Kid Rock’s “No Snowflakes” Tour Sells Out All 30 Shows in Under an Hour

' src=

Kid Rock wanted the country to know he was there for them — the real Americans — when he booked and named his “No Snowflakes” tour. The country has now paid him back…in ticket sales.

In just under an hour, all 30 shows on this summer’s tour sold out, making it the fastest single-day sellout of a 30-date-tour in the history of live music.

Kid says he’s stunned and humbled by the fans, who he says adore him “for good reason” and should be honored to see him live. “They really are the best,” he told Fox News.

The show will feature all of Kid’s hits, including the three from the 90s as well as that one with Sheryl Crow. Crow says she “wouldn’t be caught dead” touring with Kid Rock since his “inability to think for himself” seems to have overtaken any kind of common sense he “may have once had.”

Other musicians will definitely be joining the fray, however. Ted Nugent is planning to show up but it’s unclear if Kid will let him play. “He’s not very good,” he told Donald Trump Jr at that Christmas party.

Tickets will likely be available again tomorrow at twice the price after the resellers do their thing, so all of this is kinda BS, but still. They think the show will sell out, otherwise, they wouldn’t bother buying the nosebleeds. God Bless America.

Kid Rock Announces ‘No Snowflakes’ 2023 Tour

Kid Rock has booked a slate of shows dubbed the "No Snowflakes Summer Concert" series across some major U.S. cities this summer. A different special guest will support the singer on each of the tour dates.

"Snowflake" is derogatory slang implying a person is easily offended, overly emotional or has an inflated sense of entitlement. Kid Rock — the rock, country and hip-hop artist  with ties to former President Donald Trump  — goaded "snowflakes" in the 2021 song " Don't Tell Me How to Live ." ( "You snowflakes here's a news flash / Ain't nobody gonna tell me how to live," he sings .) The term "no snowflakes" also indicates that the tour takes place in the warmer weather of summer.

See the dates near the bottom of this post.

Four concerts have been revealed for the 2023 No Snowflakes tour so far, although it is presumed that more shows will be announced at a later date.

Kid Rock heads to Pine Knob for first hometown shows in 3 years: 5 things to know

kid rock tour sold out

Kid Rock is headed to Pine Knob Music Theatre this weekend for a concert doubleheader — his first metro Detroit homecoming shows in three years.

Rock and his Twisted Brown Trucker band will play the Clarkston amphitheater Friday and Saturday, joined by Foreigner in the opening slot. The shows are essentially sold out, though resale tickets and a handful of premium platinum seats remain available via Ticketmaster .

Here’s the lay of the land as the Romeo native returns to Pine Knob for his first area shows since 2019.

Is this Kid Rock’s final tour?

The musician born Robert Ritchie, now 51, has been performing since his teens. In a 2020 social media post topped by a photo of a steroid injection, he revealed he now suffers from chronic neck pain, attributing it to “performing like I (have been) for the past 30 years."

Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.

He went on to declare he had “one last monster tour” in the works.

During shows on this summer's Bad Reputation Tour, Rock has reaffirmed plans to slow his roll, telling audiences this is his last major tour outing.

He has said he’ll continue to play one-off dates — events such as the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota or the Kid Rock Fish Fry festival he periodically hosts in Tennessee. He has also vowed to pop up for gigs at his honky-tonk restaurant in Nashville, the city he's called home for the past decade.

Physical issues aren't the only reason for the wind-down, Rock has said: He also wants to spend more time with family, including his 7-year-old granddaughter and his infant grandson, born earlier this month to son Robert Ritchie Jr.

This weekend’s Pine Knob shows were originally scheduled to be Rock's tour finale. Dates were subsequently added to the itinerary, and the tour is now set to wrap up Oct. 8 in Nevada.

Pine Knob powerhouse

When he takes the stage Saturday for the second night of his hometown twofer, Kid Rock will clock the 38 th Pine Knob concert of his career, making him the fourth-most prolific performer in the amphitheater's history.

Only the bands Chicago (82 shows), the Beach Boys (61) and the Doobie Brothers (60) have played more shows at the Clarkston venue.

Rock’s Pine Knob history began with a three-show run in the summer of 2000, when he was riding high on “Devil Without a Cause,” his 11-million-selling breakout album, with hits such as "Cowboy" and "Bawitdaba."

In 2013 — when the amphitheater was known as DTE Energy Music Theatre — he staged an eight-show stand, matching a single-season venue record long held by Bob Seger.

Two summers later, Rock played 10 sold-out shows to claim the milestone all for himself.

Detroit fans are well acquainted with the high-energy routine of a Kid Rock concert. Reports from other stops on this summer’s tour reveal a set list heavy on his familiar rap-rock and country-tinged hits, alongside a smattering of new material. He’s also joined onstage for a song with bawdy country singer Trey Lewis.

There are a couple of tweaks this time around: Kid Rock is now wearing his hair in braids — Willie Nelson style — and at one point in the show he mans a saxophone before handing off the horn to a fan in the crowd.

Rock’s 12 th studio album, “Bad Reputation,” was released in the spring, featuring a mix of Southern rock, Midwest-flavored country tunes and some of the most hip-hop-oriented music he’s made since his early years.

Issued on his own Top Dog Records with no major-label connection, it was Kid Rock's first fully independent album since "Early Morning Stoned Pimp," released in 1996 ahead of the Atlantic Records deal that ignited his national breakout.

Shows this summer typically have included four or five “Bad Reputation” songs, including the new album's title track.

The politics

In the highly charged political atmosphere that defines the era, Kid Rock has become a lightning rod . That may help explain why he’s playing just two Pine Knob shows this weekend, rather than the 10 he sold out there in 2015 or the six he played to open Little Caesars Arena in 2017.

During those years, Rock emerged as one of the most high-profile celebrity backers of President Donald Trump. He would go on to play golf with the chief executive and even spend a day at the White House alongside fellow Michigan rocker Ted Nugent.

Kid Rock had long leaned right. But as times got divisive, his wider audience fractured amid his embrace of Trump.

Onstage this summer, Rock has trimmed off the distinct political edges that marked his tour in 2017, when his concerts included a MAGA-style stump speech and a make-believe U.S. Senate run. But the overall spirit persists, most notably in the defiant tone of new songs such as “We the People” and “Don’t Tell Me How to Live.”

Rock has reveled in his status as a target of the establishment, including the news media, and he has now drawn his own lines in the sand: This summer, for the first time in his career, he has denied access to media photographers at his shows, and his lone press interaction has been a behind-the-scenes documentary produced by Fox News host Tucker Carlson. That program, “Life of a Rockstar,” premiered in June on the network’s Fox Nation platform .

The Devil Don’t Sleep , his latest, continues blending life-affirming ballads with unrelenting throwdowns, reflect RollingStone.com’s take, calling him, “a brooding, hip-hop influenced rocker with a healthy dose of Gilbert’s trademark Southern flourishes, (he) plays the defiant outlaw role.”

There are some extra special people that come into your life and Donna Yakes was at the top of that list. She and her husband Tom are my son's Godparents. But Donna and her family were so much more than that. They looked after my son often (and many times myself) and made it possible for me to pursue my career, especially in the early days, when I was making very little money, playing small clubs and working on music as much as possible. Donna had a heart of gold and was the ultimate homemaker and nurturer. I will forever be indebted to her and her family and will FOREVER cherish her smile, her laugh, her pranks, her cooking, our gatherings and always being there for us. I know there is a special place in heaven for people like her. Rest in peace Donna, I love you with all my heart. Bob Ritchie / Kid Rock.

The Michigan-born rap-rocker will play LCA on July 14, joined by fellow Michigan act Grand Funk Railroad. It’s part of a four-city arena run that will include dates in Austin (June 23 with Chris Janson), Fort Worth (June 24 with Marcus King) and Nashville (July 1 with Travis Tritt).

Tickets for all four Kid Rock concerts will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. A fan club presale will start Tuesday.

This summer’s shows come a year after Rock indicated he was ready to scale back his touring pace .

When Rock blanketed the U.S. on his Bad Reputation Tour in 2022, he told audiences it was likely his final major outing. At 51, he’d been performing for three decades, and between chronic neck pain and a pair of young grandchildren back in Tennessee, he was eager to wind things down.

Still, he didn’t rule out future concert dates altogether.

“You never know what the future holds,” he told a Pine Knob crowd last September. “But if we do a few events a year, it’d be a pretty safe bet that something will be in Michigan.”

Kid Rock’s show at LCA is his first there since he opened the arena with a six-night stand in September 2017. The run was a resounding box-office success, selling out and drawing nearly 87,000 concertgoers, though it was met with picketing from activists unhappy with the selection of Rock, a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump .

The new arena included a Kid Rock-themed restaurant sporting his name and memorabilia, but that licensing deal was severed in 2019 amid ongoing controversy surrounding Rock’s public persona. The space now houses an eatery called the Mixing Board.

BEARTOOTH Announces July/August 2024 U.S. Tour With CURRENTS, BOUNDARIES And NEVERTEL

Hot on the heels of the fully sold-out 2024 North American leg of "The Surface" tour, which sold a career-record 78,000 tickets across more than 40 shows, gold-selling and billion-streaming Columbus rock band BEARTOOTH — Caleb Shomo , vocals; Zach Huston , guitars; Will Deely , guitars; Oshie Bichar , bass; and Connor Denis , drums — will be hitting the road again this summer.

The next leg kicks off on July 5 in Las Vegas and runs through August 3 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. CURRENTS , BOUNDARIES and NEVERTEL will serve as support.

"We've all been working harder than ever to create the best show we've ever put on and will stop at nothing to make sure it's worth every penny and then some," says Shomo . "We can't wait to get back out and rock with all of you!"

A special BLABBERMOUTH.NET presale will begin on Wednesday, May 8 at 2:00 p.m. EDT and end on Thursday, May 9 at 10:00 p.m. local time. When prompted, type in the presale code "BBMBT24" using the ticketing links below to access tickets before the general public. Check back here on Wednesday for ticketing links to individual shows. General on-sale will be Friday, May 10 at 10 a.m. local time.

BEARTOOTH 's fifth studio album, "The Surface" , came out in October 2023 via Red Bull Records . With 160 million streams to date, it debuted at No. 1 on Billboard Hard Rock Albums, Luminate Alternative Albums, and Luminate Record Label Independent Current Albums, as well as No. 5 on Billboard 's Top Album Sales. The band has so far earned nominations at this year's Libera Awards for "Best Heavy Record" and the Heavy Music Awards for "Best International Artist".

In other BEARTOOTH news, their latest single, "I Was Alive" , landed at No. 1 on both the Billboard Mainstream Airplay chart and the U.S. Mediabase Active Rock radio chart. It landed on the latter chart for the week of April 27 and has stayed there for two weeks. The single marks the band's second No. 1 in six months, following their previous single, "Might Love Myself" , which was the band's first-ever No. 1 at the format. BEARTOOTH achieving back-to-back, chart-topping singles at radio is a testament to their decade of growth and the power of "The Surface" .

Shomo first turned the pain of his struggle with mental health and self-image into music in 2013.

BEARTOOTH began as a living document, a diary, a journal of repressed rage and depression. Alone in his basement studio, screaming and singing, playing all the instruments, and self-producing a batch of furious but melodic songs filled with reflection and confession, the Ohio native stared into the abyss, initially with no intention of returning to the heavy music world that burned him as a teen. A decade later, the different pieces of his body of work connect in title, sound, and spirit. As the frontman hits 31, BEARTOOTH 's 2023-released fifth album, "The Surface" , completes this era. It kicked off a new chapter filled with surprising optimism and just as honest. Depression is a sick, disgusting, aggressive disease below the surface. Shomo stands ready to bask in the light.

Like NINE INCH NAILS , BEARTOOTH remains a one-person band in the studio. On the heels of the introductory "Sick" EP (2013), "Disgusting" (2014) produced the band's first gold single, "In Between" . "Aggressive" (2016) and "Disease" (2018) expanded on the desperation and pain, each a step closer to a balance between the blood and tears of classic recordings and the shimmer of modernity.

Rolling Stone heralded BEARTOOTH as one of 10 Artists You Need to Know. The rabid response to Shomo 's music demonstrated how many people related to his struggle for self-acceptance. "Below" (2021) topped the Rock and Alternative charts and several Best Rock/Metal Albums Of The Year lists. As of 2024, the BEARTOOTH catalog boasts more than one billion streams across all platforms.

BEARTOOTH began as both bomb and balm, an outright refusal to suffer in silence, weaponizing radio-ready bombast, delivering raw emotion mixed with noise-rock chaos. Other bands play the "devastating riffs and catchy hooks" game, but this music is the difference between life and death, and now, a sort of life after death while still here. The band Forbes sees "inching towards a tipping point of becoming the latest arena headliner" is now one step closer.

Foo Fighters Launch 2024 Tour: Set List, Videos

Foo Fighters returned to the road with the launch of their 2024 Everything or Nothing at All tour on May 1 in Dallas.

The sold-out show took place at the Dos Equis Pavilion, with an estimated 20,000 fans in attendance.

Dave Grohl and his bandmates have a well-earned reputation for delivering long shows, and they certainly were up to the task on this night, rocking through 24 songs during their set.

Foo Fighters gave fans an eclectic assortment of songs during their tour opener. Yes, the massive hits were well represented, as “The Pretender,” “Times Like These,” “All My Life” and “Best of You” all got their time to shine. But the band also mixed in deeper cuts, like “Arlandria” (from 2011’s Wasting Light ) and “La Dee Da” (from 2017’s Concrete and Gold ).

Midway through the show, Grohl paid tribute to late Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrell .

“Since we’re here in Dallas, I’m gonna dedicate this one to an old friend who lived around here,” the frontman declared. “His name was ‘Dimebag’ Darrell. How about that? Let’s hear it for Darrell. It’s called ‘My Hero’.”

Naturally, the evening ended with the Foo Fighters’ customary closer, “Everlong.” See the full set list and fan-shot videos from the concert below.

Foo Fighters’ 2024 Summer Plans

Foo Fighters’ initial stretch of 2024 U.S. dates will last two weeks and include stops at the New Orleans Jazz Fest, Shaky Knees Festival and Welcome to Rockville. In June, the band heads to the U.K. and Europe for performance, before returning Stateside for a longer run of dates beginning in July. Mammoth WVH and the Pretenders will each open select concerts later in the summer.

Notably, this marks the Foo Fighters first extensive North American tour with Josh Freese as part of the band. The drummer, who took over for the late Taylor Hawkins in 2023, previously joined the group for some one-off U.S. dates and a tour of Australia and New Zealand. The Dallas show featured several songs Freese hadn’t previously performed with the band, including “Bridge Burning” and “Medicine at Midnight.” The There Is Nothing Left to Lose song “Aurora” was dedicated to Hawkins.
