The Palace has undergone changes as recently as the 20th century to keep up with the times. The vast complex of the palace occupies one-seventh of the walled city. City Palace used to be the seat of the Maharaja of Jaipur.

Planned with accurate intricacies, the palace is divided into a series of courtyards, buildings and gardens. The architectural style of the City Palace is a fusion of the Shilpa Shastra along with Rajput, Mughal and European styles.

The Palace was built using red and pink sandstone and has three gates, namely ‘Tripolia Gate’, ‘Udai Pol’, ‘Virendra Pol’. The striking courtyards, lush green gardens, splendid edifices and meticulous stonework make the Palace a perfect blend of design, art, colour and culture.

2. The Hawa Mahal

The Magnificent monument of Hawa Mahal stands at the intersection of the main road of Badi Chaupad. Hawa Mahal is the signature building of the city and was built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in the year 1799.

Hawa Mahal borrows its name from its signature small mesh windows that allow cool wind to enter the palace and keep the palace cool and comfortable during the unbearably hot summer months.

Hawa Mahal is built in the Rajput architectural style and is constructed of red and pink sandstone. The Palace has a pyramidal structure which almost resembles a crown, and is embellished with a myriad of tiny windows. The palace is a five-floor building with uniquely decorated chambers on every floor.

The exquisite architectural design of the mausoleums, the fort, and the palaces is a vivid reminder of the opulence of the Mughal Empire, of which Agra served as the capital during the 16th and early 17th centuries. Although Agra lost its significance as a political centre when Shah Jahan transferred the capital to Delhi in 1634, its architectural grandeur has earned it a prominent place on the international map. Agra is a pleasant town with a relatively unhurried pace, known for its exceptional inlay work on marble and soapstone, crafted by descendants of artisans who worked under the Mughals. Additionally, the city is renowned for its carpets, gold thread embroidery, and leather shoes. Upon arrival, we will check in at the hotel, and the rest of the afternoon will be free for leisure activities. You will be staying overnight at the hotel.

Day 07: Agra to Umaria (By overnight Train)

Experience the Taj Mahal at dawn before proceeding to the railway station to catch the train to Umaria, where you will spend the night on board.

Day 08: Arrive at Umaria to Bandhavgarh National Park (25 km)

When you reach Umaria railway station, our representative will greet you and accompany you to your hotel located in Bandhavgarh National Park. Once you have checked in and freshened up after lunch, we will embark on a thrilling jungle safari in the national park to observe its awe-inspiring wildlife. You will spend the night in Bandhavgarh.

Day 09: Bandhavgarh National Park

Our Jeep safari to the National Park for wildlife viewing will proceed as planned, and we will enter the park twice for the same purpose. We will be staying overnight at the resort.

Day 10: Bandhavgarh National Park to Kanha National Park (245 km)

After our morning jeep safari in the national park, we will embark on a drive to Kipling's country, the Kanha National Park. Along the way, we will visit the Fossil Park of Ghuguwa, where fossils of 31 genera from 18 plant families have been identified, providing a glimpse into life in area 65 million years ago.

Once we arrive in Kanha, we will check into a wildlife resort and enjoy lunch. Afterwards, we will explore the nearby area on foot before settling in for an overnight stay. 

Day 11: Kanha National Park

You will enjoy both morning and afternoon Jeep safaris in the National Park to observe the wildlife. After a day of adventure, you will spend the night at the resort.

Day 12: Kanha National Park

Day 14: Delhi (Departure)
