BTS singer Jung Kook only officially launched his solo career a few months ago, but he’s not wasting any time when it comes to checking all the boxes that a musician on their own needs to.

The global superstar recently announced his first full concert on his own, which he is calling Golden Live On Stage. The show is scheduled to take place at Seoul's Jangchung Arena on November 20.

Golden Live On Stage is, for now, just a one-off show, and it will come hot off the heels of the release of his forthcoming debut solo album, Golden . That set is slated to drop on November 3.

The announcement was made on the social media platform Weverse , where fans who hold ARMY membership—essentially die-hard followers of BTS and the band’s members in their solo pursuits—will also be able to buy tickets to the South Korean show. Those who can’t get passes, or who might not be based in the Asian nation, will reportedly be able to watch a livestream of the concert.

While Golden Live On Stage will be Jung Kook’s first solo concert, it won’t be the first time he’s performed on stage for a massive crowd. As a member of BTS, he has already toured the world and played to sold out stadiums filled with tens of thousands of screaming fans. He also recently took part in the Global Citizen music festival in New York City, where he played to thousands of attendees and even more people watching online.

Jung Kook's album Golden isn’t coming for another few weeks, but he has been promoting it with several singles. He topped the Hot 100 this summer with “Seven,” which featured rapper Latto and which was marketed as his first proper release on his own—even though he’d already appeared on the chart before without his BTS friends. A little more than a week ago, he shared the second cut from the project, a collaboration with Jack Harlow titled “3D.”

BTS's Jungkook Announces "'GOLDEN' Live On Stage" Concert

BTS ’s Jungkook will be holding his first solo concert next month!

On October 9, BIGHIT MUSIC officially announced Jungkook’s plans for a “‘GOLDEN’ Live On Stage” show in which he will perform songs from his upcoming solo album “ GOLDEN .”

“‘GOLDEN’ Live On Stage” will take place on November 20 at 8 p.m. KST at the Jangchung Arena in Seoul, and the concert will also be streamed online for fans unable to attend in person.

Meanwhile, Jungkook’s first solo album “GOLDEN” will drop on November 3 at 1 p.m. KST. Check out his latest teasers for the album here !

Jungkook's "Seven" Video Is Like a Rom-Com Where He Woos Han So-Hee 7 Days a Week

This is not a drill, BTS fans! The group's youngest member, Jungkook, has officially launched his solo era. While the maknae has released numerous singles as gifts to fans through the years (like his love letter to ARMY, "Still With You") and collaborations like "Left and Right" with Charlie Puth and his World Cup anthem, "Dreamers, " with Fahad Al Kubaisi, the July 14 release of "Seven" marks the start of his career as a bonafide solo artist.

Fans have been waiting for this single since July 6, when Big Hit Music started rolling out Jungkook's promotional content for "Seven," including a short film and concept photos featuring the star showing off his physique in various outfits (one — loose-fitting jeans paired with an oversized blazer — even gives a peek at his abs). On July 7, it was also revealed that Jungkook's first performance of "Seven" is already planned.

The K-pop singer has since opened up about how the process of releasing his solo single has impacted him. "This is first in the official schedule for my solo music . . . I think I gained some confidence in believing that I can do this," Jungkook shared on July 10 in a special behind-the-scenes featurette of his recording sessions for "Seven". "A song that can receive recognition. I hope people listen to the song with ease."

It's always easy to listen to Jungkook, but there's also tons of excitement around the video, especially with the anticipated appearance of a certain South Korean actor. From the official teaser that dropped on July 12 "Nevertheless" and "My Name" actor Han So-Hee will appear in the visual. The clip featured the BTS member and Han arguing at a fancy dinner before a chandelier crashes beside them.

In a Tong Tong Culture interview, Jungkook shared the meaning behind "Seven"'s lyrics, explaining, "[They have] the meaning to be with the person you love all the time. Like the title of the song, from Monday to next Sunday, that willingness to be with that love of my life every day is shown in this passionate serenade."

BTS member Jung Kook announced the release date for debut full-length solo album on Tuesday (Oct. 3), revealing that Golden will drop on Nov. 3. The 11-track album will feature the singer/dancer’s Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit single with Latto, “Seven,” as well as his new song with Jack Harlow, “3D.”

A Complete List of BTS’ Solo Projects (So Far)

The solo LP follows a string of previous solo singles from Jung Kook, including “Euphoria,” “My Time,” “Still With You” and “My You,” as well as collab singles with Lauv (“Who”) and Charlie Puth on the latter’s 2022 single “Left and Right.”

The Harlow song is on track to debut at No. 2 on the UK singles chart this week, marking the week’s highest debut. Jung Kook made  U.K. chart history  earlier this year with “Seven,” when the track landed at No. 3 on the Official U.K. Singles Chart (July 21), for the highest-charting debut by a solo Korean act.

The 26-year-old singer is stepping out on his own in the midst of BTS’ pause to allow its members to report for South Korea’s mandatory military service. To date, Suga, Jin and J-Hope have all enlisted, with Suga reporting for duty on Sept. 22 and telling fans to hang tight for the group’s planned 2025 return.

Is Jung Kook Going On Tour?

So far, Jung Kook has yet to officially confirm a world tour, or even a tour. However, the Korean artist has been performing all over the world since making his solo debut in July, and was recently added to September 2023’s Global Citizen Festival lineup as a co-headliner.

“I’m so thrilled to join this year’s Global Citizen Festival as a headliner!” Jung Kook shared in a statement. “The festival sheds light on important causes and drives action and I’m happy to take part in it. I can’t wait to perform in front of many people at the Great Lawn in Central Park.”

On top of that, fans are convinced that the BTS star will make a tour announcement soon after Spotify tagged Jung Kook as “On Tour” on his artist profile — but some internet users pointed out that it could also be a reference to his appearance at the Global Citizen Festival.

When Did Jung Kook Make His Solo Debut?

ICYMI, Jung Kook released “ Seven ,” along with several different versions of the song in July 2023. Following the song’s release, he told Variety he knew the first time he heard “Seven” that it was the perfect track for him.

“Upon hearing ‘Seven,’ I thought, ‘This is it,'” he told the outlet. “After that, I focused on practicing and recording the track multiple times to perfect it. I hope that many people can feel as I felt when I first heard the song.”

Producers  Andrew Watt  and  Cirkut worked on the songwriting and producing for “Seven,” which Jung Kook explained he was “truly grateful” for. “As this is my first step forward in the spotlight as a solo artist, I want to show a more mature and grown version of myself,” he told Variety following the release of the track.

Following his highly-anticipated solo debut, ARMY (BTS fans) immediately started demanding more music, naturally.

“I’m working hard to release a solo album this year,” Jung Kook told Variety.  “It’s early to mention anything specific, but look forward to it!”

"Seven" is set to drop in July

Jungkook will officially be the next member of BTS to release solo music. Today, the vocalist, dancer, and recent Calvin Klein ambassador confirmed a new single on the way, titled “Seven.”

The number seven is important to the band, which is composed of seven members. While details are currently slim on how the the song will sound, a press release described the solo track as a “fun summer song.” “Seven” is set to drop on July 14th.

Shortly after the announcement, Jungkook went live on Weverse to share his excitement about the forthcoming release, saying, “It’s quite great, and I’m so excited.” In the livestream, he also confirmed that this single is just the beginning — according to translations from @ BTStranslation_ on Twitter, he shared, “I just want to let you know that I am working on my album, too.”

While Jungkook was known to also rap in earlier BTS projects, he excels as a vocalist — solo tracks within the BTS canon like “Euphoria” and “My Time” land in the pop-R&B space. Jungkook also directed the music video for the band’s 2020 single “Life Goes On,” and he has contributed over the years to songwriting and production efforts from the group.

Jungkook’s solo album will follow projects from bandmates j-hope , RM , Jimin , and SUGA , the last of whom just wrapped a world tour with two dates in Seoul. Meanwhile, BTS members Jin and j-hope are working on completing their mandatory service period in the South Korean military, with the remaining members expected to follow suit before the end of 2023.

Suga will become the first BTS member to embark on a solo tour, with a slate of dates scheduled around the world this spring, including a U.S. run. The tour is notably being billed under Suga ’s own name, as well as his other stage moniker, Agust D.

The trek will kick off with two shows at the UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York — outside New York City — on April 26 and 27. Suga will then play one show in Newark, New Jersey, three in Rosemont, Illinois (just outside of Chicago), and three in Los Angeles. The U.S. leg wraps with two gigs in Oakland on May 16 and 17.

While all seven members of BTS are exploring solo projects right now (and completing their mandatory military service ), Suga has been ahead of the curve for a few years now. Back in 2016, he released a debut self-titled mixtape as Agust D, then followed that project up in 2020 with another mixtape, D-2 . Suga’s also done a bunch of production work for other artists recently, including Psy , the Japanese singer Ømi, and his BTS bandmate Jung Kook.

BTS ‘s Jungkook made his long-awaited solo debut on July 14, 2023, and his song “Seven” featuring American rapper and singer Latto quickly became a certified global hit.

As he’s traveled the world to promote the new track, interviewed with various global media outlets, and discussed his future plans, many fans have wanted to know if he’ll follow in the footsteps of fellow member Suga and embark on a solo world tour of his own.

Recently, a clip of American television and radio personality Ryan Seacrest caught fans’ attention as he seemed to answer the question when he introduced Jungkook’s “Seven” on his radio show, American Top 40 With Ryan Seacrest .

Seacrest started by saying,

So, Jungkook said in a Q&A the other day that he would love to do a world tour, but he doesn’t feel ready for it yet because he doesn’t have enough songs to perform. — Ryan Seacrest

His next statement caused a stir of excitement among netizens, as he seemed to hint that Jungkook would indeed be embarking on a solo tour when he releases his solo album.

So after his album releases, watch out for his tour announcement because he’s hitting the road once he’s got a set list ready. — Ryan Seacrest

While many expressed their excitement, some netizens were skeptical about Seacrest’s statement, believing Jungkook’s interview answer was misinterpreted or “ overanalyzed. ”

Here is what Jungkook has actually said about the matter.

During his Suchwita episode with BTS’s Suga, Jungkook directly addressed his future plans, revealing that he would be releasing another solo single after “Seven” and a “ small mini-album ” by November.

More recently, Jungkook touched on the subject of a potential world tour in his Ask Anything Chat interview, which was likely the same interview Seacrest was referencing on his radio show, as both shows are affiliated with iHeartRadio .

In response to an ARMY’s question about whether he would go on a world tour, Jungkook said,

I don’t have plans just yet, but of course if I can, I do want to. And you need a lot of songs. So even though I don’t have plans just yet, I do have the desire to have a tour. I guess that’s it. — BTS’s Jungkook

Based on Jungkook’s own response, nothing is currently set in stone, but he did express the desire to go on tour.

As many ARMYs have stated, they’ll only believe possible future tour news if it comes from BIGHIT MUSIC or the BTS members themselves.

BTS' Jungkook Sets Official Release Date for Debut Solo Album

Another BTS is looking to launch his solo album later this year and fans are already anticipating the new project. Jungkook has set an official summer release date for his long-awaited debut solo album.

This past weekend, South Korean news outlet Sports Chosun reported that Jungkook will be dropping the album in July. Big Hit Music confirmed to Star News that although a release date has been set a plan is not set in stone, “We will make an announcement once the release schedule for Jungkook’s solo album has been confirmed.” Despite having to wait for his solo debut album, Jungkook has been keeping busy releasing a number of solo tracks over the years.
