Taylor Swift is officially coming to Australia! Are you ready for it?

The award-winning artist is officially arriving on Aussie shores this week for The Eras Tour –  hitting up Melbourne and Sydney as part of her international tour that includes dates across North America, Europe and Asia.

Last year, Taylor confirmed she would be taking her music on the road with a whirlwind 52-stop tour of North America – featuring tracks from her debut album all the way to her latest release,  Midnights.

After an impressive stint in America, Taylor has confirmed she’ll be heading off on an international tour soon – with dates confirmed for those of us down under. Scroll through for everything you need to know, including how to get your hands on tickets.

In 2023 Taylor Swift announced her international dates and Aussie fans were delighted to learn Australia was on the list!

Which Australian Cities Will Taylor Swift Visit? 

Brace yourselves – one bit of news about Taylor’s upcoming Aussie tour isn’t the greatest. 

In 2023 The Courier Mail reported that “sources” say Taylor will only be performing in Sydney and Melbourne. 

The sources revealed that the popstar would be skipping Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide because of “time constraints and travel costs.” 

And it looks like the news was true!

With two separate presale events now finished and the general sale sold out – it’s safe to say many Swifties missed out. And it’s nothing to do with you, we promise! Turns out Ticketek’s waiting lounge didn’t queue fans chronologically. 

“Everyone in the Ticketek lounge has an equal opportunity to get into the site regardless of when they have arrived,” Adrian Digiacoma, a representative at Ticketek told PEDESTRIAN.TV. 

This explains why some people only waited 20 minutes for tickets, whilst others who jumped on early never got through. 

Fortunately for Swifties that missed out, Ticketek has released one last saving grace, with a new batch of partially obstructed side view tickets going on sale from 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 13. 

Ticket prices will start at $65.90 for H Reserve and will go up to $379.90 for A Reserve, with a strict limit of four tickets per customer. The resale also includes access to a variety of last-minute VIP packages and hotel and ticket packages, so be sure to join the queue here for your final chance to secure Eras Tour tickets!

If you missed out on the final flash sale, there’s still hope! In good news to literally everyone, Ticketek has opened their fan-to-fan resale for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour on Ticketek Marketplace. 

The sale, which kicked off at 10 a.m. AEDT on Friday, November 24th, will give Swifties who still haven’t got their hands on tickets the opportunity to purchase verified resale tickets from other fans who have purchased their Eras Tour tickets through Ticketek during the prior general sales and now wish to sell their ticket.

Do you need to bring a clear bag to the Eras Tour? 

As Taylor’s Aussie tour dates inch closer and closer, Frontier Touring has announced a few important details to ensure all fans have a great time. 

Gates will open at 4:40 pm and there is no reason to arrive earlier since all seating will be allocated. The Show will start at 6:20 pm.

You do not need a clear bag. Just make sure your bag is no larger than A4 in size. 

Download your ticket on the Ticketek app and do not bring iPads, GoPros, tripods, selfie sticks or drones. 

Friendship bracelets are allowed but must be worn on patrons’ arms. Signs must be smaller than 28cm-45cm.

Did Taylor release new music ahead of her Eras Tour?

Yes! On March 17, Taylor released four new tracks ahead of the start of her tour. Tay took to Instagram to announce the release of four new singles, including  Eyes Open (Taylor’s Version) ,  Safe & Sound (Taylor’s Version) ,  If This Was a Movie (Taylor’s Version)  and  All Of the Girls You’ve Loved Before.

During her appearance at the Grammys in February 2024, Taylor surprised everyone, announcing a brand new album titled The Tortured Poets Department, which is set to be released on April 19. 

Who is Taylor Swift’s support act?

Joining the pop star, at least for the US leg, will be: Paramore, Phoebe Bridgers, girl in red, MUNA, HAIM, beabadoobee, Gracie Abrams, GAYLE and OWENN.

Eras will mark Taylor’s first tour in five years, following her 2018 Reputation concert. That year’s highest-grossing music tour by a female artist saw the Getaway Car songstress joined by Charli XCX, Camila Cabello and more.

In Australia, Taylor will be supported by Sabrina Carpenter. 

When was Taylor’s last tour?

Taylor was meant to tour again in 2020 with Loverfest , but her plans were thwarted by COVID-19.

“This is an unprecedented pandemic that has changed everyone’s plans and no one knows what the touring landscape is going to look like in the near future,” she said in 2021.

Since 2018 – and the Reputation  tour – Taylor has built her discography substantially, releasing four new albums and two re-releases.

New music includes the albums:  Lover , Folklore , Evermore and, most recently, Midnights , while the re-releases include Taylor’s Versions of the old records   Fearless   and   Red.

The re-releases also included a slew of previously unheard ‘From The Vault’ tracks, meaning that the 33-year-old has dropped a total of 90 new songs, not including collaborations with HAIM, Big Red Machine, etc.

Will The Eras Tour Come To Australia?

Yes! At 2am on the 21 st June, along with other regions worldwide, Taylor Swift finally announced that she will be bringing her Eras tour to Australia with dates slated for Sydney and Melbourne. On the 29th June, following high demand at presale, two more dates were announced as follows:

• Melbourne MCG: Saturday, 17 February 2024
• NEW SHOW! Melbourne MCG: Sunday, 18 February 2024

Aussie Swifties have been waiting for this announcement ever since the Grammy award winning artist first announced the US tour dates. Adding fuel to the rumours, notorious Instagram gossip page DeuxMoi did hint that Australian fans could be in luck, sharing an anonymous tip that read:

“Dates have been booked for Taylor at the MCG in Melbourne, Aus. So, she’s definitely coming to Australia!”

What Other Countries Will Taylor Visit?

Initially, the Eras tour was slated for US locations only .

When Taylor announced the tour back in November 2022, she wrote, “I’m enchanted to announce my next tour: Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour, a journey through the musical eras of my career (past & present!).

“The first leg of the tour will be in stadiums across the US, with international dates to be announced as soon as we can!”

Fast forward to May 2023 and the first round of international dates were (finally) announced.

On May 2, 2023, Taylor shared the news that she would bring Eras to Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil. 

To top it off, she also announced that none other than Sabrina Carpenter would be the support act for the Latin American shows. Does it get much better than that?

Are Perth, Brisbane and Adelaide Getting Eras Tour Dates?

Taylor Swift has announced shows for Sydney and Melbourne only. Luckily, there are multiple dates in big stadiums, so if you live outside of those cities, now is the time to start saving for a trip to Sydney or Melbourne!

Yes! Following presale, Taylor Swift announced two more dates for the Eras Tour, one in Sydney (Monday 26 Feb 2024) and in Melbourne (Sunday 18 Feb 2024).

Supporting Taylor for her Australian dates is none other than Sabrina Carpenter. The American singer has recently wrapped her own headline US tour, Emails I Can’t Send Tour and was recently announced as the support act for Taylor’s Latin America tour dates. Taylor Swift has finally announced more dates for the Australian leg of her Eras Tour in February 2024. We’ve been making our friendship bracelets and waiting to scream “Let’s go, b*tch” for longer than we’d like to admit. Now, it looks like we finally have our full dates.

Let us not forget that fans have enjoyed four new albums since she last toured in 2018 ( Lover, Folklore, Evermore and Midnights ), along with her re-records, so it’s about time that ‘Blondie’ made her way back Down Under.

After announcing her US leg in November 2022, and Latin American leg on May 2 2023, we are more than excited to see that Australia is confirmed to also get to view the majesty of this three-and-a-half hour concert.

Taylor Swift announced the Aussie concerts writing, “EXCUSE ME HI I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY 🙋‍♀️ I can’t wait to see so many of you on The Eras Tour next year at these new international dates!”

Will Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Come To Australia?

Are you ready for it? Taylor Swift announced at 2am on the June 21, 2023 that she would return to Australia, alongside other regions worldwide, with the Eras Tour. The concert is slated to go to Sydney and Melbourne, with new shows added on the following dates:

TAYLOR SWIFT WILL BE HEADING TO MEXICO AND SOUTH AMERICA FIRST

On May 2, Swift announced that the first round of international dates would bring the Eras Tour to Latin America.

“Really thrilled to tell you this!! Mexico, Argentina and Brazil: We are bringing The Eras Tour to you this year! Sweet angel princess Sabrina Carpenter will be joining us on all of the shows!” she wrote on Instagram.

It’s a sweet gesture that Swift is prioritising Latin America in her Eras Tour, given she has only toured North America, Europe, Australia and Asia in her previous tours.

Where Else Is Taylor Swift Playing Internationally?

Taylor Swift will finish out 2023 in Latin America before moving to Japan in 2024 to start the new Asia/Oceania leg of her tour, which includes Japan, Australia and Singapore, before she darts to Europe.

Her European leg is slightly more extensive, starting in Paris, then Sweden, Lisbon, Madrid, Lyon, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff, London, Dublin, Amsterdam, Zurich, Milan, Gelsenkirken, Hamburg, Munich, Warsaw, Vienna with two more shows in London to finish.

Tiketek made an announcement for the new tickets on Thursday November 9.

“Due to the demand, additional tickets including partially-obstructed side view tickets will be released with prices starting from $79.90,” it read.

“Limited tickets across all the Australian concert dates will be available from Friday 10 November at 10am for Sydney and 4pm for Melbourne until allocations are exhausted.” HUGE!!!!!!!!!

Previously, the demand for the shows prompted Miss Swift to add TWO more Eras Tour Australia dates to her time Down Under.

The queen giveth, the queen provideth.

Miss Swift added an extra show in Melbourne on February 18, and another in Sydney on February 26.

This makes Taylor the first artist since Madonna in 1993 to perform three shows at the MCG. That’s fkn huge. 

Tickets for the extra shows went sale along with the original tickets back in June. While it wasn’t great news for our interstate hotties and pals in Aotearoa, it did give a little more hope to the hoards of people who missed out on pre-sale tickets.

If you missed out on tickets (sad), you can check out what resale sites are (and aren’t) recommended to buy tickets from . According to a Ticketek spokesperson, over four million people across Sydney and Melbourne were trying to snag tickets to see our glittery queen last time.

When is Taylor Swift coming to Australia?

Taylor Swift will be performing two Eras Tour gigs in Melbourne and three gigs in Sydney in February 2024.

When do Taylor Swift Eras Tour Australian tickets go on sale?

For those who were determined to be the first to get their grimy hands on Eras Tour tix in Australia, there were two pre-sale options. One was the American Express VIP package Pre-Sale which happened on June 26 and only sold VIP two packages — not general admission tickets.

After that, regular pre-sale and VIP tickets were available via Frontier Touring on Wednesday, June 28.

Unsurprisingly, the Frontier Member’s pre-sale was an absolute shit fight with many of us missing out.

General tickets went on sale Friday, June 30.

The new additional tickets will go on sale Friday, November 10. Sydney tickets will become available at 10am while the Melbourne allocation will be available at 4pm. What a time to be alive, my friends! Good luck to all!

What are the Taylor Swift ticket prices for Australia’s Eras Tour?

The  official set list  includes 44 songs (!!) and the Eras Tour is doing exactly what it promised — taking Swifties on a journey through all the musical eras of Taylor Swift.

OG fans will be thrilled to see bops like “Enchanted” and “Fearless” both making the cut for the setlist.

There are tracks off of her fourth studio album Red , including “I Knew You Were Trouble” and the 10-minute (yes,  10-minute ) version of “All Too Well”, so excuse me while I curl up into a ball and sob for the remainder of the day.

“Cruel Summer” also makes an appearance. I’ve never wanted to see someone dancing around on stage in a bedazzled leotard more in my life.

“Lavender Haze”, “Mirrorball” and “Style” are all confirmed for Eras and seriously, Taylor Swift knows what we want and she  gives it to us .

Even “You Belong With Me” got some air time. 12-year-old me is screaming .

Tracks from every single album appear to be making the cut. Why doesn’t every artist structure their live performances like this ?

And while many Aussies have been miffed over not having tour dates until 2024, there is a slight silver lining in that we might be able to see more songs from Speak Now (the best album, IMHO) on the setlist thanks to its re-release in July.

Why has there been so much drama over the location of Taylor Swift’s Australian Eras Tour shows?

Ooooh boy, there’s been a lot of whispers about the location of Taylor Swift’s Australian Eras Tour for months now.

It all kicked off from a Tweet posted in March when the oracular gossip site Deuxmoi hinted that Taylor Swift had already booked the country’s biggest stadium, the MCG, for her tour. 

“Dates have been booked for Taylor at the MCG in Melbourne, Aus. So she’s definitely coming to Australia!” the Tweet read.

Shortly after this, an anonymous individual claiming to work for the MCG sent the Shameless podcast a DM claiming TayTay is defs on her way.

“Hush Hush but I work for the MCG and dates have been booked in for Taylor,” they wrote.

Per the anon tea spiller, the “You Need To Calm Down” singer will be playing not one but TWO shows at the MCG.

Thankfully, they were right! Yahoo!

Is there any footage of the Taylor Swift Eras Tour?

For the last few months, Australians have been forced to watch footage from the Eras Tour unfold on TikTok, including vids featuring the likes of Hayley Williams ,  Gigi Hadid ,  and  Emma Stone straight-vibing. TBH, it’s had Aussie Swifties begging for a Taylor Swift Australia tour.

The Eras Tour kicked off on March 17 in the US, and based on the footage, it’s everything we wanted and more.

Taylor Swift has landed in Perth for the start of her Australian tour.

Swift will entertain over 40,000 Perth fans tonight at Optus Stadium, part of her “Reputation Stadium Tour” – a global trip running across most of 2018.

The pop star landed in Perth hours before her concert, updating her fans on Instagram this morning.

Swift will also perform in other major cities, with shows in Melbourne (October 26), Sydney (November 2) and Brisbane (November 6).

Adelaide fans are unfortunately missing out.

Taylor Swift announces Australian dates for The Eras Tour

Taylor Swift has announced her Australian dates for the much anticipated The Eras Tour, which is set to travel across the country in February 2024.

The American singer will be accompanied by special guest Sabrina Carpenter for the tour leg.

Swift will play two shows at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on February 16 and 17, and three shows at Sydney’s Accor Stadium from the 23rd to 25th.

Her most recent album, Midnights, was the No.1 album in Australia when it was released in 2022 featuring singles including Anti-Hero, Lavender Haze, Karma and Bejeweled.

The Eras tour is Swift’s sixth headlining tour and second all-stadium tour, a tribute to the different “eras” of her musical career.

Some of these eras include Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, Reputation, Lover, Folklore, Evermore and Midnights.

The world tour kicked off in Glendale, Arizona on March 17, 2023

American Express VIP Package pre-sale runs for 48 hours from Monday, June 26, from 10am for Sydney and 2pm for Melbourne or until pre-sale allocation is exhausted. For more information visit, www.Amex.com.au/Experiences .

Pre-sale tickets and VIP packages will be available via frontiertouring.com/taylorswift from Wednesday, June 28, from 10am for Sydney and 2pm for Melbourne.

General tickets will go on sale on Friday, June 30 at 10am for Sydney and 2pm for Melbourne.

Two VIP packages are available across both cities: It’s Been A Long Time Coming and Karma Is My Boyfriend VIP Packages.

These will be available in the American Express VIP Package pre-sale starting on Monday, June 26.

Ticketek tips to secure tickets

Events website Ticketek has the following advice for anyone wanting to secure tickets.

• Visit Ticketek at least 15 minutes prior to tickets going on sale. Follow the designated link for your desired city to be taken to the Ticketek Lounge.
• Don’t leave the Lounge page or refresh your browser. There is no need for fans to refresh their browser because it refreshes automatically. The page will refresh itself frequently to let more fans through to purchase.
• Once you’re in the Lounge, sit tight and wait to be let through to the event page. There’s no need to have multiple browsers open.
• Once you’re through, keep an eye on the timer and complete your purchase within the time frame.

Taylor Swift announces Sydney and Melbourne tour dates

Taylor Swift has announced Australian dates for her The Eras Tour, with multiple dates in both Sydney and Melbourne in February 2024.

Swift will play The Melbourne MCG on 16th and 17th of February, and then head to Sydney for three shows from 23rd -25th of February.

No dates for other Australian cities have been announced. Tickets go on sale on next week.

The singer last toured Australia in 2018 with her Reputation Tour. She played a massive show at Optus Stadium in Perth.

Since that outing Swift has released four more albums  Lover, Folklore, Evermore  and her most recent work  Midnights.  The singer has also been slowly re-recording all her previous albums.   

The massive tour kicked off in Glendale, Arizona in March this year is currently continuing its journey across the USA. August dates have been announced for Mexico, while in November Swift will play shows in Argentina and Brazil.

Swift will play for dates in Japan from February 7-10 and is locked in to perform in Singapore from March 2-4. The tour will then head to Europe from May until July next year.

The concert is broken up into nine acts and features 44 songs from across the singer’s career. Each show two surprise songs are featured in the show, meaning every date is a little bit different.

Swift’s Sydney shows will occur during the 2024 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras which runs from 16th February until 3rd March.

Dave Grohl Seemingly Snubs Taylor Swift's 'The Eras Tour'

Dave Grohl insinuated that, unlike Taylor Swift, the Foo Fighters "actually play live".

On Saturday night (22 June), Foo Fighters and Taylor Swift performed in London to their devoted audiences.

Besides her re-recorded albums, Swift has released 11 albums, and so have the Foo Fighters. It’s fair to say that when both acts play live, they perform songs from their respective “eras” – a result of a massive discography and willingness to perform for hours.

Despite their similarities, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl jokingly snubbed Taylor Swift’s epic Eras Tour and insinuated that the Love Story singer doesn’t perform live (she sings live, but some of her songs do require backing tracks).

Before the band launched into Statues , Grohl pointed out that Taylor Swift was performing nearby – at Wembley Stadium – as their show went on at London Stadium. His comment was met with boos, and he followed them up with, “I tell you, man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift.”

He added, “So we like to call our tour the ‘Errors Tour.’ We’ve had more than a few eras and more than a few fucking errors as well. Just a couple.

“That’s because we actually play live. What? Just saying. You guys like raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? You came to the right fucking place.”

As a Taylor Swift fan notes, Swifties have previously used the term “errors tour” when the singer would sing live but mess up the lyrics. You can watch the video below.

Consequence Of Sound reports Grohl's longstanding respect for Swift, including his praise for re-recording her albums to regain control of her masters. Whether or not his comments were in jest—albeit worded poorly and definitely riled up Swift’s fanbase—is up for speculation.

In a  live review  of Swift’s first show of the  Eras Tour at the MCG,  The Music ’s Christopher Lewis wrote, “ The Eras Tour  is, first and foremost, Taylor Swift’s victory lap. But at three and a half hours long, it’s a victory marathon.”

Meanwhile, The Music ’s Sam Mead said of Foo Fighters’ gig at HBF Park in Perth, “With a setlist lasting over two and half hours, this Foo Fighters experience isn’t for the faint of heart, but if your legs can last that long, you’re in for a treat spanning 30 years in the making.”

Taylor Swift brings Travis Kelce out on stage during Eras Tour concert at Wembley Stadium

Swift closed out her current london stint with a surprise guest on sunday night.

Travis Kelce has been making the rounds this offseason and spending plenty of time at his girlfriend’s sold-out concerts around the world after leading the Kansas City Chiefs to a Super Bowl win in February.

On Sunday, he took things a step further.

Kelce stunned fans at Wembley Stadium in London when he appeared on stage with Taylor Swift. Kelce joined dancers while wearing a black top hat and tailcoat during a segment right before she performed, “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” from her latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”

Kelce carried Swift to a couch on stage during a transition and helped her through a brief costume change while fanning her and making faces toward the crowd. Naturally, when fans realized what was happening, they lost it.

Kelce had already been spotted in London with Swift for earlier shows, along with plenty of other celebrities. The duo even met with Prince William and his two children as they attended her concert on Saturday.

Swift’s Eras Tour, which started in March 2023 in the United States, is set to wrap up in December. She's due in Dublin, Ireland, next weekend, and she'll return to Wembley Stadium in August for five more shows.

With Chiefs training camp not set to start for nearly a full month, Kelce has plenty of opportunities left to participate in the European leg of Swift’s massive tour.

Based on how Sunday's cameo went, he's going to be welcomed back whenever he wants in.

No WA show: Claims Taylor Swift ‘chose which cities to visit’ for The Eras tour deciding not to come to Perth

Taylor Swift made the final call on which cities to visit on her Australian tour, it has been claimed.

The US superstar’s shortlist emerged with no Perth show yet again in a second wave of tour dates for The Eras tour.

WA fans were left heartbroken a second time yesterday morning after additional dates were added to her show after Perth missed the first round.

But it was a disappointment yet again. Instead Swift handed Sydney and Melbourne fans an extra show each citing ‘unprecedented demand’ — despite already having five stadium shows between them in February.

Before the announcement organisers had insisted there simply wasn’t enough time to sandwich in a Perth show during her two-week stint in Australia.

Tour sources revealed the call to skip Perth allegedly landed with the star herself.

“With big tours like this, the directive would come from the artist,” a top touring source told The West.

“Taylor would have said, ‘I only have time to do two cities. I don’t have time to go around the country’. It’s a directive that comes from the artist.”

Others close to the star had previously insisted it was impossible for Swift to squeeze in a WA trip due to “global dates and production”. Swift is coming from Japan and then heading to Singapore straight after.

ASM Global Asia Pacific chairman Harvey Lister added: “There just wasn’t time to keep leapfrogging from city to city.”

“So the decision was taken to play in Sydney and Melbourne where the stadiums can take about 100,000 [attendees].”

But despite the extra attention given to New South Wales and Victoria this week, the insider added: “It’s not like the tour was set up to snub any city.”

The news was a fresh blow to Perth fans, who have been relegated to fork out four figures to travel over east to see their idol.

Many prepared to do so faced further misery waiting in an online queue of 800,000 for hours this week to land Sydney and Melbourne tickets.

“The two extra concerts should have been in Brisbane and Perth, not the same place, not that I would go anyway,” Rick Valenti posted.

The West Australian has reached out to Swift’s spokeswoman for comment.

Charli XCX has seemingly confirmed she’s not feuding with Taylor Swift, despite recent suggestions on social media that pointed to otherwise.

It’s been rumoured for weeks that Charli’s song Sympathy is a Knife is a dig at Swift, however, the British singer has seemingly rejected those theories after jumping to defend the star at her concert last night.

The singer defended her fellow pop star after one Swiftie called attention to “toxic behaviour” during Charli’s Saturday show at ZIGclub in São Paulo, Brazil.

In a video shared to Twitter, fans could be heard chanting “A Taylor morreu,” which is Portuguese for “Taylor is dead.”

After seeing the tweet, Charli took to Instagram Stories to defend Taylor, and lash out at the fans who were choosing to make such wild remarks at her show.

“Can the people who do this please stop? Online or at my shows,” Charli wrote on the story.

“It is the opposite of what I want and it disturbs me that anyone would think there is room for this in this community. I will not tolerate it.”

It comes just a week after fans of Charli slammed Swift, accusing her of deliberately blocking Charli’s album Brat from climbing the charts by releasing bonus editions of her album.

Social media had suggested it’s because Swift is angry at Charli over the song that’s rumoured to be about her, while others have claimed it’s just because even the mere association with Matt Healy, whom is the bandmate of Charli’s fiance, is enough to get Swift riled up and vengeful.

“Taylor Swift is psycho, she’s the cancer of the music industry, seriously, never seen such a fame-hungry and stats-obsessed “artist” in my life,” ranted one angry fan on Twitter.

“Swift is just beyond greedy, this is pathetic,” complained another.

It comes after legendary rocker Dave Grohl sparked backlash after he seemingly accused Swift of not performing live.

“I tell you, man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift,” he said. “So we like to call our tour the ‘Errors Tour’. We’ve had more than a few eras, and more than a few f***ing errors as well. Just a couple,” he told the audience. “That’s because we actually play live. What? Just saying. You guys like raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? You came to the right f***ing place.”

The supposed diss came as a surprise given Grohl has been nothing but complimentary of the singer in the past.

He may still be sporting his trademark hat and signature moves, but this rocker looked miles away from the 2000s star we all remember.

Prince William has enjoyed a birthday treat boogieing the night away at the first of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour concerts in London.

The prince was spotted dancing on the balcony of a private box at Wembley Stadium, where Swift kicked off the London leg of her global tour on Friday night local time.

The official account of the Prince and Princess of Wales on X later shared a behind-the-scenes photo of William posing for a selfie with Swift, alongside his two oldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

"Thank you @taylorswift13 for a great evening!" the post read.

Swift also shared a selfie with the royals, as well as her boyfriend Travis Kelce, wishing William a happy birthday.

"Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start," she wrote.

Swift is set to play eight shows at Wembley Stadium, which has a capacity of 90,000, as part of her two-year-long world tour.

The opening night was star-studded, with Bridgerton actor Nicola Coughlan, Queer Eye's Jonathan Van Ness and model Cara Delevigne among those spotted in the crowd.

Labour leader Keir Starmer also shared a photo on social media of him and his wife in the stands.

Prince William's wife, Princess Catherine, marked his 42nd birthday a day earlier by sharing an image online of the prince and all three of the couple's children, George, Charlotte and Louis.
