Unikatowe białe lwy i tygrysy!

Ogród Zoologiczny w Borysewie to wyjątkowa miejscówka, w której staniesz oko w oko z dzikimi zwierzętami z całego świata! W Zoo Safari Borysew spotkasz około 500 zwierząt z 5 kontynentów, reprezentujących 90 gatunków . Szczególnie mocno zaznaczają się tutaj przedstawiciele Czarnego Lądu, wśród których prym wiodą najbardziej pożądane i unikatowe białe lwy. Ale na turystach i na mnie ogromne wrażenie robią też potężne białe tygrysy bengalskie!

Koniecznie zajrzyj do tych wielkich kotów podczas karmienia, bo wtedy zamiast wylegujących się "maskotek" zobaczysz aktywne, dzikie zwierzęta i zajrzysz im do paszczy 🙂 Wśród zwierząt powiezie Cię kolorowa Zoo Kolejka, pociąg na kółkach, który sprawi, że poczujesz się jak na safari 😉

Zwierzęta w Zoo Safari Borysew

Zoo Borysew pozwala podziwiać zarówno bardzo groźne zwierzęta, jak i te łagodne, a nawet milusińskie. Z tych groźnych, poza lwami i tygrysami zobaczysz tu pumę, wilki białe czy serwale. Ciekawostką jest spora liczba krokodyli . Wśród łagodnych zwierzaków żyją antylopy różnych gatunków, żyrafy siatkowe, wielbłądy, bawoły indyjskie i afrykańskie, kilka gatunków zebr, strusie, kangury, tapir, różnorodne małpy, lemury czy żółwie.

Jest też zabawna foka szara o imieniu Dawid. Jest wielka i ma 20 lat, a więc pół życia za sobą. Świetnie prezentuje się podczas pokazowego karmienia , które jest zarazem treningiem medycznym, kiedy ogląda się całe ciało zwierzęcia, oczy, uszy czy zęby.

Wybiegi i pokazowe karmienia

Z każdym rokiem poprawia się byt zwierząt w borysewskim zoo, wybiegi stają się coraz bardziej pomysłowe i wygodne dla zwierząt, ale również dla turystów, którzy w bezpieczny sposób mogą z bliska podglądać zachowanie zwierząt. Po to są również karmienia pokazowe, to nie są główne posiłki zwierząt, które spożywają już po zamknięciu zoo, w spokoju, a jedynie sposób na ich aktywizację, aby zwiedzanie było ciekawsze i przyjemniejsze.

Godziny poszczególnych karmień pokazowych są stałe i są one wypisane na stronie Zoo, warto przynajmniej kilka z nich zobaczyć na własne oczy będąc w Zoo Safari Borysew. Najlepiej wydrukować sobie listę karmień i spacerować zgodnie z nią, my tak zrobiliśmy i zobaczyliśmy dzięki temu znacznie więcej ciekawych zdarzeń 🙂

Mini zoo w Borysewie

Za kinem i lodami koniecznie trzeba zajrzeć do mini zoo, gdzie małe kózki, owieczki czy króliczki czekają na małe rączki do głaskania 🙂 Dzieci uwielbiają bliski kontakt ze zwierzątkami, a tutaj bezpiecznie mogą się do nich zbliżyć. Zwierzęta w tej zagrodzie są oswojone i przyzwyczajone do kontaktu z ludźmi, nawet tymi krzykliwymi 😉 W tak fajnym Zoo, jakim jest Zoo Safari Borysew nie mogło zabraknąć mini zoo, wszak to największa frajda dla najmłodszych. Poza karmieniem i fotografowaniem się ze zwierzątkami, mini zoo oferuje przejażdżkę na kucyku.

Zaraz obok nowoczesna technologia kina 7D pozwala doświadczyć przygody wszystkimi zmysłami, a Cinecoaster 7D umożliwi podróż przez „Tajemnicze Podziemie” a nawet ekscytujące spotkanie oko w oko z groźnym rekinem.

Zoo Borysew - Świat Wodny

Od kilku lat w Zoo Safari Borysew czeka na turystów wspaniała wyspa, sztucznie utworzona , by pokazać osobny świat wodnych zwierząt, ale też wypocząć w bliskości wody. Świat Wodny w Borysewie to cudowne miejsce, z drewnianymi tarasami i ławeczkami. Na wyspie i z wyspy nie tylko pooglądasz zwierzęta - małpy, pawie, aligatory czy... o dziwo bydło, ale też napijesz się kawy czy zjesz lody, a do tego można popływać na rowerkach wodnych w kształcie łabędzi i kaczorów . Nie mogliśmy sobie odmówić tej przyjemności 🙂 Gości na wyspie wita bardzo miły i towarzyski pelikan jak i ponad 40 różnorodnych kaczek i gąsek . W akwenach wodnych są również  karpie królewskie i karpie koi 🙂

Zoo Safari Borysew to miejsce dla wszystkich, którzy kochają dzikie zwierzęta, kontakt z naturą, doskonałą zabawę i dreszczyk emocji. Wizyta w Zoo to niezapomniana frajda dla całej rodziny.

Zoo Safari Borysew - lokalizacja

Zoo Safari Borysew znajduje się w samym centrum Polski, w zachodniej części województwa łódzkiego, w niewielkim Borysewie koło Poddębic. Dojedziesz tu drogą nr 72 z Łodzi lub Uniejowa , dość blisko stąd również do autostrady A2. Na miejscu działa gastronomia i to w kilku punktach, jest też figlarnia dla dzieci pod dachem.

Zoo Safari Borysew - historia

Zoo Safari Borysew powstało w sercu Polski w sierpniu 2008 roku, jako Sawanna nad Nerem. Na 15 ha mieszkało tu wówczas 30 gatunków dzikich zwierząt i głównie skupiało się na zwierzętach afrykańskich. Wkrótce na świat przyszedł pierwszy w Polsce Osiołek Poitou.

W kolejnych latach pojawiły się tu unikatowe zwierzęta będące symbolem tego miejsca - w 2009 roku zamieszkały tu Białe Tygrysy Bengalskie, a w 2011 roku do białego tygrysa Arona dołączył Sahim - pierwszy biały lew w Polsce! W tym samym 2011 roku Sawanna zyskała statut Zoo, a Regionalna Organizacja Turystyczna przyznała dla Ogrodu Zoologicznego Safari Borysew Certyfikat jako najlepszego produktu turystycznego województwa łódzkiego.

W 2012 roku Sahim doczekał się partnerki, bo w zoo zamieszkała Azira - pięciomiesięczna biała lwica. Zarówno lwy, jak i tygrysy powiększyły dziś swe stada 🙂 Wtedy też zaczęła po Zoo w Borysewie jeździć Zoo Kolejka, która mieści 50 osób i wozi turystów wśród zwierząt, niemal jak na safari, nawet przy niesprzyjającej pogodzie.

Obecnie Zoo Safari Borysew zajmuje 25 hektarów i prezentuje aż 500 zwierząt egzotycznych reprezentujących 90 gatunków z 5 kontynentów. Tak spełniło się marzenie pomysłodawcy Zoo - Pana Andrzeja Pabicha, który dzięki swej determinacji pokonał wiele przeszkód i stworzył wspaniałe zoo safari w centrum Polski, które nadal zamierza rozwijać.

Nocleg w okolicy Borysewa

Podróżując po województwie łódzkim, spaliśmy w  Stajni Bocianie Gniazdo  w Wieleninie, leżącym 6 km od Term Uniejów . Bliziutko, a totalnie na uboczu, wśród pól i przyrody, z bliskością koni, z możliwością konnych jazd. My spędziliśmy w Stajni 3 noce i jesteśmy zauroczeni tym miejscem. Nowe, 4-6 osobowe domki murowane są komfortowe, z nową łazienką, klimatyzacją i w pełni wyposażonym aneksem kuchennym. Każdy Gość Bocianiego Gniazda ma dostęp do własnego grilla i stołu na tarasie. Skorzystaliśmy z tej możliwości 🙂 Na terenie obiektu jest też trampolina i staw, a wkrótce powstanie sala zabaw dla dzieci.

Zoo Safari w Borysewie i Uniejów

Warto zrobić sobie przerwę w Chełmnie nad Nerem (jeszcze województwo wielkopolskie). Znajdował się tutaj w czasie wojny obóz zagłady. Zaraz przy ulicy w lesie znajduje się duży pomnik upamiętniający pomordowanych. W małym baraku jest muzeum ze znalezionymi rzeczami. Dalej w lesie możemy zobaczyć ruiny krematorium. Warto zatrzymać się i złożyć hołd pomordowanym ludziom. Jest to też doskonała lekcja historii dla naszych dzieci.

Z dojazdem nie powinno być problemu. Od Uniejowa droga jest dość dobrze oznakowana. Przed Zoo jest duży bezpłatny parking. Obok parkingu są bezpłatne toalety. Nie ma problemu z wjechaniem do nich wózkiem. Jest też toaleta przystosowana dla osób niepełnosprawnych. Wszystko jest ładne, czyste i zadbane. Jest też Grill Bar. Jedzenie smaczne, a ceny przystępne. Warto zabrać ze sobą prowiant i zrobić sobie piknik już w środku. Są do tego przystosowane miejsca. Na terenie zoo jest też drewniany domek dla matek z małymi dziećmi, gdzie można w ciszy i spokoju nakarmić czy przebrać dziecko.

W Zoo Safari mieszka 90 gatunków zwierząt. Możemy zobaczyć jedynego w Polsce białe lwy i tygrysy. Oprócz zwierząt drapieżnych są jeszcze zebry, foki, alpaki, krowy zebu, wielbłądy, osiołki czy małpy itd. Zwierzęta same podchodzą do siatek, szukają kontaktu z ludźmi, zawsze chętne na źdźbło trawy (jednak ostrożności nigdy za wiele). W określonych godzinach odbywa się karmienie zwierząt, w którym można uczestniczyć.

Na terenie zoo jest plac zabaw dla dzieci – Figlarnia (mała i duża). Płatne osobno. Czas pobytu na nich jest nieograniczony. Jest 9 metrowa zjeżdżalnia, dmuchany tunel w kształcie gąsienicy (mój 3-latek był zachwycony). Można poskakać na trampolinie czy zanurzyć się w basenie z piłeczkami. Dla maluszków też jest bogato wyposażony plac zabaw. Należy pamiętać o napojach, bo w kiosku obok Figlarni ceny są bardzo wysokie. My nasze zostawiliśmy w samochodzie, ale nie było problemu, żeby wyjść z terenu zoo i wrócić (dostaliśmy adnotację na bilecie). Z Figlarni dzieci nie mogą wychodzić.

Obok placu zabaw jest mini zoo. Wstęp jest bezpłatny. Jest też bardzo dużo zwierząt : owieczki, kózki miniaturki, świnki wietnamskie itd. Można pojeździć na kucykach szetlandzkich. Mnie urzekła śliczna alpaka z wystającym zębem i super fryzurą.

Po zoo w drodze powrotnej można , a wręcz należy zatrzymać się w Uniejowie – Mieście Wody, gdzie w 2008 roku otworzono Termy Uniejów. Kompleks basenowy znajduje się na świeżym powietrzu, czynny cały rok. W cenie biletu mamy łaźnie, sauny, tepidarium z podgrzewanymi leżankami. Doskonały relaks w wodzie termalnej. Można zamówić nocleg w Zamku Biskupów Gnieźnieńskich w ładnych XIV wiecznych komnatach . Pochodzić po XIX wiecznym parku czy wykąpać się w Warcie, jest tam mała plaża.

Możemy też zrobić sobie wycieczkę do Jeziorska, gdzie znajduje się największy zbiornik retencyjny w województwie łódzkim.

10 Najlepszych Atrakcji w Uniejowie

Uniejów jest małym miasteczkiem, położonym nad rzeką Wartą, w województwie łódzkim, z ciekawą historią i kilkoma ważnymi zabytkami. Jest też najmłodszym w Polsce uzdrowiskiem, bazującym na wodach termalnych. Zostały one odkryte w 2008 roku i od tego czasu miasto z mało znanego miejsca zamieniło się w znaczący w Polsce kurort, który co roku przyciąga kilka tysięcy turystów.

1. Uniejowskie termy

Dzięki nowoczesnym basenom termalnym stał się również popularnym miejscem przyciągającym kuracjuszy i turystów. Jak wiadomo kąpiel w gorących źródłach nie tylko relaksuje ale i leczy. Uniejowskie baseny, te zewnętrzne i osłonięte zasilane są leczniczą solanką termalną. Dzięki temu baseny funkcjonują przez cały rok, niezależnie od pogody. Woda wypływa z trzech odwiertów a jej temperatura sięga 68 stopni. Uniejowska solanka z powodzeniem leczy reumatoidalne zapalenie stawów a także jest pomocna przy schorzeniach ortopedycznych, dyskopatiach i nerwobólach. Przyjeżdżają tu również kuracjusze leczący gardła, nosy i uszy. Baseny to także raj dla najmłodszych. Znajdą tu lodową komorę, statek piracki i zjeżdżalnie. Dla dorosłych przygotowano gabinety masażu i sauny.

2. Kasztel Rycerski

Piękny zamek, w którym można znaleźć nocleg przyciąga co roku wielu turystów, którzy chcą chociaż kilka dni spędzić w tak magicznym miejscu. Zamek został tak zaprojektowany aby jak najlepiej odwzorował dawne siedziby rycerskie. Na podstawie archeologicznych odkryć udało się stworzyć wierną kopię. Wiele atrakcji czeka tu na najmłodszych. Mogą zobaczyć jak wyglądały rycerskie zabawy a nawet wziąć w nich udział. Na pewno ucieszy ich pokaz strzału z armaty i machiny oblężniczej. Na terenie zamkowym odbywają się biesiady, ogniska i różne zawody. Ciekawym doświadczeniem jest pokaz czerpania papieru. W części hotelowej znajdują się ręcznie wykonane meble. Na zakończenie dnia można wykąpać się w wielkiej drewnianej bali i skosztować oryginalnego pitnego miodu. Z zamkowej wieży roztacza się wspaniały widok na całą okolicę.

3. Zagroda Młynarska

łatwo ją rozpoznać już z daleka, ponieważ bramę wjazdową do niej stanowią dwa duże wiatraki. Obecnie znajduje się tu hotel i muzeum. Budynki stanowiące cały kompleks zostały przeniesione z innych miejscowości. Zwiedzający mogą zobaczyć wędzarnię, stodołę i stary piec do wypiekania chleba. Można wziąć udział w różnych warsztatach i pokazach. Na terenie obiektu można znaleźć ciekawy nocleg. Noc spędzona w takim wiatraku to naprawdę przygoda i to nie tylko dla dzieci. W tutejszej restauracji można bardzo dobrze zjeść a nawet poznać przepisy na niektóre potrawy. W zabytkowej stodole zgromadzono dawne pojazdy konne i narzędzia używane przez stolarzy i cieśli.

Rynek w Uniejowie może nie jest bardzo duży ale na pewno niezwykle klimatyczny. Już z drogi prowadzącej przez most na Warcie widać wieżę kościelną, która wnosi się przy samym rynku. 25 metrowa dzwonnica robi naprawdę duże wrażenie. Warto wstąpić do kościoła parafialnego pod wezwaniem Wniebowzięcia Marii Panny. To tutaj znajduje się sarkofag błogosławionego Bogumiła, który jest patronem miasta. Rynek pełen jest zieleni, krzewów, drzew i kwiatów. Liczne ławeczki zachęcają aby przysiąść i odpocząć. W pobliżu rynku stoi też pomnik upamiętniający obrońców Uniejowa w 1939 roku. Warto przystanąć na chwilę i zobaczyć zabytkową pompę wodną.

5. Browar Wiatr

Miejsce, które zapewne najbardziej zainteresuje amatorów złocistego trunku. Można tutaj zobaczyć jak powstaje piwo i poznać sekrety regionalnego trunku. W drugiej części budynku znajduje się restauracja z bogatym menu i oczywiście szeroki wybór lokalnych piw. Właściciele obiektu pomyśleli również o dzieciach i wydzielili dla nich specjalny kącik z zabawkami, książkami i wszystkim tym co może zainteresować najmłodszych.

6. Podgrzewany Park

Niewiele miast może się pochwalić podgrzewanymi ścieżkami w parku. Uniejów właśnie takie posiada, dzięki pokładom wód termalnych. Tutaj nawet zima wygląda inaczej. Parkowe alejki nie są przysypane śniegiem a turyści i mieszkańcy chętnie przechadzają się wśród drzew nawet późną jesienią i zimą.

7. Uniejów – aktywnie

Poza basenami i termami każdy może skorzystać z innych form aktywności na świeżym powietrzu. W okolicach miasta wytyczono szlaki rowerowe o różnym stopniu trudności. Wszystkie prowadzą przez najbardziej malownicze tereny. Są też ścieżki spacerowe i do nordic walking. W okresie letnim okolice Warty zamieniają się w miejską plażę, dla wszystkich tych, którzy od gorących źródeł wolą orzeźwiające kąpiele. Amatorzy sportów wodnych mogą się również wybrać na spływ kajakowy od Tamy na Jeziorsku do Uniejowa. Spływ trwa cały dzień i zapewne najbardziej ucieszy amatorów mocniejszych wrażeń, ponieważ na niektórych odcinkach rzeki, trzeba się wykazać umiejętnościami w sterowaniu kajakiem.

8. Zoo Safari

W pobliskich Poddębicach znajduje się Zoo, w którym można dowiedzieć się wielu rzeczy o życiu zwierząt. Podczas pokazowego karmienia opiekunowie dokładnie opowiadają o nawykach żywieniowych zwierząt. Wszystkie zwierzęta są bardzo zadbane i widać, że poświęca się im dużo uwagi. Klatki są tak ustawione, że można podejść bardzo blisko praktycznie do każdego zwierzaka. Najmłodsi mogą pojeździć na kucykach albo pobawić się na specjalnie zaprojektowanym placu zabaw.

A woman is in hospital after being attacked by wolves as she jogged through a zoo enclosure, normally off-limits to pedestrians, outside Paris. 

Police and prosecutors are investigating how the 37-year-old woman was seriously injured by three Arctic wolves early on Sunday morning.

The woman was bitten "on the neck, the calf and the back" at the Thoiry zoo around 40 kilometres west of the French capital, a source told AFP.

Another source told AFP the woman's injuries were not life-threatening.

The woman went out for a jog after spending the night with her family in a safari-style lodge at the zoo, according to initial investigations.

Zoo chief executive Christelle Bercheny told AFP the woman had entered the wolf enclosure on foot, a place normally "only accessible by car".

Ms Bercheny said there were signs reminding people of the "rules of survival" to be followed in the park.

"The behaviour of the animals in the reserves is that of animals in freedom or semi-liberty," she added. 

Lodges in the wolf zone, advertised on the zoo's website at between 220 and 760 euros ($354-$1,224) per night, promise "silence, rest and disconnection".

They offer "a one-of-a-kind, very intimate experience with the Arctic wolves you'll be able to see from the living room".

The woman "ended up in the safari zone, which is supposed to be restricted to cars. That's where she was attacked by three wolves," Maryvonne Caillibotte, chief prosecutor in Versailles, said.

It was not clear "whether she made a mistake or the trail wasn't clearly marked", she added.

First responders got to the scene "very quickly", the wolves were "moved away, then returned to their area".

A source familiar with the case said the woman must have got through "security systems, a trench and an electric fence supposed to keep the animals in".

The woman was bitten "on the neck, the calf and the back" at the Thoiry zoo around 25 miles west of the French capital, a source close to the case told AFP.

The woman was rescued after park attendants heard her screams as she was being attacked, the BBC reported .

Maryvonne Caillibotte, chief prosecutor in Versailles, had said the woman's life was in danger, but later Sunday a source told AFP her injuries were no longer life-threatening.

The woman, went out early Sunday morning for a jog after spending the night with her family in the safari-style lodge at the zoo, according to initial findings of the investigation.

CEO of Wow Safari Thoiry, Christelle Bercheny, told AFP that the woman had "crossed the American reserve on foot," a place normally "only accessible by car."

Bercheny said that there were signs reminding people of the "rules of survival" to be followed in the park.

"The behavior of the animals in the reserves is that of animals in freedom or semi-liberty," she added, referring to their reaction to the intrusion of a human.

Lodges in the wolf zone, advertised on its website at between 220 and 760 euros ($235-810) per night, promise "silence, rest and disconnection."

They offer "a one-of-a-kind, very intimate experience with the Arctic wolves you'll be able to see from the living room."

According to the zoo's website , the Arctic wolf is strictly carnivorous. "His sight, smell and hearing make him an outstanding hunter," says the zoo, which add that it houses a dominant female, a dominant male and their four cubs.

Arctic wolves, which are also called white wolves or polar wolves, are a subspecies of grey wolves that are found in the frozen landscape of the Arctic, according to the  International Fund for Animal Welfare.   "Unlike other wolves who have to deal with human encroachment every day, Arctic wolves have no intrinsic distrust of humans," the IFAC says. 

The woman "ended up in the safari zone, which is supposed to be restricted to cars. That's where she was attacked by three wolves," Caillibotte said.

It was not clear "whether she made a mistake or the trail wasn't clearly marked", she added.

First responders got to the scene "very quickly", the wolves were "moved away, then returned to their area", Caillibotte said.

The source familiar with the case said earlier the woman must have got through "security systems, a trench and an electric fence supposed to keep the animals in."

Police are investigating the incident.

Thoiry zoo was founded in 1968 by Paul de la Panouse, owner of a local chateau that has been in his family since the 16th century.

He recalled to the regional newspaper L'Independant in April how he initially stocked the zoo with a ship loaded with 120 animals brought from Kenya.

De la Panouse sold the zoo to a group of investors in 2018.

A woman staying at a French safari zoo was attacked by several wolves on Sunday after she entered a part of the zoo usually accessible only by car.

“Luckily the medical staff intervened very quickly and we were able to save this person,” the zoo’s CEO Christelle Bercheny told a press conference.

The attack took place at about 9.30 a.m. at the Thoiry zoological park in Yvelines, approximately 31 miles west of Paris, French affiliate TF1 said.

After staying the night at the park, the woman, 37, went out jogging and accidentally entered the safari zone, TF1 reported, adding the area was a seven-hectare space where animals, wolves and bears roam freely.

TF1 said it was while she was running that the wolves “pounced” on her, adding that she sustained “serious” injuries and was bitten on the neck, calf and back.

The woman was treated at the nearest hospital and her condition has now “stabilized” TF1 reported.

The zoo has launched an investigation.

A woman was reportedly attacked by three wolves in a French animal reserve when she stepped out for a jog in an area restricted to pedestrians.

The incident took place around 9am local time on Sunday, sources confirmed to the Le Parisien newspaper. Wolves reportedly bit the woman in the “neck, calf and back” at the Wow Safari Thoiry zoo in Yvelines, about 25miles (or 40km) west of the French capital, Maryvonne Caillibotte, the chief prosecutor in Versailles said.

The woman “ended up in the safari zone, which is supposed to be restricted to cars. That’s where she was attacked by three wolves ”, Ms Caillibotte said.

The unnamed woman – who several reports said was 37 years old – was staying with her family for the night in one of the accommodations offered on-site. Once she strayed inside the prohibited area, she was confronted by three wolves .

She was reportedly battling for life in an Intensive Care Unit in a hospital. However, later in the day, AFP reported that she was stable and recovering.

“We do not know at this stage whether the guest made a mistake or whether there was a problem with the signposts,” an unnamed police source told Le Parisien .

On Sunday morning, the woman “crossed the enclosure on foot”, a reserve “which is only accessible by car”, the chief executive officer of the Wow Safari Thoiry park, Christelle Bercheny, told reporters during a press briefing.

“Luckily the medical staff intervened very quickly and we were able to save this person,” Ms Bercheny said.

First responders got to the scene “very quickly”, the wolves were “moved away, then returned to their area”, Ms Caillibotte said.

The Resort offers different accommodation possibilities. It has camping houses and caravans with diversed types and standards. Accommodation offer is directed to individual customers and groups. Campground guarantees high media and sanitary standards.

Rafa Harbour offers launching, mooring and winterizing service for all kind of boats. It is situated in beautiful bay, which gives quiet and comfortable place to moor a boat both to the pier or to the shoreline. Water equipment offers sailboats, boats, kayaks, pedalos, engine pedalos and more other attractions. For the peaceful and quiet resting enthusiasts there is comfortable cruise ship waiting.

In the neighbourhood of The Resort there are Thermal Pools “Uniejów”, Safari Zoo in Borysew and a stud. Picturesque Jeziorsko Reservoir area is also a great place for trip fans (by foot, on a bike, horseback). South part of the reservoir is an ornithological reserve, where you can find over 250 birds species.

Planowanie pobytu z pupilem należy zgłosić mailowo i otrzymać zgodę na taki pobyt. W przypadku chęci przyjazdu z psem wymagane jest podanie rasy psa. Akceptacja zostanie potwierdzona mailowo w przesłanej Państwu rezerwacji. Pobyt pupila jest płatny zgodnie z cennikiem i objęty kaucją zwrotną w wysokości 500 zł. Kaucja zostanie zatrzymana w przypadku stwierdzenia zniszczeń lub pozostawienia domku w stanie wymagającym ponadstandardowego sprzątania lub prania.

Uwaga! Prosimy nie zabierać pupili bez otrzymania mailowej zgody na takie zakwaterowanie. Taki pobyt nie zostanie przyjęty.

Wolves maul woman at zoo in France

A woman who went for a jog in a driving-only safari section of a zoo park to the west of Paris was attacked by wolves Sunday and left with serious injuries.

The incident took place at the Thoiry zoo, 25 miles west of Paris, according to French media reports.

The 37-year-old woman from Paris, who has not been identified, was mauled by three wolves and bitten in the back, calf and neck, French broadcaster TF1 reported. She was rushed to hospital but her condition has stabilized, the broadcaster added.

The mauling victim spent the night prior to the attack at the zoo’s visitor accommodation and appears to have been attacked when she entered an area of the reserve only accessible by car and off-limits to pedestrians, the local channel reported. She was found by the zoo keepers, who heard her screams.

An investigation into the accident has been launched, according to the French media. 

Christelle Bercheny, President of the Wow Safari Thoiry group, said in a news briefing Sunday that the woman entered a zone where electrical barriers prevent animals from leaving, but don’t impede humans from getting in, according to reporting from the Le Parisien newspaper.

Visitors have “all the information” on the dangerousness of this area, and are given constant reminders, Bercheny added, noting that an internal investigation has also been launched.

The woman was staying at the safari park with her mother and baby, Le Parisien said. NBC News has reached out to the zoo and national police for comment about the incident, but has not heard back. 

On its website, the zoo says that it offers a safari “40 minutes from the Parisian jungle,” covering 90 hectares (around 222 acres) and is home to more than 750 animals, including Arctic wolves , native to northern Canada.  

The reserve offers open-air dining surrounded by wild animals and “immersive” experiences where people can stay overnight. That includes lodges where visitors have “the opportunity to relax and live a unique experience in complete privacy with the Arctic wolves that you can observe night and day from your living room.”

Taking A Walk Through The Park...

When you walk through the front gate at Timbavati Wildlife Park and pass the ticket booth you land right in the middle of the Waterfalls Area. This area is home to a lot of fowl. From our lesser flamingos to our beautiful black swans, we know feathers. 

Any way you walk out of the Waterfalls Area you can see our Safari Snack Shack.  Good food and cold drinks await!  After you’ve stopped for a snack you can hang a left and visit with our spider monkeys or you can take right and visit with our lions and other big cats in our Feline Center.

You’ll see our mini amphitheater where we have several Wildlife Presentations daily.

Goat Mountain is just down from the hill from our theater.  Home to our pygmy goats.

You may hear the nursery buildings.  The nurseries are teeming with all manners of new additions. Baby kangaroos to small reptiles, the nurseries have a lot of really cool little critters to see.  Fennec foxes, owl monkeys and cotton top tamarins are just examples of those that hang out in the nursery area. 

Our renowned Parakeet Encounter, Kangaroo Walkabout and popular red pandas are just a hop away from the nurseries.

You may choose to take a seat and ride through parts of Timbavati. The historic Old #9 is the centerpiece of our Safari Train Ride.  The ride takes you through exclusive pastures where you can see ostrich, aoudad, antelope and many other animals

The train traverses the Grasslands Area of the park bringing you within eyesight of Naasaha the rhinoceros, the second largest land mammal on the planet.

The Safari Train Ride makes a stop at our feeding deck where you can get off the train to visit with the tallest mammal in the world…the giraffe. Purchase some carrots at this stop to feed the giraffes and camels.  You can’t get much more up-close than this!

While on the train you’ll get a glimpse into the Woodlands Area.  H ome to our white emu, kudu, crowned crane, spur-thigh tortoise, wallaby and many more… Purchase a Park Admission experience everything the park has to offer!
