James Arthur has come a long way since proving himself a star on 2012's British X Factor. The competition helped prime him for the stage, but after touring with the show and performing in sold-out arenas, he wanted to make a name for himself outside of the X Factor brand. In 2014, he set out on his debut headlining tour, the James Arthur Tour, to support his self-titled debut album. Over the next five years, he toured extensively throughout the U.K., Europe and the U.S., and landed a supporting slot at the 16th Annual Honda Civic Tour alongside OneRepublic. In 2019, he performed a few intimate and acoustic shows to warm up for one of his biggest tours yet to support his third album, You.

James Arthur in Concert

James Arthur can make even the pain of heartbreak sound comforting. The warmth of his voice and intensity of his words seem to come so naturally; still, the road to the top of the charts wasn't always smooth for the singer/songwriter. Arthur grew up in Middlesbrough, England, but bounced around between various homes, even living in Bahrain for a few years, before returning to England and getting serious about music. As a teenager he began writing and recording songs and performing locally in alt-rock bands. By 2011, he was pushing for a solo career. He ended up among the final 200 contestants on the U.K. version of The Voice, but never made it further. That hardly deterred him, though. He soon found himself in the finals on The X Factor. Upon winning the ninth series of the show, his debut single, a cover of Shontelle's "Impossible," made it straight to No. 1 in the U.K. and became the country's fastest-selling single in 2012. Arthur then released his self-titled debut album in November 2013. The release showcased his range, between soulful R&B crooner and commanding rapper, and featured single "You're Nobody ‘til Somebody Loves You" and collaborations with Emeli Sandé and Chasing Grace. For his sophomore album, Arthur signed with Columbia Records and dropped Back from the Edge in 2016, which included No. 1 single "Say You Won't Let Go." Over the next few years, he would join forces with artists like Machine Gun Kelly, Rudimental, Marshmello and Juicy J on various singles, before returning with his third album, You, in 2019.

Fun performance.

Good performer, played all the big songs, teenage girl loved it!

First VIP Concert

I had a blast! Had VIP tickets so I was directly in front. He did great at working the crowd. You could kinda tell towards the end that his voice needs a rest after 47 shows. It also felt a little short. He came out a few minutes after 9 and finished at 10:30p. Still the best experience and I'd do it again :)

Incredible atmosphere in a great cozy place!

I get used to big stadium concerts and thousands and thousands of people. James Arthur concert was an absolutely different but incredibly great experience. The Fillmore Philadelphia is an amazing place for such kind of cozy tours. Absolutely loved every minute spent on the concert. Highly recommend to get tickets to James Arthur! I’ve been having goosebumps during the entire time.

James Sounded Great! HORRIBLE VENUE

James was awesome! All ages show at venue is a joke for someone who wants to drink a few beers and can’t walk around with their drink! No sign saying you must stay in an area after purchasing an alcohol drink! Ridiculous! Will not go back here!

James Arthur has been getting people through the toughest of times for years now. Beautiful voice, amazing band mates, great stage presence, and very intimate with the crowd. i took my gf to see him after she’s been waiting for so long.. to see the tears of joy and happiness stream down her face, was so graceful. james helped her get through some dark times and pulled her up with his words. Awful - just a greatest hit compilation

Had high expectations for James Arthur as his new album is so so good. But despite the tour being named after his new album, he only sang 3 songs from it in 1.5 hours. Even sang his X factor winning song!? He said in an interview he hates singing that!? Shame we couldn’t see more live versions of the album that is so good and not ballads that made number 1 years ago

I’ve been wanted to see James Arthur live for a long time, since he doesn’t tour in the US often. The concert didn’t disappoint in the slightest. It’s not often that you hear someone live that sounds just as they do in your car. It was one of the best shows I’ve seen.

Area review

It was really hot, no air to breathe. They should put a fan or air conditioner. It can be dangerous for the people. Even the artist was soo hot. Anyway the show was crazy he was really good.

Iwamsite album

The venue was pretty nice but extremely hot in there even if they offered water for standing people like me. The soundcheck, Q&A was sweet. James was amazing and he is so talented and unique artist. We should have him more often here. Magical night and met him quickly so was very happy. Sound was excellent too . Thanks

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL

Everything about this show was beautiful. I feel like the only thingbi can complain about is that i wish he sang more songs.... but it was an absolutely amazing show ❤️

James always gives it his all, every time he hits the stage. He’s a pure talent and deserves so much more recognition here in North America. The MTelus venue was pretty cool, small enough to really feel the energy but not so small that it was overwhelming. I will say the venue was very warm - it was 35 degrees all day and it felt like there was no air circulation at all in the building. Also, beer selection could have been better - no domestic beer available at all and not everyone likes craft beer.

We had a singer who was from Scotland who opened the concert. She sang so well. I love her songs and then we waited but the wait was worth it. James included us in his performance. Talk with us and his songs were so good. If he comes back to Montreal. I will go again that’s for sure!

I've been to many concerts from Motley Crue to Spice Girls and James Arthur was my favourite concert. His talent and performance was everything. Im hoping he comes back to Montreal soon.

His debut single, a cover of Shontelle's "Impossible," became a global sensation, setting records as the most successful winner's single in the show's history. "I see you have been asking, so here we have it... The Bitter Sweet Love World Tour is coming to the US & Canada..." said James Arthur in his Instagram post on December 12. Known for his warm brand of R&B-inflected pop, James Arthur initially rose to fame as the victor of the ninth season of the British version of The X Factor in 2012. Buoyed by his competition-winning rendition of the  Shontelle  ballad "Impossible," his self-titled debut reached number two in the U.K. He built upon that success with two more Top Five U.K. albums, 2016's  Back from the Edge  and 2019's  YOU . Arthur has also reached the U.K. singles chart with songs like 2018's "Rewrite the Stars" with  Anne-Marie  off  The Greatest Showman  soundtrack, 2020's "Lasting Lover" with  Sigala , 2021's "Medicine" from his fourth album,  It'll All Make Sense in the End , and 2022's "Lose You." He continued this streak with the aching 2023 ballad "A Year Ago."

James Arthur has started his long-awaited 'Bitter Sweet Love' UK tour. The singer, who has now released his fifth album, also called ' Bitter Sweet Love ', will perform many dates across the UK, before ending in Belfast in August.

The ' Blindside ' singer who has already performed across Europe including Dublin as part of his tour, recently took to Instagram after his first night in the UK telling his fans that 'Bournemouth was class'.

James Arthur has an extensive setlist for his current tour, which includes many of his popular hits throughout the years, as well as his more recent songs, including the album and tour's title track 'Bitter Sweet Love', which he opens with.

What has James said about his tour?

Since James' initial tour announcement he has added extra dates due to high demand, including several summer dates, and one at Singleton Park, Swansea.

James shared the exciting news on Instagram (now deleted) writing: 'Additional tour dates! 🤘 It’s overwhelming to see the reaction to the Bitter Sweet Love World Tour, everything has sold out so fast so we’re putting on some additional shows and I couldn’t be happier that we are.'

As well as these extra dates, James previously announced a huge homecoming gig, which will be taking place at Middlesbrough Riverside Stadium on Saturday 8th June 2024, welcoming guests McFly and Lauran Hibberd.

Speaking about the exciting news, James said: "It's truly unbelievable. I don't think that I can put it into words. As someone who came to the Riverside as a young lad with a season ticket and walked through the turnstiles, it’s just crazy to think that people are going to be walking through the turnstiles to watch me perform. It’s very much like the end of a movie, a full circle moment.

"It has been bit of a pipe dream of mine to play my team’s ground; I'm really honoured."

The singer also shared a video on Instagram where he can be seen visiting the stadium, cut with his younger-self also visiting the football ground.

James announced his tour last year on social media, telling his fans: 'These are the dates for the UK/EU leg of the Bitter Sweet Love world tour - can’t wait for you all to see the show ❤️ Everyone who pre-orders the fifth album from my official store before 3PM BST this Tuesday will receive access to my EU/UK tour pre-sale! Thank you so much for your support, can't wait to see you all out there.'

Absolutely fantastic. JAmes Arthur did not disappoint. He sang songs from his old and new albums and included the old favourites. He is an inspiration to many people who suffer with anxiety and depression and was not afraid to speak about it. He was funny a real presence on stage. He has a great voice and an extraordinary talent . Well done JAmes you did yourself proud I was honoured to come and watch you sing m. Brilliant

It was incredible! One of the best concerts I've ever seen. James really knows how to cheer up the fans. There was always an amazing energy between him and the crowd, and the smalk talks between songs were really funny and made me feel more "close" to him and understand a little bit more what he felt when writting the songs (like the anxiety issues that I also have) and he made me cry a little bit on Quite Miss Home (I promised myself that would not cry). The songs list was THE BEST, I wasn't expecting the "rock" vibe in some of the songs but it was incredible and James killed it on the guitar.

Also, the singers that came first (Jamie Grey and Emily Burns) were amazing and really cool and sweet. I had an awesome night and hope to see him again because his voice is even better on live!

Off the back of a sell-out arena tour in 2023, James Arthur has just announced new tour dates for 2024, including a debut performance here at The Wyldes.

James Arthur will be performing live in The Wyldes, Cornwall on Sunday 30 June, 2024 .

Middlesbrough-born singer-songwriter James Arthur was catapulted to fame in 2012 when he won prime time singing contest The X Factor . Since his TV success, he has had multiple chart-topping hits, including two UK number ones with Impossible and Say You Won’t Let Go , and a number one album with his 2016 release Back from The Edge . His latest album, Bitter Sweet Love is due to be released in January .

Our Live in The Wyldes events are a full evening of entertainment, with food, bars and a show-stopping line-up of support artists to accompany the event headliner, plus an afterparty for those who want to keep the party going.

Camping & Accommodation

We have several camping and glamping options on site to choose from - whether you want simple tent camping, a spacious pitch for your campervan or boutique glamping with all the bells and whistles, there’s something for every camper on site. No fighting over who’s designated driver, no taxi time limits, no need to cut the party short.

You can find out about all of our camping and accommodation options here .

If none of those take your fancy, or you’d like to make a week of it, then there are also plenty of hotels, campsites and B&B accommodation nearby.

Transport & Parking

SHUTTLE BUS

We’ve teamed up with our friends at Rob’s Travel, who will be providing shuttle buses to and from all of our events. These will be running from the Strand Bus Shelter in Bude (opposite the Globe Hotel) to the shuttle stop at The Wyldes (and vice versa). You can book your seats on the shuttle bus at the same time as you book your event tickets.

Parking is £5 per 24hrs in our car parking fields. To encourage car-pooling, we offer free parking for anyone arriving in a vehicle with 4 or more passengers.

There is reserved parking closer to the entrance of the field for blue badge holders. Just ask our friendly stewards when you arrive and they will be able to direct you.

If you are camping in Tent camping , you will need to pay to park in our car parks before entering the campsite. Vehicles are not permitted in this area at any time.

If you are camping in Live-in vehicle camping or Premium camping areas, you can choose to use some of your pitch space for parking a car, or you can pay to park in our car parks.

If you are staying in our Glamping area, you will have one allocated parking space, close to your tent, included in your booking.

WHEN WILL I GET MY PRESALE ACCESS CODE?

If you purchased an album, or registered via the form, you will receive an email from 6.00pm GMT Wednesday   6th December  2023, containing your presale code, a link to the presale and details of the tour.

WHEN DOES THE PRESALE OPEN?

These emails invite you to purchase tickets in our exclusive presale window, running between 9:00am BST Thursday 7th December 2023 and 9:00am BST Friday 8th December 2023.

Presale access does not guarantee you tickets; it guarantees your eligibility to access the ticket presale before general release. Please note, due to high demand tickets are extremely limited.

HOW DOES THE CODE WORK?

Each code is only valid for James Arthur UK & Europe Summer 2024 tour dates.

Please keep the email containing your presale link and passcode, ready for the presale.

One code is issued per customer, allowing 4 tickets to be purchased

HOW DO I REDEEM MY CODE?

Simply follow the link provided in your email, which will take you to a designated presale page.

Please ensure you are entering your passcode into the appropriate box.

I'VE PRE-ORDERED THE ALBUM, BUT I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY CODE YET, WHY?

You should receive your code from 6PM BST Wednesday 6th December 2023, please check both your inbox and junk mail folders carefully to locate this email.

Presales don’t guarantee you to tickets, but they do give you the chance to book tickets earlier, with fewer people trying to book at the same time. If you are trying to find tickets and the result are "currently not available", that means the presale allocation has sold out.
