Top airlines flying from Belfast City to Plymouth

The first leg of my 2 flights were delayed, causing me to miss my second flight and have to stay the whole night in Dublin. Super upset with this experience, and I still need to figure out how to get compensated for this.

Long unexplained delay, uncomfortable back row, long waits for trash collection.

I fly to the USA every 6wks on Ave and 99% of the time I fly Aer Lingus. If I fly BA I’m always disappointed. My only criticism is the food. I’m vegan and over the last year it’s got slightly better these last couple of flights but on the whole it’s not good! Salad and fruit salad for breakfast and that’s also the starter and desert for the lunch/dinner and the main is usually rice with fried veg 😳the pasta is pretty good though. That’s been the last 2 meals…. Everything else is fantastic.

The flight was half full and I presume that the next few days are even less busy not sure why they are still charging a premium to change a flight.

Short flight so not much to rate. Surprised I had to pay for a soda.

Nice to be on a flight that wasn't fully booked so there were only two of us in the three seat row.

the room on the plane was good but that is because flight not sold the other three seat and I had room. the food in terrible.

First the price I paid was excellent, my flight was full, but my seat was roomy. The one downside to the experience was they had games on the entertainment console. The guy behind me poked at my head about half the flight. I hope they get rid of this feature.

Delayed due to weather... fine. But then the board us. Rows 15 and back had to go down the stairs and back up the back stair entrance to the plane. No assistance offered. Then they inform us that we are delayed for paperwork for an hour. So why did we board? Then, about 45min later they inform us that it'll be another 60-90mins. Really? No wifi, no seat entertainment, no drink or snacks offered. And we were not allowed to deboard.

Very good need to offer better choice of food for business

Food could have been better. It was much better on the LHR to SFO leg than on the return leg.

BA experiences are seldom great these days. As has become the norm for BA, the flight departed late and arrived late at its destination. Very little difference these days between BA and the so called budget airlines.

Everything was fine, on the first leg of my journey from Manchester to London. But, as happened on my outbound journey from the US, there were immense problems. The plane was delayed more than 2 1/2 hours which led to me missing my connecting flight in the US. No hotels were available and I was forced after a 25 hour journey to take a bus to my house. Just unacceptable.

The flight was on time, the plane was at the gate, and then the excuses started. First, it was a part that was needed, then it was short on staff, but they're due to arrive soon, and finally cancellation. Two large triple 7 planes to London were both canceled, leading to over 600 people looking for another flight, which of course was impossible. I had a one week holiday and was forced to spend two nights in hotels in Chicago. Just appalling. I doubt I will ever use American Airlines again.

we departed 5 hours late. Instead of 10pm it was after 2AM and the business lounge thew us out at 1AM and everyone was standing around the boarding gates. When we did board, the crew was nice, served dinner and then was not to be seen again until we landed. No breakfast (which is not great for diabetes)

Cancelling our flight, and our entire vacation was a bummer. Would not recommend.

Flight was 4.5 hours late leaving New Orleans. Food wasted. Couldn't serve dinner. Missed our connection

The flight was very late. They had us stand in the jet bridge (no seats or air) for a very long time after delaying boarding well over an hour to not time out. The plane was still not cleaned from the flight before ours, so food and debris covered seats and rested in chair pockets. Staff was very rude.

Horrible. Never again. Wouldn’t let us use the lounge. We had to pay for another lounge to have access.

We were on flight for 7 hrs and there was no WiFi. Not really easy to use any of our electronics. Def not ideal

Leeds’ Championship fixtures: Full 2024-25 schedule and dates

LEEDS, ENGLAND - MAY 16: Ilia Gruev of Leeds United celebrates after scoring a goal to make it 1-0 during the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Semi-Final 2nd Leg match between Leeds United and Norwich City at Elland Road on May 16, 2024 in Leeds, England.(Photo by Robbie Jay Barratt - AMA/Getty Images)

Leeds United will begin their Championship campaign at home to newly promoted Portsmouth .

The final day will bring a lengthy trip away to Plymouth Argyle in early day, while on Boxing Day Daniel Farke’s side will travel to Stoke City.

The first five games of the season bring a mixed bag for Leeds. After hosting Portsmouth, they will travel to West Bromwich Albion who finished in the play-off places along with Leeds last season and will have ambitions of promotion this year.

Leeds will then face Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough before hosting Hull City at the end of August. A good test awaits in their first match in September after the international break when they host relegated Burnley .

As Farke’s team target promotion again this year the final cluster of games — against Oxford (A), Stoke (H), Bristol City (H) and Argyle (A) look favourable on paper. But, as the slip in form at the end of last season showed Leeds, any team in the Championship can prove to be a potential banana skin on their day.

Other fixtures to look out for that are bound to bring tasty atmospheres are the two matches against Derby County , both in December, and Sheffield United (at home in November and away in February).

Leeds’ first game of the season has been selected for live broadcast in the UK. Their TV picks up until the end of September will be confirmed in the next week, with the picks up until the FA Cup third round to be confirmed before the new season kicks off.

Key dates for the 2024-25 season

The transfer window officially opened on Friday, June 14, with the infamous cut-off date for the 2023-24 profit and sustainability rules (PSR) reporting period coming at the end of the month on June 30. The window closes on Friday, August 30, at 11pm BST (6pm ET).

The winter transfer window will open on Wednesday, January 1, closing on Monday, February 3.

The new Championship season gets underway on the weekend of August 9-11, the same week as the Community Shield. That game will be another Manchester derby and a replay of last season’s FA Cup final.

The Championship season finishes on Saturday, May 3, when all 12 fixtures will be played at the same time.

Championship clubs will enter the FA Cup at the third round, which begins on Saturday, January 11.

The Carabao Cup will begin in mid-August with Premier League teams not playing in Europe entering in the second round, alongside Burnley and Luton Town, and the remaining seven clubs receiving a bye to the third round. The first and second rounds will continue to be regionalised, with Leeds in the 38-team northern section drawn against another side from that section.

Belfast International Airport issues important advice to passengers on liquids rules

D espite upcoming changes to the security process, passengers are advised that the rules at Belfast International around liquids in hand luggage remain the same and people should come prepared as they normally would, an airport spokesperson said.

This means that people still need to remove liquids from their hand luggage and the limit remains at 100ml. They need to place liquids as usual in a clear plastic bag.

Belfast International Airport, a member of the VINCI Airports network, urged travellers to take heed of a few important tips to ensure a ‘seamless passenger experience from check in to take off’.

With a record 1.3 million passengers welcomed through Belfast International in the first quarter of 2024, significant numbers are expected on a daily basis during the busy summer months.

Dan Owens, CEO, Belfast International Airport said: “With work underway on our new additions to the terminal, we want to ensure passengers have an enjoyable experience before they jet off on holiday this year.

"We have recruited extra staff for the summer and are in the process of a major five-year investment programme which most recently saw the completion of a new immigration expansion area, increasing capacity by 50 per cent and improving processing times at the border.

"If you are planning to travel this summer, we strongly advise that passengers, come prepared with prebooked parking and ready for security, making sure any liquids are within the 100 ml limit. Following this advice will make a big difference for anyone travelling through the terminal.”

The airport has issued a five-point travel check list to help passengers move through the terminal with ease

Remove liquids

Remember, you can only take liquids in individual containers with a maximum capacity of 100ml on the plane. Each item should be removed from hand luggage and placed in a transparent, re-sealable plastic bag of not more than one litre capacity per passenger. Click here for hand luggage information.

Get set for security

Before reaching security, it’s a good idea to remove your laptop, tablet, or similar electronic devices from your hand luggage to be inspected separately. Coats, boots, jackets, and belts should also be removed to help speed up the process.

Book car parking in advance

To guarantee a parking space and get the best price book your car parking as early as possible in advance online. Passengers who arrive at the airport without having already booked parking cannot be guaranteed a space. Do not leave it to chance – book ahead.

Check travel documents and keep essentials handy

Make sure your tickets and boarding pass, travel insurance, driving licence, currency and credit cards are safe but easily accessible. It’s also mindful to carry a charger for your smartphone and have your airline information ready. Always double-check your travel documents including your passport expiration date as per country requirements and make sure you have the correct documentation ready at check-in.

Arrive on time

Check with your airline for the latest information on your flight and arrive when your airline advises. Belfast International recommends you arrive at the airport at least two hours before your flight departs.
