Kuala Lumpur is a fast-paced yet spiritual, an urban jungle with wide expanses of greenery and beauty. A melting pot of cultures, everywhere you go in this city you will find influences of Malay, Indian, Thai and Chinese cultures. These influences are present in the architecture of prominent buildings, the food, lifestyle, and language of the people. However, The best thing about KL is that it has something for everyone - whether you are old or young, traveling with children or on Business, or if you like Art or food.   Most tourists who travel to the city, first make a beeline for the fabled Petronas Towers. The observation deck in the tower lets you absorb sweeping views of the city. A pro tip is to visit the skyscraper in the evening to see the city lights twinkling in the dark and watch the city come alive as the night falls. If you are traveling with children, then the beautiful Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park should be at the top of your list. This park is spread over 80,000 square feet with over 5000 butterflies and exotic plants and ferns to see and admire.   KL is also home to beautiful temples of different religions and faiths. The Thean Hou Temple, attracts locals and visitors alike every day. It is a six-tiered temple of the Chinese Sea Goddess Mazu. The design of this temple has elements of Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism and the structure looks grandiose with imposing pillars, spectacular roofs, ornate carvings, and intricate embellishments. The temple, particularly, makes for great instagrammable photos at night. Another majestic temple that is a favorite with tourists is the oldest Hindu temple of the city called Sri Mahamariamman Temple. The temple dates back to 1873 and is built in the style of South Indian temples. When you tour a city, an understanding of its history and culture is essential. To get a peek into KL’s history and culture, visit the National History Museum and the Islamic Arts Museum. The National Textile Museum is also an interesting stop as you go museum hopping. This museum sits next to the stunning Sultan Abdul Samad Building which houses important ministry offices. After a city tour, take a step closer to nature as you visit the Batu Caves which are made of Limestone and where you can watch monkeys happily at play. After a long day of sightseeing, spend a few hours at the Lake Gardens. The gardens are spread over acres of land and is home to the Perdana Botanical Gardens, Bird park, and Sculpture garden. Here are a few attractions that you shouldn’t miss on your Kuala Lumpur sightseeing expedition:

• Petronas Twin Towers:

These gigantic towers are arguably the first stop in any Kuala Lumpur travel package and for nothing are they called the Twin Jewels of Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Lumpur tourism. Until 2004, these towers inspired by Islamic art are amongst the world’s tallest buildings. These mammoth structures are not only a triumph of modern architecture but also of the human spirit. The towers are joined together by a double-decker Sky Bridge and the view from the bridge is jaw-dropping.

• Lake Gardens - Tun Abdul Razak Heritage Park:

With your Kuala Lumpur travel package, keep at least half a day to fully explore the extensive Lake Gardens. The lush rolling terrain houses the Perdana Botanical Garden, where one can get a sight of the flora of the region. The KL Bird Park is quite popular with the locals and the tourists alike. Also, one of the best museums in the country- The National Museum is also situated here. The museum lets the visitors know about the history of the country, from prehistoric to present-day. The most famed attraction in the museum is the replica of the 11,000-year-old Perak Man, which is considered Malaysia’s most important archaeological discovery. The Lake Gardens has a children’s adventure park which is quite popular.

• Batu Caves:

The Batu Caves is an important landmark in Kuala Lumpur tourism. All you will do is gape at the 400 million years old limestone hills and wonder how things were during that age. The three large caves and numerous smaller ones are where the magic lies. A 100-year-old Hindu temple, with idols of deities erected inside the main caves, attract devotees and tourists alike. The most popular cavern at the Batu Caves is the Cathedral Cavern. Cathedral is not to be confused with Christianity but is named so because of the 100-metre arched ceiling that houses many Hindu shrines. The Art Gallery and the Museum Cave give a sneak peek into the Hindu aspect of the Malaysian culture.

• Sultan Abdul Samad Building:

This glorious building is a reminder of Kuala Lumpur’s colonial past. This Moorish-style building was built in 1897 and was named after the reigning sultan of Selangor at that time. This building now is used as the office of the Ministry of Information, Communications, and culture of Malaysia.

• Masjid Jamek Sultan Abdul Samad:

This important place of worship is unlike most other mosques and is a major attraction in Kuala Lumpur trip packages. It was designed by the British architect AB Hubback and draws inspiration from Mogul and Moorish styles. The splendid minarets are brick and plaster and have onion-shaped domes. The mosque is located at the confluence of the Gombak and Klang rivers which makes the surroundings quite scenic. Admire the mosque or take a walk in the gardens, you cannot help but get amazed by a spiritual feeling.

• Aquaria KLCC:

Get bowled over by this oceanarium that sprawls over 60,000 feet and is a must-visit attraction on Kuala Lumpur holiday packages as well as Kuala Lumpur honeymoon packages. Visitors can experience the staggering variety of marine species through a 300 feet tunnel. The purpose of this sea journey is not only to showcase the 5,000 varieties of aquatic creatures but also to educate them on Malaysian marine life.

• Menara Kuala Lumpur:

Get ready to absorb the best panoramic views of this bustling city atop the Menara. The Sky Box is a glass box that allows you to capture the breath-taking view of the surrounding areas.

• Indulge in Malaysian Cuisine at Hutong:

Housed inside the Lot 10 Mall, Hutong is a food court that celebrates Malaysian cuisine at its best as a Kuala Lumpur vacation package is incomplete without its cuisine. The food court has the best street food vendors who lay out a sumptuous feast of the unique Malaysian dishes reflecting strong influences from the many ethnic communities that live here.

This includes a passport with at least six months validity, return flight reservation, boarding pass, bank statements of the last 3 months, and proof of accommodation in Malaysia. Additionally, all foreign nationals visiting Malaysia need to fill up the required data on the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) online at the JIM portal. Great tour! Good combination of nature and city, easy days and active days. Lots of travelling days, which was the only downside, but that’s the only way to do all that we did.

This trip was absolutely amazing. The guide went out of his way to assist, and he loved spending time with us and giving us the best experience possible. He knew the places we visited inside out. With 3 country in 2 weeks, all very different for each other, the tour didn't feel rushed at all, and there was plenty of time to chill. The Thai southern coast is especially stunning. Highly recommended!

The whole trip was excellent. We have a question that we have forwarded to Trafalger with no response. Why did we have to pay room charges when we first arrived at the hotel? We had been travelling for nearly 24 hours and needed to have access to our room but we had to pay!! Also as we finished the tour a day earlier and did not have the farewell meal or stay the final night are we not due a refund?

What people love about Kuala Lumpur Tours

Embarking on the "Jungle Hikes & Island Nights" group journey from Bangkok to Singapore was an adventure of a lifetime, magnificently organized and flawlessly executed. From start to finish, the expedition was a resounding success, thanks to impeccable planning and an itinerary that promised—and delivered—an extraordinary experience. The locations we explored were nothing short of spectacular, offering us a diverse palette of experiences that ranged from the serenity of lush jungles to the vibrant nightlife on picturesque islands. The balance between exhilarating hikes and lively parties was just right, ensuring that every day was filled with new adventures and opportunities to create lasting memories. A significant part of this trip's charm was the fantastic group of fellow travelers I had the fortune to journey with. It's rare to find such a harmonious blend of personalities and backgrounds, but we clicked instantly, transforming a group of strangers into lifelong friends. The camaraderie that developed amongst us added a whole new layer of enjoyment to the experience. A special shoutout is deserved for our CEO, Fon, whose expertise, passion, and warm personality made her not just a guide, but a true friend. Her dedication to ensuring that we all had an incredible time was evident in every aspect of the trip. Fon, you are a gem, and your efforts were genuinely appreciated by all of us! However, no adventure is without its lessons. The pace of the tour, while exhilarating, sometimes felt a bit rushed. Extending the itinerary by a day or two could provide a more relaxed pace, allowing for some much-needed rest days amidst the action-packed schedule. For travelers like myself, towering over 185cm, be prepared for a squeeze, especially on the night trains which proved to be quite the challenge. An additional note for future adventurers: consider booking an extra night in Singapore to fully explore the wonders this city has to offer. The tour's conclusion in Singapore feels like just the beginning of another adventure waiting to be discovered. In summary, the "Jungle Hikes & Island Nights" trip from Bangkok to Singapore was an unforgettable journey filled with incredible sights, sounds, and experiences. While there's room for minor adjustments, the overall experience was profoundly impactful, leaving us with memories to cherish for a lifetime. To those seeking adventure, camaraderie, and a touch of magic, this journey comes highly recommended.
This trip had just about everything: Temples, natural beauty, animals, food, etc. Nice balance of relaxation and excitement. This was one of the best tours ever in terms of included activities and food. Wonderful guide too! (Alif)
