The Spanish heritage tour we took through Momentum Tours and Travel in October 2015 was really well planned and carried out. We saw a lot, had excellent local guides, and travel was efficient. Some meals were included and they were always plentiful and good. Hotels were good with one exception. Before the trip I had some problems with Momentum's communication with me and their provision of timely information, but the trip more than made up for it.

A fixture on Canadian television for more than 15 years, Adrienne served as host of her own daily fashion and beauty program, and as a regular contributor on many others. After taking a ‘life-changing’ trip to Israel, she found herself captivated by the spiritual wisdom of Judaism, and wanted to share that wisdom! Adrienne spent 15 years as Senior Lecturer and Community Liaison for The Village Shul in Toronto while also lecturing around the world. Welcome to Israel! Begin your journey inward by mining the rich seam of timeless, relevant Jewish wisdom that is your birthright. Under the endless clear skies and waving palm trees of the Negev, you’ll finish the day with a nourishing dinner, stargazing, and a restorative sleep in the luxurious Kedma Hotel.

Embrace the adrenaline only the desert can deliver with exhilarating off-road Jeeping across the spectacular Ramon Crater and an exclusive tour of an Israeli Air Force base. Then, head into Tel Aviv to learn with Momentum Educators, network with new sisters, and explore the neon-lit neighborhoods of this beachside city.

What does courage mean to our people – and how might you find it for yourself? Embrace Israel’s courageous contributions to the Jewish people – and to the modern world – with visits to the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, the Peres Center for Peace, Na Laga’at, and the Asif Culinary Institute.

In the morning, the city of Tel Aviv is your playground as you sing, dance, eat, laugh, and explore during immersive, multi-sensory experiences at Guru Zuzu and the Ethiopian Heritage Center. Then, depart for Jerusalem, Israel’s capital and spiritual center, for your first glimpse of the Western Wall and time to dine together in the Old City.

Jerusalem welcomes you with golden stones, rich history, and open arms. As Shabbat approaches, visit the Heichal Shlomo Jewish Heritage Center and immerse yourself in the hustle and bustle of Shabbat preparations. Canadian cyclist Derek Gee carries momentum into upcoming Tour de France debut

Ottawa native fresh off 3rd-place finish in 8-day criterium du dauphine stage race.

Ottawa's Derek Gee is headed to his first Tour de France, alongside fellow Canadians Hugo Houle and Guillaume Boivin on the Israel-Premier Tech team.

Gee is coming off a third-place finish in the Criterium du Dauphine, an eight-day stage race considered a key warm-up for the Tour. It marked his first WorldTour general classification podium.

"I'm unbelievably excited to be lining up at my first Tour," Gee said in a statement. "It's truly a childhood dream to race the Tour de France, and I can't wait to experience the atmosphere of the biggest race in the world.

"The dream would be to win a stage and try to follow what Hugo and Mike [Woods] have done for Canada at this race in the last few years."

An emotional Houle won Stage 16 of the 2022 Tour, pointing to the sky as he crossed the finish. Houle dedicated the win to younger brother Pierrik, who died in December 2012 when he was hit by a drunk driver while jogging. He was 19.

Woods, who finished third behind Houle that day, went on to win Stage 9 of the 2023 Tour.

Israel-Premier Tech is after more of the same in this year's race, a 3,498-kilometre trek that starts June 29 in Florence and ends July 21 in Nice.

"The main goal is to win a stage," said sports director Steve Bauer, a fellow Canadian who raced in the Tour nine times between 1985 and 1995. "It's a clear goal that certainly 21 other teams have as well. We have a strong, balanced and versatile team with riders able to shine in different terrains, giving us potential to be competitive throughout the race as the Tour evolves stage by stage. The competition will be fierce, but I believe in the group we are bringing to this Tour."

"The Tour is never easy, but we know we have guys who can win," added Bauer.

Canadian connections

He should know. Bauer fourth overall in 1988, winning Stage 2 and spending five days in the leader's yellow jersey. In 1990, he wore the yellow jersey for nine consecutive days.

Israel-Premier Tech has plenty of other Canadian connections.

Canadian-Israeli entrepreneur Sylvan Adams is one of the team's owners. Canadians Jean Belanger, president and CEO of Premier Tech based in Riviere-du-Loup. Que., and Kevin Ham are also partners in the team.

Canadians Paulo Saldanha is the team's performance director. Israel-Premier Tech is also home to Canadian rider Riley Pickrell.

Gee won Stage 3 of the Criterium du Dauphine earlier this month, earning the right to wear the yellow leader's jersey in the general classification. He became the first Canadian to wear the leader's jersey since David Veilleux, who won the first stage in 2013 and held onto the lead for three days.

Houle finished 64th overall behind Gee. The 33-year-old from Sainte-Perpetue, Que., will be making his sixth straight appearance in the Tour.

It's a fourth consecutive Tour ride for the 35-year-old Boivin, from Montreal.

Gee was promoted to Israel-Premier Tech's WorldTour squad from its academy in May 2022. He signed a new long-term deal in June 2023 following his breakout performance at the Giro d'Italia.

Giro's 'super combative rider'

Competing in his first Grand Tour race, Gee finishing second four times and fourth twice in the 2023 Giro. He placed 22nd in the final general classification standings and was runner-up to Italy's Jonathan Milan in the points race and France's Thibaut Pinot in the King of the Mountains standings.

The Canadian was also honoured as the Giro's "super combative rider."

Israel-Premier Tech's other Tour riders are Germany's Pascal Ackermann, Denmark's Jakob Fuglsang, Latvia's Krists Neilands and Britain's Jake Stewart and Stevie Williams.

Stewart, making his Tour debut and Boivin are set to help Ackermann in the sprints, while Fuglsang and Neilands help in the mountains.

Williams, making his Tour debut, won the Tour Down Under and Fleche Wallonne earlier this season.

Ackerman is also making his Tour debut but already has stage wins in the Spanish Vuelta and Giro d'Italia.

"I am pleased with our roster for this year's Tour," Adams said in a statement. "It was one of the toughest team selections we have ever had to make which speaks of the depth of our rider roster. Ultimately, our performance team was unanimous in making these selections, knowing we wanted a team geared toward hunting for individual stages, rather than a high placing on GC [general classification].

"For the third consecutive year, our roster will boast three Canadians, cementing our position as both Israel's and Canada's home programs."

Woods, who crashed out of the Giro, is healthy again and will race in the Spanish Vuelta, the third Grand Tour. He is due to compete in the Canadian Road Championship this weekend in Saint-Georges, Que.

Due to the Paris Olympics, the Tour will not finish in the French capital for the first time. This year's race will take the 176 riders through Italy, San Marino, Monaco and France.

The race features prize money of 2.3 million euros ($3.4 million US) with 500,000 euros ($731,640) going to the general classification winner.

Momentum Tours & Travel, Inc. (Florida License # ST35769), is the designated Tour Operator for all tours unless otherwise mentioned.

Prices All listed prices are per person and based upon double occupancy. For travelers choosing single rooms, single supplements will apply. Rates listed are based upon today’s exchange rates. In case of currency fluctuation of more than 3% and/or fuel surcharges, we reserve the right to adjust all rates without further notice.

Land only packages All tours are sold as land only packages. However, we are pleased to assist with booking flights. We are under no circumstances responsible for flight delays or cancellations.

Reservations To make a reservation, please fill out the supplied registration form. The form must be clearly readable. Passport information is required prior to the departure. If you do not know your passport number at this stage, we will request it later. A $300 deposit per person is required. The deposit can be paid with check, bank transfer, or credit card. The registration form and deposit must be forwarded to Momentum Tours & Travel, and confirmations are only given upon receipt of the registration form and deposit.

Final Payments Upon receipt of the registration form and deposit, a pro-forma invoice specifying the full payment amount will be issued. Final payment (for most tours) is  due 90 days prior to the departure. We reserve the right to cancel a reservation if final payment is not timely received and impose the published cancellation fees. For payments made with credit card, a 3.8% fee will be added to the total.

Cancellations and Refunds Should you need to cancel your tour, we will refund your payment less the following cancellation fees: Up to 90 days prior to the departure: No fee 89 to 60 days prior to the departure: $300 per person 59 to 30 days prior to the departure: $1200 per person 29 days or less prior to the departure: Full payment Please note, other suppliers, such as airlines, might impose additional cancellation fees. Some tours may require different rules for payments and refunds.

Minimum number of participants The minimum number for each departure varies from tour to tour. Please check the minimum number required for each tour. In the event the required number has not been reached, the tour can be cancelled. Should this occur, we will refund your deposit and payment in full.

Changes & special arrangements If you want a tour to be reserved for you and your party exclusively, we can accommodate your wish unless other bookings have been made prior to your request. To make one of our published tours private, please note the following: A private tour can be confirmed either at the published cost, or with an additional cost, pending the tour If you want to customize your own tour, we always offer the best rate possible based upon the program

Travel Protection Plans We strongly recommend that each traveler purchase a Travel Protection Plan (Travel Insurance). Information about Travel Protection will be forwarded upon request and will be included in the confirmation information after receiving registration for a tour.

Passports & visas Each participant must possess a U.S. or Canadian passport valid for at least 6 months after the tour has been completed. If a visa is required, it is each traveler’s responsibility to obtain the visa. Necessary documents required and instructions of where to apply will be provided. Momentum Tours can under no circumstances be held responsible for a missing visa.

(hereinafter “Tour Operator”) and/or its representatives shall act only as independent contractors for various and independent suppliers of services in connection with its tours in making arrangements for accommodation, transport, meals, or any other service, and does not assume any liability whatsoever for any injury, inconvenience, expense, damage or loss of property, death, cancellation, change in itinerary, accident, irregularity or delay due to an act of negligence of, or default of, any hotel, carrier, restaurant, company or person rendering any of the services included in the tour, or by an act of God. Further, the Tour Operator is not responsible for any damage or delay due to sickness, pilferage, labor disputes, machinery breakdown, quarantine, government restraints, weather or any other causes. No responsibility shall be incurred for any additional expense, omissions, delays, re-routing or other acts of any government or other authority. The airline, steamship and railroad companies concerned are not responsible for any act, omission, or event, during the time passengers are not on board their planes or conveyances. The passenger contract issued by the airlines, steamship and railroad companies, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between such companies, and the purchaser of these tours and/or passengers. All baggage is at the owner’s risk throughout the tours, and the Tour Operator is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to baggage. The right is reserved to withdraw any tour listed herein, and/or to make such changes in the tour as may be found desirable for the convenience, comfort and/or welfare of the parties and the proper carrying out of the tour, without any penalty to the Tour Operator. Additional expenses, if any, will be borne by the passenger. In certain circumstances, it may be necessary to revise the routing of the itinerary. If due to such circumstances a change becomes necessary in the sole opinion of the Tour Operator, hotels substituted shall be of the same quality as those listed in the itinerary. The Tour Operator assumes no financial liability for any resulting losses, expenses, or inconvenience. No refunds will be made for portions of transport, tours, rooms, or meals, and no credit can be allowed for unused accommodation. The full tour cost will be refunded, however, if the entire tour is cancelled by the Tour Operator prior to the published departure date. The Tour Operator reserves the right to decline to accept any person as a member of the tour, or to request any participant to withdraw from a tour at any time, when such action is determined by the a representative or tour manager to be in the best interests of the safety and general welfare of the tour group or of the individual participant. Unless otherwise noted, all prices are per person, based on two persons sharing a hotel room (or cabin). Prices are based on rates in effect (including foreign exchange rates) at the time of printing and are thus subject to increase or decrease without notice. The Tour Operator is not responsible for any typographical errors and/or other inadvertently written errors.
