Jim Gaffigan is a six-time Grammy nominated comedian, actor, writer, producer, two-time New York Times best-selling author, three-time Emmy winning top touring performer, and multi-platinum-selling recording artist. He is known around the world for his unique brand of humor, which largely revolves around his observations on life. Tickets for his 2022 The Fun Tour, are currently on sale, and his 2023 Dark Pale Tour goes on sale Friday, October 7, 2022.

A top ten comedian according to Forbes' 2019 comedy list, Jim released his 8th stand-up special, The Pale Tourist, on Amazon. He was also recently awarded for being the first comedian to reach one billion streams on Pandora. His 9th stand-up special, Comedy Monster, premiered on Netflix last December.

Up next, Gaffigan will be seen as the lead in the Sci-Fi dramedy, Linoleum, and will star as Mr. Smee in Disney's Peter Pan and Wendy, opposite Jude Law and Yara Shahidi. He will also co-star Jerry Seinfeld , Melissa McCarthy , James Marsden , and Hugh Grant in Netflix's Unfrosted, and co-stars in the independent film Susie Searches which premiered at TIFF this year. HBO Max recently announced Gaffigan joined the cast of Full Circle, a limited series from Steve Soderbergh and Ed Solomon which follows an investigation into a botched kidnapping connecting multiple characters and cultures in present day NY.

Gaffigan was also recently heard in Disney/Pixar's highly anticipated film, Luca, opposite Jacob Tremblay and Maya Rudolph .

On the silver screen, his many credits include Three Kings, Super Troopers 1 & 2, and Chappaquiddick. 2019 was Gaffigan's biggest year to date with an astonishing eight films releasing, three which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival including Troop Zero with Viola Davis and Alison Janney , Them That Follow and Light From Light - with many festival goers and press calling Gaffigan the "King of Sundance."

Jim Gaffigan , the comedian from Indiana, was performing live at the DTE Energy center. I would say that his performance highlighted his unique style. Jim speaks really well, and I can appreciate that as did every member in the audience. He was in tune with the audience who were always very amused or laughing a lot. His performance was very good, cracking jokes about being a father of many and being from Indiana. His jokes would be funny to almost everyone, that’s just the guy he is. You can be from any place and you would be laughing at his comedy wholeheartedly. His type of jokes are just relatable to any person, from any walk of life in my opinion. He is not only a gifted comedian, he entertains and is in sync with the crowd. It feels like we are all having fun together. The performance was outside, and many hundreds crowded around to hear his amazing performance. It felt very relaxed sitting by the comedian or just sitting on the grass a bit further away. Overall, it was just quality entertainment. His jokes are very relatable and you’ll find yourself laughing and having a god time for certain.

Fathertime’s founder/father, Jim Gaffigan

Like every baby, Fathertime bourbon started as just a twinkle in a father’s eye. That eye was mine and like most births it was a whirlwind. Over the last decade my wife Jeannie and I have grown to really “appreciate” an occasional bourbon. I guess having teenagers made us welcome any momentary break from the reality of parenting future adults. If you have children, you know what I mean.

Like many of you reading this, I fell in love with bourbon – the culture, the history, and of course the spirit. And even though I’d been approached by a few big companies, I never seriously considered doing my own “celebrity spirit.” Mainly because I don’t think I’m a celebrity. But also because, even though I was flattered, the idea always felt false. I couldn’t do a tequila, I don’t even drink tequila. Even when I was approached about doing a whiskey, I was still hesitant. I would never want to put something out that I wouldn’t want to drink myself.

After the most recent time I was pitched on a spirits deal, I thought “Why don’t I just try and do something myself? That might make it less cringy and I’d be able to personally guarantee it won’t taste like garbage.” If the whole project fails, at least it will be on me. So I considered it a long shot when I reached out to Stu Pollard, a college friend from Louisville who is an indie film director and also, as it turns out, a fellow bourbon lover. Stu was intrigued by the idea and off we went.  And here we are today with Fathertime bourbon.

I’m (obviously) not a bourbon expert. But I did do my research and I know what I like. I hand picked the bourbon and personally signed every bottle of Fathertime. And no, there isn’t some big spirit company behind this adventure. It’s just me and a buddy from college. We got tons of help from smart bourbon people and we’re proud of what we’ve created. We hope you enjoy drinking it as much as we do.

It’s a gamble but then again so is parenting.

Who is behind Fathertime?

It’s just me, Jim Gaffigan and my college buddy film director Stu Pollard.  We’ve had tons of help making Fathertime happen, but the investment and all decisions were made by us.

What does "precious batch" even mean? The price is making Dad angry?

Fathertime is a “Precious batch” or “a small batch” bourbon meaning a very limited number of bottles are available.  This was done by design.  The bourbon was hand selected by me and blended by experts and put in nice bottles with a meticulously designed label.  This is just me and Stu doing this. There is no big corporation behind us. Every detail of Fathertime has been curated by Jim Gaffigan with the help of Stu Pollard.

Why Quote Glasses?

We don’t recommend drinking Fathertime directly from the bottle but if you have teenagers you may occasionally feel the desire to do so. There are 4 hand-crafted quote tumblers inscribed with parenting lines from Jim Gaffigan. Fathertime Bourbon is dedicated to fathers and all parents.  I also understand not all parents drink alcohol but what parent doesn’t enjoy a glass with a quote complaining about parenting.

Who are those guys on the bottle?

On the front of this bottle, you will find my grandfather Joseph Patrick Gaffigan, a man I never met but whose sacrifice changed my life. Joseph taught himself to make and sell dentures, breaking a cycle of Gaffigan men working in coal mines that had existed since my family arrived in America in the mid 1800s. Joseph is the father of my father Michael Ambrose Gaffigan(back label top). Michael was the first in our family to go to college and he pulled our family into the middle class. I imagine Michael was a complicated son to Joseph, just as I was a complicated son to Michael. Having been a father for 20 years to five children, I’ve experienced my own series of complications. I’ve learned so much and will continue to learn. The only thing I know for certain is that a father’s joy is earned. In the lower right of the back label is a photo of me and how a man looks after a couple decades of being the father to five children. Yes, there are more Easter eggs on the label. No, we are not going to tell you what they mean.

What does Fathertime even mean?

This precious batch bourbon is named Fathertime, not after that bearded fella who is the personification of time, nor the special moments a man spends with his children, but for the occasional brief period of peace and reflection every hard-working father earns. It is my belief that the mother is often the hero of the story. When someone becomes famous, they buy their mom a house. The father is lucky if he gets an invitation for lunch. This bourbon is presented as a tribute or a salve to the unheralded paternal sacrifice of the men who show up and try their best. Fatherhood is the most important job men with children will ever fail at.

Jim Gaffigan is a seven-time  Grammy  nominated comedian, actor, writer, producer, two-time  New York Times  best-selling author, three-time  Emmy  winning top touring performer, and multi-platinum-selling recording artist. He is known around the world for his unique brand of humor, which largely revolves around his observations on life. Tickets for his  Barely Alive Tour  are currently available at JimGaffigan.com 

Gaffigan is a top ten comedian according to Forbes’ 2019 comedy list and top ten earning comedian in Pollstar’s 2022 list. He released his 10 th  comedy special,  Dark Pale , this year on Amazon Prime Video, an unprecedented achievement for the comedian/actor.   Dark Pale  was met with critical fanfare with The New York Times calling it, ‘his best yet.”

In 2021 Gaffigan released his 9 th  special,  Comedy Monster,  on Netflix which was nominated for a Grammy Award.  He was also recently awarded for being the first comedian to reach one billion streams on Pandora. 

Gaffigan can currently be seen as the lead in the well-reviewed Sci-Fi dramedy,  Linoleum , and stars as Mr. Smee in Disney’s  Peter Pan and Wendy , opposite Jude Law and Yara Shahidi. He will also co-star Jerry Seinfeld, Melissa McCarthy, James Marsden, and Hugh Grant in Netflix’s  Unfrosted , and co-stars in  Susie Searches  which premiered at TIFF last year and in theaters this summer. Also premiering this summer, Gaffigan joined the cast of HBO Max’s  Full Circle,  a limited series from Steve Soderbergh and Ed Solomon which follows an investigation into a botched kidnapping connecting multiple characters and cultures in present day NY. 

On the silver screen, his many credits include  Three Kings ,  Super Troopers 1 & 2 , and  Chappaquiddick . 2019 was Gaffigan’s biggest year to date with an astonishing eight films releasing, three which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival including  Troop Zero  with Viola Davis and Alison Janney,  Them That Follow  and  Light From Light  – with many festival goers and press calling Gaffigan the “King of Sundance.”   Gaffigan was also recently heard in Disney/Pixar’s highly anticipated animated film,  Luca,  opposite Jacob Tremblay and Maya Rudolph. 

Gaffigan also had two films recently in which he debuted as the lead. The comedic film  Being Frank , and  American Dreamer , a dark thriller which was the grand finale of 2019 for Jim and features him as a ride share driver who moonlights as a private driver for a drug dealer. 

Gaffigan can also currently be seen opposite Ethan Hawke in IFC Films  Tesla,  as well as opposite Josh Hartnett in Saban Films’  Most Wanted.

In addition to two seasons of the critically acclaimed semi-autobiographical  The Jim Gaffigan Show , which he wrote and produced with his wife Jeannie, Gaffigan has guest starred on many television comedies and dramas, ranging from  Portlandia  and  Bob’s Burgers  to the HBO cult hits  Flight of the Concords  to dramatic roles in  Law & Order.   

Gaffigan regularly does humorous commentaries on  CBS Sunday Morning  for which he has won 3 Emmys.  In 2018 Jim served as master of ceremony at  The Al Smith Memorial dinner .  In 2015, Gaffigan had the great honor of performing for Pope Francis and over 1 million festival attendees at the  Festival of Families  in Philadelphia .   

Gaffigan and his wife currently live in Manhattan with their five loud and expensive children.

Jim Gaffigan is a seven-time Grammy nominated comedian, actor, writer, producer, two-time New York Times best-selling author, three-time Emmy winning top touring performer, and multi-platinum-selling recording artist. He is known around the world for his unique brand of humor, which largely revolves around his observations on life.

The Gold Section is reserved seating. The Silver Section is general admission seating, first come, first served. The Bronze Section is general admission seating, first come, first served.
