Hi, I called into Batters travell in Cork city centre this morning to inquire about a family holiday, there were three ladies at different desks, one was dealing with a customer and the other two were on calls. I stood at a waiting area inside the door opposite one lady until she finished her call, it took about 5 mins. Right I said she will call me now but no she didn't recognise me just took out a file and made another call , at this point I left. I thought the least she could have done was to let me know when or if I would be dealt with. In this age of online holidays, the high street travel agent would be happy to deal with a potential customer, but I guess not in this cave anyway. Regards Martin O Sullivan.

BARTERS Trying to get a handle on a UK company (Insight Vacations) that operates continental coach tours and whose Irish agent has recently gone belly up, I called into Barter's in Patrick Street. Straightaway, the friendly lady I met put me right and contacted the company concerned. The phone line did break down and rather than keep me waiting she said she'd try again and then get in touch with me about a Spanish/Portuguese trip later in the year. She was as good as her word and, even before I reached home, she'd left a message on my voice mail. The deal isn't done yet but this is very good service indeed.

As of Monday 22nd January 2024, all business operations, including the renowned Pilgrim Tours of Premier Travel, have seamlessly transitioned to Barter’s Travelnet located at 92 Patrick Street, Cork. The acquisition will expand Barter’s Travelnet’s established presence in the market and provide more customers with exceptional service.

Premier Travel was a well-established travel agency with a strong reputation for customer service, and a focus on its renowned Pilgrim Tours.
