John Fogerty has extended his Celebration Tour with a new round of summer dates. The former Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman will be setting out on a run of shows that will take his traveling ensemble across the United States and to European festival stages from June 2 to Sept. 11, accompanied by George Thorogood & the Destroyers and Hearty Har.
This announcement comes a year after Fogerty acquired the rights to his catalog of Creedence songs in Jan. 2023; soon after, Fogerty launched his Celebration Tour on April 27. Fogerty will be joined this summer by blues rocker and longtime friend George Thorogood and his band the Destroyers, who set out on a 50 Years of Rock Tour in 2023. In addition, Hearty Har, founded by Fogerty’s sons Shane and Tyler, will open every show with a set of their own before supporting their father’s headlining performance as the backing band.
Fogerty will kick off this year’s rendition of the Celebration Tour with a June 2 performance at CCNB Amphitheatre at Heritage Park in Simpsonville, S.C. Next, Fogerty and his crew will weave their way north, stopping in Charleston, S.C., Raleigh, N.C., Camden, N.J. and Scranton, Pa. for a series of dates ending on June 8. The ensemble will then make a stop at Bristow, Va.’s Jiffy Lube Live on June 9 before heading to the Empire State for a three-night run that will close out on June 14 at the Bethel Wood Center for the Arts in Bethel, N.Y. After playing the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, N.J. on June 15, the bands will hike to New England for three shows, ending on June 20 at the outdoor Tanglewood Music Center in Lenox, Mass.
Next, the Celebration Tour will head to Europe for a weeklong festival run. Fogerty and friends will hit the Netherlands’ Bospop Festival on July 12, Belgium’s Rock Zottegem 2024 on July 13, Italy’s Lucca Summer Festival on July 16 and finally France’s Guitar en Scène on July 18. Fogerty will conclude the 2024 run of his Celebration Tour with two appearances without Thorogood, first at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colo. on Aug. 26, then with a summer sendoff on Sept. 11 at the Utah State Fair in Salt Lake City.
Presale tickets for Fogerty’s Celebration Tour will be available on Tuesday, March 12 at 10 a.m. local time. A general sale will open on Friday, March 15 at 10 a.m. local time. For additional ticketing information, visit johnfogerty.com .

John Fogerty: The Celebration Tour
John Fogerty is a true American treasure. As the leader of Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR), Fogerty forged a distinctive, groundbreaking sound all his own, equal parts blues, country, pop, rockabilly, R&B, swamp boogie, and Southern fried rock ‘n’ roll, all united by his uniquely evocative lyrical perspective. Fogerty is a Grammy winner and has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as well as the Songwriters Hall of Fame. He is the only musician to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame for his song, “Centerfield,” a staple at baseball stadiums across the country. Among Fogerty’s many hit songs, which have sold over 100 million records, both as a solo artist and as leader of CCR, highlights include “Proud Mary,” “Susie Q,” “Fortunate son,” “Born on the Bayou,” “Bad Moon Rising,” and “Have You Ever Seen the Rain,” among many others.
In 2019, Fogerty celebrated 50 years in music with a worldwide tour with his show, “My 50 Year Trip.” An album, 50 Year Trip: Live at Red Rocks, featuring a collection of Creedence Clearwater Revival hits, including from the set list of his performance at the legendary Woodstock music festival in 1969 among other fan favourites, was released on November 8, 2019.
In April 2020, while self-quarantining together the Fogerty Family – featuring John with his sons Shane, Tyler, and daughter Kelsy – gathered in their home studio to play some music together. A weekly video series began and became so popular that a digital EP, Fogerty’s Factory, was released via BMG on Fogerty’s birthday, May 28, 2020. An extended Fogerty’s Factory full album was released on November 20, 2020. In December of that year, Creedence Clearwater Revival’s Chronicle Vol. 1 hit the milestone of charting for more than 500 weeks on the Billboard 200, becoming only the eighth album to ever do so. In early January 2021, Fogerty released his first new original solo music in eight years, “Weeping in The Promised Land.” The song is Fogerty’s definitive look back at 2020, ultimately serving as a moving tribute to those who had been affected by the pandemic, as well as those who have suffered through prejudice and injustice, with an eye on brighter days ahead.
Fogerty recently partnered with Concord on the official release of Creedence Clearwater Revival At The Royal Albert Hall on the label’s Craft Recordings. More than 50 years after the legendary 1970 show, the original multitrack tapes were meticulously restored and mixed by GRAMMY®-winning producer Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell. The accompanying documentary takes viewers from CCR’s earliest years together in ElCerrito, CA through their meteoric rise to fame, and is the only concert footage of the original CCR lineup to be released in its entirety.

As John Fogerty prepares for his upcoming 2024 Celebration Tour with George Thorogood & the Destroyers, the ex- Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman apparently is dusting off some deep cuts for the trek. Fogerty has taken to his social media pages to post a video of him rehearsing for the trek as he plays a rendition of “I Will Walk with You,” a song from his 2004 solo album, Deja Vu All Over Again .

The clip captures the 78-year-old Rock & Roll Hall of Famer doing some fancy finger-picking and singing a bit of the country-influenced tune as a furry faithful friend looks on.

The video is accompanied by a message that reads, “‘I Will Walk With You’ from rehearsals for the upcoming Celebration Tour (with a special guest — our dog, Creedence) … Come catch it live this summer on the road with [George Thorogood] and [Hearty Har]!” Hearty Har is a group led by Fogerty’s sons Tyler and Shane, who both also play in his touring band.
Fans React to Fogerty’s Rehearsal Video
The clip inspired a bunch of his fans to post reactions in the comments section of his Instagram page.
“The genius, rock hero!! John Fogerty, you rule!! My respect and admiration!!” one fan wrote, which prompted Fogerty to respond, “Hey, thanks!”
A second fan commented, “Omg yes! Please play more solo era songs.”
A third posted, “Wnderful song … and the luckiest dog … we will go to Berlin to watch the show this summer.”

Fogerty also recently posted a clip of him rehearsing another solo deep cut , “Change in the Weather,” which appeared on his 1986 album, Eye of the Zombie.
According to Setlist.fm, the last time Fogerty played “I Will Walk with You” in concert was in 2012. He hasn’t performed “Change in the Weather” live since 2009.
About Fogerty’s 2024 Tour Plans
As previously reported, Fogerty will launch a U.S. leg of Celebration Tour, featuring George Thorogood and the Destroyers as his support act, on June 2 in Simpsonville, South Carolina. The trek, which features about 30 dates, is mapped out through a September 1 show in Santa Barbara, California.
Fogerty’s 2024 itinerary also features a series of European gigs in July. In addition, he has a few late-summer U.S. performances lined up without Thorogood.

30 Fourth of July songs to add to your holiday playlist
The Fourth of July is the perfect opportunity to gather your friends and family for a day of fun and festivities.
There's no shortage of ways to celebrate Independence Day, from whipping up a Fourth of July feast to creating red, white and blue crafts with the kids.
Whether you're hosting a backyard bash, staking out your spot on the parade route, or taking a road trip for the best view of the fireworks, you'll want to keep the patriotic spirit going.
While you're keeping an eye on the grill , put on a patriotic playlist full of Fourth of July-themed songs to get the party started.
From high-octane rock anthems like “Born in the U.S.A.” and “Free Bird” to powerhouse pop songs like “Firework” by Katy Perry, your Fourth of July playlist will get everyone on their feet.
Of course, you can't go wrong with classics like “God Bless The U.S.A.” by Lee Greenwood and “Take Me Home, Country Roads” by John Denver.
There's a song for every Independence Day sentiment, whether you're in the mood to boogie with the Beach Boys, start a line dance with a Cowboy Carter track, or just take a quiet moment to reflect on our country's history.
These Fourth of July songs are the perfect soundtrack for your Independence Day festivities.
“Living In The Promiseland” by Willie Nelson
“Give us your tired and weak / And we will make them strong,” Nelson sings in a riff on the Statue of Liberty's famous poem. “Living In The Promiseland” hearkens back to America's original promise.
“Free Bird” by Lynyrd Skynyrd
You can't have a Fourth of July barbecue without queuing up “Free Bird.” Lynyrd Skynyrd's iconic guitar riffs are guaranteed to get the party started.
“We Didn’t Start the Fire” by Billy Joel
Billy Joel's breakneck 1989 hit is the perfect way to celebrate the Fourth of July and learn a little bit more about history, too.
“Born On The Bayou” by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Although none of the members of Creedence Clearwater Revival actually grew up anywhere near a Louisiana bayou, this swamp-rock classic will transport you straight to New Orleans
“God Bless America Again” by Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty
This sweet duet between country icons Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty will bring all the nostalgia.
“America the Beautiful” by Ray Charles
President Barack Obama once called Ray Charles' soulful interpretation of “America the Beautiful” the “most patriotic piece of music ever performed.”
“The Battle Hymn of the Republic” by the U.S. Army Field Choir
The oldest song on this list, “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” was written during the Civil War by Julia Ward Howe. Since then, it has become an American classic. Martin Luther King, Jr. even quoted its lyrics in several of his speeches.
“Born to Run” by Bruce Springsteen
Bruce Springsteen reflects on the meaning of the American dream in this melancholy, but catchy, tune.
“America” by Simon and Garfunkel
This folk-infused tune is perfect for an all-American road trip.
“Saturday in the Park” by Chicago
If “Saturday in the Park” wasn't already on your Fourth of July playlist, take a closer look at the song's first line. This feel-good tune will evoke some of your favorite summertime memories.
“God Bless The U.S.A.” by Lee Greenwood
It's hard to imagine a more classic Fourth of July song than Lee Greenwood's “God Bless The U.S.A.” The rousing chorus will have the whole family singing along.
“Take Me Home, Country Roads” by John Denver
Play this at your Fourth of July gathering and there won't be a dry eye in the house.
“American Pie” by Don McLean
This classic ballad is the perfect song to sing around the campfire — that is, if you can remember its lengthy lyrics.
“Centerfield” by John Fogerty
Fogerty, the lead singer of Creedence Clearwater Revival, created yet another classic as a solo act with “Centerfield,” a rock n’ roll tribute to America’s favorite pastime.
“Back in the U.S.A.” by Chuck Berry
“Anything you want, we got right here in the U.S.A.,” Chuck Berry croons in this '60s hit. If you’ve ever craved a classic burger and milkshake when you’re far from home, this song will ring true for you.
“American Girl” by Tom Petty
Considered a classic for good reason, this upbeat tune is guaranteed to get everyone up and dancing.
“A Change is Going to Come” by Sam Cooke (performed by Otis Redding)
“A Change is Going to Come” serves as a potent reminder of the inequalities that still exist in American society. Cooke's lyrics express hope that America will live up to its values of freedom and justice.
“Proud Mary” by Tina Turner
Tina Turner’s energetic cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s New Orleans-inspired tune quickly became a classic in its own right. See if you can keep up with her moves!
“Texas Hold ‘Em” by Beyoncé
This catchy tune will have you all doing the Texas two-step in no time. Beyoncé’s latest album “Cowboy Carter” is full of country-infused hits that will light up any Fourth of July party.
“Jack and Diane” by John Mellencamp
Mellencamp’s melancholy ode to the American dream will always have a place on Fourth of July playlists.
“American Heart” by Faith Hill
Faith Hill covers a lot of American ground with this song: “It beats like a drum down in New Orleans / Sings like a Motown melody / It dreams like California / Bigger than a Texas sky.”
“Born in the U.S.A” by Bruce Springsteen
By now we all know that this song is a little more subversive than its title might indicate. The Boss masterfully captures the complexity of our country’s legacy with “Born in the U.S.A.”
“Song of the Patriot” by Johnny Cash
Johnny Cash concisely sums up American pride: “I love mom and apple pie / And the freedoms that we all enjoy across this beautiful land.”
“Down on the Corner” by Creedence Clearwater Revival
This tune’s iconic opening guitar twangs have been played everywhere from concert arenas to television commercials. Everyone at your Fourth of July barbecue will be tapping their feet along to the infectious beat.
“American Tune” — Paul Simon
With lyrics like “We come in the age’s most uncertain hours / And sing an American tune,” Paul Simon pays tribute to American history and perseverance.
“Long Time Gone” by The Chicks
“Long Time Gone” is a sweet homage to country music and Americana. Listen closely for the Chicks’ shoutouts to some of country’s greatest stars.
“Surfin’ U.S.A.” by The Beach Boys
No matter where you are for the Fourth of July, “Surfin’ U.S.A”. will have you dreaming of cool water and warm sand. It’s the perfect song for a hot summer afternoon.
“I Won’t Back Down” by Tom Petty
The Fourth of July celebrates the American values of courage and determination, and “I Won’t Back Down” captures that tenacious spirit with its rousing lyrics.
“Kids in America” by Kim Wilde
Whether you’re young or old, you’ll have a blast dancing to this peppy '80s tune.
“Firework” by Katy Perry
You can’t have a Fourth of July playlist without Katy Perry’s “Firework.” If you time it right, you can play this hit while real fireworks light up the sky in front of your eyes.
