Sonoma Zipline Adventures
Located in Sonoma County, California, Sonoma Zipline Adventures offers both zipline tours as well as treehouse stays with ziplining. You will be amazed by the towering Coastal Redwood trees that you will see from above, below and at eye level! Read on for more details about planning your visit.
Who can visit?
Sonoma Canopy Adventures requires all guests, for ziplining and treehouse stays, to be at least 10 years old and between 70-250 lbs. They will verify weight at time of check-in. Have a younger child or someone unable to zipline? You can use nearby Flamingo Resort in Santa Rosa as a homebase and head over as a daytrip to zipline with those who are able to go.
Zipline Tours
For those looking to just zipline, you have a choice between two courses: the Tree Tops Tour and the Forest Flight Tour. Sonoma Canopy Adventures has different rates for weekday, Friday/Sunday and Saturday. At time of publishing, the rates are:
Tree Tops Tours :
Monday-Thursday: $119 per person
Friday/Sunday: $139 per person
Saturday: $149 per person
Forest Flight Tour :
Monday-Thursday: $109 per person
Friday/Sunday: $119 per person
Saturday: $129 per person
These rates include gear (harnesses, helmet, gloves) plus a guided tour with two experienced guides.
What to bring for day trips:
- Closed toe shoes are essential. You are not permitted to participate without appropriate footwear.
- Pants or shorts are fine. For shirts, a thin long sleeved shirt works great in most weather. If it’s cold/rainy, consider a windbreaker jacket.
- No hats as you’ll be wearing a helmet. Sunglasses are allowed.
- Do not bring purses or bags to the zipline course. If you want to bring your phone, ensure you have a zippered pocket on an item of clothing.
- Bring your own GoPro with the head strap (or rent one from Sonoma Zipline Adventures)
Treehouse Stay
If you’re seeking the full experience, be sure to book the treehouse adventure through Sonoma Zipline Adventures. These accommodations are not available without purchasing the full tour package which is just about 24 hours. Here is what to expect:
- Check-in at 12:30pm. Be sure to grab lunch beforehand (Santa Rosa has lots of options or there are some cafes in the nearby towns). You will get weighed, put your luggage in the bin for your treehouse and load up into the truck to go to base camp.
- A short drive will lead you to the spot to get your gear on! Sonoma Zipline Adventures provides the basic gear (harnesses, helmet, gloves). You’ll do a brief ground school to get familiar with your gear.
- Head to the first zipline which is an easier one. Your guides will be there every step of the way.
- After completing your zipline courses, you will do a guided nature walk before reaching the treehouses. You will meet your camp host for the night.
- Settle in and enjoy the charcuterie plate in your room. Your luggage will be waiting for you in your treehouse.
- Dinner is served in your treehouse or at the dining platform at approximately 5:30pm. The dining platform only fits about 8 people so best to head down there early with a book if you prefer to dine outside.
- Enjoy a quiet evening and then enjoy breakfast delivered to your treehouse. Be ready about 9am. Your first zipline leaves right from the treehouse canopy!
- After you complete the course, stop by the Sonoma Zipline Adventures shop to view photos, grab a souvenir and leave a gratuity for the staff (credit card accepted for gratuity).
What to pack:
- Change of clothing for day two
- Phone charger
- Activities for a low tech evening (wi-fi is enable but not a super strong signal)
- Pack everything in a backpack or small duffel bag (big suitcases are not recommended)
What else to know:
Sonoma Zipline Adventures offers a truly unique experience and is perfect for celebrating a birthday or anniversary or just for a fun overnight trip.
- Be sure to book well in advance, especially for weekend stays, as there are only six treehouses.
- Ziplining happens rain or shine! If the forecast calls for rain, dress appropriately so you can still enjoy the experience.
- Cell phone service is spotty in Occidental so be sure to review the driving directions online so you can find the location easily.

We were so impressed with your staff and how they were so kind and personable with the kids! All young adults that interacted with the littler ones and made for a very pleasant outing! Kudos, they were all great people!
Great place. We visited for a birthday party and had a great time. Amazing treehouses
This is one of the best ways to keep your kids busy for hours. It's a big area so if you have small children, you'll want to follow along with them. But your bigger kids can roam free and have fun.
Took the kids for toddler time and can't say enough how wonderful it was. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend!
Truly fun for the whole family! The littlest will probably be happy to stick to the treehouses, but the more adventurous will want access to the zip lines and tree climbing and other things that need a harness.
This is a magical place so green , cozy , I was here for attending a birthday party with my toddler and I must say I want to return here to do justice
Very nice place for kids to have fun climbing from tree house to tree house
Un lugar muy bonito para disfrutar con los niños ellos disfrutan mucho
We took our 4 1/2 year old granddaughter to treehouse world today. It was a super nice experience. She was able to do the zip line(the smallest one). Very safe. Went at around 2:00 and it was not that crowded. The staff was very helpful in every way. Whoever does the hiring does an excellent job hiring nice young people. We stayed till after five even though they closed at five as we hadn’t finished looking at all the beautiful tree houses behind the trampoline area. Our granddaughter can’t wait to go back again! I highly recommend Treehouse world!
I took my 9yr. Son here. We had a blast. It was free-roaming fun for an Hour and a half! Word to the wise, if you are a kid at heart like me, stretch before and/or after you drop offs. The drop-off points(walk the plank) is meant for kids, so the sudden lunching of my adult body as the mechanism kicked in, really strained my 41 yr. old, battered body. Climbing the trees was great, tough climbs, for sure. Great time

Overnight Treehouse Date
This overnight in the treehouse thing was awesome! 14 ziplines and an overnight stay was seriously worth the money. The customer service was great and they're all friendly. You learn a lot from the zipline folks, who tells you about the trees. Very entertaining too!!! It's like glamping with style. We will definitely do this again with our sons, when they're of age.
Just came back from experiencing this Treehouse Adventure! This entire experience was amazing! The Treehouse Adventure includes 2 hours of ziplining, a nature hike, a gourmet dinner in your own treehouse yurt, a gourmet breakfast in the morning, then finishing off with 2 more hours of ziplining! Such a family friendly atmosphere throughout the whole camp! Keep in mind that this treehouse village is still new, so they are still improving it! Think of this as glamping in a tree. They plan to eventually connect it to the ziplining circuit, so that in the morning you can zipline right out of Sky Village and into the morning round of ziplining. Overall, everyone was friendly and the experience was absolutely incredible! We are already planning our return visit!
Nathan and Bryan were such fabulous tour guides on the course. I loved Nathan's nature facts and Bryan's witty humor. The course was enjoyable. The pricing for the pictures was very reasonable $10 for the first pic and $5 after for the other pictures. They processed to our email within the hour. I also appreciate how they didnt hassle us or cancel our tour for not being there early, but rather on time. Very thankful for that. Smooth easy checkin and start. It was great that I got to claim a free tour for my birthday. We got to claim it on the weekend eventhough my birthday was a couple days later during the week. That was such a bonus since some places say day of your birthday only. This saved me $150. With that saving the experience for my partner and I to do the Tree Tops course was about $150 for both of us. It was totally worth that price. However in reflection I would have NOT felt the experience was worth the original $350 per couple *before the discount. I also wouldnt do it again, regardless. I've gone to better Ziplinning places that are more thrilling. This one was mediocre if you like and are use to Ziplining. For local thrills I enjoyed Mount Hermons Adventures in Felton 10x more. Last year without a birthday discount it came out to $150 per couple for the Aerial Course. However it is not for the faint at heart and is a total workout. I enjoyed that one more, but it is a ropes course, not ziplining. I do understand they have zipping too though. After my wonderful experience there I plan to go back to try Ziplinning and even do the aerial course again! I have referred them many clientele. I would do this verse returning to Sonoma Canopy Tours to try their other courses. The best thing I think Sonoma Canopy tours has that makes them stand out is their night tours and lodging. Their night tours could possibly keep clientele like me returning and recommending them. Although they need to open more night tours on the Tree Tops course. Currently they have very few and mainly on the forest flight which is a more beginner low key course. Perhaps if I experienced a night tour it maybe would have bumped up my rating to 5 stars. It could have also made me want to return if their lodging wasn't so expensive. I may reconsider in the future, but it won't be top of mind. Nevertheless a good experience and amazing great staff!
LOVED IT!!!!! The experience was amazing! Friendly staff and our guides were awesome! Funny and professional!
Amazing Experience...!!! Highlight of our experience was the tour guides Stephen and Josh. hey were excellent in maintaining the safety precautions at all times. I froze at my first zip to get started. Received lots of encouragement from Josh and the group. After that I became a pro..:) It was a truly wonderful experience, breathtaking views and fun people in the group. All of the 7 zip lining were truly an experience and hanging bridge was great as well. Will do it again...!!
I had an amazing time zip lining through the woods on a cool Fall morning. The staff were nice and our tour guides were informational about the trees and even made jokes to make it more fun. I would definitely recommend this to everyone.

TESTIMONIALS
"Well-known as one of Laos’s most unique accommodations, the Gibbon Experience is a two- or three-day adventure into some of the country’s most pristine forest canopy"
National Geographic
"It's an incredibly special travel moment you won't find anywhere else in the world made possible by the Gibbon Experience"
Karla Cripps
"The tree houses [...] are a thing of architectural wonder, straddling the giant trunks of strangler fig trees. But more extraordinary still is that to reach these vertiginous eyries you’ll have to trek through the fecund realm of the tiger, then catch a series of exhilarating zip lines strung across the forest canopy, before flying into your night’s accommodation."
The Guardian
"Not only is this exhilarating adventure one of the most unforgettable experiences in Southeast Asia, it’s also one of its most effective conservation concepts."
Eliot Stein
"Agile ape man I am certainly not, but in true Tarzan style I let off a mighty howl that echoes through the treetops. The sheer scale of the beauty that surrounds me is astounding"

Treehouse construction - parts store, takilma, oregon.
All for Trees & Trees for all
Southern Oregon has one of the largest concentrations of old growth trees in the country. The attempt here was to make a living out of the woods doing something that you love without having to harm the trees. Basically, trying to live in Harmony with the Forest. We are trying to accomplish a culture of sustainability while creating an economy for the community. This area is an old pioneering mining and logging community and we are trying to keep that spirit alive along with the trees and the wildlife.
Our Philosophy is the culture of sustainability and environmentalism. Instead of cutting a Tree down to get a sum of money – you use it for renewable sources of activities such as treehouses, ziplines, and scenic trails for the horses and rafters. Our international success along with the fact that we are currently the largest concentration of TreeHouses in the World, speaks for itself.

My girl Natasha and I stayed here two years ago on Valentine’s Day and absolutely loved it especially at this time of year. Today is Carson‘s 18th birthday and this is what he wanted to do because he heard all about our trip and he invited his girl Robin and they’re staying in the Peacock Perch treehouse. It’s a great unique Airbnb and they will have a wonderful time. They will make wonderful memories they will always look back on and treasure
Great place to relieve your child-like mind and explore. Also a great romantic place for partners. If you go in winter you’ll have the whole place to yourself. Remember to bundle up and hike to the back of the property to explore all its hidden treasures!!
What an amazing place to stay! Beautiful craftsmanship, tree houses are amazing! On site horseback ride was great and zip lining was great. All equipment was well maintained and horses were obviously well cared for. I will be going back for sure!

Treehouse Adventure Park
Welcome to Treehouse Adventure Park! If you’re someone who seeks out fun and unique experiences or amazing activities to share with your friends, family, or coworkers, then you’ve come to the right place. Or perhaps you just like pine trees? Either way, our adventure park was constructed with your imagination in mind.
Whereas many people have become familiar with the activity of ziplining, the concept of an aerial adventure park is relatively new in the western United States. Can you imagine combining ziplining with aerial obstacle bridges, rappels, pine trees, platforms suspended 20 to 40 feet in the air, and treehouses? If so, that’s exactly what you can expect to find at Treehouse Adventure Park. That………….. plus fun.
We have nine different aerial courses with varying levels of difficulty to accommodate a wide range of adventure enthusiasts ranging from 7 years of age and up. The park includes a mix of approximately 80 bridges, ziplines, ladders, and rappels. Our friendly guides equip all guests with state of the art climbing gear before walking them through an orientation that we call “ground school.” After this simple training, guests can begin navigating the beautiful forest through a maze of bridges and zips suspended in the air.
How does it work?
- The first step is to click on the Purchase Tickets button to check availability and make a reservation. All general admission tickets include either two or three hours of climb time.
- Upon making the reservation, you will receive an email with a link to our online waiver. Each guest must have a completed waiver. Guests under the age of 18 must have an adult or guardian complete and sign waiver.
- On climb day we ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your reservation time in order to use the restroom or store personal items, etc.
- A friendly, professional guide will gear up each participant and walk them through orientation.
- Each guest goes through a short practice area.
- Time to climb!
