Robert Plant, Alison Krauss Reunite for Summer 2024 North American Tour
by Tina Benitez-Eves February 13, 2024, 11:00 am
Robert Plant and Alison Krauss have reunited for a North American tour during the summer of 2024. The Can’t Let Go Tour kicks off on June 2 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and will stretch across the U.S. and Canada before wrapping up on September 1 in Vail, Colorado. The tour features performances at amphitheaters, pavilions, opera houses, and other historic venues. Supporting Plant and Krauss will be JD McPherson, along with bassist Dennis Crouch, drummer Jay Bellerose, string player Stuart Duncan, and Viktor Krauss on keys and guitar. Following a series of pre-sales beginning February 14, tickets for the Can’t Let Go Tour will go on sale on February 16.

“We’ve been doing this on and off since 2007,” said Krauss , “and it’s just gotten better every time we’ve gotten together.” This marks the first time the duo has performed together since releasing their second collaborative album, Raise The Roof in 2021. The album debuted in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 at No. 7 and spent 20 weeks at No. 1 on the Americana chart.
Plant and Krauss released their debut album Raising Sand in 2007, which went to No. 1 on the Billboard Rock chart and No. 2 on the Country and 200 charts. Raising Sand also earned the duo a Grammy for Album of the Year in 2009 as well as the same award at the Americana Music Honors & Awards a year earlier. “We have had such a great time making those records and touring that I’d love to see it happen again, too,” shared Krauss. “I feel like we’ve made something new when we recorded together. The whole thing has been a surprise for me. And I know it was for Robert too, although he seems to have more bravery in this department.” In January 2024, Plant also announced a U.K. headlining tour with his band Saving Grace, featuring Suzi Dian, with dates running in March and July of 2024. Before Raise the Roof , Plant released his 11th solo album Carry Fire . That year, Krauss also released her fourth solo album Windy City .

Since releasing Raise the Roof, Krauss said she’s been in the studio recording, while Plant is revisiting some music he’s had archived away. “I’ve also been going through all that stuff that I never released and never quite got finished, and getting excited about it, going, ‘Wow. What am I going to do with that?” said Plant. “It’s the idioms, the visitation, the places that I’ve been musically which were not complete are just mind-boggling, and they’re a little bit overwhelming.” Plant added, “Doing gigs is doing gigs, but actually making magic in the room is the only way you get to a gig,” said Plant. “Once you’ve got it, you can’t really blow it out of the water unless you have a real difference in personality. We don’t have that because we laugh at each other, but underneath it all there’s a lot of love and a strong affinity. It’s good. It’s really good.”

Business | Pepsi’s largest U.S. plant to open in Denver next year
The new manufacturing facility near the intersection of 72nd avenue and argonne street will span over 1 million square feet.
In the longstanding cultural debate of Pepsi vs. Coca-Cola, the Mile High City may soon side with the former, as Pepsi Co. plans to open its largest U.S. plant in Denver next summer.
PepsiCo Beverages North America announced its acquisition of more than 150 acres at the Denver High Point development area on Wednesday. Close to Denver International Airport, the new manufacturing facility near the intersection of 72nd Avenue and Argonne Street will span over one million square feet.
Pepsi, which has maintained a presence in Denver for almost 75 years, selected Colorado for the site over three other states. The new plant will replace Pepsi’s facility at 3801 Brighton Blvd. in the River North Art District, and hold triple its capacity.
The move will result in around 250 new jobs. In the Centennial State, Pepsi currently supports 1,200 employees.
“We’re thrilled to call Denver, a city that shares so many of our values, home to PepsiCo’s most sustainable U.S. plant location,” said Johannes Evenblij, the company’s West Division president. “With the High Point facility serving a model for the future of PBNA’s supply chain, we’re eager to continue deepening our dedication to Colorado through positive impacts such as new job opportunities and more sustainable business solutions.”
The corporate giant, which dominates the industry as one of North America’s biggest beverage companies, generated over $79 billion in net revenue last year. Employing about 291,000 people around the world, it maintains a presence in Latin America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.
The company says the new Denver facility will be its “most sustainable domestic outpost,” highlighting its commitment to 100% renewable electricity, water efficiency and more.
“PepsiCo has been committed to our community for nearly 75 years, and we’re proud that they have chosen to deepen their roots here and grow that commitment,” said Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock in a statement. “Not only will their new facility create more quality jobs in our city, it significantly boosts their commitment to sustainability and supports my administration’s climate action efforts.”
In March, the Denver City Council approved a $1 million incentive package to help Pepsi Co. move into the new site. The facility will produce Pepsi, Pepsi Zero Sugar, Gatorade, bubly, Rockstar, Propel, Muscle Milk and other products.

Pepsi to build its largest U.S. plant in Denver after city offers $1 million in incentives
PepsiCo. has chosen Denver as the place where it will build what will be its largest U.S. plant.
Colorado beat out three other states to become the site of the mammoth facility, Pepsi said in a statement Wednesday. The company acquired roughly 152 acres of land near Denver International Airport for the planned 1.2 million-square-foot manufacturing facility, which is set to open next year.
"We're thrilled to call Denver, a city that shares so many of our values, home to PepsiCo's most sustainable U.S. plant location,” said Johannes Evenblij, PepsiCo Beverages president of North America's West Division, in the statement.
In March, Denver City Council approved $1 million in incentives for Pepsi’s project. As Pepsi builds the facility and adds new jobs, the city will pay the company cash in installments. The city expects to make the payments over a multi-year period until the site is completed.
As part of the deal, Pepsi will move its longtime operation on Brighton Boulevard in Denver’s RiNo neighborhood to the new facility. The company says all 250 employees at the existing facility will be moved to the new site, and that they will create an additional 250 jobs — with an average wage of $65,000 — on top of that.
Denver officials estimate the project could bring $6 million in additional revenue to the city’s general fund over a five-year period and $11 million over a 10-year period.
Denver Councilwoman Candi CdeBaca, the only council member to vote against the deal, contends the new facility is primarily a good deal for Pepsi.
“This was a good deal for a multinational corporation who needed a newer, larger space and got a city to relocate and essentially build a community around their needs,” CdeBaca said in a text message. “Denverites should be concerned about how their tax dollars were spent in this deal and how this city caters to corporate needs when it is small businesses struggling to survive.”
The old facility on Brighton Boulevard is in CdeBaca’s district.

Pepsi to open 'largest U.S. plant' in northeast Denver
By Danielle Chavira
Updated on: July 13, 2022 / 6:26 PM MDT / CBS Colorado
Whether you know it by soda or pop, we're getting more of it in Denver. PepsiCo just acquired more than 150 acres in the High Point development area near Peña Boulevard and E-470.
The plan is to build a 1.2 million square foot facility in 2023 near 72nd Avenue and Argonne Street, east of Tower Road. This facility is said to hold three times more than the current facility in the RiNo neighborhood.
Pepsi officials claim this will be its largest U.S. plant location. A news release on Wednesday stated Denver was chosen from four other locations based on the long history between Pepsi and Colorado.
"The initiative is part of PBNA's effort to double down on its commitment to both the company's 1,200 current Coloradan employees and Denver's highly educated and skilled workforce populations," the release stated.
The new plant plans to create 250 jobs in addition to moving 250 employees from the RiNo location. Officials also call for "100% renewable electricity, best-in-class water efficiency and reduced virgin plastic use" at the new facility
"We're thrilled to call Denver, a city that shares so many of our values, home to PepsiCo's most sustainable U.S. plant location," said PepsiCo Beverages North America's West Division President, Johannes Evenblij. "With the High Point facility serving a model for the future of PBNA's supply chain, we're eager to continue deepening our dedication to Colorado through positive impacts such as new job opportunities and more sustainable business solutions."
Employment opportunities will be made available through outreach with the Denver Economic Development and Opportunity.
Products being manufactured will include Pepsi, Pepsi Zero Sugar, Gatorade, bubly, Rockstar, Propel and Muscle Milk.

Marina Zibareva, PepsiCo communications director for Russia, Ukraine and CIS told DairyReporter, “PepsiCo aims to deliver long-term sustainable growth in Russia and the sale of our Anna plant will enable us to achieve this goal by focusing on continued development of our major production sites.”
She said the Anna dairy plant remains fully operational and production of long shelf-life sterilized milk will continue as normal at the site while the company seeks a buyer.
The Anna dairy plant was built in 1977 and became part of Wimm-Bill-Dann JSC in 2001. PepsiCo acquired Wimm-Bill-Dann in 2011.
The Voronezh region is in the southwest of the country, bordering Ukraine.
Dairy plant in Nizhny Novogorod
PepsiCo has also launched a new line for manufacturing Agusha and Chudo Detki baby food yogurts as the final stage of its large-scale investment project to expand capacity of the Nizhny Novgorod Dairy Plant, which is part of Wimm-Bill-Dann.
With the launch of the new line, the total capacity of the plant, 400km east of Moscow, will double.
The expansion has also resulted in the creation of 40 additional jobs at the plant.
President of PepsiCo Russia, Ukraine and CIS, Silviu Popovich, said the expansion project started three years ago.
“As a result, we have built a new baby food manufacturing department and installed five new lines. Now we will be able to manufacture high quality baby food locally using milk purchased from Nizhny Novgorod farmers,” Popovich said.
Regional support
In 2015, milk shakes and liquid milk production lines were launched at the plant; in summer 2016, a drinkable yogurt line was launched.
The Nizhny Novgorod dairy plant, which was built in 1984, is one of the largest dairy sites in the region, with 15 production lines.
Product range
Agusha was launched as a baby food brand in 2001. Today, the brand’s product range includes milk, kefir, yogurts, curds, fermented milk drinks, juices, compotes, purees, porridge, milk formula and milk shakes.
Chudo Detki are products manufactured specially for preschool and school-aged children.
