The Best Places to Stay in Belize, According to Travel Noire

travel noire resort

Belize is a captivating paradise, says Travel Noire. This paradise sits “nestled along the coast of Central America.” And this week, the travel publication showed Belize some love, highlighting some of the best places to stay.

From the sandy beaches of Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker to the rolling hills of Cayo and the ever-underrated Belize district, there are plenty of options when it comes to staying in Belize, no matter your tastes.

Where to Stay in Belize, According to Travel Noire

Beachfront fun & relaxation.

When vacationing on Belize’s Caribbean coastline, travelers have destination options that range from the buzzing island of Ambergris Caye to the sleepy yet captivating village of Hopkins. Belize’s largest island is a magnet for offshore adventurers, including those searching for snorkeling on the barrier reef and other water sports experiences.

“The town of San Pedro on Ambergris Caye offers a range of fun activities from luxury resorts to budget-friendly experiences and fine dining,” says Travel Noire, recommending the luxurious Victoria House Resort & Spa and adults-only Matachica Resort as top spots to stay.

When it comes to the low-key but absolutely gorgeous Hopkins, the black travel publication recommends Hamanasi Adventure & Dive Resort for the best of both worlds (beach & rainforest). Meanwhile, travelers should turn to the hip and mid-range Almond Beach Resort at Jaguar Reef for beachfront relaxation.

2023 Travel Noire Awards: Favorite All-Inclusive Stay

All-inclusive resorts remain popular for good reason. They allow guests to unwind, be pampered with the finest food, drink and amenities. They do not have to worry about the cost of the experience that they’re enjoying. If it’s the right hotel with the best staff and premium services, it may be well worth the money spent. We’ve researched our Favorite All-Inclusive Stays in this year’s Travel Noire Awards, so you can travel with the knowledge to make the best choice.

Four Seasons Seychelles at Desroches Islan d

The Four Seasons Seychelles at Desroches Island is described by the hotel group as a”private paradise on a lush coral island.” Located on Desroches Island, this retreat is tucked away, and is the only resort on the entire island. The luxury hotel features an array of fine dining options, a spa and wellness center, private ocean-view pools and special experiences arranged by the staff.

As far as guest rooms, there are plenty of options. Choose between a suite or residence villa, which are larger and better suited for families. Villas have their own private swimming pools overlooking the ocean and some feature six kings and two queen sized beds, hosting up to 16 guests. Take advantage of experiences, like tortoise feeding, and cocktail and cooking classes. Guest reviews called their stay at the resort “a real castaway experience,” and “a private island paradise.”

Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya

Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya is located on the beach in the Quintana Roo region of Mexico. The natural scenery and the resort’s proximity to the ocean make it a great choice for couples and families. The hotel boasts 735 guest rooms and suites, 13 restaurants and bars, a luxury spa and family area.

Guest rooms offer private balconies with ocean or resort views. The all-inclusive perks range from all meals and snacks included, unlimited drinks, yoga and fitness classes and a personal concierge. We like the family-friendly nature of the resort, while still maintaining a luxury vibe. The Hilton brand is a trusted name in the hotel industry and Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya is a classic choice when visiting Tulum .

Sandals Royal Caribbean, Montego B ay

Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay, Jamaica is an all-inclusive resort that embraces “refined British heritage” with Georgian-style architecture. The resort sits right on the beach next to the ocean, giving gorgeous views of the clear blue water. There are tons of options to eat, drink and play at Sandals Montego Bay.

Enjoy unlimited fine dining at nine restaurants, premium liquors, five bars including swim-up bars, 14 pools, and a state-of-the-art fitness center. Another great perk for travelers is the roundtrip transportation to and from the airport. Wi-Fi in the room and in the common areas allows you to make calls home and send photos of your trip with ease. In quintessential British style, enjoy teatime in the afternoon with the finest English teas and delicacies.
