Running an aftermarket steering wheel setup requires the removal of the cruise control stalk. This cruise control kit offers a simple solution for retaining your cruise control.

The new TY-2 model works for aftermarket steering wheel setups with or without a quick release.

The previous TY-1 model only works for aftermarket steering wheel setups only with a quick release.

Neat. I've got an '84 with that sorry skinny steering wheel. Over the years I've just put covers over it but this gives me hope for something better. Thanks.

You're famous !! I have a grant wheel I've always wanted to stick on.  

Ditto for me... So do the switches stay stationary or do they turn with the wheel? If they turn, how do you keep the wires from wrapping? Sign me up for that too!  

The OE cruise control wiring is retained. It goes down the steering column just like the stock set-up. Yes, the switches rotate with the wheel.  

how much was the bracket?...where can we get it? It's funny that this thread came up because I was looking at Grant steering wheels but didnt want to relocate my cruise control.  

Dude where did you get that bracket . I put a MOMO on my 94 bronco and gave the cruise up. I would love to reinstall it. Let us know .  

That is a clean set-up. I'd get one if we knew how to get em.  

I'm waiting for a response from the guy that made the bracket. I sent him and email asking if it was ok to post his contact info but haven't heard back. As soon as I do I'll let you guys know.  

OK guys I got a response from Mark. He said he'd be happy to make more. I believe they are $85 and the come with the mounting screws for the switches. You will need to supply your own switches, but those should be relatively easy to come by at a wrecking yard. If anyone needs help with the wiring let me know. You can email Mark directly for more information on purchasing the bracket. [email protected]  

It's a really nice piece and it's well worth $85. There's just no way for me to justify spending that kind of money to myself on something I don't really need. I think Iv'e done too many of th sixliters mods and have gotten use to doing things cheaply.

It's a little spendy for me. I have seen the grant ones for around 50. I don't want an aftermarket steering wheel THAT bad!

I agree. I also didn't like the fact that their kit uses a kit-specific switch. Personally I'd rather use OE switches that I know I can find years from now should they ever go bad. Add to that the fact the Marks machined bracket looks much better and for me it was an easy choice.  

I know it's an old thread but does anyone know if this guy is still making these adapters?

Our 1st generation Acura TSX / 7th generation Honda Accord /  steering control button relocation adapter is machined out of 6061 Aluminum. This kit allows you to keep your factory steering wheel control button(s), cruise control functionality and wiring with any aftermarket steering wheel setup. It works with and without a quick release. This will only work with hubs that retain the clockspring. Deleting the clockspring will remove the location you need to plug your OE buttons back into.

It bolts up behind your aftermarket steering wheel setup and allows you to keep your stock cruise control.   It  f eatures adjustability for the cruise control module to optimize fitment with any setup.

Simply bolt up your steering wheel control buttons and plug it into the stock location.  No wiring or cutting necessary making it 100% reversible.

This kit includes the steering wheel control button adapter plate(s) and all the necessary hardware for simple installation of OE steering wheel / cruise control buttons onto your aftermarket steering hub.

Variations include:

• Single side can hold either the cruise control OR the volume controls
• Dual side can hold both the volume and cruise controls

Note:   OE STEERING WHEEL BUTTONS AND CRUISE CONTROL MODULE NOT INCLUDED.
