Costco Disneyland Tickets 2024

For families looking to save money on their Disneyland vacation, Costco Disneyland Tickets used to be a popular option for park tickets. Costco is well-known for offering bulk products and services at lower prices to its members. In the past, this included multi-day Disneyland tickets at a discount compared to gate prices.

However, Costco’s Disneyland ticket offerings have changed in recent years. In this article, we’ll explore the current status of Disneyland tickets and alternative ways for budget-conscious travelers to find discounts to the Happiest Place on Earth!

Does Costco Sell Disneyland Tickets?

There’s no doubt that these tickets are a great deal – when they’re available, that is. Unfortunately, while  Costco  did offer discounted tickets to members previously, they are no longer on offer in warehouses or online.

But fear not! Just because Costco tickets for Disneyland are no longer available doesn’t mean you can’t still score some sweet ticket deals. In fact, in partnership with our trusted affiliate, Undercover Tourist, Park Savers is proud to offer pricing that is just as good or better for Disneyland tickets (see below for details).

Disneyland Tickets Costco Alternatives

Costco may no longer be selling cheap Disneyland tickets, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t still deals and steals to be had. That’s where Park Savers and Undercover Tourist come in.

How do I still save cash on Disneyland tickets without Costco deals?

Although they may no longer be your destination for discount Disneyland tickets, Costco.com isn’t the only place to score Disney ticket deals. Authorized ticket retailers like our affiliate, Undercover Tourist, are an excellent, budget-friendly alternative to Disneyland Costco tickets.

Ready to save money on pricey Disney tickets? Purchase your discount tickets with Undercover Tourist following these simple steps:

UCT Disney Tickets

  • Review  Undercover Tourist’s  page to view available tickets. You’ll have the option to choose a complete package or tickets only.
  • Next, choose how many adults and kids will be in your party. Adults are ages 10+ and children are ages 3-9. Infants 2 and under are free.
  • Now, select your dates. Set your dates for the first day you want to spend in the parks to the last day of your time at Disney.
  • Complete your search and take a look at the results. You should have several options to choose from, including Park Hopper Tickets and 1 Park Per Day Tickets, both with and without  Disney Genie+ , Disneyland’s new, paid line-skipping service. Select whichever one you’re interested in to display actual pricing and choose your number of days.
  • Once you know which ticket you want (2, 3, 4 or 5 days), you’ll see a total price displayed. Add the tickets to your cart and begin the checkout process.
  • During checkout, you will have the opportunity to add additional theme parks to your cart including Universal Studios, Knott’s Berry Farm, Medieval Times and more. If you do not want to include any of these options, simply hit “continue.”
  • On the cart page, confirm your order and add the “Peace of Mind Plan,” Undercover Tourist’s travel insurance offering, if you so desire. Then, click “continue” to go to the payment details page.
  • Enter in your billing information, including your address and form of payment. It’s all done securely through the website. You can even use PayPal if you’d like.
  • Now “continue” to the final page before confirmation and review everything one last time. Click “purchase” if everything looks good.
  • Your confirmation page will confirm your order, and you will also receive emails confirming your order as well as your tickets.

Your tickets will be sent to you via email. They can either be printed off or simply shown from your phone at the gate. You do not need to stop by any box office for an exchange, as these are e-tickets. This saves you a lot of time.

Can I Link Costco Tickets to the Disneyland App?

Yes, you can link your tickets to the official Disneyland App, though your tickets will be purchased through our affiliate Undercover Tourist rather than Costco. The app is designed to make your trip easier, as it contains almost everything you need to take advantage of all the park services including your tickets, dining, maps, entertainment times and, of course, access to  Disney Genie , Genie+ and Individual  Lightning Lane  Selections. When they’re available, Costco California Disneyland tickets can also be added to the app after purchase.

Your tickets can be linked by opening the app, clicking “My Tickets” and then clicking the + symbol in the top right corner. Have your tickets out and scan each barcode using your device. You’ll next enter the name of the person using the ticket before you finish adding them. Then, simply rinse and repeat for every person in your group. This includes 1 day Disneyland tickets and up!

So Does Costco Have Disneyland Tickets?

Having gone through all of the history and details of Disneyland tickets from Costco Wholesale the question remains: does Costco have Disneyland tickets?

The answer is no. They do not sell individual theme park tickets for Disneyland or California Adventure Park. As of 2024 the only way to get them is Costco is to include them in a travel package which we explain in more detail below.

Costco Disneyland Tickets Guide

Where to Find Disneyland Tickets From Costco

Should they be offered again, if you’re going to visit your local warehouse and purchase Disneyland discount tickets, Costco theme park deals can usually be found by following these simple steps:

  • Locate the nearest Costco warehouse. If you’re out of town, search for one on Google Maps or use Costco’s warehouse finder online.
  • After arriving, look for the section of the store that carries beef jerky and popcorn. It is usually in this area that gift cards and theme park tickets are located. If you can’t find them, ask someone at guest services.
  • Once you’ve located the stand, look for  Disneyland Resort tickets . If Costco carries them, they will have cardboard cutouts for each ticket you want to purchase. Grab as many as you need and head to the registers.
  • At the registers, let the cashier know you want to buy Costco Disneyland Tickets. They will have someone go to the back to get your actual tickets.
  • Once purchased, you can take your tickets and head straight to the parks. No box office exchange is required.
  • Of course, if none of the warehouses have them (which they don’t), you may want to consider purchasing them  with us  at our Best Price Guarantee. Additionally, we offer $400 in digital coupons and straight-to-the-gate delivery.

Availability can change until the park reservation is confirmed. Staying at a Disneyland® Resort hotel or a Good Neighbor Hotel does not guarantee a park reservation. To accommodate as many types of guests as possible, park reservations for select dates may be made available on a rolling basis. Check for updated availability. Guests with DISNEYLAND® RESORT multi-day tickets must make a park reservation for each date of their visit. Guests with DISNEYLAND® RESORT PARK HOPPER® multi-day tickets must make a park reservation for the first theme park they wish to visit to begin their day; then they can cross over and switch between parks on the same day after 11:00 AM (subject to availability). After 11:00 AM, Guests with DISNEYLAND® RESORT PARK HOPPER® multi-day tickets who have a park reservation for both parks and who have not entered any park yet, may enter either park despite the first park that is designated in their park reservation. Guests should check for updated park operating hours and Park Hopper® hours, as they could change, depending on the day and park. At this time a park reservation is not required after the first park, however, reservation requirements are subject to change. The ability to visit the other park will be subject to that park’s capacity limitations, operational hours, closures and other restrictions, and is not guaranteed.
  • Each DISNEYLAND® RESORT PARK HOPPER® multi-day ticket, with applicable park reservation, is valid for admission for one Guest to both Disneyland® Park and Disney California Adventure® Park for the number of days listed on the ticket, including visits to both theme parks on the same day. Each DISNEYLAND® RESORT 1-PARK PER DAY multi-day ticket, with applicable park reservation, is valid for admission for one Guest to either Disneyland® Park or Disney California Adventure® Park for the number of days listed on the ticket, and is not valid for visits to both theme parks on the same day. Each day of use constitutes one full day of use. All non-promotional Disneyland® Resort multi-day theme park tickets expire 13 days after first use or January 12, 2025, whichever occurs first. The package, and all components of the package (including Disneyland® Resort admission tickets), are non-refundable 4 days or less prior to Guest arrival. Disneyland® Resort admission tickets may not be sold or transferred for a commercial purpose. Admission entitlements are non-transferable and must be used by the same person on any and all days. No refund or credit will be given for the non-use of any portion of a ticket’s entitlements. Admission to a park is subject to operational hours, closures and other restrictions, and a ticket does not guarantee park entry, even on dates when a ticket is not blocked out.
  • Parks, restaurants, attractions, entertainment, experiences, offerings, and other products, services or items are not guaranteed; may be modified, limited in capacity or availability; are subject to change, discontinuation or cancellation; and may close temporarily for any reason including, without limitation, due to rehabilitation, refurbishing, capacity, seasonal considerations, inclement weather, government or other authority guidance or order, pandemic-related restrictions, or special events, all without notice and without liability to the owners of the Disneyland® Resort. Ticket media is not valid for admission to special or premium events or other activities that are separately priced or not open to the general public. Other restrictions may apply. Age restrictions may apply for access to certain facilities.

Child seats are not provided by the transportation company. Children (including infants) are not allowed to sit on the lap of another passenger. All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Disney Genie+ Service

  • Non-transferable, and revocable, and may not be redeemed for cash in whole or in part.
  • Disney Genie+ attractions and experiences (collectively, “experiences”) and arrival windows are limited, and subject to availability and change, downtime, delay or closure without notice or liability, and entrance to an experience is not guaranteed. Experiences may vary by date, are subject to change, and may not be available at all on the date of visit or at the time you make a selection. Availability of experiences can change throughout the day. Disney reserves the right to modify, re-schedule, re-assign or cancel any experience selection in the event of a change in operating hours, experience downtime or closure, or park closure.
  • Guests are responsible for reviewing all attraction restrictions and advisories, including height requirements, health and safety advisories and accessibility guidelines, prior to purchase. Some experiences and attractions may not be appropriate for some guests with health conditions.
  • Wait times are estimates generated using a variety of factors. Wait time estimates can vary significantly from the wait time you may experience, and are subject to frequent changes within each day due to a variety of factors such as attendance, guest interest, weather, and attraction downtimes. Because Disney cannot guarantee the accuracy of these wait time estimates you should not rely on them when making purchase decisions.
  • Guests may make the first Disney Genie+ experience selection upon theme park entry on the date of visit and may only select the next available arrival window for an experience, one experience at a time. Guests may not select the same experience more than once per day, and experience and arrival window selections are limited and subject to availability. Disney PhotoPass Lenses and Disney PhotoPass service may be limited, and are subject to restrictions and the Disney PhotoPass Terms & Conditions and expiration policy (https://disneyland.disney.go.com/photopass-terms-conditions/).
  • A Disney account and eligible mobile device are required for day-of purchases of the Disney Genie+ service, and to make experience selections and to redeem other features on the day of visit in the English language only Disneyland app.
  • Valid admission and theme park reservation for the same park and same date are required for the day that the Disney Genie+ selections are redeemed. The Disney Genie+ entitlement is not valid for admission to any theme park.
  • The valid theme park admission associated with your Disney account and used to make your Disney Genie+ service purchase and experience selections must be the same theme park admission that you use for park entry on the day the experience selections are redeemed.
  • Each experience selection allows one (1) guest to enter the experience using the Lightning Lane entrance, or other Disney designated entrance, once on the date of redemption during regular park hours and during the selected arrival window only. Guests may not enter before or after the arrival window, and the experience selection expires at the end of the arrival window.
  • All Disney Genie+ entitlements expire at the end of the day for which they were purchased.
  • Other restrictions and rules may apply. Disney Genie+ entitlements and experience selections may not be transferred, substituted, or sold or bartered, and are voidable upon transfer or sale. Disney reserves the right to restrict or eliminate the ability to make purchases or experience selections without liability if these terms are violated.
  • Price, terms, features and entitlements are subject to restrictions, and change or cancellation without notice.
  • Products and services are intended for use in the U.S. only.

COVID-19 And Any Other Communicable Or Infectious Disease: Liability Waiver, Class-Action Waiver, Binding Arbitration, And Other Provisions

By purchasing an admission ticket(s) and/or by making a park, resort, and/or hotel reservation(s), and in consideration thereof, and in consideration for being able to visit and/or participate in attractions, transportation, and activities at the Disneyland® Resort, I agree, understand, and acknowledge, on my own behalf and on behalf of any individual who uses a ticket or reservation made by me, as follows (collectively, the “COVID-19 and Other Communicable/Infectious Disease Provision”):

  • Assumption Of Risk: I acknowledge that an inherent risk of exposure to the disease COVID-19 (as defined by the World Health Organization and any strains, variants, or mutations thereof) and SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that can cause COVID-19) (collectively, “COVID-19”), and any other communicable or infectious disease, exists in any public place where people are present. “Communicable disease” means any disease or illness caused by microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, parasites, or fungi that can be spread, directly or indirectly, from one person to another. “Infectious disease” means any disease or illness caused by microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, parasites, or fungi that enter the body, multiply, and can cause an infection. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious communicable disease that can lead to severe illness and death. No precautions can eliminate the risk of exposure to COVID-19, and the risk of exposure applies to everyone. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”), older adults (people 65 years and older) and people of any age who have underlying medical conditions might be at higher risk for severe illness and death from COVID-19. I acknowledge that the risk of exposure to COVID-19 and any other communicable or infectious disease includes the risk that I will expose others that I later encounter, even if I am not experiencing or displaying any symptoms of illness myself. By visiting and/or participating in attractions, transportation, and activities at the Disneyland® Resort, I agree to voluntarily assume any and all risks in any way related to exposure to COVID-19 and any other communicable or infectious disease, including illness, injury, or death of myself or others, and including without limitation, all risks based on the sole, joint, active or passive negligence of any of the Released Parties, named below. I acknowledge that my visit and participation are entirely voluntary.
  • Waiver: On my own behalf and on behalf of my heirs, executors, personal representatives, administrators, and assigns, I agree to forever waive, covenant not to sue, release, and discharge the Released Parties, named below, from any and all liability, claims, causes of action, damages, costs, or expenses of every kind, including all claims and causes of action based on the sole, joint, active or passive negligence of any of the Released Parties, arising out of or in any way relating to exposure to COVID-19 and any other communicable or infectious disease during my visit to and/or participation in attractions, transportation, and activities at the Disneyland® Resort. This waiver of liability and the assumption of risk set forth above is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by law.
  • Acknowledgment Of Assumption Of Risk And Waiver By Other Users: I attest, acknowledge, and agree that any individual for whom I have bought a ticket or made a reservation or who uses a ticket or reservation made by me has independently and carefully read this COVID-19 and Other Communicable/Infectious Disease Provision and has knowingly and independently acknowledged and agreed to all its provisions, including without limitation (1) to voluntarily assume any and all risks in any way related to exposure to COVID-19 and any other communicable or infectious disease, including illness, injury, or death of himself, herself, or others, and including without limitation, all risks based on the sole, joint, active or passive negligence of any of the Released Parties, named below, and (2) to agree, on his or her own behalf and on behalf of his or her heirs, executors, personal representatives, administrators, and assigns, to forever waive, covenant not to sue, release, and discharge the Released Parties, named below, from any and all liability, claims, causes of action, damages, costs, or expenses of every kind, including all claims and causes of action based on the sole, joint, active, or passive negligence of any of the Released Parties, arising out of or in any way relating to exposure to COVID-19 and any other communicable or infectious disease during his or her visit to and/or participation in attractions, transportation, and activities at the Disneyland® Resort.
  • Waiver On Behalf Of Minor Children: For any minor child for whom I have bought a ticket or made a reservation or who uses a ticket or reservation purchased and/or made by me, I agree and acknowledge that I am the minor child’s natural and/or otherwise legal guardian and I am authorized to and do waive and release, in advance, any of the following that would accrue to the minor child: any and all liability, claims, causes of action, damages, costs, or expenses of every kind, including all claims and causes of action based on the sole, joint, active or passive negligence of any of the Released Parties, arising out of or in any way relating to exposure to COVID-19 and any other communicable or infectious disease during the minor child’s visit to and/or participation in attractions, transportation, and activities at the Disneyland® Resort.
  • Third-Party Beneficiaries: I acknowledge and agree that any individual for whom I have bought a ticket or made a reservation or who uses a ticket or reservation made by me is and is intended to be a third-party beneficiary of that ticket or reservation made by me.
  • Waiver of California Civil Code § 1542: I acknowledge and agree that I am familiar with, understand, and do waive any rights and benefits of the provisions of Section 1542 of the California Civil Code, and any similar provisions of other jurisdictions, which provides that: A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party.
  • Indemnity/Insurance: On my own behalf and on behalf of my heirs, executors, personal representatives, administrators, and assigns, I agree to indemnify and hold each of the Released Parties harmless from and against any and all claims made or incurred by anyone, including myself and any individual who uses a ticket or reservation made by me, arising out of or in any way relating to my purchase of an admission ticket(s) and/or my making of a reservation(s), and subsequent visit to and/or participation in attractions, transportation, and activities at the Disneyland® Resort and arising out of any and all risks described above in the section titled Assumption of Risk or in any other way related to exposure to COVID-19 and any other communicable or infectious disease, wherever such activities may occur and whether suffered before, during, or after such participation. My indemnification obligations shall include, without limitation, all attorneys’ fees and costs incurred by any of the Released Parties through and including any appeals. I understand and agree that I am not relying on the Released Parties to have arranged for, or carry, any insurance of any kind for my benefit relative to my visit to and/or participation in attractions, transportation, and activities at the Disneyland® Resort, and that I am solely responsible for obtaining any mandatory or desired life, travel, accident, property, or other insurance related to my visit to and/or participation in attractions, transportation, and activities at the Disneyland® Resort, at my own expense.
  • Scope: I agree that the Waiver and Indemnity provided for in this COVID-19 and Other Communicable/Infectious Disease Provision shall cover all physical and emotional injuries and/or damages, including without limitation all illness and bodily injury (including death), whether suffered by me or anyone else before, during, or after my visit and/or participation. Additionally, I agree that the scope of the Waiver and Indemnity shall include any claims related, in whole or in part, to my own actions and the actions of third parties, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable.
  • Term: The Waiver and Indemnity provided for in this COVID-19 and Other Communicable/Infectious Disease Provision applies to any and all visitation to and/or participation in attractions, transportation, and activities at the Disneyland® Resort and/or presence on the Released Parties’ property arising out of the purchase of an admission ticket(s) and/or the making of a reservation(s) pursuant to which I and the Released Parties agreed to this COVID-19 and Other Communicable/Infectious Disease Provision, from the date on which I agreed to this COVID-19 and Other Communicable/Infectious Disease Provision.
  • Released Parties: The Released Parties are: Walt Disney Travel Co., LLC; Walt Disney Parks and Resorts U.S., Inc.; Disney Destinations, LLC; Disney Vacation Development, Inc.; Disney Vacation Club Management LLC; and their respective parents, subsidiary, and other affiliated or related companies, and all officers, directors, employees, shareholders, members, agents, contractors, sub-contractors, representatives, successors, assigns, insurers, and volunteers of each of the foregoing entities.
  • Severability/Partial Invalidity: If any provision or part thereof of this COVID-19 and Other Communicable/Infectious Disease Provision is held to be invalid, void, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision or part thereof shall be deemed modified to conform to applicable law, or if this would cause an illogical or unreasonable result, such provision or part thereof shall be stricken from this COVID-19 and Other Communicable/Infectious Disease Provision without affecting the binding force or effect of any other part or provision.

A. In the event of a dispute, I agree to send a notice of dispute, which is a written statement that sets forth my name, address, and contact information; the facts giving rise to the dispute; and the relief requested to the Released Parties at 500 South Buena Vista Street, Burbank, California 91521-7620, USA, Attention: Legal. The Released Parties will send any notice of dispute to me at the contact information that they have for me. The Released Parties and I will attempt to resolve a dispute through informal negotiation within sixty (60) days from the date the notice of dispute is sent. After that sixty (60) day period and not before, the Released Parties or I may commence an arbitration proceeding. I may instead litigate a dispute in small claims court if the dispute meets the requirements to be heard in small claims court, whether or not I negotiated informally first.

B. If the Released Parties and I do not resolve a dispute by informal negotiation or in small claims court, the dispute shall be resolved by binding arbitration before a neutral arbitrator whose decision will be final except for a limited right of appeal under the Federal Arbitration Act, 9 U.S.C. § 1 et seq. Arbitration will be administered by JAMS Mediation, Arbitration and ADR Services (“JAMS”) in accordance with the JAMS Streamlined Arbitration Rules and Procedures (the “JAMS Rules”). The JAMS Rules and instructions about how to initiate an arbitration are available at www.jamsadr.com or 1-800-352-5267. Arbitration may be conducted in person, through the submission of documents, by phone, or online. Proceedings that cannot be conducted through the submission of documents, by phone, or online, will take place in Orange County, California; provided, however, that if circumstances prevent me from traveling to Orange County, California, JAMS may hold an in-person hearing in my hometown area. The Released Parties and I agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the federal or state courts located in Orange County, California in order to compel arbitration, to stay proceedings pending arbitration, or to confirm, modify, vacate, or enter judgment on the award entered by the arbitrator. The arbitrator may award damages to me individually as a court could, including declaratory or injunctive relief, but only to the extent required to satisfy my individual claim. In accordance with the JAMS Rules, the party initiating the arbitration (either me or the Released Parties) is responsible for paying the filing fee. However, if the arbitrator issues me an award of damages and: (a) that award is greater than the amount of the Released Parties’ last written settlement offer; or (b) if the Released Parties did not make a settlement offer, then in addition to paying for any JAMS Case Management Fees and all professional fees for the arbitrator’s services, the Released Parties will reimburse me for the filing fees I incurred. Except as provided above with respect to jurisdiction in Orange County, California, nothing in this arbitration provision shall be construed as consent by the Released Parties to the jurisdiction of any other court with regard to disputes, claims, or controversies unrelated to this COVID-19 and Other Communicable/Infectious Disease Provision.

  • Venue But For Arbitration: In the event that neither party elects to resolve disputes under binding arbitration, as provided above, any legal action arising out of or relating to this COVID-19 and Other Communicable/Infectious Disease Provision shall be commenced exclusively in the Superior Court of California, County of Orange (or if such Superior Court shall not have jurisdiction over the subject matter thereof, then to such other court sitting in said county and having subject matter jurisdiction). In any such action, I specifically waive any right to bring a class action or other representative or collective action (such as an action in the form of a private attorney general).

Governing Law

  • These Terms and Conditions, including the COVID-19 and Other Communicable/Infectious Disease Provision, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.

4 Pros and Cons of Booking Disney Travel With Costco

From Disney gift cards to free parking and shop cards to be used at Costco, here are the perks that come with booking Disney vacations through Costco.

A Disney vacation can be a truly memorable experience for your children, but it's certainly not one of the most budget-friendly family adventures you'll ever embark on. Thankfully, there are ways to make this type of vacation slightly more affordable (or at least more value-oriented.)

Among the options is booking your family's Disney vacation through Costco Travel, a division of the big-box wholesale store. Costco Travel Assistant Vice President Chris Hendrix tells Parents that the company aims to offer convenient, one-stop shopping for all Disney travel needs.

To that end, Costco Travel offers vacation packages to Walt Disney World and Disneyland that include both hotels and tickets. Costco Travel also arranges packages to Disney's luxe Aulani Resort in Hawaii, as well as guided vacations with Adventures by Disney, and getaways with Disney Cruise Line.

Those who have gone the Costco route before likely already know there are a variety of perks for Costco members who book their Disney travel through the wholesale club—including receiving special savings on various incidental costs associated with a Disney visit as well as a few special value-added features thrown in by the discount giant.

"Booking a Disney vacation package through Costco can come with some great benefits including breakfast, resort credits, upgrades, and waived resort fees depending on the hotel you chose," says Chris Hassan, a family travel writer for UpgradedPoints. "This can represent huge savings for a family over the course of a week."

However, there are some considerations you should make before booking. Here are the pros and cons of booking a Disney vacation with Costco.

4 Pros of a Disney Vacation with Costco

1. you can score free disney gift cards.

One of the most frequently cited perks associated with booking Disneyland Resort packages through Costco are the gift cards that Costco throws in as a special added benefit for members.

Here's how it works, according to Costco: Members who book a multi-day vacation package at a Disneyland onsite resort receive a Disney gift card for up to $245 (one per package—exact value depends on the length of vacation booked). The gift card can be used to pay for Disney shopping and dining, including the wildly popular character dining. This perk even extends to those who book stays at some offsite hotels, or "Good Neighbor" hotels, as Costco calls them. Members who book a multi-day package at a Good Neighbor hotel receive a $145 Disney gift card .

"The Disney gift cards with Costco packages are a great way of helping you splurge on your trip, allowing you to do something you wouldn't normally want to budget for. Perhaps that means buying a special souvenir or maybe giving you the chance to book a character meal," Kimberly Tate, founder of Stuffed Suitcase and also the Vacation Mavens podcast, tells Parents.

Costco members can also receive extra savings at select Downtown Disney District dining and shopping locations, says Hendrix.

2. Other trips = Disney shop cards

Slightly different than the gift cards, Costco provides shop cards to those who book vacations through Costco Travel for Aulani, Disney Cruise Line, and Adventures by Disney. The exact amount of the card varies based upon the trip booked and the length of stay (or sailing). The value of the shop card is calculated during the booking process, Michelle Rupp, a buyer for Costco Travel tells Parents.

"The card is sent to the Costco members about 2 to 4 weeks after they return from their vacation or cruise and may be used toward merchandise or gas at any Costco warehouse throughout the United States or Canada," says Rupp.

3. Enjoy complimentary parking

All of Costco's Walt Disney World Resort on-site packages include complimentary parking at all Walt Disney World theme parks and at Disney Springs.

"We have also negotiated with some of the off-site hotels to include in our packages complimentary parking at the hotel," says Rupp. Examples on this front include Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace, Melia Orlando Celebration, and Sheraton Vistana Resort Villas, to name a few.

" This can save you money if you're planning to drive to the parks instead of using the resort transportation," says Tate.

4. Nab discounts by bundling

For both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World, packages booked through Costco include both hotel accommodations and park tickets. Combining these items together provides booking convenience for travelers and additional savings, says Costco's Rupp.

"Regardless of the type of [park entrance] ticket included in the package, Costco members receive extra savings on the bundled package…The longer the admission days of the tickets (up to 10 days), the deeper the discount," explains Rupp.

4 Cons to Consider

Summer Hull, editorial director for The Points Guy, says booking Disney vacations through Costco Travel can definitely be cheaper than booking elsewhere, but there are limitations to who might benefit. Here are some potential drawbacks to consider.

1. Short trips may not benefit

"I've seen Disney vacations booked through Costco Travel be as much as $1,000 cheaper— even for a medium-priced fam vacation to Disney, " Hull tells Parents. "The catch is you can only book stays three days or longer with them. So, if you're going for just a weekend, it doesn't work."

2. You may lose some direct Disney access

Hull says that booking a Disney vacation through a third party can sometimes complicate life when there's a problem or issue that needs to be addressed.

"Sometimes Disney is not able to help as much when you're adding a third-party player to that equation," continues Hull, who says that if she's not booking a vacation directly with Disney, she generally opts for a vacation planner that specializes in Disney such as Mouse Counselors .

Disney vacation planners will do everything from getting you dining reservations to waking up early to book Disney fast passes for you—so that you can simply relax and enjoy your getaway. The beauty of this type of service is that it doesn't cost you a dime. Planners work on commission and are not paid by the person booking the vacation.

"They eliminate a lot of hassle," explains Hull. "There are a million of these planners out there, and typically none of them add any additional cost. They wake up early and handle all of those annoying things you don't want to deal with. And if my plans change for some reason, they will be the ones on hold with Disney, not me."

Still, adds Hull, for someone who's simply chasing the cheapest option for a Disney visit and who is also visiting (or sailing) for at least three days, Costco can certainly be worth it.

3. There could be airline limitations

One last drawback to consider is that Costco does not work with every airline, so if you prefer to fly certain carriers (such as JetBlue or Spirit), you may be out of luck, says Hassan, of UpgradedPoints. And, as always, when booking through a travel agency, you won't earn any points or elite nights for your hotel stays.

The bottom line? If you plan to make the most of all the perks offered by Costco, it can definitely be a solid option for busy families who are seeking to save money.

"Just be sure to look at the included benefits carefully—and make sure that you will be able to use them," says Hassan.

4. You need to be a Costco member

Last, but not least, you will need a Costco membership in order to book any sort of travel through Costo. A basic membership is $60/year, while an executive membership is $120. Once you're a Costco member, however, you can use your membership to shop both in-store and online and even earn rewards points on booked travel if you get a Costco card too.

spookymickey said: Hey there, I just checked the Costco site to see. You can book reservations in January for the resorts that they currently have up on Costco Travel, but I'm not sure if they will be brining back that promo for park passes anytime soon. My guess would be once the current promo ends beginning of September, then something could possibly show up. So all they add on now is 3 day Park to Park, with you're choice to change that up on days, 2 or 3 parks, and Base or Park to Park. Hope that helps a little. Click to expand...

I'm on the US one and it won't let me booked out past 12/31/2023. I can do it pretty much anywhere else except Costco.

So weird!! It's almost October!

That's odd, I just checked and it worked for me. I did the 3 day ticket get 2 free at Cabana Bay just to check in Feb. and gave me a package. I was logged into my Costco travel account too.

I just looked on the Canadian site and am only seeing offers valid for travel through November this year, although it said February on the screen before???

Ok, went through and took a few screen shots to show it was working for me. This time I used PBR. So you can see the dates above and the total cost.

There are Good Perks by Booking a Disney Package Through Costco

Spaceship Earth

Costco Travel, a subsidiary of Costco Wholesale, is a very popular way to book vacation packages to many travel destinations, including Walt Disney World.

Through Costco, members are able to purchase Disney resort and theme park ticket packages. This resort and theme park ticket package bundled together is what makes the vacation more cost effective than purchasing them separately through the Walt Disney World website. Here are some of the benefits of booking a Disney World vacation package through Costco:

  • Exclusive packages at Disney resorts and Good Neighbor hotels
  • Disney World packages may include perks like Kids Eat Free, Park Hoper Tickets, resort credits, and waived resort fees
  • Disney World packages include complimentary parking at all Walt Disney World theme parks
  • Disney World packages are tax-inclusive
  • Costco Executive Members earn 2% rewards annually, and Citi Costco Anywhere Visa Card members earn 3% rewards on Costco Travel

Before looking at the drawbacks of booking through Costco, let’s check out the list of current Disney World vacation packages by Costco.

Drawbacks of Buying Disney World Tickets Through Costco

Coronado Springs Destino Tower

From this list alone, the perks of buying a Disney World package through Costco seem really appealing.

Remember though: there are always 2 sides of the story. When planning to spend a lot of your hard-earned cash on a Disney vacation, it’s important to know exactly what you’re getting yourself into. The last thing you want is to find out that the deal you’re getting is because you’re missing out on other important perks!

Let’s go over the drawbacks of booking a Disney World package through Costco.

A Costco Membership is Required to Purchase a Disney World Package

This may sound like a no-brainer, but it’s worth noting because a Costco membership isn’t free.

In order to join Costco, a basic membership costs $60 and an executive membership costs $120. While the membership fee may seem like a lot, it can still be worth the savings you’ll make when purchasing anything at Costco.

If the savings you’ll make on items and vacation packages at Costco outweighs the cost of a membership, purchasing through Costco may be right for you!

Be Aware of the Restrictions on Costco Disney World Packages

With the money you’ll save on a Disney vacation package, you must be aware of the restrictions on your package.

The first restriction is the requirement to stay a minimum number of nights. Specifically when booking a Disney World vacation package, members must stay a minimum of 3 nights at the resort of their choice. In other words, if you’re planning on staying less than 3 nights or want to stay at 1 resort for 2 nights and another resort for 2 nights, you’ll have to book with a Disney travel agent (like Get Away Today ) or directly through the Walt Disney World website .

The second restriction is that Disney World vacation packages change frequently and promotions are usually for a specified number of days. In general, Disney World vacation packages include theme park tickets for 5 days. In other words, if you plan on going to the theme parks for less or more than 5 days (or no days at all), you’ll have to book with a Disney travel agent (like Get Away Today ) or directly through the Walt Disney World website .

One final restriction is that Disney World vacation packages are capped at 8 guests. In other words, parties of 9 or more guests will require additional vacation packages.

The lack of flexibility with restrictions on Disney World vacation packages may leave guests uncomfortable with booking through Costco Travel.

Disney World Packages Booked Through Costco Require a Higher Deposit

While you can save money on a Disney World vacation package, you are required to pay more upfront.

When booking a Disney World vacation package through Costco Travel, members must pay for their Disney theme park tickets in full as well as a $100 deposit per person at the time of booking. Compare this to booking through a seasoned Disney travel agent or directly through the Walt Disney World website in which you’re required to pay a $200 deposit regardless of your party size.

The flexibility of booking through a Disney travel agent or directly through Disney is a major perk for many guests.

Buying Through Costco: Is it Worth it?

Polynesian Resort

The upfront and honest answer to this question is, “the drawbacks of booking through Costco outweigh the benefits.”

Although the entire Disney vacation package saves you money, there are too many restrictions that can make purchasing through Costco a potential headache. Additionally, the lack of flexibility with payments may turn guests away from Costco Travel. And finally, you’re likely to get a better overall deal elsewhere.

On the other hand, purchasing a Disney World vacation package through a Disney travel agent like G et Away Today , gives guests all the benefits with virtually no drawbacks.

Perks to Buying Disney World Tickets Through Get Away Today

Disney World Fireworks

Get Away Today has worked with Disney for over 30 years, making them a well-regarded and trusted reseller of Disney World tickets.

With that track record, it’s hard to give reasons not to work with them. Between their discounts, concierge-level service, and exclusive perks, they’ll help you make the most of your Disney World vacation.

Let’s go over the the biggest perks of purchasing through Get Away Today.

Discount Disney World Tickets Through Get Away Today are Refundable

Not only does Get Away Today offer some of the best discounted tickets anywhere, they also only sell refundable Disney World tickets.

Additionally, Get Away Today price matches packages and apply applicable discounts if they become available after the time of booking. They also offer special pricing throughout the year on already discounted tickets.

Considering that these special priced tickets are good for any day of the year, it’s hard to pass this offer up!

Get Away Today’s Layaway Plan Gives You Flexibility

The payment plan offered by Get Away Today is hard to pass up.

Through Get Away Today , you’d need to only put down $20. Thereafter, you can make interest free payments up until 8 days before your trip. Especially for families that spent so much time saving money for their trip, this layaway plan allows them to reserve the resort of their choice far in advance without having to pay upfront.

This payment flexibility comes in very handy!

Get Away Today Keeps Your Mind at Ease with its Protection Plan

The Peace of Mind protection plan covers any changes (except airfare) made up to 72hrs before your check-in date.

In other words, you’re able to make hotel changes, date changes, and ticket voucher changes as needed. This comes in handy especially when planning far in advance! Did I forget to mention that this plan only costs $99?

The Peace of Mind protection plan gives you a lot of flexibility without any penalty.

Get Away Today’s Customer Service is Unmatched

If you left all the planning to one of the wonderful travel agents at Get Away Today, you’d have nothing to lose and all the magic to gain.

After filling out a request form for a travel agent to help you, any one of the travel agents at Get Away Today that know the ins and outs of Disney vacation planning can handle all of the confusing and intricate aspects of your vacation. Not only that – they are on-call to help if you need them and are qualified to give great advice on hotels, travel (such as the cheapest month to go to Disney), and other small details of your trip.

If you were to book your Disney World vacation package through Costco, you’ll be mostly on your own. You’ll need to link your reservation to the My Disney Experience app and then manage your Disney payments, dining reservations, add-ons, and more – all on your own.

Get Away Today Perks at Good Neighbor Hotels

Get Away Today doesn’t just partner with Disney World resort hotels!

They also partner with Good Neighbor hotels in the Walt Disney World area to offer discounts and other exclusive perks to Get Away Today customers. Also, since Get Away Today has built up a close relationship with these hotels, they’re more than likely to accommodate specific room requests for Get Away Today customers.

In the end, it’s hard to pass up all the benefits of working with Get Away Today for your next Disney World vacation!

Depending on the time of year, it may be cheaper to get Disney tickets at Costco. However, more often than not, it’s much cheaper to get Disney tickets through a travel agency such as Get Away Today .

Costco Disney packages do include park tickets, specifically for 5 days. Unfortunately, Costco members booking through Costco Travel don’t have much flexibility in booking shorter or longer theme park stays.

It is indeed cheaper to book Disney as a package, specifically combining a Disney resort stay with Disney theme park tickets. Additionally, the longer your stay is, the lower the cost per night tends to be.

The cheapest month to go to Disney World tends to be January through mid-February. This also tends to coincide with the least busy time of the year at Disney World. This is because January through mid-February comes right after the holiday season and right before the next federal holiday, Presidents Day.

Your Guide to Disney World Tickets at Costco

disney world tickets at costco

Can you buy Disney World tickets at Costco? – Costco does not sell individual Walt Disney World tickets. Instead, you can only purchase Disney World tickets at Costco as part of a vacation package, which also includes hotel accommodations.

This means that to take advantage of Costco’s Disney World offers, you’ll need to book both your park tickets and hotel stay through the Costco Travel platform.

Costco and Disney World have joined forces to provide Costco members with exclusive vacation packages that combine the best of both worlds.

By offering accommodations, park tickets, and additional perks as part of a bundle, these vacation packages are designed to give families and travelers a seamless and enjoyable Disney World experience at a competitive price.

This partnership ensures that guests can create lasting memories at Disney World while enjoying the benefits of Costco’s reputation for value and convenience.

( The Ultimate Guide to Disney World Tickets )

Introduction to Disney World Tickets at Costco

Basically, Disney World tickets at Costco can only be purchased through vacation packages.

A magical vacation awaits you with Costco’s Disney World vacation packages!

With a wave of a wand, here’s what you can expect:

Whether you’re looking for a cozy stay in a value resort or a royal retreat in a deluxe resort, there’s a perfect match for every prince and princess.

Park tickets

No need for a fairy godmother to grant you access to the kingdom; your package includes tickets to Disney’s world-famous theme parks.

Explore the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom, and let the adventure begin!

Additional perks and benefits

Your vacation package may come with some extra pixie dust, like Park Hopper tickets (so you can hop from one park to another in a single day), resort credits, Kids Eat Free options, or waived resort fees.

Who says you need a magic lamp to get a little extra magic?

How to book a vacation package through Costco Travel

Ready to embark on your magical journey?

Here’s how to book your dream Disney World vacation with Costco Travel:

Online booking process

Grab a mouse (the electronic kind, not Mickey) and head over to the Costco Travel website.

Browse through the available vacation packages, and let your inner child take the lead in choosing the perfect option for your family. Just remember, the wand chooses the wizard, and the vacation package chooses the traveler!

Customizing the package based on preferences and budget

Your Disney World experience should be as unique as Cinderella’s glass slipper.

When you Costco Travel, you can customize your vacation package to include the number of park days, Park Hopper options, dining plans, and more. Whether you’re looking to splurge on a royal banquet or save your gold coins for souvenirs, there’s a package that’ll fit your budget like a glove.

And if you need a little help deciding, don’t worry – the helpful Costco Travel agents are like fairy godmothers, ready to make your Disney dreams come true!

Managing Your Disney World Experience with Costco Travel

Creating a disney profile.

Once you’ve booked your spellbinding vacation, it’s time to add a touch of magic to your planning process!

  • Importance of linking Resort Room and Ticket Reservations : Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo! Creating a Disney profile at www.StartYourDisneyExperience.com will help you keep track of all your enchanting plans. Linking your Resort Room and Ticket Reservations using the Walt Disney World Ticket confirmation number from your Costco Travel documents is essential. This ensures that your Disney adventure is as smooth as a magic carpet ride, with all your reservations and experiences in one convenient place.
  • Managing Park reservations and other experiences : Your Disney profile is like a magical map guiding you through the realm of Disney World. It allows you to make Park reservations (a must for entering the parks), book dining experiences, and even reserve spots for popular attractions using Disney Genie+. Make the most of your Disney profile to create a tailor-made adventure that would impress even Tinker Bell.

Additional benefits of purchasing a Costco Travel package

As if a Costco Travel Disney World package wasn’t already a treasure trove of pixie dust, there are even more benefits to make your journey truly enchanting:

Complimentary parking at Disney parks and Disney Springs

Forget searching for a parking spot like it’s a hidden treasure; with a Costco Travel package, you’ll enjoy complimentary parking at all Walt Disney World theme parks and Disney Springs.

It’s like having your very own magic carpet, ready to whisk you away to your next adventure.

Tax-inclusive pricing

Say “Hakuna Matata” to calculating taxes!

Costco Disney World packages come with tax-inclusive pricing, so there are no surprise fees when you check out. You can focus on enjoying your magical vacation without worrying about pesky tax math.

Occasional In-Store Disney World Ticket Offers

While most Disney World tickets at Costco come as part of their magical vacation packages, every once in a blue moon, a fairy might sprinkle some extra pixie dust on the aisles of your local Costco warehouse.

In these rare instances, non-vacation package Disney World tickets might become available at Costco stores, giving you the chance to grab a golden ticket without having to book an entire vacation package.

The rarity and unannounced nature of these offers

Much like a surprise visit from your Fairy Godmother, these in-store Disney World ticket offers are quite rare and often unannounced.

They’re like hidden Mickeys, popping up when you least expect them!

Because of their elusive nature, it can be difficult to rely on these offers for your Disney World vacation planning.

So, if you’re hoping to score a magical Disney World ticket deal without booking a vacation package, you might need a sprinkle of luck and perfect timing.

However, for a more reliable and enchanting experience, booking a vacation package through Costco Travel will ensure you get the royal treatment you deserve on your Disney World adventure!

Disney World tickets at Costco compared with other discount ticket options

In the realm of Disney World ticket deals, there are other magical creatures besides Costco Travel offering discounts and special offers.

Let’s take a peek into their enchanted forests and see how they compare.

Undercover Tourist

Undercover Tourist is like a stealthy ninja in the world of theme park discounts.

They offer discounted Disney World tickets that are sometimes even more generous than AAA offerings, and they’re available to everyone. A trusted partner of Disney, Undercover Tourist is known for making ticket deals appear like magic for both members and non-members alike.

AAA is another enchanted creature in the Disney World ticket discount realm .

As a member-based organization, AAA offers exclusive discounts on Disney World tickets for its members.

However, these discounts can vary, so it’s always a good idea to check with your local AAA branch for the most up-to-date offers.

Pros and cons of purchasing Disney World tickets at Costco vs. other discount providers

Costco Travel :

  • Exclusive vacation packages tailored for Costco members.
  • Bundled accommodations, park tickets, and additional perks for a seamless experience.
  • Complimentary parking at Disney parks and Disney Springs.
  • Tax-inclusive pricing.
  • Individual Disney World tickets are not available for purchase; only vacation packages are offered.
  • Rare and unannounced in-store ticket offers may not be reliable for vacation planning.

Undercover Tourist and AAA :

  • Offer individual Disney World tickets without the need for a vacation package.
  • Undercover Tourist discounts are available to everyone, not just members.
  • AAA offers exclusive member discounts on Disney World tickets.
  • May not provide the same bundled vacation package experience as Costco Travel.
  • Discounts can vary, so it’s essential to check for the most up-to-date offers.

Choosing the best discount ticket option for your Disney World adventure depends on your personal preferences and needs.

If you’re a Costco member looking for a complete vacation package with added benefits, Costco Travel might be your fairy tale come true.

On the other hand, if you’re seeking individual ticket discounts without the commitment of a full vacation package, Undercover Tourist and AAA might be your magical key to the kingdom.

7 Unnecessary Luxuries You Should Stop Paying For in 2024 — And Disney Is One of Them

A ccording to Bain and Company , consumers of luxury goods finally slowed down their spending on luxury items, as revenues only increased about 4% to $387 billion in 2023 . There are different ways to define a luxury good, depending on your financial situation, but there are some unnecessary items that you may want to think about cutting from your budget in 2024.

Be Aware: 8 Ways To Make $200 (or More) a Day Working From Home

Explore More: 5 Unusual Ways To Make Extra Money (That Actually Work)

What are seven unnecessary luxuries you should stop paying for in 2024 ?

1. Daily Coffee

Your daily coffee consumption could cost you more than you realize when you tally up how much you’ve spent on your morning fix.

“It’s great to treat yourself to a coffee and a pastry once in a while, but when it becomes a sort of reflexive habit, it’s often unnecessary, said Erika Kullberg, personal finance expert, attorney, and founder of Erika.com .

While daily coffee spending may be a normal part of your routine, you could save money and improve your financial situation by making your own and avoiding the temptations that come with entering a local cafe.

“Bring some coffee from home and avoid the temptation to spend extra on sugary food items you don’t need anyway,” Kulberg said.

2. Gym Membership

“There’s really no need to get tied into a 12-month contract with your gym, even if you do go there enough to justify the cost,” Kullberg said. “That’s because there are tons of options out there for free workout classes online.”

You can save money by cutting out that gym membership since many free options exist or you could invest upfront in purchasing training equipment for your home. You also want to be realistic about how often you’ll use the membership and any of the

3. Lavish Brands

One unnecessary luxury that can eat into your savings is spending money on brand-name items when cheaper options exist.

“The biggest unnecessary luxury that people should stop buying is lavish brands,” noted Anthony DeLuca, a CFP and an expert contributor for Annuity.org . “The reality is that you’re buying a status more than buying a quality product.”

Some examples include:

  • Athletic clothing brands like Lululemon that charge more.
  • Purchase a Pelaton machine setup instead of a traditional bicycle.
  • Brand-name watches or handbags that don’t offer any additional value.
  • Nike shoes or other brands that charge a premium for their products.

You’ll want to assess your spending to ensure you’re not spending money on lavish brands when you don’t have to.

4. Eating Out Too Frequently

Most financial experts agree that dining out frequently is unnecessary, as American consumers struggle with inflated food prices. With take-out food prices shooting up over 25% since the pandemic, dining out is a luxury that most people should consider cutting out . This expense becomes a larger burden if you have a family or if you rely on take-out food for most of your meals.

“To indulge now and then is encouraged, but to make this a lifestyle is detrimental,” DeLuca said. “Eating at local places and avoiding fancy chains is a first step.”

You can also take up cooking as a hobby as it would allow you to save money and improve your options so you don’t get bored.

5. Expensive Vehicles

Purchasing an expensive vehicle or upgrading your car too often is a luxury that should be cut from your budget in 2024. You also have to factor in that an expensive vehicle can come with higher insurance rates and increased maintenance costs.

“For many, cars have become a status symbol and an object of pride,” said Ganesh Pandit , professor and chair of Adelphi University’s Department of Accounting and Law. “However, if you can’t purchase a certain car without borrowing money, it’s a luxury for you that can wait.”

6. Constantly Buying The Latest Gadgets

“Upgrading technology-based gadgets, even if the current version is working fine and serving its purpose, is an unnecessary luxury,” Pandit said.

Large tech companies frequently introduce new versions of phones, watches, tables, and other devices to maximize profits. If your current gadget still serves its purpose, there’s no need to spend money on upgrading it. The newer version will often have marginal improvements in features that aren’t worth the price tag.

7. Expensive Vacations/Disney Trips

One luxury you want to reconsider in 2024 is expensive vacations and family trips to destinations like Disney World. According to a survey by Allianz Partners , a travel insurance company, the average American household plans to spend $2,843 on their summer vacation this year.

“Any vacation that involves taking on a debt, whether credit card debt or personal loan, is a luxury that should be avoided at the current interest rates,” Pandit said. “Even though a vacation creates long-lasting memories for some people, it should never leave a trail of expensive debt installments.”

According to Mouse Hacking, a baseline Disney World vacation for a family of four over five nights is around $6,865. [ x ] If you’re looking for an upgraded version of this same trip, it would cost the same $10,696. This luxury comes with a steep price tag when you factor in the expenses including flights, hotels, food, park entry and various upgrades.

Other luxuries at Disney that you want to avoid are expensive upgrades like a $275 per person Backstage Magic pass or up to $950 an hour for a private VIP tour. You’ll also want to think twice about spending money on other Disney products , like a $55 top or a backpack that can cost up to $100.

5 ways to save on Disney trips with Costco

I might go into a Costco store 1-2 times per year to shop, but the main reason I have a Costco membership is for the travel perks.

Here are 5 ways to save on a Disney World trip with your Costco membership.

In this article

Discounted gift cards

Costco offers a variety of gift cards at a discount, including ones you can use for your trip.

That includes:

  • Southwest Airlines
  • Landry’s Restaurants (including Yak & Yeti, Rainforest Cafe at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs, and T-REX)

In addition, some promos will give you Disney or Costco gift cards when booking your trip through Costco.

Best rates on car rentals

This is how we book 100% of our car rentals because the rates are so competitive.

In addition, a second driver can be added at no cost when booking a rental through Costco.

Offsite hotels

There are usually several offsite hotel packages available (that include tickets!) to book through Costco, many of which include waiving the daily resort fee, free parking, and providing room upgrades.

The options include many of our favorite offsite hotels, some of which get onsite benefits .

Disney World packages

Your ability to save on Disney World packages will depend on what their current offers are.

However, there are pros and cons to booking packages through Costco.

Pros to booking a Disney World package through Costco

  • Might be able to save money if there’s a current promo, but you’ll always want to compare to make sure it’s better than what you can get elsewhere

Cons to booking a Disney World package through Costco

  • Won’t work for shorter trips since they usually require at least a 5 night stay
  • Deposit required at booking is usually higher than when booking through Disney
  • The cancellation policy is more rigid than when booking through Disney
  • Working through a third party vs. Disney could cause issues if you need to talk to anybody about your reservation

Travel Insurance

Costco Travel offers travel insurance through Zurich.

You don’t have to book your travel through Costco to be able to buy travel insurance, but it is less expensive to purchase if you book your travel through Costco.

costco travel disneyland 2024

Many times the insurance they provide is at a better price and/or has better coverage than other policies do, but always compare to be sure.

We recommend InsureMyTrip.com (affiliate link) for having a wide selection of policies to compare.

Other things to know

Although the 5 things above are ways to save, there are some other things worth mentioning.

No discounted Disney World tickets available

Although they used to sell discounted park tickets, they no longer have those. The only way to get park tickets through Costco is by booking a package that includes them.

Flights have sometimes been available

Sometimes Costco will offer packages that include flights which is really convenient to get everything in one purchase, but be sure to compare the package price to booking all of the elements individually on your own.

Other types of Disney trips save even more

Although we’ve focused on ways to save on Disney World trips here, there’s even more savings for other kinds of Disney trip, including:

  • Disneyland offers usually include getting hundreds of dollars in Disney gift cards which would be fun to cover some other costs during your trip (like food!)
  • Adventures by Disney promos usually include getting up to $2000 in Costco gift cards back after booking
  • Disney Cruise Line offers include getting a digital Costco gift card

Any other ideas for ways to save using a Costco membership? Would love to add to the list!

Just want to say, those offsite hotel savings are for real. Been there, done that, and it makes the trip so much more affordable. Plus, the kids don't care, they're just excited to see Mickey!

T. J. Reynolds

So about the offsite hotels part does it really save that much compared to staying inside the park And how hard is it to get to the parks everyday

Kara Lindstrom

Staying offsite can definitely save money, and many hotels offer shuttle services to the parks. It's a bit more hassle but can be worth the savings!

Best rates on car rentals, huh? Every time I book a car, it feels like a new fee pops up that wasn't in the initial quote. Got to read the fine print folks.

Ellie-May Clarkson

love finding out about discounted gift cards they're like hidden treasures lol Shannon Albert did a good job highlighting this have saved a bunch using them before

Lucas Meyer

The segment on travel insurance was interesting. It's one of those things you don't think about until you need it. Always important to read what's actually covered.
