Def Leppard has shared a new video blog taking in the first three shows of the European leg of the band’s “The World Tour” with Mötley Crüe, which saw them touch down in Sheffield, United Kingdom (May 22); Mönchengladbach, Germany (May 25); and Munich, Germany (May 27).

In the video blog – which you can watch in full on the band’s official YouTube channel – vocalist Joe Elliott speaks of how it felt to return to the band’s native Sheffield to open the UK and European leg of “The World Tour” at the Bramall Lane Stadium – also home of his favorite football team, Sheffield United.

“I don’t live here anymore, but I was born here and Sav (Rick Savage) still lives here, so there’s always a huge connection,” Elliott muses.

“It’s been an insane ten days here. Piano room performances, the [gig at] the Leadmill, book signings, record signings and rehearsals. It’s really been a hardcore 10 days and what a way to nail it – we got promoted tonight, just like Sheffield United just got promoted back to the Premier League!”

Following on from “The World Tour’s European leg, Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe will team up with Alice Cooper for a U.S. mini-tour this summer. The trek will kick off on August 5 in Syracuse, New York and include stops in the Midwest before concluding in El Paso, Texas on August 18.

Just prior to the UK and European leg of “The World Tour”, Def Leppard released Drastic Symphonies , the much-anticipated new album which sees the legendary rockers teaming up with the UK’s widely-renowned Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

The new album finds some of the band’s best-loved songs deconstructed and rebuilt with the majestic accompaniment of the iconic orchestra. However, while the record largely presents the original audio of Leppard classics, newly combined with the RPO, Drastic Symphonies also includes new vocals and guitars to create stunning new symphonic arrangements.

The album is now available on CD, 2LP black vinyl, limited edition 2LP colored vinyl, limited 2LP picture disc, CD/Blu-Ray (Atmos), and on digital platforms.

About Role Model

Role Model’s been in love. He was so in love he wrote his entire debut album Rx about it. But not all romances last forever, and the 27-year-old’s grieving of his last relationship is at the center of his sophomore album Kansas Anymore .

With over 45 million streams to date, Kansas Anymore is a folk-tinged, lyric driven album that encapsulates the warmth and comfort Role Model was seeking out when he wrote it. Featuring viral singles “Deeply Still in Love” and “Frances,” the album was a two year writing process, and includes production from Noah Conrad, Ian Fitchuk, Scott Harris and Jonah Shy.

Now 27, Role Model initially gained traction with a string of independent singles in 2017, receiving co-signs from Benny Blanco and the late legend Mac Miller. He unassumingly caught fire with projects such as the oh, how perfect and our little angel EPs. In 2021, “forever&more” racked up 60 million Spotify streams as OnesToWatch christened it “one of our favorite songs of the summer.” DIY pegged him among its “Class of 2022,” and he embarked on a massive world tour with stops at Coachella, Hangout Music Festival, Bonnaroo and more. After attaining hundreds of millions of streams and selling out headline shows, Role Model released his full-length debut album, Rx , in 2022, which earned acclaim from HYPEBEAST, Interview, FLAUNT, People, CLASH Magazine and more.

With his new album Kansas Anymore , Role Model is looking forward to playing these songs live, but more than anything, he’s embracing the sense of pride — and closure — he feels about making the album, about turning a personally heavy season of life into something that might move others. As rough as it was to ride that roller coaster of heartbreak and homesickness, Role Model feels these are the greatest songs he’s made yet.

Coldplay announce new UK tour dates in London and Hull - including world first for stadium show

Coldplay will play two dates in Hull and four in London, and in a world first for a stadium show, the Wembley concerts will be powered entirely by solar, wind and kinetic energy.

Coldplay have announced six UK shows for next year, and say they are the only gigs they will perform in Europe in 2025.

Two of the dates are in Hull - the first time the band have ever played in the city - with 50% of the tickets reserved for local fans.

Those with a HU, YO, DN or LN postcode will be able to buy tickets the evening before they go on general sale.

The remaining four dates are for Wembley Stadium in London.

In a world first for a stadium show, the Wembley gigs will be powered entirely by solar, wind and kinetic energy.

All the concerts are scheduled for August.

Tickets go on general sale at 9am on 27 September.

Fans who pre-order the band's new album, Moon Music, will gain access to a ticket pre-sale on the morning of 26 September.

Coldplay will also be making a limited number of affordable £20 tickets available via Ticketmaster on 22 November.

'It will stop venues closing'

The band added 10% of the proceeds from the gigs will go to Music Venue Trust, a UK charity that supports grassroots music venues.

Recent anger over the price of Oasis reunion tickets shooting up by hundreds of pounds after fans had waited for hours to buy them has highlighted excessive ticket costs at a time when many smaller venues are struggling to stay open.

The fury over dynamic pricing has led the government and the UK's competition watchdog to pledge they will investigate further .

Responding to Coldplay's donation, Mark Davyd, CEO of Music Venue Trust, said it was "fantastic" to see Coldplay "celebrating their own pathway to Wembley by giving back to the grassroots music venues that supported them".

He added: "The band's support really will stop venues closing, make tours happen and bring the joy of live music to thousands of people."

Kinetic flooring and power bikes

As well as solar, wind and kinetic energy powering the Wembley concerts, one of the satellite stages at each show will also be fully powered by energy generated by the audience via kinetic flooring and power bikes.

Coldplay have been touring their record-breaking Music Of The Spheres World Tour for two years and will be taking it to Australia later this year. It is the biggest tour by any group ever, according to Billboard.

In June, the eco-conscious band announced that the tour has so far produced 59% less CO2 emissions than their previous stadium tour in 2016/17.

They also revealed that 9 million trees have been planted, with a further million to be planted before the end of the year.

Tickets for the new shows go on sale on Friday, September 27th at 9am from here .

Coldplay's Music of the Spheres World Tour is their ongoing eighth concert tour, originally launched to promote their ninth album, Music of the Spheres, as well as their upcoming tenth album, Moon Music.

Much like their Mylo Xyloto Tour in 2011-12, the shows feature extensive pyrotechnics and confetti, but with modifications to minimize the carbon footprint. Notable innovations include the creation of a world-first mobile rechargeable show battery with BMW and a pledge to plant a tree for every ticket sold.

Coldplay Perform At Wembley Stadium

The tour kicked off at Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica in March 2022 and was previously set to run until Eden Park in New Zealand in November 2024.

The performances have received widespread praise from critics for Coldplay’s musicianship, stage presence, joyful energy, and impressive production. It is already the most-attended tour in history and the second-highest-grossing.

Coldplay have announced that they will perform eight stadium shows in London and Hull next year, signalling their only live UK and European performances for 2025.

The British pop-rock band, who headlined Glastonbury Festival in June , recently completed their huge 2024 European tour in support of their latest album, Music of the Spheres. The new dates will follow the release of their forthcoming 10th record, Moon Music, scheduled for release on 4 October.

Announcing the new shows on Tuesday (17 September), Coldplay revealed that 50 per cent of tickets to the band’s first ever shows in Hull would go to local fans with the postcodes HU, YO, DN or LN, when they go on sale via Ticketmaster and Seetickets at 9am on Friday 27 September.

A pre-sale will be open to fans who order Moon Music from the official Coldplay UK or EU stores; those who have already pre-ordered the album from the UK or EU store will be automatically eligible. The pre-sale begins at 9am on Thursday 26 September.

In a surprise for the music industry, Coldplay have also announced that 10 per cent of the band’s proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Music Venue Trust, a charitable organisation that supports UK grassroots music venues and emerging artists.

The band first shared the news by placing a poster in the window of the Dublin Castle in Camden, London, the scene of their first ever live gig in February 1988.

Social media users are speculating what this poster featured on Coldplay's Instagram stories could mean for Hull 👀 The band shared posters from their first ever gig at the Dublin Castle in 1998, when they were called The Coldplay with some extra notes. pic.twitter.com/SyW1P2DWTg — BBC East Yorkshire (@looknorthBBC) September 16, 2024

Donations to the Music Venue Trust will also be made by concert promoters SJM Concerts, Metropolis Music and Live Nation; the band’s booking agent WME; the venues Wembley Stadium and Hull Craven Park; and the official ticket agents, Ticketmaster , See Tickets and AXS.

Mark Davyd, CEO of the Music Venue Trust, said in a statement: “Coldplay are the perfect example of a UK band who came through the grassroots circuit on their way to worldwide stadium-filling success.

“It’s fantastic to see them celebrating their own pathway to Wembley by giving back to the grassroots music venues that supported them and recognising the artists and promoters that are struggling more than ever to build their own careers.

“Through our partnership with Save Our Scene – who introduced us to Coldplay last year – this money will go directly into work that ensures communities right across the country will continue to have access to great live music on their doorstep.”

Chris Martin performs during Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres world tour, 2024

He concluded: “The band’s support really will stop venues closing, make tours happen and bring the joy of live music to thousands of people. After months of discussing Coldplay’s potential support around these UK shows with them, we’re so happy and grateful that the news is finally out there!”

In another world first for a stadium show, Coldplay have pledged to power the production for their Wembley shows with 100 per cent solar, wind and kinetic energy, collected at the venue and elsewhere in the UK and delivered by a specially designed electric battery system.

In June, Coldplay revealed that their Music of the Spheres show had, at that point, produced 59 per cent less CO2e emissions than their previous stadium tour between 2016 to 2017.

The band have also overseen the planting of nine million trees, with a further one million to be planted before the end of the year.

Coldplay are expanding their sustainability efforts to their album: physical copies of Moon Music will be made from 100 per cent recycled plastic bottles.

Coldplay announces 2025 uk concerts. get tickets today.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin smiles while playing guitar.

Oasis isn’t the only hot ticket in the U.K. in 2025.

Coldplay just announced they’re striking out on a quick eight-concert run next summer as part of their ongoing ‘Music Of The Spheres World Tour’ aka “the biggest rock tour of all time” according to Billboard Boxscore .

The run will start with a pair of back-to-back gigs at Hull’s Craven Park on Aug. 18-19. After that, they’re slated to play six (!) shows at London’s Wembley Stadium .

“These are the only UK/European cities where the band will perform next year,” the seven-time Grammy winners shared via Instagram .

There is currently no word on whether or not Chris Martin and co. will perform in the U.S. in 2025; the last time the “The Scientist” band performed in North America was back in October 2023.

On Oct. 4, Coldplay is slated to release their tenth studio album “Moon Music.” The album’s two lead singles can be heard here.

Fans can purchase tickets for all upcoming Coldplay U.K. shows on sites like Vivid Seats; the official on-sale is Friday, Sept. 27.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

Coldplay U.K. tour schedule

A complete calendar including all tour dates, venues and links to buy tickets can be found below.

Coldplay set list

Although Coldplay hasn’t performed in the U.S. in nearly a year, the band has played live shows at venues all over the world in 2024. That includes stops in Germany, Finland, Italy, France and Hungary.

Most recently, they performed a pair of gigs at Croke Park in Dublin. According to Set List FM , here’s what they brought to the stage at their last concert on Sept. 2:

Act I: Planets

01.) “Higher Power” 02.) “Adventure of a Lifetime” 03.) “Paradise” 04.) “The Scientist” 05.) “Ride On” (Jimmy MacCarthy cover) Act II: Moons

06.) “Viva la Vida”

07.) “Hymn for the Weekend” 08.) “Don’t Forget Me” (Maggie Rogers cover) 09.) “In My Place” 10.) “Yellow” Act III: Stars

11.) “Human Heart” 12.) “People of the Pride” 13.) “Clocks” 14.) “WE PRAY” 15.) “Infinity Sign” 16.) “Something Just Like This” (The Chainsmokers cover) 17.) “My Universe” 18.) “A Sky Full of Stars” Act IV: Home

19.) “Sunrise” 20.) “Sparks” 21.) “The Jumbotron Song” 22.) “Crazy World” (Aslan cover) 23.) “Fix You” 24.) “GOOD FEELiNGS” 25.) “feelslikeimfallinginlove” 26.) “ALL MY LOVE”

Coldplay new music

Prior to the release of “Moon Music,” Coldplay has released a pair of singles as noted above.

First is the exuberant “feelslikeimfallinginlove, ” which somehow evokes the magic of the early days of a relationship where everything is weightless. Coldplay’s pulsing synths and Martin’s soaring vocals will make you feel as if you’re floating on a cloud in just four short minutes.

On Sept. 6, the group teamed up with Little Simz, Burna Boy, Elyanna and TINI for the strings-heavy bop “WE PRAY.” Make sure to stick around to the very end here; at the three-minute mark, all the artists come together for an infectious singalong that’s sure to leave a smile on your face.

Huge stars on tour in 2024

If a trip across the pond to see Chris Martin next year isn’t in the cards for you, we’ve got your back.

Here are five huge artists that may be headed to a venue significantly closer to you than London these next few months.

•  David Gray

•  Imagine Dragons

•  Twenty One Pilots

reinvigorate, and redefine a cappella. Since emerging in 2011, the three-time GRAMMY® Award-winning

and Daytime EMMY® Award-nominated vocal quintet—Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado,

Kevin Olusola, and Matt Sallee—have reached unprecedented heights, toppling charts, selling 10 million

albums worldwide, generating billions of streams, and performing everywhere from The White House to The Hollywood Bowl.

Their catalog boasts back-to-back #1 albums on the Billboard 200, namely the gold-certified Pentatonix [2015] and platinum-certified A Pentatonix Christmas [2016]. Internationally, these albums performed equally as well with five albums being certified gold, platinum, or double platinum in Canada and ranking in the top 40 albums six times in New Zealand. Their single, “Hallelujah” also reached international acclaim as a platinum-certified single in Canada and gold-certified in Germany and Switzerland.

They notably made history as “the first a cappella act to win ‘Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Cappella’ at the GRAMMY® Awards” in 2015 and 2016. A year later, they earned another GRAMMY® Award in the category “Best Country Duo/Group Performance” for their duet with Dolly Parton on her song “Jolene.” Plus, they have collaborated with Kelly Clarkson and Miley Cyrus to name a few. Beyond standout awards shows and US late-night television appearances, Pentatonix leapt onto the big screen with a cameo in the blockbuster Pitch Perfect 2.

Following 2021’s Evergreen, which tallied over 100 million streams, they launched one of their biggest tours to date, Pentatonix: The Evergreen Christmas Tour. In 2023, the group received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and embarked on a major US tour over the Holiday season. Pentatonix’s World Tour kicked off in March in Asia, Australia and New Zealand and continues across Europe and the US later this year.
