If you’re seeing very expensive tickets that are not VIP, those are official platinum tickets. These tickets are very expensive and are offered well over the standard ticket prices. They’re the kind of ticket pricing that is unfair to fans. The Event Organizer(s) has priced these tickets according to their market value (aka dynamic pricing). In other words, ticket pricing can go up or down, and it usually goes up.

Official platinum tickets do not include VIP packages. The only positive thing about them is they make buying floor or front-row tickets to a high-demand concert very easy if you’re willing to shed the extra coin. They can be bought during a presale without a presale code (doesn’t always apply to Verified Fan). Availability and pricing for official platinum tickets are subject to change based on demand.

If money is not an object, you should definitely bank on the convenience of getting Official Platinum tickets.

Pro Tips When Buying Your Tickets

First, on the day of the presale or general onsale (whichever you prefer), login to your Ticketmaster account ( go to my account or sign in located on the upper right corner of the page ) at least 15 minutes ahead of the sale time. If you don’t have one,  create one now .

Be sure to add your billing info (aka credit card info) before jumping into the digital queue for a quick check-out. Once the presale starts, remain in the digital queue. Only use one browser window because using multiple browsers or devices and multiple accounts with the same phone number can result in errors. Trust, it’s happened to us before! Don’t refresh your page, do be patient, don’t leave your page, do get those tickets!

What To Do If Tickets Are Sold Out?

If tickets sell out, your other option is to buy them via online resellers like VividSeats or StubHub. When all else fails, we prefer these resell options because both offer a 100% Guarantee. Eric Clapton’s North American 2023 tour is extremely limited.

So limited that he is only performing five concerts, all in September, and one of those is in Pennsylvania.

Clapton will begin the tour with a concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8 at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.

On Sept. 10, he will be at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario; Sept. 12 at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri; Sept. 14 at Xcel Energy Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Sept. 16 at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.

Clapton Fan Club tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 29. The Live Nation pre-sale starts at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 30, the same time as the venue presale and the Pittsburgh Penguins Club seat pre-sale.

General public tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 31.

Guitar legend Eric Clapton has announced 2021 tour dates of North America. At this time, Clapton has 26 concerts scheduled around the world, including these eight newly added American shows.

In September, stops are planned in Texas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida with opening act Jimmie Vaughan. In 2022, Clapton and the band plan to tour the UK and Europe from May through June. Clapton's band lineup currently features guitarist Doyle Bramhall II, multi-instrumentalist Paul Carrack, bassist Nathan East, drummers Sonny Emory and Steve Gadd, keyboardist Chris Stainton, and vocalists Sharon White and Katie Kissoon.

Tickets for the previously announced dates are now on sale. For the new shows, the general public on-sale begins as early as June 18. Presales for fan club members begin June 16. Clapton hinted at the possibility of retiring from the road when he reached the age of 70 in a 2013 interview with Rolling Stone , and revealed in 2016 that he was suffering from peripheral neuropathy. Since then, he has continued to play spirited concerts, but limited his number of shows and amount of travel.

Guitar legend Eric Clapton has announced a limited series of concert dates across North America in September 2023. Clapton’s first Twin Cities concert in 14 years is scheduled for September 14 at Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul. Special guest will be Jimmie Vaughan . Eric Clapton’s band for these shows will include Doyle Bramhall II, Paul Carrack, Nathan East, Sonny Emory, and Chris Stainton with Sharon White and Katie Kissoon on backing vocals.

For enhanced safety and speed of entry, we encourage guests not to bring bags of any kind. Bags, purses and backpacks are not allowed. Clutch, wristlet and wallets sized 4" x 6" x 1.5" or smaller are allowed and subject to inspection. Medical bags and diaper bags are allowed, however, they are required to pass through x-ray screening prior to entry. Guests with medical and diaper bags must enter the arena at Gate 1. Please allow extra time for entry.

Dine before the show at  Flynt & Kyndle , where an inviting atmosphere meets socially-inspired gourmet food and crafted cocktails. This seated VIP dining experience will delight you and your guests. Eric Clapton Plots North American Tour Dates

Guitar icon Eric Clapton has announced a short North American tour slated to begin in September. The impending romp will see the acclaimed musician perform four U.S. shows and one Canadian gig in the coming months. 

Clapton’s band for the North American dates will include Doyle Bramhall II, Paul Carrack, Nathan East, Sonny Emory, and Chris Stainton, with Sharon White and Katie Kissoon on backing vocals. 

The tour will commence on Sept. 8 at Pittsburgh’s PPG Paints Arena before the lone Great White North date, which will occur at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena on Sept 10. Clapton’s jaunt will continue with a Sept. 12 show at Enterprise Center in St. Louis. 

Remaining in the Midwest, the “Wonderful Tonight” singer will pick up a gig at Xcel Energy Center in Minneapolis on Sept. 14, prior to the ensemble’s final tour date, which will happen on Sept. 16 at Ball Arena in Denver.

Iconic guitarist Eric Clapton seems to have created a new annual tradition for himself.

After playing just seven concerts last fall, the 78-year-old announced he’ll conduct a short tour once again this September .

From Sept. 8-16, the man who brought the world “Layla,” “Sunshine Of Your Love” and “Wonderful Tonight” will play five concerts in Pittsburgh , Toronto , St. Louis , Saint Paul and Denver along with special guest Jimmie Vaughan.

At each show, Clapton will alternate between sections where he plays with a full band, followed by an acoustic solo set and then, he’ll close the night with a full band.

Jimmie Vaughan is a guitar legend in his own right as well.

Originally from Austin, TX, Vaughan is known for operatic blues rock that he’s been playing since the late ’60s when his band opened for Jimi Hendrix.

Eric Clapton announces fall 2024 concerts in San Diego, Los Angeles and Palm Springs

E ric Clapton, the only musician who has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame three times, will perform a Southern California mini-tour in October. These will be his only U.S. concert dates for the remainder of 2024.

Following a series of September concerts in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico, the English guitar legend and his band will kick off their three-city California visit with an Oct. 8 concert at Pechanga Arena San Diego. It will be followed by an Oct. 10 show at Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs and an Oct. 12 performance at the Hollywood Bowl. Ticket information appears below.

Clapton's three California concerts will feature an opening set by fellow guitarist and singer Jimmie Vaughan. The show will mark Clapton's first performance at the San Diego venue since 2011, when it was known as Valley View Casino Center. He performed in 2007 at the same venue — now known as Pechanga Arena — during its brief tenure under the name iPayOne Center .

That 2007 concert was recorded for Clapton's double-album, "Live in San Diego." Clapton's bassist, then and now, is former San Diegan Nathan East.

"Live in San Diego" includes several songs featuring singer-songwriter J.J. Cale, who died in 2013. A longtime northern San Diego County resident, Cale was a major influence on Clapton, with whom he recorded the Grammy Award-winning 2006 album, "The Road to Escondido," on which East is also featured.

Pechanga Arena opened in 1966 as the San Diego Sports Arena. Clapton's 1968 concert at the same venue with Cream, his pioneering blues-rock power trio. The group's nine-song performance is documented on the four-CD set, "Cream — Goodbye Tour Live 1968," which was released in 2020.

Tickets for Clapton's October concerts in San Diego, Los Angeles and Palm Springs go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at axs.com . Ticket prices for the San Diego show range from $69.50 to $395.50, plus service fees. The Pechanga Arena box office does not open until 11 a.m. Friday, an hour after tickets go on sale online.
