The high, precipitous Amalfi Peninsula juts sharply into the Mediterranean just south of Naples, forming the southern rim of Naples Bay. It's hard to imagine a more beautiful–or unlikely setting for the towns that spill down its steep slopes. The Amalfi Drive, along the southern coast, is one of the world's great scenic routes. Off the end of the peninsula, and easy to reach by regular ferries, is the fabled island of Capri, with its Blue Grotto sea cave, lavish villas, and lush gardens. Sorrento, on the northern coast of the Amalfi Peninsula is a good base, an easy day trip from all the things to see and do in the region.

The five towns that cling to the steep, rocky Mediterranean coast north of La Spezia were almost impossible to reach by land until the railway connected them by tunneling through the headlands that separate them. Today, the trail along the cliffs that locals once used to travel from town to town is one of Italy's great hikes; the shortest and widest of its sections, between Manarola and Riomaggiore is known as the Via dell'Amore, and will be closed until sometime in 2022, due to a landslide. Although hiking the trail is the goal of most tourists, don't overlook the pleasures of lingering in these little villages. Riomaggiore and Vernazza, with their narrow streets dropping down to tiny rock-bound harbors are the most filled with character, and despite its recent popularity with tourists, the Cinque Terre remains one of Italy's most appealing attractions.

Italy's most beautiful lake, Como has been the favorite summer retreat of the rich and famous since ancient Romans fled Milan's summer heat to cool off in villas along its steep shores. Later villas decorate its tightly clustered towns, especially pretty Bellagio, artfully set on a point where the three narrow arms of the lake meet. A microclimate makes Como's western shore temperate even in winter, so the white peaks of the Alps just to the north can be viewed between palm trees and camellias. Don't overlook the town of Como, on the southern shore, well worth a stop before boarding a steamer to explore the lake.

Mario Tour (2023)

The Mario Tour was the ninety-first tour of Mario Kart Tour , which began on March 8, 2023 and ended on March 21, 2023. It was rerun from March 6, 2024 to March 19, 2024 as the game's hundred-and-seventeenth tour.

The tour ran through Mario Day . Reflecting the theme, the tour featured the introduction and classic course debut of Mario Circuit from Mario Kart DS , coinciding with its presence in Wave 4 of the Booster Course Pass DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe , which was announced a day before the tour's trailer was released and would release within a day of the start of the tour, as well as the R/T variant of N64 Luigi Raceway . This is the final tour to introduce a new DS course.

This was the first tour to introduce a recolor of the Pipe Buggy since the base kart's debut in the 2019 Halloween Tour eighty-eight tours prior, thus making it the longest gap of the kart's (and any item in general's) introduction and its first recolor variant. It also introduced the green Roving Racer from Super Mario Odyssey , which previously had its textures added to the game eighty-five tours prior in the London Tour . This tour featured most of the Circuit and Raceway courses available in the game at the time of the tour, the first reappearance of RMX Mario Circuit 1 since the 2022 Doctor Tour , and the first reappearance of RMX Donut Plains 1 and the Precision Gliding bonus challenge since the Battle Tour . The Tanooki Mario Cup debuted in this tour, even though Tanooki Mario had been playable since the 2021 Autumn Tour and had been available in regular pipes since the Battle Tour .

The Coin Rush course for this tour was SNES Mario Circuit 1, which was reused from the 2020 Trick Tour and the Toad vs. Toadette Tour . The menu's background featured Peach's Castle as the landmark for this tour.

An event called the "Mario event" began and ended in this tour to coincide with Mario Day. This is the first event to last only one tour.

As of March 29, 2023, the trailers for the initial run of this tour were privated on the Nintendo Mobile YouTube channel, and several tweets related to the tour were deleted from the English and Japanese Mario Kart Tour X accounts.

Players' most recently used kart and glider are chosen, and favorite and favored ones have extra priority. Opponents are arranged randomly. On day 1 of this tour, players finish a race in 3DS Mario Circuit in the Mii Cup using the Spike Mii Racing Suit for a free pipe launch. Starting from day 2, players have to finish a race in the earliest incomplete course that is not in any of the ranked cups using the driver shown on the course's thumbnail every day to obtain the corresponding reward in the table below. Once all of the courses are completed, the courses are selected at random.

The tour marks the beginning of what plans to be a super massive travel cycle for Closure In Moscow as they head across to the U.S on the Warped Tour playing all 44 shows.
