect, Kelce may be the perfect match for Swift. After all, their relationship started after he mentioned on his podcast that he wanted to meet her; he's a businessman ( and a ham ) in his own right. His managers have been open about their plan to make him "as famous as the Rock."

For these two peas in a pod, personal triumphs are communal by trade, whether it's a touchdown at the Super Bowl or a first kiss that inspires a smash hit.

"Ultimately, we can convolute it all we want, or try to overcomplicate it," Swift told Time. "But there's only one question: Are you not entertained?"

Ever the performer, Swift knows exactly what she's doing. As much as maximalism is true to Swift's brand, it's also good for business.

Swift's music indicates that she is expressive, theatrical, and sentimental at her core. Her net worth proves that she's skilled at monetizing those qualities. After all, Swift made her name as a confessional songwriter, transforming her intimate moments into morsels for public consumption.

Perhaps bringing Kelce onstage felt as natural to Swift as writing a love song about him. But as Swift well knows, both will generate headlines.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are hitting more relationship milestones!

The stars, who first sparked dating rumors in September 2023 before confirming their romance the following month, were in London this weekend as Swift brought the Eras Tour to Wembley Stadium. After spotting the Kansas City Chiefs tight end in the crowd at Wembley — and on Swift's Instagram on Friday night alongside Prince William ,  Prince George  and  Princess Charlotte — the duo surprised the audience when Kelce made a special appearance on stage Sunday night.

Following their big moment, the two went on to celebrate early into the following morning at London hot spot Chiltern Firehouse.

From going Instagram official to making their on-stage debut, see all of the best photos of Swift and Kelce's three days in London!

Royally Instagram Official

Taylor Swift/Instagram

The weekend was a big one for Kelce and Swift as they checked a few milestones off the list. First was the two becoming Instagram official in one of the most epic ways — in a selfie with Prince William ,  Prince George  and  Princess Charlotte !

Swift shared the photo to her Instagram along with the caption: "Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start 🇬🇧🇺🇸🤝 @princeandprincessofwales," shouting out William's recent 42nd birthday.

That night, William was seen letting loose as he danced to "Shake It Off" from the stands.

Hold for Applause

Two nights later, the power couple crossed off another first when Kelce joined Swift on stage during her The Tortured Poets Department part of the set. For the big moment, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end wore a tux and a top hat for Swift's   "I Can Do It with a Broken Heart" outfit change .

He stepped in for the dancer who usually carries Swift across the stage and carried his girlfriend, then set her down on the red couch at the center of the stage before touching up her makeup and sending her on her way.

Power Couple

Kelce was hands on for the entirety of the segment — which includes dancer Kameron Saunders, whose brother Khalen Saunders is Kelce's former Chiefs teammate — and showed off his own dance moves.

Lights, Camera ...

The moment was caught on camera, of course, by tens of thousands of shocked fans. And though it marked Kelce's first time making an on-stage appearance, he has  been to numerous Eras Tour shows since the duo first began dating last year.

Night to Celebrate

CH/SplashNews

Following their on-stage debut, the couple hit the town at London's Chiltern Firehouse to celebrate.

Swift wore a colorful crochet dress and chunky heels while Kelce wore a white shirt paired with matching pants and a blue bucket hat.

The Taylor Swift Economy Has Landed in Europe

Economists are debating what effect the singer’s sweep through Europe will have this summer as swarms of fans increase demand for hotels and services.

Images of Taylor Swift are projected on a giant screen during a performance.

By Eshe Nelson

Reporting from London

It’s not just Taylor Swift fans keeping a close eye on her Eras Tour dates. One of Europe’s most prominent economists is acutely aware that the singer is spending the summer jetting between Europe’s stadiums.

Philip Lane, the chief economist at the European Central Bank, had the pop star on his mind when he spoke at an event on Monday. The interviewer had asked him about the risk that stubborn inflation in the services sector could intensify, especially with Europe heading into a particularly busy summer with the Olympics in Paris and the Euro 2024 soccer championship in Germany.

“Well, that’s very interesting,” he said at the event . “You managed to say all that without saying Taylor Swift.”

Ms. Swift is touring Europe this summer, bringing in her wake hundreds of thousands of Swifties spending on airfare, hotels, restaurants and friendship bracelets . On Friday, she will perform the first of eight shows at London’s Wembley Stadium; about 700,000 people are expected to see the shows in the British capital. And analysts are debating the economic footprint it will leave.

Economists in the United States know that Eras is an economic tour de force. As consumers splurged on concerts, meals, vacations and other recreational experiences they missed out on during pandemic lockdowns, one company estimated that the tour could generate $4.6 billion in North America alone from spending on tickets, merchandise and travel.

Central bankers are justified in scrutinizing the potential inflationary effects of the arrival of a global superstar: In May last year, when Beyoncé kicked off her Renaissance World Tour in Stockholm, an economist attributed a blip in the inflation data to the singer’s concert, as fans traveled from afar to witness the first show.

Europe’s central banks have started to cut interest rates — or are poised to — as inflation has slowed substantially over the past year, putting their 2 percent target rates within sight. But there are lingering concerns that inflationary pressures have not been stamped out because price gains for services, which include hotels and restaurants, are repeatedly higher than expected.

The demand that the Eras Tour creates for hotel rooms and flights across Europe could push up prices that feed into each country’s inflation rate. Central bankers are sensitive to even minute changes in the data as they try to distinguish one-off effects from lasting ones. If central bankers worry that inflation is not slowing as expected, they could hold off cutting rates.

“All those tiny quirks are going to matter a lot,” said Lucas Krishan, a strategist at TD Securities in London. They can “muddle the picture for central banks heading into these decisions.”

Last month, Portugal’s inflation rate accelerated, in part because of a jump in hotel prices in Lisbon “resulting from a major cultural event,” the country’s statistics office said. Ms. Swift performed in Lisbon on May 24 and 25.

The impact that events like Ms. Swift’s tour have on inflation can be mitigated by how well a country’s economists anticipate the effect of her concerts so investors and others are not surprised by the data. Policymakers at the European Central Bank have said that the path back to 2 percent inflation will be “bumpy” and that a relatively strong tourism season is already baked into their forecasts.

But Mr. Krishan said it was possible that Ms. Swift's concerts in August, when the tour swings back through London, could increase services inflation in Britain, especially because one of her tour dates may coincide with the day that the nation’s statistics agency records price data. If hotel prices follow the pattern set when she played in Liverpool this month, services inflation could rise as much as 0.3 percentage points. Higher-than-expected inflation data in August could encourage Bank of England officials to hold off on cutting rates in September, Mr. Krishan said.

Other analysts are skeptical of Ms. Swift’s ability to have a seismic impact that shows up in national statistics.

“Taylor Swift is unlikely to be affecting central bank policy. She’s unlikely to be affecting government policy,” said George Moran, an economist at Nomura. “And I don’t think it’s a sustainable option for growth in a country to rely on having superstar concerts.”

Barclays predicted that Ms. Swift's tour would lead to a bump of nearly 1 billion pounds ($1.3 billion) in the British economy , but those suggestions are hard to substantiate, Mr. Moran said, because no one knows how much people are diverting their spending from other activities. Even then, £1 billion would not be enough to revitalize Britain’s stagnant economy .

Still, Mr. Moran added that for individual cities and certain sectors, the tour could have a meaningful impact. When tickets went on sale last summer, Airbnb searches in host cities increased more than 300 percent on average, the company said. The Greater London authority estimated that Ms. Swift’s eight London shows would generate £300 million for the economy .

“The impact is going to be more local than macro,” Mr. Moran said. “Taylor Swift is obviously a massive phenomenon, and the areas that she’s visiting is causing a big buzz in the hospitality sector.”

‘This Is Extraordinary’: Why the Eras Tour Is Taylor Swift’s Greatest Live Triumph Yet

By Rob Sheffield

Rob Sheffield

“Jersey, welcome to the Eras Tour!” Taylor Swift yelled on Friday night. “There is one thing that I daydream about with the childlike enthusiasm of a hundred birthday parties, and that is MetLife Stadium Night 1.” That gets the mood about right. She spent this weekend at her long-awaited MetLife Stadium shows in New Jersey destroying the hearts and lungs of 83,000 of the planet’s most godforsaken messes. All three shows were chaotic jubilation, full of songs we’ve waited years to sing. And Taylor missed this more than any of us.

This weekend I spent three consecutive nights at these shows, singing and weeping and suffering and agonizing through an emotional epic Tay-pocalypse every night. But it feels brutal that it’s over so soon. Nobody wanted it to stop. Not even Taylor, who paused on Sunday night at her piano during “Champagne Problems” to rave, “If you think I’m just coasting along thinking this is normal, I can assure you this is not the case. This is extraordinary.”

Editor’s picks

Every awful thing trump has promised to do in a second term, the 250 greatest guitarists of all time, the 500 greatest albums of all time, the 50 worst decisions in movie history.

The communal vibe is always intense at a Swift show, but never more than at this one. I was in the Night 1 parking lot about 10 minutes before someone I’d never met gave me a BETTY’S CARDIGAN friendship bracelet that I’m still wearing right now. I brought extra packs of pocket tissues, which came in handy when the Fearless interlude inspired a few meltdowns in my row Sunday night. When Taylor began the Evermore section into “Tis the Damn Season,” the security guy came over and said, “You the guy with the tissues?” Another couple of fans were having tear-duct emergencies, sobbing to me, “I really love this album!” ONLY at a Taylor show.

Ms. lauryn hill, ice spice, tyla join 2024 bet awards performance lineup, see soccer mommy bring out phoebe bridgers for elliott smith cover at l.a. show.

Over the show, she celebrates every part of her career, except her 2006 country debut, which surprisingly doesn’t even make a token appearance, though she’s done some of the songs as acoustic one-offs. (There’s no other career where such a great debut could turn out to be Not Era Enough.) Some of the eras turned into full-blown dance parties, like 1989 , Reputation , and Midnights . Fearless was the one era where she flashed her early twangy side — she made such a statement by stepping out on the catwalk after the first verse for a triumphant power twirl. It was pandemonium when she introduced “You Belong With Me” and “Love Story” by asking, “Jersey, are you ready to go back to high school with me?”

By the time she got to the Folklore era, it was already a few hours into the show, but her emotional brutality never let up — honestly, the worst thing that she ever did was what she did to us. She sang “The One” on the roof of a mossy cottage — the line that blows up into a real audience screamer is “You meet some woman on the internet and taaaaake her hooome .” She did just the peak of “Illicit Affairs,” the “don’t call me kid” chant — a song about sordid meetings in parking lots hit hard coming an hour after “Fearless,” a very different song about a couple in a parking lot, but maybe the same girl a few years down the line. So many of the songs felt extra cathartic live, since virtually all of us in the crowd learned to sing these songs in a moment of extreme solitude and isolation. She did “Betty,” “Cardigan,” “My Tears Ricochet,” and the unstoppable “August,” pouncing on that final “get in the car!” Also, it wouldn’t be Tay’s style to forget that MetLife Stadium is literally behind a mall .

She slips acoustic surprise songs into the set list every night, one on guitar and one alone with her piano. On Friday night, she did “Getaway Car” (with Jersey boy Jack Antonoff) and “Maroon.” On Saturday, it was a pair of New York love songs, “Holy Ground” and “False God.” But the peaks were Sunday night, when she did a stripped-down “Welcome to New York,” leaning hard on the line that people chose to overlook in 2014 — “You can want who you want/Boys and boys and girls and girls.” Then she did a devastating “Clean” on piano. Her enthusiasm spilled over with quips like “You guys always give 113 per cent” or “You will get a treat for that!” Early on Friday night, she declared, “You guys are historically a great crowd. Do you think that you want to continue that tradition?” When the fans roared, she replied, “I was hoping you would say that. In case you said no, I was going to just ditch this plan completely.”

“All Too Well (Ten Minute Version)” was the coup de grace, filling up the enormous space with the sound of just Taylor and her thousands of confidantes. It couldn’t help but evoke the moment when she sang it the first time she played MetLife Stadium — 10 summers ago, in July 2013. That night, it already seemed incredibly to think of how far she’d come so fast. But 10 ears later, hearing “All Too Well” in that same venue, it seemed to sum up everywhere she’s traveled in those past 10 years. Like the rest of the Eras Tour, it was a celebration of all the holy ground she and her audience has covered.

At one point on Sunday night, during the Midnights finale, I heard voices and thought the security guard near me was arguing with a fan. It turned out they were just trading friendship bracelets. It’s THAT kind of show. That’s the world this woman and only this woman creates, on an epic scale, night after night. There’s no experience in music like being part of that world Taylor Swift creates for a few hours. And there’s no way not to feel joyful about taking it all with you when you leave.

Travis Kelce did not attend Taylor Swift’s first Eras Tour show in Dublin, Ireland, Friday night after spending time with her in England earlier this week.

Despite Kelce’s absence, Swift seemingly gave a nod to the Kansas City Chiefs star with a special piece of jewelry.

Fans noticed the pop star, 34, re-wore her Tiffany & Co. Tiffany T Diamond Wire Ring  ($2,675), which features a duo of diamond-dotted Ts — the couple’s initials.

Swift wore the same yellow-gold band last weekend ahead of Kelce’s surprise onstage appearance.

The athlete attended all three of Swift’s shows in London last weekend, where he was joined by a slew of other famous faces — including Prince William, whom he described as the “coolest motherf—ker.”

The NFL star, 34, also brought brother Jason Kelce and his wife, Kylie Kelce, along for the first two nights.

Although Travis has seen the show several times, it was the first time the former Philadelphia Eagles player, 36, got to see Swift in concert.

Travis Kelce

During Wednesday’s episode of the Kelce brother’s “New Heights” podcast , Jason admitted the show was so “amazing” he even began “tearing up” at one point.

Jason told Travis that he got emotional watching Swift gift a young fan her famous “22” hat during the “Red” set.

“Dude, I’ve never cried at a f—king concert,” Jason, who is dad to three daughters, said. “It was f—king so special. It was great.”

Jason and Travis Kelce podcast

Despite that, the sports commentator said his “favorite” part of the three-hour show was the surprise songs section.

“To be able to perform those seamlessly on the spot with nothing else to hide it, that was the highlight of the evening for me.”

While Jason got to see two back-to-back shows, he missed his younger brother’s cameo by one day.

Travis shocked fans last Sunday when he came out on stage during the “Tortured Poets Department” set.

After helping Swift change outfits and freshen up, he cheered her on as she launched into “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”

Swift later posted several photos and videos of the sweet interaction on Instagram, telling fans she was still “swooning” over it.

The couple, who started dating last summer, celebrated the successful surprise at Chiltern Firehouse alongside several of their close friends.

The pair partied until the wee hours of the morning but kept a low profile in the days following.
