Hello all. First off I would like to say I am very sorry for taking so long to get this review out but this last weekend for the first time I have had a chance to use the bag. It has been pretty cold here in Indiana. Anyway, on the review…

The Adidas aG Tour Stand Bag

I have been a staff bag guy for the last 5 years. I just love everything about a staff bag. I love the size and I love to over pack stuff. I kept sun screen and bug repellant in my last staff bag. Since I ride the cart 90% of the time, the staff bag has never been a problem. And on the occasion that I did walk, I have a nice Sun Mountain 3.5 stand bag. However, I am 37 now and I need to lose weight. So I start looking for what I call a 'hybrid' bag. Bigger than the standard light-weight stand bag but smaller than a staff bag. The aG Tour Bag fits this perfectly. Weighing in at 6.5lbs, it is not super light-weight. But if I can manage not overstuff the bag, I think this will be fine. One of the things I was really impressed by was how well-made the bag is. Everything seems to be thought out very well and put together even better. The zippers are so easy to use but feel very sturdy. The material around the club opening is so nice; I have no worries of it fraying after taking the clubs in and out. The straps are very well padded and feel good on the shoulders.

This weekend, I rode the cart as I only had 4 hours to play. The bag sat perfectly on the cart and a lot better than my SM 3.5. I am looking forward to this summer when I can walk 9-18 with this bag.

My bag consists of:

TaylorMade R11, TaylorMade 5wd and TaylorMade Rescue

Miura CB-501 4i - 9i

Miura 47* Y-Grind PW, 53* Y-Grind SW, 59* C-Grind LW

C&L Putter with a Black Clover putter grip

Tell me about the pockets. They look very limiting as far as how much you can fit inside them or how much they'll expand. For example, could you fit a pair of golf shoes somewhere? Also, what's the material like? Lastly, are you able to compare it weight-wise with the SM 3.5? Does it feel like a drastic difference? Don't see these in stores so thanks for the review and for all your help!

One other thing, would you mind taking some comparison pics with the adidas next to the 3.5? Really appreciate all your help.

I received this same Adidas Tour Stand bag (all black) as a Christmas present from my wife December 2009. Do not like the straps. Hard to adjust. Fortunately I ride 100% of the time but can be awkward carrying to the range. Big complaint is just after 15 months...the fabric dividers which keeps the clubs separated inside the bag have torn. When I pull out a club it pulls this fabric out with it. Need to return. But very disappointed given the price of the bag.

Sure it is heavier, but it also feels like it is made better. The material is a polyurethane type and faux leather feel, Like the newer staff bags. The pockets are ok overall. Pocket no. 1 - long deep pocket and I would say you could put in a pair of shoes in this pocket. I have the rain cover, a rain vest and cap in there now. Pocket no. 2 - Small pocket, velvet type material lined. I use it for my coins (aka ball markers), divot tool, keys and phone. Pocket no. 3 - small pocket with vent holes. I keep my TM weight wrench and range finder. Pocket no. 4 - small but semi-deep pocket. I keep my tees in here. Pocket no. 5 - deep pocket. I put all of my balls in that pocket. I have 2 dozen in there now and still plenty of room. Pocket no. 6 - water bottle - not as big as I would like. I got a Dasani water bottle and it was pretty tight. Regardless, it seems like it is made very nice. And I had no problems carry the bag to the range as I felt the straps are very nice.

[/quote] thanks again for everything. just another reason why WRXers kick a$$. seems like all the weight is in the fabric and materials used then? looks like a very sturdy, well-made bag with thick fabric. i'd be all over this as it's by far my favorite-looking stand bag, but i am concerned about the weight. i live in NYC and don't have a car, so, when i can't get a ride from a friend i'm taking subways/trains/cabs to courses. plus, i ride maybe only 20% of the time tops. this bag seems like it may be better for someone who has their own convenient transportation and rides a bit more than walks. be a great bag for my golf trips though!

thanks for a very nice review and pictures!! can one of you (Lecoqchateau or edwelly) comment on the durability of the liner material? - the last thing I want is to have this falling apart - full length liners are THE key feature for me on any bag and this one looks like a winner.
