22 Rallies In 6 Days: How PM Modi Will Lead BJP's Poll Campaign In Karnataka

The prime minister returns back to the state next week for a two-day visit.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hit the BJP campaign in the battleground of Karnataka this weekend.

The major highlight of PM Modi's busy campaign schedule will be the massive roadshow in Bengaluru on Saturday. However, over the next fortnight, or so, the PM Modi is expected to hold as many as 22 rallies across the state.

While the final schedule is being drawn up, sources have told ANI that during his six-day visit for the campaign, the BJP's biggest star campaigner will hold close to 22 rallies. On each visit, PM Modi will be holding more than three rallies.

"BJP is extremely confident of doing well in the Karnataka election but the moment Prime Minister Narendra Modi hits battleground. It is a different game altogether. There is no bigger momentum for our party campaign to peak," A senior party official tells ANI.

As per the sources on 29th April, Modi will address rallies in Humnabad, Vijayapura, Kudachi and Bengaluru North. The following day on 30th April PM Modi will be doing rallies in Kolar, Channapattna and Belur.

The prime minister returns back to the state next week for a two-day visit. On 2nd May he is scheduled to hold public meetings in Chitradurga, Vijayanagara, Sindhanur, and Kalaburgi. Public meetings are to be held in Moodabidri, Karwar, and Kittur on 3rd May.

As per the sources on 6th May PM Modi is to be in Chittapur, Nanjangud, Tumakuru Rural, Bengaluru South. On the penultimate day before the close of the campaign, 4 rallies will be addressed by PM Modi on 7th May. These will be in Badami, Haveri, Shivamogga Rural and Bengaluru Central.

The saffron party which is seeking a win again in the southern state will be pitching on the formula of double engine growth government- state and centre as it seeks votes for the Assembly polls. Karnataka has been one of the oldest organisations for the BJP.

In the run-up to the state polls, BJP has announced central minister Dharmendra Pradhan as its election incharge. Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and TN BJP chief Annamalai are the co-in charges.

CM Basvaraj Bommai is heading the party's campaign committee. The election management committee is being convened by union minister Shobha Karandlaje.

PM Modi will pass through localities like Kadam Kuan, Fraser Road and Exhibition Road

Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead a roadshow in Patna on Sunday evening, followed by three election rallies in other parts of Bihar on Monday. Traffic regulations have been imposed in Patna as part of the Prime Minister's arrival. Security arrangements have been tightened across Patna as the PM-led event will pass through many crowded parts of the capital city.

Modi has already held as many as seven election rallies in the state where the total number of Lok Sabha seats is 40.

Here are five things residents of Patna need to know about Sunday's BJP roadshow:

1. Foolproof security arrangements are in place across Patna. A complete ban on drones is imposed in the capital city.

2. Vehicular movement will remain suspended on the roadshow route, Senior Superintendent of Police Rajeev Mishra confirmed. The roadshow will pass through localities including Kadam Kuan, Fraser Road, Exhibition Road and Sahitya Sammelan.

3. The roadshow will commence at the Income Tax office roundabout, situated a few hundred metres from the state BJP headquarters, and conclude at Udyog Bhavan in the vicinity of Gandhi Maidan.

4. Most commercial establishments along the roadshow route are expected to remain closed. Barricades have been erected on both sides and security personnel would be deployed on rooftops of selected buildings.

5. After the roadshow, the Prime Minister is scheduled to retire for the night at the Raj Bhavan.

Prime Minister Modi's schedule for Monday, May 13

On Monday, Prime Minister Modu is scheduled to visit Takht Harmandir, the famous Sikh shrine situated in the old city area, where Guru Gobind Singh was born and spent his childhood.

He will, thereafter, hit the campaign trail and address election rallies in Hajipur, where BJP ally Chirag Paswan is in the fray, besides Muzaffarpur and Saran, which is witnessing a heated contest between saffron party veteran Rajiv Pratap Rudy and Rohini Acharya, daughter of RJD president Lalu Prasad.

PM Modi interview: ‘People tired of family-first politics,’ PM claims saffron sweep in South India

Prime minister narendra modi discusses bjp's performance in non-bjp states and south india, emphasizing service to all indians. he criticizes corruption and dynastic politics in southern states, highlighting the need for change..

Before the fourth phase of polling, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held discussions with Hindustan Times' s R Sukumar, Shishir Gupta, and Sunetra Choudhury regarding the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) performance in non-BJP states and South India .

Speaking on what needs to be done to gain power in the Southern states, PM Modi said that we (BJP) do not subscribe to a mindset of conquest. “We are working with a feeling of service towards 140 crore Indians. For us, every part of India has to be served," he added.

Modi stressed that the BJP's connection with the people of South India, including Tamil Nadu and Kerala, is not new. “We’ve dedicated ourselves to serving the people there, regardless of whether we are in government or not. Our karyakartas have been working selflessly for decades, many even sacrificed their lives in the process," the PM said.

Problems of South

PM Modi explained that people are tired of the corruption, appeasement, and family-first politics of the INDI Alliance seen in various southern states.

He said, “In Andhra Pradesh, there is a breakdown of governance threatening the future of the youth in the state."

“In Telangana and Karnataka, too, a nexus of corruption has been established with Congress in the lead. In a matter of a few months, Congress has managed to hollow out the public treasury and bring the states closer to a state of bankruptcy," the PM said, adding, “Same is the case in Tamil Nadu, where there is corruption and dynastic politics."

It is to be further noted that PM Modi has undertaken approximately 20 trips this year to five southern states: Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana. Collectively, these states account for roughly a quarter of the 543 seats in the lower house of parliament.

Of particular focus for Modi is Tamil Nadu, the southernmost state, where the BJP failed to secure any of the 39 seats in the 2019 election. During a recent visit to Tamil Nadu, Modi donned the traditional white silk veshti and utilized artificial intelligence software to translate his speeches from Hindi to Tamil in real time.

The PM highlighted the ‘Modi ki Guarantee’, saying, “On the other hand, people have witnessed how effectively Modi ki Guarantee works. They have seen our work, our commitment to their well-being, and our dedication to bring inclusive development, clean governance, and transparency. This time around, our performance will be unprecedented."

“I see a strong sense of positivity and enthusiasm for the BJP . Our message of development and progress is resonating strongly with the people of South India," PM Modi further added.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, out of the 127 seats across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, and the Union Territory of Lakshadweep, the BJP managed to secure only 29 seats. Among these, 25 were won in Karnataka and four in Telangana. However, during that election cycle, the party did not secure any seats in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, or Andhra Pradesh.
