Tour guide was very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions we had throughout the tour. Felt very safe and guided during our stay in Canggu and Ubud. I do feel that if you are naturally a quieter member of the group, it was sometimes hard to be noticed or your needs met. Encouraged us to partake in activities that he felt as a group we would enjoy, which we all appreciated. However, did feel that the tour guides attitude changed once in Gili T. I understand it is a more relaxed and holiday vibe island.

The tour was an excellent, fast way to explore the basics of Bali!

Overall the tour was great, lots of variety of places to see and very good accomodation. The one downside was the "optional activities" that were offered while en-route. I was physically unable to do a couple, which meant waiting by the transport until everyone returned, and some days there were too many options. On other tours options are usually offered once we arrived at our destination. The age limit in the notes was up to 90 years old, and I doubt anyone of that age could do some of the challenging climbs etc. The trip notes were incorrect for Gili islands, stating little electricy, fresh water & basic accomodation. The tour is now done from Gili T (& has been for 5 years) which was very modern with lots to do. The incorrect trip notes would put many people off of this tour.

Great trip. Small group well planned itinerary. Little tiring long hot days. Wish the guides could speak better English and little more articulate. Couldn’t hear as we are senior citizens. Guides need to be more clean and should take care personal hygiene. Stinky breath and body odor was a bit too much.

I absolutely loved everything about volunteering with pmgy!! I did childcare volunteering for 5 weeks! I extended my time as I was living it so much! It’s like a big family, they help you with everything and truly care! the rooms are comfortable and the food is really nice although a bit repetitive. We extended our visas and the process was easy with pmgy. The volunteering was so much fun and the kids are the best, so eager to learn making it feel so rewarding. PMGY is a very trustable company with assistance available at all times. I did two projects in Southeast Asia and had the best time. I started with the medical program in Vietnam; it was nice to experience the way of working in the hospital there, but I think this program would be better for students at the beginning of their study. There is not a lot to do and the doctors do not always have time to explain what is going on with patients or to answer your questions. After this project, I went to Bali to do the English teaching program which was the best thing I have done so far! The people were amazing, the weekend trips well organized but most importantly: the project definitely made a difference for the community. The kids were really happy to see you and they were eager to learn. I am thankful that I got to experience this!

Hyatt’s Commission Statement Hyatt hotels and resorts will pay 10% commission to approved travel agencies for all Eligible Rates worldwide. “ Eligible Rates ” means certain rate plans communicated to Travel Advisor as commissionable.  The Eligible Rate applies to the portion of the room rate paid by the guest. Commission does not apply to incidentals, taxes, mandatory fees, e.g. resort fees or gratuities. Special discounted rates for travel advisors are non-commissionable.

Commissions for stays at Hyatt’s hotels and resorts will be paid for each night stayed at an Eligible Rate, up to the first 29 consecutive nights of a guest’s stay. Contrary to the various measures taken all over the world to minimise tourist numbers for preserving ecosystems as well as liveability for local populations, several spots in Spain are installing giant benches in a bid to encourage visitors seeking out the best shots.

Marseille in France has restricted access to some of its famous calanques, Bali (Indonesia) introduced an entry fee in February, Amsterdam (the Netherlands) recently decided to no longer authorise the opening of new hotels, the Galapagos Islands introduced a tourist quota, Venice is now taxing day-trip tourists ... In recent years, many destinations around the world have introduced new measures to keep tourist populations in check and reduce the harmful effects of overtourism, both on the environment and on daily life of local residents.

In contrast to the measures taken by the city of Amsterdam, which even limits the number of arrivals at Schiphol airport, some municipalities in Spain’s Andalusia are hoping to attract more visitors and are even taking steps to facilitate their photo opportunities. In this case, the initiative takes the format of giant benches that offer higher, raised levels that offer a privileged view of a panorama, giving them the opportunity to optimise their shots.

Travellers may feel like they’ve stumbled into a surreal, fairytale-like setting when they find themselves climbing up a meter high on the bench set up in Manilva, a seaside resort located between Marbella and Gibraltar. As reported by TheMayor.eu, a portal dedicated to covering issues concerning European cities and citizens, the Andalusian municipality knows that visibility on social media is crucial to attracting visitors, which is the rationale behind the idea for this unusual public bench.

And this is not an isolated project in Andalusia. Numerous similar installations have sprung up between Gibraltar and Marbella. Visitors can climb giant benches in Benahavis, Arriate, Istan and Archez. At Jubrique, every effort is made to ensure that visitors understand the site, where a 3m-high, 2m-long bench is located.
