Editor’s Note:  The list features only U.S. tours and is updated on a biweekly basis. Tours that have already ended have been removed from the list .

2023 marked a significant year in touring for Latin acts across multiple genres, including reggaetón, música mexicana and pop. They represent a wide-ranging crop of artists who’ve diversified the Billboard touring charts, according to the year-end Boxscore chart . More and more Spanish-language artists also toured stadiums, as was the case for Fuerza Regida , RBD and Karol G . The latter landed at No. 11 on the 2023 Top Tours chart, with $146.9 million and 843,000 tickets sold from just 19 dates of her Mañana Será Bonito U.S. stadium tour.

This new year looks to be just as promising.

Just days after dropping Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana , Bad Bunny announced his 2024 Most Wanted U.S. Tour, produced by Live Nation and Rimas, which will kick off Feb. 21 in Salt Lake City and runs until May 26 in Miami. It’s set to follow the hitmaker’s World’s Hottest Tour stadium run, which along with his Ultimo Tour del Mundo arena run led to a  record-breaking  $435 million in tour grosses for Bad Bunny in 2022.

Reggaetón OG Don Omar also announced his return to the stage with his highly-anticipated Back to Reggaetón U.S. Tour. The CMN-produced trek, set to kick off in March in Reading, Penn., will make stops in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Las Vegas, among other cities. Other artists who are set to hit the road next year are Pepe Aguilar , Laura Pausini , Hombres G and Gloria Trevi .

Here Are the Latino Artists Hitting the Stage In 2021

latino artist tour

Vaxxed, snatched, and ready to dance? So are many of your favorite artists. Last year saw concerts and live shows get cancelled left and right, due to public health orders to prevent the spread of COVID-19. But now that vaccines are available across the United States, and the spread of the coronavirus is slowing down in most parts of the country, live music is making a big comeback.

While the list of artists announcing tours is hopefully going to grow (Hello, ladies? Where are our Latina artists?), here’s a running list of shows that have been announced so far.

Bad Bunny announced the North American leg of his 2022 El Último Tour del Mundo tour during a WrestleMania appearance. EUTDM kicks off February 9, 2022, in Denver’s Ball Arena and runs until April 3rd in Miami’s AmericanAirlines Arena. Bunny will make pit stops in Houston, Los Angeles, Brooklyn, Washington, and Canada, to name a few. Tickets for the tour are available on Ticketmaster.

Papa-to-be J Balvin may not be doing a traditional tour this year, with his son due to be born sometime in the next few months. However, fans need not get sad because Balvin will be hitting the stage at a few festivals including: Baja Beach Fest 2021 which takes place in Rosarito Beach, Mexico in August, and NEON in September in Las Vegas.

Marc Anthony

Marc Anthony’s 23-date North American tour is set to kick off August 27 in San Antonio’s AT&T Center, Billboard can exclusively announce. The Marc Anthony Tour–with stops in major cities including Chicago, Miami and Los Angeles and two dates in Canada–is produced and presented by CMN and Magnus Media, with tickets to go on sale April 30 via Ticketmaster.

Las Vegas has been waiting for the return of their live concerts and residencies, and Bruno Mars will be the first artist to head back to the strip. Announcing a run of concerts every weekend in July, Mars will be appearing at the Park Theater at the MGM. Tickets went on sale April 30, but good luck getting them. Mars is one artist that sells out very quickly.

The Colombian star’s newly announced 30-date U.S. and Puerto Rico arena tour is the biggest and most ambitious 2021 U.S. tour to date. Maluma’s Papi Juancho tour will kick off Sept. 1 in Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center and wrap up at Chicago’s Allstate Arena on Oct. 24.

Ricky Martin & Enrique Iglesias (feat. Sebastian Yarta)

Ricky Martin and Enrique Iglesias are planning a mega tour for their fans. The two heartthrobs are teaming up to treat Canada and the U.S. audiences to a show they will never forget. Sebastián Yatra will be joining the two musical powerhouses as a special guest for this North American leg.

Alejandro Sanz

Alejandro Sanz returns to touring, after being one of the first artists to offer virtual concerts, with the announcement of new U.S. dates of his #LaGira 2021 tour. Produced by Live Nation, the Spanish crooner will kick off the tour on Oct. 8 at Illinois’ Rosemont Theatre and run until Oct. 31 at San Jose’s SAP Center. Additional dates include New York, Miami, Houston and Los Angeles. Tickets for his 2021 shows go on sale at 10 a.m. local time on April 29 via Ticketmaster.

David Bisbal

The “En Tus Planes” tour is set to kick off in the fall, beginning on September 30 in Miami’s The Fillmore Miami Beach and wraps up on Oct. 30 in California’s San Jose Civic. Additional stops include Atlanta, New York, San Juan, Dallas, Chicago, and Las Vegas, to name a few.

Carin León will follow his history-making appearances at both Coachella and Stagecoach with a massive tour across the United States with stops in Europe later this year. On Thursday, the música Mexicana star announced the dates for his 2024 Boca Chueca Tour.

“Embarking on this tour is an exhilarating opportunity to share my new music with fans throughout North America and Europe alike,” he said in a press release. “Taking my songs and the vibrant essence of Música Mexicana to a global stage is truly an honor.”

After a performance at the Mid-State Fair in July, he’ll kick off his arena and amphitheater tour on Aug. 29 in Colorado, before making stops in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, New York, and Nashville. He’ll also head overseas for shows in London, Madrid, and Paris.

It’s been an ultra-successful year for the musician, who’s successfully released crossover bilingual tracks in country and R&B over the last several months. Earlier this year, he worked with Keith Urban and Rosario on “Si Me Llevas Contigo,” worked with Kane Brown on “The One (Pero No Como Yo),” and dueted with Leon Bridges on “It Was Always You.”

Need a post-rain euphoria lineup? Catch La Santa Cecilia, Juanes live, celebrate Afro Latinx culture

If you’ve had enough of the gloomy day blues, we have your post-rain euphoria lineup on lock this weekend. Cooler weather calls for indoor events and on the music front there are plenty. Take your pick from Dominican singer-songwriter Alex Ferreira, hometown heroes La Santa Cecilia or Colombian rock crooner Juanes. Latinx With Plants leads a bootquet making class (yes, with a cowboy boot vase!) and Latinx literature magazine Huizache hosts a poetry reading downtown. If you’re looking for culture and community, head over to MOLAA for the Afro Latinx Festival featuring workshops, speakers and performances centering the diverse African diaspora.

Alex Ferreira at The Paramount: Dominican singer-songwriter Alex Ferreira grew up between his hometown of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, New York and Miami. He began his professional career performing in Dominican cultural oasis Casa de Teatro . An alternative rocker at heart, Ferreira experiments with his ukulele and synthesizer to create an eclectic collection of bachata, merengue, electronic and folk music. Boyle Heights’ last surviving ballroom The Paramount is fitting for the old soul who is influenced by ’90s Britpop, ’60s folk, Argentinian rock, boleros and Cuban ballads.

La Santa Cecilia: The Grammy Award-winning, L.A.-bred band continues to mesmerize audiences with an effortless blend of cumbia, funk, boleros, rancheras, norteño and jazz. Named after the patron saint of music, La Santa Cecilia sings about love, loss and everyday struggles. They draw inspiration from everyone incuding Janis Joplin and Led Zeppelin to Miles Davis and Ramon Ayala. Lead singer Marisol Hernández, a.k.a. La Marisoul, is considered one of the most prominent voices in Mexican American music. She flys solo and collaborates with a diverse array of artists including Elvis Costello, Juanes, Café Tacvba, Lila Downs and Pepe Aguilar.

When: 8 p.m. Saturday Where: Luckman Fine Arts Complex, 5151 State University Dr., Los Angeles Admission: Tickets start at $25

Myrandas at The Hotel Cafe: Saturday is Latin Music Industry Night at this Hollywood hot spot. Levitt Pavilion music programmer Luis Polanco has curated a crew of artists to represent. On the heels of releasing its new single “Necesito Q Me Distraigas,” L.A.-based band Myrandas performs its blend of Latin pop and electronica alongside drummer Richard Herrera, Subsuelo crew DJ Ethos and violist Jeremy Jones . What started as a rock project by trilingual singer Kristina Miranda and Grammy-winning engineer Marciel Miranda in Havana has evolved into a more urbano sound inspired by Rosalía, Bomba Estéreo and Bad Bunny. Jesús Guerrero, lead singer of Tijuana band Ramona , and patron saint of alt corridos Yetzirah Vargas are also performing.

When: 9:30 p.m. Saturday Where: The Hotel Cafe, 1623 N. Cahuenga Blvd., Los Angeles Admission: Tickets $15

After the band broke up in 1997, Juanes released his solo debut album “Fíjate Bien” in 2000 and eventually became one of the best-selling Latin music artists of all time. The Grammy Award winner stops in L.A. this weekend as part of the North American leg of his Vida Cotidiana World Tour. He’s expected to perform his greatest hits along with songs from his 11th studio album.

Art Basel Miami 2023 Event Guide: Latino Artists, Perreo, and the Best Parties

Tun tun tun (pretend that’s a corneta noise). Art Basel in Miami is upon us! And we’re already gearing up for exhibitions spotlighting Latino artists, perreo -ready parties, galleries upon galleries, and a cocktail (or two).

As the Magic City continues its post-pandemic boom (update: high-rises keep going up faster than all that hierba mala on our childhood sidewalk), so do all the very cool happenings around town.

And of course, that includes this year’s much-anticipated Miami Art Week.

Who’s going to Miami for Art Basel?!! pic.twitter.com/OO3wHOIosQ — LINDQUΞST (@lindquest_) November 25, 2023

This year’s Art Basel event in Miami Beach’s Convention Center is officially set to run from Friday, December 8 through Sunday, December 10. However, this week’s events really start around five days before that.

Plus, while on the topic of art fairs, we also recommend hitting Design Miami, SCOPE, UNTITLED, NADA Miami, and Art Miami. Taking place across the city, you’ll slightly step away from the hubbub of Art Basel — and see some very cool art.

Whether you’re a 305 veteran, or just traveling to the city to catch all of the gallery events— and yes, a few clubstaurants — we’ve got you. Ahead, find our running list of some of the best events happening during Miami Art Week that you may not know about yet.

1. “Spaces of Influence: Shaping Community in the Modern World” by Faena Art

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sebastian Errazuriz (@sebastianstudio)

First up, you can’t miss Faena Art’s “Spaces of Influence: Shaping Community in the Modern World.” The public exhibition is across Faena Beach and Faena Cathedral in Miami Beach. Setting up shop on December 5 and staying put throughout Miami Art Week, we’re especially excited for Chilean artist Sebastian Errazuriz’s sand maze installation, “MAZE: Journey Through the Algorithmic Self.” Feel free to explore inside the epic labyrinth, which was designed using AI.

2.  “Lucky Love” Exhibition by Bernardo Medina

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Bernardo Medina (@bermed)

Another fun event taking place during Art Basel week is Puerto Rican pop artist Bernardo “BeMe” Medina ‘s exhibition. “Lucky Love” will be at the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Americas on December 5 at 6 p.m. You will surely be struck by Medina’s colorful art depicting flowers, coconuts, gorgeous abstract collages, and even plátanos. The best part, though? He will also present his new coffee table recipe book, “The Sofrito Manifesto,” a celebration of straight-from-abuelita Boricua cuisine.

3. Lladró Art Editions by Javier Calleja

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Javier Calleja (@javicalleja)

Another can’t-miss event taking place during this year’s Miami Art Week is porcelain figurine company Lladró’s 70th birthday party. To celebrate the big day, the classic brand is teaming up with Spanish artist, Javier Calleja . He has partnered up with companies like Vans and Rolls Royce in the past. The invite-only event will take place on December 7 at 7 p.m. at Marquez Art Projects. The gallery was founded by John Marquez, a Miami-based collector who was raised in Venezuela .

4. Monkey Shoulder Whisky’s Disco Nap Pajama Party

𝗔𝗕𝗨𝗝𝗔 – Did you miss the Monkey Shoulder Press Play Concert? we’ve got you covered! Let’s rewind and relive the thrill of a night filled with music, fun, and the signature playfulness of Monkey Shoulder🎶✨🎶 #PressplayAbuja #MadeForMixing #ShakeYourMonkey #PressPlayAbuja pic.twitter.com/gWUGvfwr3X — Abuja Events (@abuja_events2) November 23, 2023

A far cry from porcelain figurines, malt Scotch whisky brand Monkey Shoulder is hosting a disco-themed pajama party. Trust us, you will talk about it for years to come. The fête will take place at Centro in Wynwood on Friday, December 8, at 9 p.m., and will bring in Miami-based, Haitian DJ Louie Arson for all the sickest beats. As far as the brand’s past “Disco Nap” events are concerned, it seems like guests get silky orange PJs at the entrance, plus some feather boas. Sold!

5. Atwater Cocktail Club x Sweet Liberty

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sweet Liberty Drinks & Supply Company (@sweetlibertymia)

Another party we’re already thinking about is Montreal-based Atwater Cocktail Club’s pop-up event at Miami Bar Sweet Liberty on Wednesday, December 6 at 7 p.m. The bar will bring on Atwater Cocktail Club’s signature cocktails, and will even give us some Basel-y decor, playlists, and merch.

Even cooler, the Montreal bar’s Guatemalan-American co-founder, Roberto Porres — an artist focused on “doodle stories and landscapes” using liquid acrylic on paper — will make live art in front of party guests.

Porres, artist and founder of Groupe Barroco, gave mitú some insight about what to expect at the event. “I’ll be doing this method on some canvases — I’ll go off of what I am feeling at the event so it’ll be freestyle.”

He also said that the 305 will surely get his creativity flowing: “I’m excited to have fun that evening pulling inspiration from my time in Miami — spending time on the beach, the palm trees and surrounded by so much art.” Even more, there will be a raffle of his art at the end of the night.

6. The Art of Being Latin by NTERTAIN

View this post on Instagram A post shared by NEON16 (@neon16)

Next up, NTERTAIN STUDIOS , the folks behind shows like “Los Montaner” and Netflix’s “La Firma,” is putting on an entire cultural experience on December 9 and 10 for Miami Art Week. The two-day event is all about showcasing Latino talent, bringing on talks by music titans like Tainy, Lex Borrero, and Sofia Reyes, plus “Blue Beetle” actor Xolo Maridueña, Puerto Rican filmmaker Angel Manuel Soto, and Miami street artist Ahol Sniffs Glue . There will also be music performances and Latino art exhibits.

7. Esaí Alfredo at Spinello Projects

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Spinello Projects (@spinelloprojects)

Esaí Alfredo Figueroa Ruiz, an artist from Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, has teamed up with Spinello Projects gallery to present his first solo booth presentation at this year’s Art Basel. Look out for his beautiful, moody work exploring his hometown of Yabucoa, sci-fi, cinema, and more. His exhibition, ”Mundo Nocturno,” is part of Spinello Projects’ “GAY ERA” solo show collection, which spotlights artists who “embody the rich tapestry of queer experiences.”

8. UMiami’s Alián Martinez Rives at Wynwood Gallery

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Alián Rives (@alianrives)

The University of Miami’s graduate Master of Fine Arts students are putting on a show at Wynwood Gallery during Miami Art Week. While several student artists will be featured, we are particularly struck by Sancti Spíritus, Cuba -born Alián Martínez Rives ‘ work.

Martínez Rives blends art and technology to illustrate his life growing up in the Cuban diaspora. His project, “90 Miles of Dataspace,” uses images of the Straits of Florida “to define new poetics of space and experience,” and points to the distance between Cuba and the Florida coast.

9. Food Tours in Miami

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Food Tours In Miami (@foodtoursinmiami) document.addEventListener('userLocationChecked', function () { // We check the flag before displaying the ad //if (window.userOutsideEurope) { googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-instream-2'); }); //} });

Elevate your Miami experience with mouthwatering food tours that add flavor to your art-filled escapade. If you want to taste all the hidden gems the 305 offers, take advantage of Food Tours in Miami’s authentic, fun culinary tours throughout the city.

The company offers a convenient South Beach tour, taking you through all the must-see beach spots. Or journey to the heart of Cuba with their Little Havana food tour, where Calle Ocho’s gems await your taste buds. Why choose when you can savor both?

10. LVMH Culture House

View this post on Instagram A post shared by LVMH (@lvmh)

French luxury conglomerate LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (yes, fancy, fancy, fancy) will host their “Culture House” in Miami’s Design District from December 6 to December 10 from 10 AM to 6 PM. The LVMH Culture House will host daily panels and art exhibits showcasing artists of color, women, and individuals with disabilities. Come here to engage with the work of artists like Cruise Bogle , who is quadriplegic , Crystal Paris , a Black artist specializing in wearable creations, and more. Panels from LVMH execs from brands like Bulgari and Givenchy will surely be very thought-provoking, too.

11. Art With Me

While you’re appreciating all the art during, well, Miami Art Week, you might as well clock in some very-Miami partying, too. That’s where the upcoming music and cultural festival Art With Me comes in. Taking place from December 8 to 10, the three-day Tulum, Mexico export brings its iconic concept to Miami’s Historic Virginia Key Beach Park.

There, you’ll immerse yourself in the festival’s six pillars: “Art,” including major installations across the grounds, the sustainability-focused “Care,” yoga and meditation as part of “Breathe,” the family-friendly “Play,” the self-explanatory “Eat,” and of course, “Dance” — with major musical acts like Underworld and Polo & Pan.

12. ¡Que Flow! at Oasis Wynwood

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Oasis Wynwood (@oasiswynwood)

While Art With Me seems more focused on electronic acts, you might be more interested in old-school perreo for your Basel party scene. Luckily, you’ll be in Miami — so of course, you’ve come to the right place.

We recommend trying out the expansive event venue Oasis Wynwood, which will host a reggaetón night on December 10. Starting early at 6 p.m. and spanning until midnight, their Basel week event, ¡Que Flow!, promises to make all your dembow wishes come true. We can’t wait for all the DJ sets, including Dominican-Bronx natives, Dos Flakos. Rakata, rakata .

13. Mario Ayala at David Kordansky Gallery

View this post on Instagram A post shared by David Kordansky Gallery (@davidkordanskygallery)

Okay, so back to the art. At this year’s Art Basel, David Kordansky Gallery is presenting artwork by Los Angeles native Mario Ayala. We’re very pumped. Inspired by growing up on the West Coast, muralism, tattoos, surrealism, pop culture, and the Latino and Brown experience, Ayala once wrote for Los Angeles Times : “A lot of my work is autobiographical, alludes to some of my family’s history.”

Speaking about drawing inspiration from his truck driver father, his Santería-practicing Cuban grandparents, and vintage lowriders, Ayala’s artistic vision is distinctly personal. And as he told W , he’s taking it all in: “It was only four years ago that I was painting in my basement.”

14. Elliot and Erick Jiménez’s “Reclining Mermaid”

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Elliot & Erick Jiménez (@elliotanderick)

If you’re in Miami this week, you should definitely stop by the gorgeous “Reclining Mermaid” installation. Created by identical twin Cuban-American painters, Elliot and Erick Jiménez, it’s a must. Born and raised in Miami, the Jiménez brothers are inspired by both Yoruba and Catholic traditions in their paintings. Also, they gave us Bad Bunny’s mesmerizing photoshoot for TIME magazine this year.

This time around, marking their first public installation, their “Reclining Mermaid” will lie across Miami Design District’s Moore Building until further notice. As the artists explained on Instagram , the installation is inspired by the Yoruba deity, Yemayá, a water spirit who is “a symbol of migration for many Caribbean immigrants.”

15. COVL at AMPERSAND STUDIOS

View this post on Instagram A post shared by AMPERSAND STUDIOS (@amperstudios_)

Another can’t-miss exhibit is Puerto Rican multidisciplinary artist COVL’s team-up with Miami’s Ampersand Studios. The creative space will exhibit COVL’s “Homesick” solo show at the studio’s Member’s Lounge from November 28 to December 1, so this is for all of you flying-in-early Basel attendees.

The Miami native’s rainbow-brite paintings are inspired by her Latino culture and upbringing. As well as “overcoming mental health stigmas” through color psychology. About bringing her “Homesick” show to Miami, COVL wrote on IG : “It’s where my journey began… This is my home. All these memories on display are rooted from my childhood.”

16. Patrick Martinez at Miami Art Week

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Patrick Martinez (@patrick_martinez_studio)

Pasadena, California-born mixed-media artist Patrick Martinez, who is of Filipino, Mexican, and Native American heritage , is bringing his paintings, neon signage, and crucial socioeconomic commentary to two Miami exhibits this week.

For one, you can find Martinez’s work at Miami’s Rubell Museum starting December 4 as part of their “Singular Views: Los Angeles” exhibit highlighting 16 L.A. artists. Excitingly enough, you can get a glimpse of Mario Ayala’s work at the same exhibition, as well as other names like Diana Yesenia Alvarado, Nehemiah Cisneros, and Alfonso Gonzalez Jr.

However, if you can’t make it to the Rubell Museum, you can also find Martinez’s work at the “Gimme Shelter” exhibit at the Historic Hampton House from December 4 to January 22. The event seeks to become a “sacred space” for “Blacks and people of color despite the threats of violence in a segregated city.”

17. Runsy at Miami Art Week

@runsyyy spoke with @oakley & @hypebeast about my journey as an artist & runner 🏃🏽‍♀️✨💚. #sponsored ♬ original sound – Esperanza Rosas

Lastly, if you’re in Miami during this year’s Art Week, stop by the group show “Sole Perspectives.” The exhibition was curated by gallerist and entrepreneur Easy Otabor alongside Nike. lt brings together 20 artists. One of them being Mexican-American multidisciplinary artist, Esperanza Rosas .

Known as “Runsy” in the art and design world, Chicago-based Rosas is inspired by her heritage and pop culture to create gorgeous pencil-on-paper works that look painstakingly real. With collaborations with White Sox, Vans, Nike, and Ulta Beauty under her belt, Runsy is a force of nature. So, you should definitely catch this show!

“Sole Perspectives,” which celebrates Nike’s iconic Air Force 1 shoe, takes place on December 9 and 10 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 3408 NW 7th Ave Miami, FL 33127.

Music in 2023 saw Latin artists we know and love be recognized for their decades-long contributions to Latin sound and culture as well as up-and-coming artists who have introduced their takes on beloved genres from reggaeton, corridos, electronic music, and latin rock. With all the new albums that dropped and dream collaborations made, we also witnessed nostalgia reign in music this year with numerous comebacks to music, farewell tours, and honorary awards given to those who have had huge roles in Latin music including RBD , Daddy Yankee, and Ivy Queen . The influence and magnitude of Latin music is evident this year more than ever with the amount of record-breaking singles and No. 1 albums in 2023 alone. Everything we saw from Latin artists only makes us more excited for what is to come in 2024. From Ivy Queen being recognized for paving the way for women in reggaeton to Peso Pluma’s endless hits making waves year round, these are the 20 Latin artists that defined music in 2023.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by La Doble P (@pesopluma)

Jalisco-born corrido singer Peso Pluma’s talent and ability to create hits knew no bounds in 2023. The regional Mexican artist known for his corridos tumbados, made strides this year when he broke Bad Bunny’s Record on the Hot Latin Songs Chart with 25 titles up. Not to mention that his album Génesis , landed at the No. 1 spot on the Top Latin Albums & Regional Mexican Albums charts—his first No. 1. In addition to the massive success of his hit single with Eslabon Armado, “Ella Baila Sola”, he became the first Mexican artist ever to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards when he performed his song “Lady Gaga” which featured a violin-laden opening. He was also recently named as Youtube’s most-viewed artist of 2023, garnering 8.5 billion views this year.

Eslabon Armado

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Eslabon Armado 🔗 (@eslabonarmadooficial)

Adding to all the rage on corridos tumbados and other regional Mexican music that has risen in popularity, Eslabon Armado made themselves known in 2023 hit after hit. The band released their collaboration with Peso Pluma “Ella Baila Sola” in March which has since skyrocketed, now having reached 1 billion streams on Spotify. “Ella Baila Sola” is the first regional Mexican song to achieve this, setting a new standard for the heights that regional Mexican music can reach. The group additionally released their sixth album Desvelado which features their hit single as well as their song “Quédate Conmigo” with Grupo Frontera.

Grupo Frontera

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Grupo Frontera (@grupofrontera)

Originally from Texas, Regional Mexican group Grupo Frontera has also made a name for themselves this year. The group released their debut album this year entitled El Comienzo which features hits “No Se Va”, “En Altavoz”, and “El Amor de Su Vida” to name a few. Grupo Frontera achieved their first top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 for “ Un x100to”, a collaboration with Bad Bunny that blends the Latin trap with norteño-cumbia. Their hits like “Bebe Dame” featuring Fuerza Regida have soared in streams and their popularity has contributed to the breakthrough of the Regional Mexican genre this year. They also took home their first Billboard Latin Music Award when they won Hot Latin Songs Artist of the Year, Duo or Group.

Up-and-Coming Latino Artists to Listen To in 2024

latino artist tour

The Latin music scene is constantly evolving, and 2024 promises to be an exciting year with the emergence of several talented artists. From the rhythms of Ludmilla’s baile funk to the introspective lyrics of Nicki Nicole, the diversity within the Latino music landscape is flourishing. Joining these established names are rising stars like Young Miko, Milo J , and the chameleonic Louta , all are set to make significant waves in the industry.

Nicki Nicole

Nicki Nicole, born on August 25th, 2000, in Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina, has rapidly become a force to be reckoned with in the Latino music industry. Initially hesitant to step onto the stage, Nicki’s breakthrough came in 2019 with her single “Wapo Traketero,” gaining millions of views on YouTube. Collaborating with Bizarrap on the #13 Session, she solidified her presence in the music industry with over 200 million views, making it one of the most-streamed sessions to date.

Her subsequent hits, including “Colocao,” “Mamichula,” and “Mala Vida,” showcased her versatility and led to the release of her debut album, Recuerdos , in 2019. Nicki Nicole’s collaborations with renowned artists like Trueno, Rauw Alejandro, and Tiago PZK further catapulted her into the international spotlight. Her journey includes appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and NPR’s Tiny Desk , making her the fifth Argentine artist to participate in these prestigious sessions.

The spotlight on Nicki’s personal life intensified with her high-profile relationships , first with Argentine rapper Trueno and later with Peso Pluma. Their relationship became public at the Latin Billboard Awards, marking a new chapter in Nicki’s personal and professional life.

Hailing from Rio de Janeiro, Ludmilla has been a dominant force in the Latin music scene, blending baile funk with pop, trap, and R&B. In 2023, Ludmilla not only won a Latin Grammy for her album Numanice #2 but also achieved the remarkable feat of becoming the first Afro-Latina artist to reach one billion streams on Spotify.

Ludmilla’s musical journey began with her breakout hit “Fala Mal de Mim” in 2012, followed by the release of her fourth studio album, Numanice 2, in 2022. Her versatility extends to her participation in the Rio de Janeiro Carnival, where she debuted as a samba-enredo interpreter. Collaborations with artists like Emilia in their single “No Se Ve” and notable appearances in the Latin music scene further cemented Ludmilla’s status as a dynamic and influential artist.

In the summer of 2022, Young Miko caught the attention of the Latin music scene when she joined Bad Bunny on stage during his Un Verano Sin Ti concert. Hailing from Puerto Rico, Young Miko’s prowess in delivering sultry rap bars and sweet chanteo has earned her recognition from top-tier acts like Karol G and Arcángel.

Discovered by Latin hitmaker Caleb Calloway, Young Miko’s debut single “105 Freestyle” in 2021 set the stage for collaborations with artists such as Lunay, Lyanno, and Akapellah. Her debut EP, Trap Kitty, showcases her diverse talent and queerness, setting her apart as a rising star in the Latin trap scene.

At just 17 years old, Milo J is making significant strides. Collaborating with producer Bizarrap on the “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 57,” Milo J’s sessions have garnered attention thanks to his youthful energy and talent. His breakthrough came with the release of “Milagrosa” in 2022, earning recognition in his home country of Argentina.

Milo J’s collaborations with artists like Taiu and Foco Foking, along with his EP “511,” highlight his rapid ascent. Notably, his collaboration with Nicki Nicole on “Dispara ***” and performances at The Evening of the Year in 2023 alongside Duki and Nicki Nicole have made him an up-and-coming star in Latin music to keep an eye on.

Jaime Martín James, known as Louta, has been a chameleonic force in Argentine pop for nearly a decade. His unique blend of vintage aesthetics and contemporary sound has left a mark on the music scene. Louta’s significance in modern music was highlighted even more so when he opened for Taylor Swift during her recent visit to Argentina.

With hits like “Quereme” and collaborations with artists like WOS and Marilina Bertoldi, Louta’s 2024 journey includes three sold-out shows with Taylor Swift and releases like “Veneno” and “Diamante.” His multi-faceted approach to music, coupled with performances across Latin America, has made Louta a pivotal figure in the Spanish-language pop scene.
