Tickets are $39.00 - $69.00 plus fees and are available online at PatchogueTheatre.org . Orange crush: Boats packed with revelers tour Amsterdam canals to celebrate the king’s birthday

AMSTERDAM (AP) — Decked in the national orange color, dancing to music, and eating orange-glazed pastries, many in the Netherlands are marking King’s Day, celebrating the monarch’s birthday who is enjoying a slight rise in popularity as per a national poll. As King Willem-Alexander celebrated his 57th birthday with his family on Saturday in the northeastern city of Emmen, people across the country engaged in the traditional “free markets” held on that day, selling second-hand items. Others toured through the historic busy canals of the capital. The king told Dutch broadcaster NOS that celebrating one’s birthday with family “is the most beautiful thing you can experience.”

Playboi Carti concert 2021: Rapper's TX show canceled after attendees cause chaos at venue

HOUSTON -- Fans who had tickets to see rapper Playboi Carti in Houston Saturday night are trying to get their money back Sunday, after chaos and commotion caused the concert to get canceled.

While waiting to enter the arena, ticket holders picked up metal fences that were meant to keep fans in line ahead of the concert at 8 p.m.

"It's a really intense, aggressive album," said one fan. "People came to the concert really amped up and ready to go crazy. Maybe the people at (the venue) NRG weren't prepared for that."

Pictures and video shared with ABC7 Chicago's Houston affiliate ABC13 show fans bypassed security and knocked down metal detectors.

The Houston Police Department even put out a radio call asking for more officers to respond to the incident. They ultimately controlled the incident and said no arrests were made.

A witness told ABC13 she saw an ambulance was called for someone who had been trampled during the chaos, but no details regarding that were immediately released.

Officials at the venue where Playboi Carti was scheduled to perform said ticket holders should seek a refund from where they purchased their tickets.

King’s X Cancel European/UK Tour Due To Ty Tabor Requiring Treatment For An “Unforeseen Medical Issue”

Progressive hard rock outfit King’s X have cancelled their fall European/UK tour in the wake of their guitarist Ty Tabor suffering from an undisclosed medical issue. The band were booked to head out on September 01st across Europe and the UK in support of their first new album in fourteen years, “ Three Sides Of One “, due out September 02nd.

In a statement issued overnight, the group stated:

Attention: It is with great regret that we must announce that we will be forced to cancel our upcoming engagements in Europe this Fall, due to an unforeseen medical issue with our guitarist. A message from Ty Tabor . “Hello everyone. I recently went in for some medical tests and discovered that I have an illness requiring vigilant monitoring. As a result, I will need to remain in the US while following medical advice and potential treatment. I know this is a disappointment for those who have waited so long for our European shows. I am sorry for this unavoidable setback. I want everyone to know that my prognosis is good. We plan to keep doing shows in the US so I can remain close to home and take less risks while dealing with this change in life. Thanks so much for all of your love and support.” – TY NOTE: This doesn’t change the 3 shows we have in July, as they will be the last shows before the treatments. The Weeknd’s postponed tour of Australia is now canceled and ticket owners will be refunded.

The Canadian R&B superstar had initially scheduled an 11-date stadium tour of Australia and New Zealand, winding its way across both countries last November and December.

“The Weeknd ‘After Hours Til Dawn Tour’ for Australia & New Zealand is still in process of being rescheduled,” reads a statement from LN, seen by Billboard . “Whilst we continue to work through the rescheduling process with the artist, tickets for the existing 2023 tour will be cancelled with all ticket holders receiving a full refund accordingly.”

Ticket holders of the The Weeknd’s ‘After Hours Til Dawn Tour’ shows who previously held on to their tickets will be able to access a priority purchase window for the new tour in Australia and New Zealand when announced, the message reads, linking to a priority waitlist . All current ticket holders will receive an automatic refund.

The tour was originally announced last August with just four shows, visiting each of Australia’s big three east coast cities — Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane — and including a single date in Auckland, NZ.

Additional dates were added last September , boosting the itinerary to 11 across both markets.

The Weeknd’s tour is scrapped as Australia’s festivals market navigates turbulent waters. In recent weeks, the 2024 editions of Splendour in the Grass, Mona Foma, and Groovin The Moo, with soft ticket sales playing a part in each story.

The inaugural Soundcheck report, published by Creative Australia, found the climate for operating a festival was a “highly complex” one, with event organizers challenged with myriad issues, from rapidly increasing costs, changing ticket buying behavior and more.

In the U.S., he has landed seven No. 1s on the Billboard Hot 100 and four No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200.

On Australia’s ARIA Albums Chart, published last Friday, April 19 , the Weeknd’s hits collection The Highlights lifts 8-4 in its 167th week on the tally. It’s triple-platinum certified in Australia.
