IRON MAIDENILLE LISÄKONSERTTI SUOMEEN SUUREN KYSYNNÄN VUOKSI! Heavy metal -legenda Iron Maiden saapuu ensi vuonna Suomeen osana Future Past -kiertuettaan. Suomalaisten rakastaman brittibändin Nokia Arenalla lauantaina 3. kesäkuuta 2023 järjestettävän keikan tänään alkanut lipunmyynti on lähtenyt käyntiin vilkkaasti. Suuren kysynnän vuoksi Iron Maidenille järjestetään lisäkeikka alkuperäisen keikkapäivän jälkeen sunnuntaina 4.6.2023. Kummankin konsertin liput ovat nyt myynnissä Lippu.fi:ssä. Iron Maiden lähtee ensi vuonna Future Past -nimiselle kiertueelle, joka saapuu Suomen Nokia Arenalle 3. kesäkuuta. Kiertueen keikoilla Iron Maiden on luvannut soittaa aiemmin livenä kuulemattomia biisejä yhtyeen viimeisimmältä, kaiken kaikkiaan 27 maassa* listaykköseksi nousseelta Senjutsu-albumiltaan. Uusimman levyn biisien lisäksi keikat keskittyvät vuoden 1986 ikonisen Somewhere In Time -albumin kappaleisiin ja muihin Iron Maiden -klassikoihin. Suomen-keikan lipunmyynti alkaa perjantaina 4. marraskuuta . Tätä edeltää Iron Maiden -fanclubilaisille suunnattu ennakkomyynti. – Uusimman Senjutsu-albumimme julkaisun jälkeen päivitimme käynnissä olevan Legacy of the Beast -kiertueen biisilistaa siten, että show alkaa kolmella Senjutsu-albumin biisillä. Meistä ei tuntunut järkevältä toistaa tätä Senjutsu-kiertueella, joten aloimme miettiä vaihtoehtoja. Päätimme palata Somewhere In Time -albumiin.  Se ei ole ollut edustettuna takavuosien 1980-luvun konserttivideoihin pohjautuvilla retrospektiivisillä kiertueillamme, sillä valitettavasti tuolta kiertueelta meillä ei ole videotallenteita (tästä voi syyttää manageria!!). Olemme saaneet faneilta paljon pyyntöjä vuosien varrella monista Somewhere In Time -albumin kappaleista, joten aiomme nyt soittaa niitä sekä tietysti muutamia muita, joista tiedämme yleisön pitävän! On myös erityisen ilahduttavaa päästä vihdoin soittamaan useampia Senjutsun biisejä, tätä on odotettu pitkään! Vuodesta 2023 tulee mahtava ja odotamme innolla näkevämme kaikki taas Tampereella, jossa soitimme viimeksi vuoden 2008 Somewhere Back In Time -kiertueella , Iron Maidenin basisti Steve Harris kertoo. – Tämä kahden albumin yhdistelmä on mielestämme erittäin kiinnostava. Tiedämme, että fanit haluavat kuulla nuo Senjutsun eeppiset biisit ensimmäistä kertaa livenä. Ja uskomme, että uuden albumin kappaleet yhdistettynä Somewhere In Time -levyn biiseihin tekee kiertueesta erityisen sekä vanhoille että uusille faneille! British heavy metal legends IRON MAIDEN were the headliners Saturday night (June 4) at the Rockfest in Hyvinkää, Finland. Fan-filmed video of the concert can be seen below.

As has been the case on all the shows of the 2022 leg of MAIDEN 's "Legacy Of The Beast" world tour so far, the band opened the set with "Senjutsu" , the title track of its latest studio album, and followed it up with two more songs from the same LP, "Stratego" and "The Writing On The Wall" .

Other tracks aired during MAIDEN 's performance included "Revelations" , "Blood Brothers" , "Sign Of The Cross" , "Flight Of Icarus" , "Fear Of The Dark" , "Hallowed Be Thy Name" , "The Number Of The Beast" and "Iron Maiden" .

MAIDEN also played two encores, consisting of "The Trooper" , "The Clansman" , "Run To The Hills" and the closing track of the night, "Aces High" .

Prior to the "Legacy Of The Beast" kick-off concert on May 22 in Zagreb, Croatia, IRON MAIDEN hadn't performed live in two and a half years — since the completion of its South American tour in October 2019.

Earlier this year, IRON MAIDEN singer Bruce Dickinson confirmed that the band is planning to stage a tour where it will perform its new album, "Senjutsu" , in its entirety. The 63-year-old singer told the "Talk Is Jericho" podcast: "The plan we've got — it's not really a secret; I think everybody else has chatted about it — we will , I hope, we've talked about doing the entire [ 'Senjutsu' ] album start to finish, but not this time around. And we all appreciate that that is something that really diehard fans will probably love and other people will go, 'Hmmm, I'm not gonna go see that.' So the answer is you play smaller venues so that they sell out with just your diehard fans. 'Cause it's a musical thing to do — it's a musical thing."

Dickinson went on to clarify that the 2022 leg of MAIDEN 's "Legacy Of The Beast" tour, which is scheduled to hit North America in September and October, will once again focus primarily on a decades-spanning setlist of fan favorites.

"The 'Legacy Of The Beast' tour, people have all paid their money to see the 'Legacy Of The Beast' show, with Spitfires and flamethrowers and Icarus and everything that goes with," he said. "So they're gonna get all that. But the first three tracks are probably gonna be the first three tracks on the [ 'Senjutsu' ] album. 'The Writing On The Wall' they already know, so everybody should know the first three tracks. And I just think [the] 'Senjutsu' [title track] is just such a great opening song — so dramatic. And then once you've done that — and we'll have a stage set to go with it — once you've done that, you're back to the kind of 'Legacy' world at that point. But I think 'The Writing On The Wall' is gonna be a great song — I mean, a crowd singalong song. You can imagine that. It'll be fantastic."

Addressing the fact that MAIDEN infuriated some fans by forcing them to sit through the band's then-new, 75-minute "A Matter Of Life And Death" album on tour in 2006, denying the crowd the greatest hits they'd come for, Bruce said: "Nobody has to buy a ticket. If you don't wanna go [see us play an entire new album live], you don't buy a ticket. It's gonna be plain as the nose on your face. This is gonna be what they're gonna do. So given that, don't complain that they did what they said they were gonna do."

Clocking in at a hefty 82 minutes, "Senjutsu" came out in September. It marks MAIDEN 's second consecutive double album behind 2015's "The Book Of Souls" which is the longest MAIDEN album, with a running time of 92 minutes.

IRON MAIDEN 's first album in six years, "Senjutsu" was recorded in 2019 in Paris with longstanding producer Kevin Shirley and co-produced by bassist Steve Harris . It features three tracks whose running time exceeds 10 minutes each.

For "Senjutsu" — loosely translated as "tactics and strategy" — the band once again enlisted the services of Mark Wilkinson to create the spectacular Samurai-themed cover artwork, based on an idea by Harris .

"Senjutsu" bowed at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart, charting higher than even the band's early classics like "Powerslave" and "The Number Of The Beast" . Nearly 90 percent of the LP's 64,000 equivalent album units earned came from pure album sales. The critically acclaimed double album debuted one place higher than 2015's "The Book Of Souls" and 2010's "The Final Frontier" , which both peaked at No. 4.

"Senjutsu" was MAIDEN 's 13th album to top in the Top 40 in the U.S.

According to Billboard , "Senjutsu" logged the second-largest week of 2021 for a hard rock album in both equivalent album units earned and in traditional album sales.

"Senjutsu" topped the charts in several European countries upon its release, including in Belgium, Finland, Germany, Italy, Sweden and Switzerland.

In coordination with  Record Store Day, THE HU  have announced a limited-edition vinyl,  LIVE AT GLASTONBURY , including exclusive live recordings from their performance at  Glastonbury   Festival  in the UK in 2023. The  LIVE AT GLASTONBURY  LP was pressed on 140-gram “Dusk” vinyl and will include a sleeve jacket with an 11×17 poster insert. It will be available exclusively on  Record Store Day  ( Saturday, April 20)  at all participating record stores. Find a location near you  HERE . 

To date,  THE HU  have amassed over  763 million combined streams  across digital platforms and   video views,  two Top 5  Mainstream Rock charting radio singles and a  RIAA   Gold Certification  for 2019’s groundbreaking viral single, “ Wolf Totem ” . The band—who blend traditional Mongolian instruments and throat singing with contemporary sounds into a unique sonic profile that they call “Hunnu Rock”—have  sold-out  worldwide headlining tours and appeared at the world’s biggest music festivals ( Download, Coachella, Lollapalooza, Glastonbury ).  THE HU  have released collaborations with  Jacoby Shaddix  of  Papa Roach ,  Lzzy Hale  of  Halestorm ,  William DuVall  of  Alice In Chains ,  Serj Tankian, LP  and  DL  of  Bad Wolves  and their music has been featured on  Metallica ’s  Blacklist  album as well as being featured in  EA Games ’  Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order  and its official soundtrack. 

THE HU  have also achieved recognition from top government agencies including being named  UNESCO 2023  “ Artist of Peace ” designees and receiving the highest state award in their home country  Mongolia ,  the Order of Genghis Khan  from the President of Mongolia , Kh. Battulga  in 2020 for their achievements.

The Iron Maiden tour adds Phoenix date in 2024. Here's how to get tickets to the concert

I conic British heavy metal veterans Iron Maiden have added a Phoenix date to the North American leg of the Future Past Tour, playing Footprint Center on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024, with Mongolian metal greats the Hu.

No further shows will be announced for North America.

The Hu issued a statement saying, “Iron Maiden is the master of the masters of rock music. They are one of the biggest inspirations to us! The way that they create and perform their music is majestic and we still remember the first time we heard their ‘Trooper’ song and felt the deep energy behind each word.”

Iron Maiden last played Phoenix in 2019

Iron Maiden last played Phoenix on the Legacy of the Beast Tour in 2019 .

This will be their 17th performance in the Valley since playing Memorial Coliseum on June 4, 1981, as part of the Killer World Tour, their first time in the U.S.

Future Past Tour features songs from 'Senjetsu,' 'Somewhere in Time'

The Future Past Tour, which features songs from Maiden’s latest studio release, “Senjutsu,” and 1986’s seminal “Somewhere in Time” alongside other fan favorites, played to more than 750,000 fans at more than 30 sold-out shows across Europe in the summer of 2023.

They also played Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver alongside their highly praised appearance at California’s Power Trip Festival in October, which had Consequence raving “Iron Maiden set the bar high at Power Trip” and The Desert Sun saying they “delivered a hard-hitting performance to open the festival on a high note."

The tour features one of the most spectacular stage productions of Maiden’s career.
