TOUR INFORMATION

You will be picked up from your hotel in Sultanahmet and departure with an air-conditioned midibus for 6 hrs of drive to Troy. It is one of the most important ancient cities in the world.

Daily trip to Troy Ancient City, with early departure from & late return to Istanbul. The tour takes place every day with group tours, visiting various sites of the ancient city with its remnants that survived to date. Pick-up from hotels in Sultanahmet and Taksim is available. Please ask for other locations.

This is a regular group tour program taking place with a group of 15-20 people from different countries and places. You may or may not be together all the time throughout the program.

Private tour arrangements can also be made upon request. 

You will be picked up from your hotel at around 06:00-06:15 in Taksim area or 06:30-07:00 in Sultanahmet area, then start driving for Troy Ancient City, which takes around 6 hrs' drive from Istanbul. You will stop on the way for a small breakfast break, then arrive at Eceabat at around 12:00 to meet with your guide and the rest of the group. You will have lunch with the group, then cross the Dardanelles and drive for Troy another 20-30 mins. You will be greeted by the model of Trojan Horse, stands as a symbol of the famous wooden horse used at the time. Then you will see the Sacrifical Altars, 3700-year-old city walls, Houses of Troy I (3000 BC-2500 BC), The Bouleuterion (Senate Building), The Odeon (Concert Hall), current excavations in progress and the remains of various cities from Troy I to Troy IX. After the tour, at around 17:00, you will start driving drive back to Istanbul, dropping off at your hotel at around 22:30.

Alternative arrangements can be made instead of returning back to Istanbul upon request.

The price is  130 EUR  per person, including:

- 1 half-day regular group tour w/ professional guidance in English

- Lunch before the tour (except drinks)

- Entrance fees to the sites visited

- Transportation w/ A/C vehicles

The price excludes dinner, personal expenses and tips (optional).

Private tour arrangement: 

If you wish, you may also take this trip as private, with a vehicle and English-speaking guide reserved solely for yourselves.

The price for the private tour is  700 EUR , valid for 1-4 people.

Troy Day Tour from Istanbul

Daily Troy Tour from Istanbul offers to explore the legendary ancient city of Troy. You will learn a lot about Trojan mythology and explore the ruins of the UNESCO World Heritage site while walking in the footsteps of Achilles, Hector, Paris, and Helen.

Pick up from the hotel at around 06:00 in Istanbul and drive to Troy. When we arrive in Eceabat, a nice town on the shores of Dardanelles Strait, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch, take a ferry trip from Eceabat to Çanakkale and then drive to Troy. Your guide will give you information about the mythology, the history, and the discoveries of the archaeological excavations that have been made so far. The city that was made famous by Homer in his book Iliad describing the 10-year war is just one of the layered settlements. On our Troy Tour, we both visit the still impressive defensive walls of the ancient city and learn the detailed story of the Trojan War, and walk past the ruins of everyday houses dating back more than 3000 years. It is a great experience to walk the same paths as the people of the city did three millennia ago.

At the end of this historical tour to Troy, we drive to the port to take the ferry back to Eceabat. Then we drive back to Istanbul. Arrive in Istanbul late in the evening and drop off at the hotel.
