• Part payment is allowed for online booking for package cost above Rs. 50,000/-per transaction for all Packages.
• IRCTC registered users and Guest users can avail the part payment facility for online booking at www.irctctourism.com.
• IRCTC counters can also use this facility to accommodate the walk-in customers.
• Agents are not authorized for online booking with part payment at www.irctctourism.com.
• The minimum ARP (Advanced Reservation Period) for part payment facility would be for booking done before 35 days from departure date.
• Part Payment is applicable on total booking amount, where the package cost is greater than Rs 50000/-. It will be collected in 2 installments inclusive of GST. ✔ For Domestic/International Air Packages: - 1st payment for 30% amount, Final/ Balance payment for 70%. ✔ For All Other Packages: - 1st payment for 25% amount, Final/Balance payment for 75%.
• If the due/final payment is not done within 30 days prior to departure date , then the request for the final payment would not be accepted & booking would be treated as cancelled & relevant cancellation charges would be applicable.
• Partial cancellation of passengers is not allowed in part payment transactions.
• For any cancellation and part/final payment days are counted excluding the date of departure.
• Tour confirmation number will only be generated after receipt of total package cost by IRCTC.
• Only Full cancellation is allowed on the above transactions with applicable cancellation charges.

Rail Tour Packages - IRCTC organizes packages to various destinations for which Indian Railways earmarks seats/berths in trains for the to and fro journey. Special Tourist Trains – IRCTC organizes train tours for the budget travelers with fixed departure dates and itineraries. These trains are called Bharat Darshan Trains and Aastha Circuit Trains. In the year 2018-19, 99 trips of Bharat Darshan and Aastha Circuit Trains were operated with more than 50,000 tourists travelling on them.

After successful registration on irctc ticketing website, you will be able to log in through user id and password created at the time of registration. one should also know that once you create your account in irctc you will be by default registered with www.irctctourism.com. .

Forgot IRCTC login id? Here is how to recover

While making an IRCTC login ID passengers need to provide various details and identity proofs and enter security question, Name (First Name, Last Name), Gender, Marital Status, Occupation, Date of Birth, Email – ID, Mobile Number, address and other details. After successful registration on IRCTC ticketing website, you will be able to log in through User ID and Password created at the time of registration. One should also know that once you create your account in IRCTC you will be by default registered with  www.irctctourism.com . After this long process what to do if you forget your User ID? No need to worry as here are the steps on how to recover your lost details:-

In case if you have forgotten your IRCTC login ID then you need to follow these steps: 1. Go to the IRCTC official website  https://www.irctctourism.com/  and click on 'login' option. 2. Select option 'Forgot user ID'. 3. In the new window, you will be required to enter your email ID, date of birth and captcha code.  4. After filling the required information, click on submit.

Once the process will be done the User ID will be sent to the registered email ID which you have entered while creating the IRCTC login ID and one can again use their user ID and log in to your IRCTC account. One should also know that one cannot change their IRCTC user login ID.

Bharat Gaurav Trains

Indian Railways introduced the concept of operating tourist trains on theme based circuits under the banner of Bharat Gaurav Tourist Trains. The journeys undertaken on these trains are on the diverse circuits which are offered in the form of tour packages wherein services like off-board travel and excursions by buses, stay at hotels, tour guides, meals, travel insurance etc are provided along with comfortable train journey and allied onboard services.

IRCTC’s Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train

These trains have a mixed composition of Sleeper (Non-AC), AC III tier and AC II tier coaches. The exterior of these trains showcases popular Indian monuments, sculptures, landmarks, and dance forms etc having a total capacity of around 600 - 700 seats and are fitted with infotainment systematic and CCTV cameras and a well-equipped pantry car for preparing fresh meals onboard.

Deluxe AC Tourist Train Train

This train is fully air-conditioned with AC I, AC II and AC III tier accommodation onboard. The train has one dedicated modern kitchen car (flameless), two rail restaurants, coaches fitted with washrooms having shower cubicles, electronic safes in each cabin, foot massagers, infotainment system, CCTV cameras etc giving it a very exclusive semi-luxury feel. The total train capacity is 268 seats.

Karnataka Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train

Government of Karnataka (GoK) in association with IRCTC is running Bharat Gaurav train for destinations such as Kashi, Prayag, Gaya and Ayodhya. The fully AC train has 11 AC III tier coaches and accommodates 700 tourists. It is equipped with a modified pantry car and the train exterior depicts prominent heritage and temples of Karnataka. Government of Karnataka is offering a subsidy to the pilgrims.

The maximum number of passengers that can be booked are given below, which is subject to berth blocking in the respective package class. Rail tour package – 6 pax Bharat Darshan – 8 pax Holiday package – 10 pax Group booking pax limit subject to availability.

Packages can also be booked for children who are accompanied by at least one adult. The booking of tour package for children is subject to available occupancy. The applicable charges are available in the respective packages.

Generally, the tour packages will be available for booking upto 05 days before date of departure. However, for some tour packages like Rail tour packages, Air packages, time restrictions apply.

New Delhi: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has been helping passengers in booking online tickets for quite some time. Apart from this, the IRCTC is also trying everything possible to make the journey of passengers easier. This is why the wholly-owned subsidiary of Indian Railways also provides a hotel booking facility on its platform. Last year, it had even launched the ‘work from hotel’ package to let people work with a new location but still within the safety of four walls. Apart from these, it also provides retiring rooms at a very affordable price. The retiring rooms are available in single, double and dormitory types of occupancy with both AC and Non AC combinations.

How to book hotels

Step 1: Visit the official website i.e. irctctourism.com.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Hotels’ tab.

Step 3: Enter the city or the hotel name and then the date on which you are planning your visit. Select the number of guests and click search.

Step 4: You will have to then select hotel type, price range, and star rating.

Step 5: Selection hotel and click ‘Continue to Book’

Step 6: Log in using your user name and password and book your hotel.

Similarly, retiring rooms can also be booked online. The duration of booking the retiring room is a minimum of 1 hour and a maximum of 48 hours. At some stations, an hourly booking service is also available.

How to book a retiring room

Step 1: Visit the official website i.e. irctctourism.com and log in with your IRCTC login details.

Step 2: Enter your PNR number and click search

Step 3: Select your station and proceed with booking accordingly.

Step 4: Enter the check-in/check-out date, type of room and other details.

Step 5: Click on ‘Check Availability’.

Step 6: Select the slot duration, ID card type.

Step 7: Click on the proceed button and make the payment.

What is Retiring Room?

What is the duration of booking , what are the rules for cancellation of retiring rooms.

1. Deduction of 20% of the booking amount if cancelled 2 days in advance excluding the day of occupation.

2. Deduction of 50% of the booking amount if cancelled one day in advance excluding the day of occupation.

3. No refund shall be admissible in case of cancellation of retiring room booking on the same day.
