Alex and Carl were absolutely amazing guides. We came on this tour for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. The food was amazing, the camping equipment was great and we met some wonderful people. Vancouver Island is absolutely beautiful and Alex and Carl were very knowledgeable, showing us hidden gems in the area that we likely wouldn’t have found otherwise. I highly recommend choosing Fresh Adventures for a Vancouver Island tour!

Orcas and Grizzlies Wildlife Tour Tour

Orcas and Grizzlies Wildlife Tour

Note this is not a tour of a fixed group of participants with a professional guide. It is an itinerary composed of separate events which could be undertaken by groups, couples or like me an individual. Every aspect of this "tour" was organised to perfection and the notes provided exact details of what, where and how to expect things. There was no problem with flights, taxis, ferries or specialist providers. I loved the accommodation as I was made to feel I was wanted there and every assistance was provided. The local features at Alert Bay are worthwhile and the Cultural Centre is outstanding. Taxis are available on this small island but the best transport is walking to enjoy the local atmosphere. The one star missing for "overall" is because no warning was given that whales and grizzlies may not be seen as that is a seasonal thing which should be checked before booking.

Hut to Hut in Wildflower Heaven

The Hut to Hut Tour in Wells-Gray Park was amazing! Besides our group, there was no one there… it was so great to be the only people in such a vast space and our guide was excellent and respectful of this beautiful place. The pace was perfect and we had a different kind of beauty and challenge every day.

What people love about British Columbia Tours

This Vancouver Island tour was another great tour from Fresh Adventures. The trip was well run and organised. The 2 guides, Jafar and Carl were excellent and cooked some fantastic meals throughout the week. A good mix of exploring and relaxation at some great swimming areas throughout the island. Definitely recommend.
We loved the tour! Ian is a fantastic tour guide. He’s so knowledgable and makes things fun. It’s a long day but totally worth it. The Discover tour is the best. It’s a smaller group. Very personal. Just enough “tour” time as well as free time. Victoria is wonderful!

Testimonials

Love this company! I have been enjoying day trips with Enjoy The Journey for several years now and just returned from a five day bus tour to Cannon Beach, Oregon. I enjoyed it immensely.

We took the trip to Haida Gwaii and it was exceptional! It had been our wish to go to this great part of British Columbia and going with Enjoy The Journey was a wonderful experience.

Linda and Eelko

Highly recommended!  Just returned from the 3-day Nature's Best Cultural Tour, which took us through Kamloops to Quaaout Lodge and Spa near Chase BC. Our guide and driver did a fabulous job from start to finish and took very good care of everyone.

A very good small personable company, who are highly customer-orientated. My wife and i had a day trip to salt spring island farmers market on Saturday 28th July. We like small outfits, and give thisone VERY high marks. I'd choose them again - and again.

Thanks to the kindness and excellent organizational skills of our tour manager we had an extraordinarily enjoyable holiday to Haida Gwaii. Our driver was extremely competent and helpful to our group of enthusiastic travellers. A fabulous experience! Thank you Enjoy The Journey!!

Breweries List

Vancouver Breweries

With neighbours like Portland and Seattle so close, you know Vancouver is bound to have the same lively and tasty craft beer scene of the Pacific Northwest. Boasting more than 50 breweries all across the city, we’ve curated a list of ones you cannot miss out on.

Vancouver breweries are known for their great beers, ciders, and outstanding views of the city and mountains. If you’re looking for a place to relax with a cold one after exploring Vancouver, look no further than one of these 20 best breweries.

What are the top breweries in Vancouver?

Though breweries are spread out all across the vast city of Vancouver, there are conveniently located batches of craft breweries in a couple of main neighbourhoods that make it easy to brewery hop any day of the week. Whether you’re looking to explore Olympic Village/Brewery Creek or East Vancouver (appropriately nicknamed “Yeast Vancouver”), you won’t have to look far for a new brewery to sample.

Vancouver’s eclectic mix of craft beer brewers means you’ll find everything from classically brewed favourites – such as traditional Belgian Tripels – to some of the most unique brew recipes we’ve seen, Pizza Pilsner anyone? If you’re a beer traditionalist or you fancy yourself a savvy experimental sampler, Vancouver craft breweries have something for everyone. So try one or visit them all, we won’t judge, make sure you share your favourites with us!

How do we pick the best Vancouver Breweries?

With every ‘top breweries’ post we write, we do diligent online research to determine who makes it on our list. However, we know we aren’t perfect and if we’ve missed a Vancouver brewery that you think should be on this list, contact us and let us know who the brewery is and we’ll do our best to include them!
