About the Author

Michael Newton, PhD, held a doctorate in Counseling Psychology, was a certified Master Hypnotherapist, and was a member of the American Counseling Association. He was also on the faculty of higher educational institutions as a teacher while active in private practice in Los Angeles. Over many years, Dr. Newton developed his own intensive age regression techniques in order to effectively take hypnosis subjects beyond their past life memories to a more meaningful soul experience between lives. He is considered to be a pioneer in uncovering the mysteries about life after death through the use of spiritual hypnotic regression. He trained other advanced hypnotherapists in his techniques.

Absolutely fascinating

When my friend recommended this book to me I was a little hesitant. I have believed in reincarnation for the last 20 years of my life, but have never thought much about past life regressions. This books goes beyond the past life syndrome and takes the reader to the life between lives. I didn't want it to end and I ended up getting his next book Destiny of Souls. You won't be disappointed. It is absolutely fascinating.

I loved this story

This book gave me glimpses into worlds I had never dreamed of. Some of it resonates with me, other parts seem too far out for me to believe, but I enjoy thinking about the possibilities anyway. The main part of the book that really resonates with me is that we are all parts of soul groups that gather between lives to help each other learn and grow. That point of view makes so many "coincidences" and circumstances of my life make more sense. It's helpful to me to hear more about this process from others. To me, because this information was gathered from many others using hypnosis, it represents a message from the collective unconscious.

After listening to all of Teri Uktena’s pod casts, taking her classes on the Akashic records, and asking her to guide me to meet my spirit guides, I dug into Michael Newton’s research. The book explained many odd encounters I’ve had over the years plus solidified my belief system. I hope many more souls find their way to his work.

my favorite book of all time

This book has changed my life in the most positive way. I now understand the meaning of life and what is beyond this life. I am no longer afraid of death and this book has changed the grieving process of death entirely for me. I have lost 4 close people in my life since reading this book and I became very ill a few months after reading myself and almost passed away but without fear. all of the stories in this book were like a reminder to me. I resonated with all of it and it felt like home. I purchased all off his other LBL books since and have watched all the documentaries. I can't get enough. I am a member of an LBL group and plan on doing at least one session. I cannot recommend this book nearly as high as it deserves. it is a true God send and I am so blessed to have had someone care about me enough to suggest it. I'd give it 20,000 stars if I could!

Life changing - true glimpse of our souls activities between lives

Because he obtained the info from interviewing thousands of people under hypnosis asking them about what they think and do between lives, I find it rings true very deeply in me and I find it comforting to see how challenging and even seemingly awful life events are used and even chosen by our souls before our life begins to further “schooling”/“soul development”. This book, like no other, explains why bad things happen and are used for good ends by us. Great voice narrating and I use book audio over and over to fall asleep with positive comforting truth

A Must Read! Audio Horribly Narrated!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

For Anyone who may wonder about afterlife, the soul, true self, what follows the earthly experience. Confirms we are indestructible beings of light.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator detracted in a massive way. I could only handle it in pieces, as the vocal tonality is so utterly wrong for this book. Torturous is the word. No need for the repetitive Dr. N, Subject, Pause... every second. This detracts from spiritualizing the reader.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. But I could read it in one sitting. No Audio.

Any additional comments?

I would use a different voice, possibly a soothing, intelligent speaker that is spiritualized.
