Before you come!

Is there an age limit?

Yes. Our challenge rooms are designed to be fun for everyone over the age of 5 (whilst accompanied by a responsible adult of course!)

How does it all work?

Get assigned a set of 5 challenge rooms  - your goal is to score as many points as you can! When you enter a room, you will be briefed on the objective for each room. Your team will have a set time in each room to score as many points as possible before moving to the next room

Can I just turn up?

You can, but fun stuff sells out fast, and we only have a very limited number of walk-ins available. We advise booking in advance to avoid disappointment.

What should I wear?

Some of our challenges require you move around the room to score as many points as possible within the time limit. Because of this, we recommend you wear clothes that you can comfortably get active in.  We're not talking a marathon, think more like a vigorous game of musical chairs.

Sorry, you might have to leave the ball gown and high heels at home for this stay!

Yes! If you plan to purchase alcohol or be in the venue after 8pm you will need a valid form of ID.

We accept driver or rider licences and permits issued within Australia or any foreign country, Australian and International passports, NSW photo cards, proof of age cards and Keypass identity cards.

Under 18’s are permitted at   Hijinx Hotel Karrinyup   until 8 pm, 7 days a week .   Prior to this time, we request that pre-teens and younger children are accompanied by a responsible adult. Check out our   House Rules for more info.

Chill out at our Mega Bar, grab some delicious food, grab an amazing cocktail, visit our mates Holey Moley Golf Club , Strike Bowling  and/or Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq for even more fun, or you know, normal social interaction with your mates.

Unfortunately, because Hijinx Hotel is located on a separate level to Archie Brothers, Strike and Holey Moley, guests are unable to take food & drinks with them when travelling between brands.

You sure can! Our party packages include everything you need to host a successful event, with less stress, and all fun. 

Please Note: whilst we will allocate booths, tables & seating to your group for food & drinks, unfortunately Hijinx Hotel Karrinyup does not have a dedicated 'party room'.

If you would prefer to book a party with a party room included, check out our upstairs neighbours: Archie Brothers , Strike Bowling or Holey Moley .

Please arrive   at least 30 minutes before your booked in session   so we can brief you on the game play, show you to your room and have you playing as soon as possible.

However, you're welcome to arrive earlier than this to give you time to try our Hijinx Hotel cocktails, drinks and food before you play!

PLEASE NOTE:   Unfortunately, due to the nature of the games at Hijinx Hotel, we are unable to accommodate late arrivals.

It’s also home to Perth’s most terrifying escape room – Buried Alive. As the name would suggest, you start your experience off by being ‘buried alive’ in a coffin, so it’s not for those on the claustrophobic side.

We recommend building your way up to the scarier rooms by trying out their other horror-themed rooms first, like The Haunting or Dracula.

With only 2 clues to solve it in each game, this is one of the few escape rooms that are classed as very difficult. Challenge yourself to their most difficult rooms like Mental Perception, where you begin by being locked in separate rooms and have to break out to start. 

Their most demanding room has to be the Pipeline. In this room, you will be put to the test not only as a race against time, but also a race against your teammates. This room is split up like an arena where you and your teammates will be challenged to a series of puzzles that are sure to test you.

With a bar, bowling, mini-golf, karaoke, laser tag, and an escape room, Strike seems to have it all.

One more big score...That's all you're looking for and then you're out of this business! You've cased this casino and your team has a solid plan. But that doesn't mean this will be easy. Leonardo Da Vinci's knowledge and inventions were far ahead of his time. Was there more to his wits than initially thought? Explore Da Vinci's office to find Leonardo's secret. It will need to be a combined effort to unravel the riddles and prove that you are the real genius.

Can you catch the killer before they get you? You're part of a team of investigators on the trail of a serial killer. You're so close to identifying the culprit, but they know it. Scour the scene for hidden clues and solve mathematical problems to solve this investigation.

Your uncle always said; "Whatever you do. Live a life that you don't wind up behind bars." But did you listen? No.  Well it's time to bust out of this joint! The guards are distracted, now is your chance. But you don't have long to make your escape

It was one small step for man, but one dangerous leap for you. After wrapping up a spacewalk, you come inside to find a solar flare has fried your space station. With no oxygen and no communications, you have limited time to plot your course back to Earth. You only have one shot, make it count.

IRIS is a world-first artificial intelligence program; a computing advancement that Exodyne can't afford to have offline.  It's been shut down by a bitter employee trying to sabotage the company. The Old Haunt

Seeking refuge from a storm you stumble across an old abandoned mansion. After rushing inside, the door slams closed behind you. Trapping you within the curse of a sad, unresolved past. Can you use deductive reasoning to uncover the sombre history of this home and break its curse?

Your experience begins with a 30 minute briefing and your team has 50 minutes to try and complete the game. There is an extra 10 minutes at the end of your experience to get a photo with your score and collect your belongings.

Because of the level of maturity needed to solve puzzles, we do recommend that everybody under the age of 15 has an adult in the room with them to help out. As for scary, some of our rooms do have adult themes but every Strike has at least one room suitable for children.

Of course. Our friendly Escape Room Experts are here to help. If you do get stuck on a puzzle, you will have ways to acquire sneaky hints while you’re locked away and nobody will know. You will also have a phone available inside the room to call our Escape Room Expert for any extra help you may need.

Yes, this is a very frequently asked question. Don’t worry! It’s all in good fun. Our Escape Room Experts have found that ‘smart’ is very open to interpretation in escape rooms. One person might be really good at solving maths puzzles, one person might be really good at finding hidden objects and one person might be best at spotting the really obvious clues right in front of your nose.

Strike escape rooms can have 2-6 players locked inside. Escape rooms are a limited size, so anymore gets very squishy, very quickly.

Unfortunately, we can only have 2-6 players inside an Escape Room. BUT! If you have 6 or more friends (jealous), you can book an extra room and have two teams racing against each other.

Is there an age limit?

Nope, we all want to run away to the circus. Now you can - Adults are encouraged to come down and let their inner child loose at all times!

How does it all work?

All of our wonderful activities require a Bank of Archie Bros card to play - You can purchase one of these when you arrive, or book online for   extra credit!! You can also book your bowling online, or see our magicians at the front desk to reserve a bowling lane.

How much does it cost?

It depends on what you would like to do! Our Arcade Games cost between $2 - $5. To see our prices for our other activities check our their pages above!

Yes! If you plan to purchase alcohol or be in the venue after 8pm you will need a valid form of ID.

We accept   current  driver or rider licences and permits issued within Australia, Australian and International passports and WA proof of age cards.

Under 18’s are permitted at  Archie Brothers Karrinyup  until  8pm, 7 days a week.  Prior to this time, we request that pre-teens and younger children are accompanied by a responsible adult. Check out our  House Rules for more info.

Chill out at Dazzler's Diner, grab some delicious food, grab an amazing cocktail, visit our mates Holey Moley Golf Club , Hijinx Hotel and/or Strike Bowling for even more fun, or you know, normal social interaction with your mates.

Unfortunately, because Hijinx Hotel is located on a separate level to Archie Brothers, Strike and Holey Moley, guests are unable to take food & drinks with them when travelling between brands.
