In October and November 2023, The Corrs will return to Australia for a seven date national tour, joined by Aussie pop royalty Natalie Imbruglia, the legendary Toni Childs and Adelaide trio, Germein. 

After the success of their One Night Only show at the Hunter Valley’s Hope Estate in late November, The Corrs are thrilled to return in 2023 and bring their music to fans all over the country. The Hope Estate show was described as a night to remember as fans welcomed the band’s return with exhilarating fervour. 

When asked about their recent show and their return, The Corrs responded “ Returning to Oz was a dream come true! What a spectacular night and audience – we loved every second! Can’t wait to see you all for a full tour next year!”.

One of Australia’s most loved pop artists, Natalie Imbruglia will be joining The Corrs on their 2023 Australian Tour. Most known for her chart-topping smash hit, Torn, the most-played song on Australian radio since 1990, she is easily a household name.

Log into your Ticketmaster account and update your password if needed!

Get in early and ensure all your MyTicketmaster account details are up to date – from your password to your card details and your phone number.

28 years after the release of their breakthrough debut album, The Corrs returned to Australia on Wednesday night to kick off their Australian tour in Perth.

The Irish siblings, who visited our shores for a one-off concert last year but haven’t embarked upon a full tour Down Under since 2001, were joined by fellow 90s legend Natalie Imbruglia, as well as Toni Childs and Aussie group Germain.

Unlike the majority of their peers – the less said of Oasis the better – the four Irish siblings had the bond of blood to help them avoid the bitter breakups that plagued the likes of All Saints and Spice Girls in the 90s.

In fact, they only took time off to give birth to eight more potential future Corrs members.

The camaraderie within the group became clear the moment they stepped out on stage, and you could have been fooled into thinking they’d flown in straight from their nineties heyday.

While the band has never been synonymous with “cool” – their biggest scandal to hit the Corrs is member Jim claiming climate change is a myth – everything about the show felt like the musical equivalent of a warm hug.

Andrea Corr’s vocals sounded ethereal reverberating around the arena as she belted out Runaway , but her shining moment came during their cover of Fleetwood Mac classic Dreams , where she gave Stevie Nicks a run for her money.

There was plenty of Irish charm throughout, to the point where it felt like they could have done a cover of B*Witched’s Cest La Vie and the audience, who were in the palm of their hand from the get-go, wouldn’t have batted an eyelash.

What Can I Do translated gloriously in a live setting, and the band made sure to sprinkle their biggest hits among newer material to keep fans entertained throughout.

Sadly, the same couldn’t be said for Imbruglia, who despite her best efforts, for some reason didn’t quite manage to win over the audience.

While not being a co-headline tour, support act Imbuglia’s set was also an hour-and-a-half, which allowed her plenty of time to throw out her big hits including a rousing rendition of angsty 90s break-up anthem Big Mistake.

While she tried her best to warm up the crowd, sadly for Imbruglia, Perth’s audience seemed in desperate need of an adrenaline shot. At one point during her competent set, a man heckled the Aussie star, yelling “where are the Corrs!”. To make matters worse, near the end of her set there was a noticeable sigh after she told the crowd “I’m not doing that one just yet, you’ll have to wait,” in reference to her biggest hit Torn.

It was an unwarranted lacklustre reception: Imbruglia sounded better than ever, and, at least in my eyes, has easily cemented her position as one of Aussie music’s biggest legends. Here’s hoping the rest of Australia give Imbruglia the reception she thoroughly deserves.

Meanwhile, after starting in Perth last night, the tour will be making its way across Australia, hitting Bribie Island, Sydney, Newcastle, Adelaide, Launceston, and Melbourne, with tickets available here.

The Corrs announce Australian and New Zealand tour dates for 2023

Natalie Imbruglia will support across the band's first full-scale national tour in over 20 years

The Corrs have announced a tour for Australia and New Zealand, which will kick off towards the end of 2023.

The Irish band originally shared news of the tour to social media over the weekend (December 4). At the time, they revealed that the Australian run of shows would take place throughout October and November next year, and that they’d be joined on the tour by support acts Natalie Imbruglia , Toni Childs, and Germein. The cities on the tour were confirmed, but not the dates and venues themselves.

Today (December 7), the full itinerary of the Australian tour has been revealed – with information on their New Zealand tour reportedly “to follow”. It can be viewed below, along with an official announcement post from the Corrs’ social media:

A pre-sale run by the tour promoter, One World Entertainment, will take place on Monday December 12 from 9am local time. General sale will follow 24 hours later, at 9am local time on Tuesday December 13. Fans can sign up for information on the pre-sale here.

The announcement of The Corrs’ Australian tour comes just over a week after their one-off performance at Hunter Valley’s Hope Estate Winery. The show not only marked the band’s first Australian appearance since 2001, but their first show at all since 2017. They were joined at that gig by Scottish pop band Wet Wet Wet , as well as Darlinghurst and Gaudion.

The Hunter Valley show was notable for its use of 500 programmed drones, which moved in sync with the final two songs of The Corrs’ setlist. Throughout the night, The Corrs played tracks from the full breadth of their discography, including their ARIA Top Ten singles ‘Runaway’ and ‘Breathless’.

Prior to that, The Corrs held a cocktail party in Sydney on November 25, where they were interviewed by entertainment reporter Richard Wilkins, quizzed during an audience Q&A session and participated in meet-and-greet opportunities with fans.

The Corrs were formed in 1990 by the namesake Corr siblings: Sharon, Caroline, Jim and Andrea. The band’s first four albums during their initial run from 1990 to 2006 were particularly popular in Australia, with each being certified Platinum locally. The Corrs’ last studio album, ‘Jupiter Calling’, arrived in November 2017.

But the Irish family are coming Down Under for a special one night only incredibly evening of wine and song at Hope Estate in the heart of NSW's Hunter Valley wine region. Britain's Wet Wet Wet, Australia's Ben Lee and emerging artist Gaudion will be special guests on the evening.

The Corrs, consisting of Andrea (lead vocals, tin whistle), Sharon (violin, piano, vocals), Caroline (drums, piano, vocals) and Jim (guitar, piano, vocals) have sold more than 40 million albums worldwide and in excess of two million albums in Australia since their 1995 debut album Forgiven Not Forgotten . An enchanting mix of traditional Celtic music with a pop rock twist, The Corrs have written some of the biggest songs of the last three decades.

Their second album, Talk on Corners , is their biggest selling album to date and included the singles I Never Loved You Anyway and So Young .

After a short break, The Corrs returned in 2000 with In Blue, which had their last top 10 hit in Australia, Breathless . Their last tour of Australia was in 2001 in support of the album.

Returning to their folk roots with Borrowed Heaven and Home , The Corrs went on a decade long hiatus to raise families, only to return in 2015 with White Light and their latest release, 2017's Jupiter Calling .

Also getting on stage that evening is Wet Wet Wet, well known for tracks including Love Is All Around from the soundtrack Four Weddings and a Funeral and Sweet Surrender. The band last toured Australia in 1995 and their latest album, 2021's The Journey , is their first in over a decade.

Ben Lee has been one of Australia's most successful singer songwriters of the new millennium. Cigarette's Will Kill You and Catch My Disease have been radio staples for years and his 2006 smash, We're All In This Together.

Emerging artist, Gaudion will impress you with his charisma energy and zest for life which are embodied in his music as he continues his mission to spread happiness everywhere! Gaudion is nominated for Breakout Artist of the Year at this year's Gold Coast Music Awards and his unique style is influenced by the likes of Van Morrison, Ed Sheeran, James Reyne and Tracy Chapman.

Irish family band The Corrs returned to Australia for the first time in 21 years to play a one-off show in the Hunter Valley last November. They’re back again this year for a more comprehensive tour , playing arenas and outdoor spaces in Perth, Bribie Island, Sydney, Newcastle, Adelaide, Launceston and Melbourne.

The Corrs Will Return To Australian for 2023 Tour

One week after their triumphant one-off Australian performance in New South Wales, promoter Andrew McManus has announced he will be bringing The Corrs back for a national tour in 2023.

In a statement McManus said, “It’s been two years since we first approached The Corrs with our plan for them to reform and perform here in Australia, throughout that time we’ve lived through Covid and the lockdowns, Australian border closures and so much more. Taking everything into account over our journey from our first approach to watching the bands brilliance on stage when they performed live at Hope Estate was an incredibly proud achievement by my team. I observed the tenacity of their agent in the UK, refusing to give in regardless of the obstacles which spurred our resolve here in Australia to bring this project home. Adding the spectacular display of the choreography of 500 drones moving in synch to the final two songs during the encore is another achievement of which we are proud.”

The 2023 line-up will includes guests Natalie Imbruglia, Toni Childs and Germein.

A statement from The Corrs reads, “Returning to Oz was a dream come true! What a spectacular night and audience – we loved every second! Can’t wait to see you all for a full tour next year! ”

The Corrs Down Under tour will happen across October and November 2023. The dates will be announced this Wednesday, 7 December.

The Corrs: Down Under Tour, Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne, October 6th 2023 – Live Review

Andrea Corr, Caroline Corr, Jim Corr, and Sharon Corr, collectively known as pop rock, folk rock, and Celtic fusion band The Corrs, have returned to Australia for their 2023 Down Under Tour . In a long-anticipated visit, The Corrs performed to a sold-out show at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne for the first time in 20 years.

It’s absurd just how much talent comes from the one family. I remember listening to The Corrs growing up and it never occurred to me back then that the Irish band were family. With Andrea on lead vocals and the tin flute, Caroline on drums, percussion, cajon box and bodhrán, Jim on the guitar and keyboard, and Sharon on additional vocals and the violin, accompanied with touring members Anthony Drennan on the lead guitar and Keith Duffy on the bass guitar, what they combined to create was a wonderful concert filled with a mutual exchange of love between the talented band and their patient and passionate Melbourne fans.

With minimal stage set up to house the total of 6 touring members, only some smoke machines and colourful lighting were used for The Corrs . But this didn’t matter because it was all about the music. Making a dramatic entrance with clever lighting and Caroline on the drums, the band quickly jumped into their hit ‘Only When I Sleep’ after appearing on stage.

While it was great to hear the classics that the band are known for including ‘Radio’ , ‘So Young’ , and ‘I Never Loved You Anyway’ to name a few, the band actually shined when performing instrumentals including ‘Toss the Feather’ and ‘Erin Shore’ , transporting patrons to Ireland without us ever leaving the ground. The way their music combined was pure bliss for the ears. Even when The Corrs members harmonised with each other, everything was just so lovely to listen to. In fact, Sharon ’s violin skills often made my jaw drop from how beautiful her violin sounded.

Despite the concert being one massive and very welcome nostalgia fuelled trip, The Corrs sounded as fresh as ever, making their skills look easy and the covers sound like their own songs including ‘Little Lies’ and ‘Dreams’ from Fleetwood Mac . The band appeared just as happy to be performing at Rod Laver Arena as the fans were to see them in it. There was even a very sweet story of a past visit to Melbourne where fans were even lined up to happily meet The Corrs members’ parents at a signing. They also sounded just as good as the records I had listened to when I was a kid.

Considering the band hadn’t been back in 20 years, this was my first time seeing them live and they did not disappoint. Andrea looked to be a bundle of energy and genuine joy, Caroline was fierce an killing it on the drums, Jim looked focused and effortless on his multiple instruments, and Sharon appeared so graceful and mesmerising on the violin. Together they wowed everyone in the venue and it really should be criminal just how much talent can be contained in one family!

The highlight of the night though was when The Corrs performed ‘Runaway’ and the audience began to sing before Andrea could start herself. Merging to form a gorgeous choir and singalong, Andrea was visibly touched and let the Melbourne audience runaway with the first verse and chorus on their own. Surprisingly in a special moment, the audience were completely in tune and beautifully harmonising together. By the time ‘Breathless’ was performed, everyone in Rod Laver Arena was clapping along, singing, and were up and dancing. You’d be hard pressed to find anyone in the venue not having a good time.

Although it has been 20 years since their last visit, it felt like The Corrs they were never gone. They were brilliant and thoroughly impressed everyone while filling every inch of the venue with their signature Irish infused sounds. Hopefully it won’t take another 20 years for them to return for another tour.

Proudly presented by Apex Entertainment and One World Entertainment , The Corrs played at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on Monday October 6th, 2023, as part of The Corrs‘ 2023 Down Under Tour . The Melbourne show was the final leg of their Australian tour, having previously visited Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Newcastle, Adelaide, and Launceston. The Corrs are now headed to New Zealand for two shows in Christchurch and Auckland respectively.

The Corrs (formed in 1991) is an Irish family pop, rock and celtic fusion band, best known for their third full-length pop album “In Blue”, hailing from Dundalk, Country Louth, Ireland.

Prior to the formation of the Coors, siblings Jim and Sharon Corr began playing music together at their aunt’s pub, McManus’s. Fellow siblings Caroline and Andrea Corr subsequently joined and the Corrs was born. The group’s breakthrough came when they landed roles in the 1991 film, “The Commitments”, and secured John Hughes as their manager. Following a successful show at Whelan’s Bar in Dublin, the group were invited by the U.S. ambassador for Ireland to play at the 1994 FIFA World Cup in Boston.

After singing with Atlantic Records, the Corrs released their debut studio album “Forgiven, Not Forgotten” in September 1995. Combining the traditional celtic fiddle work and vocals with folk and alternative rock, the album spawned the singles “Runaway”, “Forgiven, Not Forgotten”, “The Right Time”, and “Love to Love You”. In support of the record, which charted in over 18 countries, the Corrs embarked on a world tour from April 1996 which included Europe, Australia, Asia, America, and Canada.

The band’s sophomore album “Talk On Corners” was released in 1997 and produced by Glen Ballard, known for his work with Alanis Morissette. Aided by the Top 10 singles “Only When I Sleep”, “I Never Loved You Anyway”, “What Can I Do”, and “Dreams”, the record catapulted the group to UK success, topping the Irish and the UK Albums Chart. The Corrs’ third full-length to date, “In Blue”, followed in July 2000, marked by a move towards mainstream pop and away from celtic traditions. Toping the charts in nine countries including the UK, Ireland, Germany, and Australia, the record produced the singles “Breathless”, “Irresistible”, and “Give Me a Reason”.

In 2001, the band issued the compilation “Best of The Corrs” before contributing to Josh Groban’s debut album “Canto Alla Vita”. The Corrs subsequently performed a successful show at Ardmore Studios in which U2’s Bono and the Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood made appearances, which culminated in the live album, “VH1 Presents: The Corrs, Live in Dublin”. Returning to their folk rock roots, the band’s fourth studio album “Borrowed Heaven” arrived in May 2004. Led by the singles “Summer Sunshine”, “Angel”, and “Long Night”, the record didn’t prove as popular with mainstream audiences however was seen as a return to form.

Completely dropping the mainstream pop influences, released exactly 10 years after “Forgiven, Not Forgotten”, the Corrs’ fifth studio album “Home” arrived in September 2005. Earning a string of positive reviews, the record went on to sell over a million copies, led by the single “Heart Like a Wheel/Old Town”.

Live reviews

This was the first time I'd seen the Corrs since their memorable St Patrick's Day gig at the Royal Albert Hall in 1998, in part due to them taking a decade break from 2005. The other reason for that was the gradual move towards mainstream pop, and starting to play at Arenas such as this, which made them a lot less appealing. The Corrs are not suited to arena gigs - their sound is just, well, not big enough. A theatre is much more them.

Anyhow, this was at the O2 arena, and to be fair they made a good fist of it. However, too often they were neglecting their roots (e.g. playing a medley of great folk instrumentals, rather than giving the songs the time they deserve, and playing them in full), and particularly Sharon's fab fiddle playing. When they did go back to them (e.g. on 'Toss the Feathers', and 'Radio', with an excellent extended fiddle outro), they were excellent, there just needed to be more of it. And there needed to be more, full stop, with the set around 1 hr 45 minutes, at least 15 minutes too short for an established act.

The set was also far too heavy on their second album 'Talk on Corners', with 6 songs from it played (including 'Dreams'), although a couple of the highlights - a very rocky 'So Young' and 'Queen of Hollywood' (featuring a storming guitar solo) - were from that album.

All, in all, a good gig, albeit one with ups and downs - and well worth seeing.

With countless platinum selling albums and singles released over the years, the Corr siblings continue to produce and perform their famous combination of traditional Celtic Irish themes, with pop/rock music which maintains its appeal of originality. When I saw them in concert, the night flew past, it all seems like an incredibly magical blur. I was lucky enough to get tickets for myself and a few friends in Manchester, and it really was the best gig i've ever been to. There was something extremely special about seeing the musicians perform with such passion and enthusiasm to such a vast audience, whilst seeming to personally interact with everyone in the concert hall.

They came to the stage just after 19.30, to the backing track of a prerecorded introduction that fuelled the enthusiasm of the audience even further. They launched straight into their first song without any introduction, which created tumultuous screams from the fans. After a few of their classics, they stopped to introduce the show, and thank us for being there which was really great. I loved how they played a great balance of the classics, really well known songs, and also some of their new material which is great! A simply unbelievable concert, don't miss out if you get the chance to go.

Hi, I am 72 years old, and I believe i am one of the eldest followers\fans of The Corrs.

I follow this wonderful group ever since when the first album "Forgiven Not Forgotten" was launched in 1996, and after having listened to it, I haven't rested until I bought it. I own the whole band's discography either in CD's and DVD's and I was present in the first live concert in Portugal - Braga when it took place in 2005, it was a spectacular performance and one of the last before the band fell apart, and since it did I became interested in Sharon Corr and her performances instead. Which remind me of her concert in Galicia - S. Tiago de Compostela in the Lope de Vega theater, and in Dublin - The Sugar Club in which I was also present.

In regard to what I think about the White Light Tour in Dublin - Arena 3 no words can describe it, it was the best concert I watched in my whole life and is one that I will forever remember.

I was touched by that performance and the experience it was. Easily the best concert of The Corrs for me, they know how value the merit given to them by their fans and naturally you can count on me in future events.

Ireland has produced good musicians & great musicians over the years but The Corrs would be very top of the pile.

I'm an Irishman living in Australia for many years but my sister lives in Jenkinstown Dundalk.

Every time I visit I hope I might run into one of The Corrs in a local pub, well no harm in dreaming!

Really hoping the Corrs might do a world tour in the next few years?

I'm thinking most of the band members are married now with families so it's probably very difficult to tour these days.

The Corrs are adored worldwide & especially here in Australia.

That raw fresh Irish sound which is so original comprising the fiddle, tin whistle etc. to the pure voice of Andrea,there is simply nothing else like it.

The entire Corr family are just so talented & when they combine the music they create together is just magic!

This was not just a Corrs concert. It was their first performance in 11 years!

We've been following them for years so when we heard that they were working on a new album and were expected to perform at BBC Radio 2 Live at Hyde Park we were very excited!

Before their set, a clip of their hit songs and some live footage was shown, getting cheers from the audience.

They played a 30 minutes set which included Breathless, Runaway, Dreams, What Can I Do, Radio and Toss The Feathers.

There were some technical problems during the first song and it was clear they were very nervous, but who could blame them! They probably weren't sure of the audience reaction but they really had nothing to worry about, as everyone was clapping, cheering and singing along. Runaway was a very emotional moment!

It was great to see them back on stage together and, if anyone is wondering, YES, they still got it!!

I had seen the Corrs live twice before but after a gap of 10 years and a rather subdued performance in Hyde Park (seen on TV) I was concerned that the family band may have lost their touch.

Seconds into the set I felt reassured and by the end I knew they are back, back, back.

There was an instant standing ovation from their first appearance on stage which continued throughout the set.(NB: if you like sitting get a banked seat)

A mix of fast, slow, new, old (plus the 'traditional section') would have pleased most fans.

The new album 'White Light' was given a fair hearing but sprinkled throughout.

The staging was also up to standard with projection and various light effects enhancing the music rather than being a distraction.

There was no escaping the warmth of affection between audience and the group and I was pleased to witness the first leg of the revival

The Corrs at Epsom Racecourse on a cold windy evening did not seem a promising prospect -any more than the 50-1 outsider that I backed, but how wrong I was. With the strong wind blowing into their faces the whole concert they were magnificent, even more polished than they were when they were last touring. They performed the best from their extensive back catalogue including all the hits plus their wonderful repertoire of traditional irish songs faultlessly, and a few new songs, I guess from their new album thrown in. Their one and a half hour concert just flew by and sadly the crowd were not granted 'more'. Despite contending the wind full on, the sound mix was excellent. If I was being a bit picky, maybe the vocals could have been a bit louder. If you liked the Corrs don't miss seeing them. You won't regret it. Forgiven for the break, and definitely not forgotten

As always a rock based opening with well established favourites before slowing down to the 'Irish' and acoustic sections.Kiss of life and Ellis Island are becoming fan favourites. Andrea , delightfully, couldn't understand why the crowd laughed when she introduced Ellis Island as a song about immigration!We all joined in with Runaway, stood for Breathless and generally had a superb time.Only dampener was the band not being allowed to play 'toss the Feathers' as they reached the site curfew time.Shame on you BP.

I adore The Corrs and have every CD. Looking forward to their new CD release on Nov 10th! I’ve seen them in the states at the Jones Beach Concert Hall on LI, saw Sharon perform at the Bolton Center in Bayshore, NY, and again saw The Corrs at the Titanic in Belfast in 2016. Their beautiful lilting and uplifting music is a joy to listen to, and their stage presence is vibrant!

The Corrs To Announce 2023 Australian Tour Dates This Week

It's official! The Irish siblings will return to Australia for more than "one night only" with special guests.

A week after playing a One Night Only concert at the Hope Estate in the Hunter Valley, The Corrs are already planning a full-blown Australian tour.

The Breathless  outfit posted the good news on social media last night. "It's official," the band noted with a celebratory emoji. "We're heading back DOWN UNDER to Australia & New Zealand and will be joined by special guests Natalie Imbruglia, Toni Childs,  and Germein .

In a recent  The Music cover story, Sharon Corr reminisced  about the family band's success, their hits, Crowded House , and more. 

She has a unique partnership with the band's current keyboardist and record producer, Mitchell Froom . “I grew up loving Crowded House. They’re such authentic songwriters, and that’s the thing that I always gravitate towards because it feels like the truth. It is the truth,” she says. 

Corr is a Crowded House superfan. Songs like Into Temptation , Private Universe , Fall at Your Feet , Four Seasons in One Day , and Weather with You display a kind of songwriting she adores: when a man expresses his vulnerabilities and desires in an upbeat fashion.

“I remember being in Sydney long ago, and I would spend all day in my room between gigs listening to Crowded House,” she smiles. Woodface is a beautifully crafted album, a classic record that turns unusual corners and features strange influences. Corr had to know who produced it.

“I looked to see who the producer was, and it was Mitchell Froom. We were going to do MTV Unplugged, and our manager then asked, 'who would you like to be the producer?' and I instantly said, Mitchell Froom. Our manager went, 'well, let me see what I can do.' Mitchell was super curious about the family band dynamic and me because he had that with Tim and Neil Finn, which can be rocky territory, especially for a producer.” 

Froom went to Dublin and spent a long time with The Corrs rehearsing, rearranging, and reworking songs to create the MTV Unplugged concert. “And then, subsequently, I asked him to produce my second solo record. I did that in Los Angeles with him. He's very cool, understated, heartfelt, and goddamn brilliant. He is superb.”

The band's initial run established The Corrs as a beloved act in Australia, with albums Forgiven, Not Forgotten  and In Blue  reaching #1 on the ARIA charts, with Talk On Corners   peaking at #3. Their singles Breathless, Runaway, Love To Love You  and  Forgiven, Not Forgotten,  are among several songs to find favour with Australian audiences, performing well on the charts and receiving widespread radio play.
