Le club et son histoire

Crée le 10 janvier 2001, le Tours Gymnastique Club rattaché à la fédération UFOLEP (Union Française des Œuvres Laïques et d’Éducation Populaire) était à l’origine un club exclusivement masculin. Petit à petit, il s’est développé. Aujourd’hui, le TGC a plusieurs sections : ufobaby, éveil, loisirs (enfants, ados, adultes), gymnastique artistique masculine et féminine.

Pour cette année 2023-2024, le club compte environ 200 licenciés. Les entraînements se font sur deux sites : le gymnase François Clouet à Tours Nord et celui du Hallebardier à Tours Centre. Afin d’assurer les entraînements de tous les gymnastes, bénévoles et entraîneurs salariés travaillent main dans la main afin de garantir le meilleur encadrement possible.
