Join us for a memorable whale watching adventure aboard one of our custom built 48 passenger boats.  Our large windows and seating configuration put you in the perfect spot to view and photograph active humpback whales as they swim by, spouting & sounding, maybe even leaping out of the water or bubble-net feeding.  Top off your adventure with a scrumptious meal featuring wild Alaskan salmon grilled over an open alder wood fire. You’ll call this combination amazing. We call it the Best of Juneau®.  In addition to humpback whales it's not uncommon to see sea lions, porpoise, seals, bald eagles and orcas. In addition to our whale watching & salmon bake combo, we offer opportunities to experience Alaska's wilderness, wildlife and spectacular scenery on one of our other guided tours such as whitewater rafting on a glacier-fed river, sea kayaking, native-style canoeing or gold panning.

• Occasions to learn about Alaska’s unique flora and fauna
• An overall enjoyable Segway riding experience on the pristine Alpine meadows .

Pickup Location and Departure

Pickup for the Alpine Wilderness Trail Ride begins at the downtown Juneau cruise ship docks under the Mt. Robert’s Tramway, located at 409 S Franklin.

Guests should arrive 15 minutes prior to the tour’s scheduled departure time and look for the Segway Tour sign and a white shuttle van.

Once at the meeting point, you will receive their safety equipment and get a brief training session on operating the Segway X2 Personal Transporter.

The tour group is limited to 10 participants , and a minimum of 3 guests is required for the adventure to proceed.

Guests should wear weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes for the 3-hour excursion.

Participant Restrictions and Requirements

The Alpine Wilderness Trail Ride has a few participant restrictions and requirements.

Riders must weigh at least 99 lbs (45 kg) and no more than 250 lbs (113 kg), and be under 70 years old.

We couldn’t have asked for a better day! A little rain but it only added to the excitement. We were able to see eagles, seals and lots of whales! We had a group of 7 feeding right next to us. The guides were great, full of knowledge and experience as was the captain who kept us out a bit longer since the whale watching was so spectacular. We signed up for this at the last minute because I never thought I would enjoy whale watching but it became one of the best experiences of our vacation. ~ Trip Advisor Review
