Customer Review photo

Hands down the best way to “Experience Jordan”

Amazing experience! We absolutely loved our hike and loved the people we got to share our travels with. We truly believe this is one of the BEST ways to “experience Jordan”. Our hiking guide, Mahmood, was fun, informative, professional, and became a great friend! We were so impressed that guiding our group wasn’t just a job for Mahmood, but rather a passion... You didn’t feel part of the mass tourism, but rather part of something raw and real.

My two friends and I went on a 10 day trip to Jordan and used [Experience] Jordan Adventures to arrange it. The short review is everything was superlative. The long review: I had some experiences I wanted to experience: The Ma'in Hot Springs, Petra, Wadi Rum and snorkeling/diving the Red Sea. I contacted a bunch of tour agencies and Raisa at Experience Jordan seemed to immediately know what I was trying to achieve. She arranged a 10 day tour with a driver, hotels, a camel ride at Wadi Rum, desert camping, etc. ... In sum, I recommend Experience Jordan Adventures without reservation.

Why go private? When should I book? How much does it cost? And more questions answered.

Maybe you like an itinerary, but the dates don’t work for you. We can run it as a Private Departure for you.

Maybe you like most of an itinerary, but want to make some slight changes or have some upgrades.

Maybe you just want to enjoy the trip with your friends and family and keep the trip private.

Maybe you are not quite sure want you want or how to make it work, and you would love some advice and feedback from our expert Tour Designers.

Yes! We have been doing multi-country sightseeing tours for years with our very close partners in East Jerusalem. We offer seamless sightseeing tours across the region and are experts on the border.

Border rules and regulations are always changing and hard to follow. We’ll ensure your multi-country trip goes smoothly.

Like most things, the earlier the better. Most of our trips are booked months ahead of time and many are booked more than six months beforehand. Sometimes we may be able to confirm your tour “last minute,” particularly in low season (summer, January, February) or for simpler tours with flexible requirements.

Booking early is particularly helpful if you plan on traveling during peak season or time periods (March, April, Easter, October, Christmas & New Year). Specifically if you have certain accommodations in mind like luxurious camps in Wadi Rum, and lodges in the wilderness.

Our custom tours are priced from scratch according to your requirements. Smaller groups share the fixed costs (like transportation and guides) across fewer people so the per-person costs are usually higher for smaller groups. For example a 2-person tour will generally be close to, but not quite, 50% of the cost per person of a 1-person tour.

So if you are price sensitive, a single traveler, or part of a small group (less than 4), then joining on of our Adventures with set dates may be a better option. If you are looking for a custom or more luxurious tour, and/or part of a larger group then a private tour may work best.

Your booking will expire in 5 minutes. Continue to secure your booking.

All of our Jordan luxury tours include a stop at Petra, the ancient Nabataean city that is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World in 2007. During your Jordan private tour, you will explore the city carved into the red rock by the Nabataeans more than two thousand years ago. You may recognize some of these locations in Petra from the Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade movie.

Explore Wadi Rum on a private guided four-wheel excursion along the pink desert sands and red mountain vistas.

Head to the lowest point on earth and visit the Dead Sea, where John the Baptist baptized Jesus.

Day 1: Arrival in Amman

Continue to the baggage claim hall and finally to the passenger pick up. Meet with your private guide and driver to transfer to your hotel.

Accommodation: Grand Hyatt Amman (5*)

Grand Hyatt Amman, Jordan

Day 2: Amman

Today’s luxury tour to Ajlun will include a private vehicle, a driver, and a trained, certified guide. There, enjoy climbing the narrow staircases and walking through endless hallways, taking you back to a time of chivalry and faith, where you can almost imagine the sounds of battling Iron and the sight of the raging battlefield.

After visiting Ajlun, enjoy a short private ride to Jerash. Jerash is one of the best-preserved Roman provincial towns in the world. Jerash reveals a fine example of the grand, formal provincial Roman urbanism found throughout the Middle East, comprising paved and colonnaded streets, soaring hilltop temples, handsome theatres, spacious public squares and plazas, baths, fountains, and city walls pierced by towers and gates. After visiting Jerash, head back to Amman for a private city tour.

The private custom tour of Amman will include the fascinating Roman Theater and Nymphaeum that reflect the historic legacy of the city and the enchanting Citadel, which has stood since the ancient times of the Ammonites. For a more exotic and traditional experience, you will walk around in the old-downtown, also known as the local market in Amman ”Souq,” and take in the traditional sights and smells of the spice market. During this custom tour to Amman, you will have the opportunity to shop for authentic souvenirs. Enjoy a Falafel snack with the locals at famous restaurants, eat Arabic Sweets (Knafeh), and drink fruit cocktails at a local fruit stand.

Ajlun, Jordan

Day 3: Madaba – Nebo – Petra

Today enjoy a private custom tour to Madaba. Madaba is known for its spectacular Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics. Madaba is home to the famous 6th century Mosaic Map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land. With two million pieces of vividly colored local stone, it depicts hills and valleys, villages and towns as far as the Nile Delta. The Madaba Mosaic Map covers the floor of the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George, which is located northwest of the city center. The church was built in 1896 AD, over the remains of a much earlier 6th century Byzantine church. The mosaic panel enclosing the Map was originally around 15.6 X 6m, 94 square meters, only about a quarter of which is preserved.

After enjoying Madaba and its incredible history, continue to Mount Nebo (15 minutes drive from Madaba). According to both the Jewish and the Christian traditions, Moses was buried in this mountain by God. However, his final resting place is unknown and shall remain so according to the Jewish and Christian tradition. Scholars continue to dispute whether the mountain currently known as Nebo is the same as the mountain referred to in the Torah. However, archaeologists worldwide have conducted endless searches for this cave and have not found a trace of its existence.

Afterward, located 10 minutes north of Petra, explore The Siq Al-Barid (Little Petra) and its temple, the miniature Siq.

After visiting Mount Nebo, we continue to Petra (a 4-hr drive from Mount Nebo) – Drive beyond Umm Sayhun, a short distance north of Petra. The road runs between wild and beautiful outcrops of rock, the color of pale honey. It is called al-Beidha in Arabic, ‘the white one.’ Al-Beidha was one of Petra’s main commercial areas, the entry and exit point for the trade routes to the north and north-west.

Later in the evening, enjoy the Petra Kitchen, which is a delightful way to round out your Jordan travel experience. Like any home kitchen, the Petra Kitchen is a relaxed, informal atmosphere where you will gather to prepare an evening meal, working alongside local women under our chef’s supervision. Each evening meal includes soup, cold and hot mezza and salads, and the main course, all typical Jordanian dishes. You will have the chance to get an inside glimpse of the secrets behind the famous regional cuisine of the Levant.

Accommodation: Mövenpick Petra (5*)

A 6th-century mosaic map of Jerusalem in the Madaba Map

Day 4: Petra – Wadi Rum

Start your day with your private guide and private vehicle visiting Petra, the treasure of the ancient world, and the rock-carved rose-red city, which was “designed to strike wonder into all who entered it.” Petra is the legacy of the Nabataeans who settled in southern Jordan more than 2,000 years ago. Explore its refined culture and unbelievable architecture.

After visiting Petra, drive to Wadi Rum (about a 1.5-hour drive). This is a stupendous, timeless place, virtually untouched by humanity and its destructive forces.

During this custom tour, you will explore Wadi Rum with your private four-wheel excursion and your private certified tour guide. Here you will explore the uniquely shaped massive mountains that rise vertically out of the pink desert sand in the magnificent Jordanian desert. After enjoying Wadi Rum, head back with your private car and driver to Petra.

Jordan Private Tours

If you are looking for a private tour in Jordan this page is a great place to start. Not only does it include private tour itineraries, but it also includes tips on choosing and booking a Jordan private tour.

For first-timers in Jordan, planning can get overwhelming, and hiring a private guide can take the guesswork out of planning the best itinerary. No one knows a good itinerary like a local Jordan guide who spends every day traveling around the country.

I have seen plenty of bad itineraries, from both tour operators (who often have never done the tour) and from people who plan to see the country independently, but do not do the proper planning. Jordan private tours will enable you to sit back and relax as your guide or driver will take care of getting you from A to B. Behind the scenes, your private tour guide will take care of the itinerary and logistics while you can enjoy your adventure in Jordan.

A private tour guide in Jordan can offer the expertise that first-timers to the country might not think of. From quick detours enabling visitors to see even more that they never thought could happen to a quick word with an employee of a site that is about to close that does not want to admit more visitors; Jordanian tour guides can often give you more than what you would get if you had shown up on your own.

What to Know About Booking A Private Tour Guide in Jordan

How to choose a guide.

The most important thing about choosing a private tour guide in Jordan is to ensure they are licensed by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities . Taxi drivers and private drivers are quick to offer “guiding” services but are usually not licensed guides (or they would be doing tours not driving cars).

Licensed guides are permitted access to all of the sites in Jordan and often are given priority service in restaurants, handicraft shops, and some sites.

Having a private guide with you means you will not have to hire a local guide inside the tourist sites and they can give you a more detailed experience that a guidebook cannot afford you.

Why choose a Jordan Private Tour Guide instead of a Group Tour?

There are several reasons to book a private tour guide in Jordan instead of a group tour. The first is the option to completely customize your itinerary based on your time in the country, the level of comfort you are looking for, and the sites you want to see.

The second reason why you should consider a private tour guide in Jordan is that they can cater to special situations that group tours cannot always accommodate. If you are traveling as a family, young children have different needs when it comes to having a “pool day” or rest afternoon. Also, large families can benefit from booking a private tour instead of taking up half the spaces on a small group tour. It can also often save you money.

The third reason to book a private tour in Jordan is that it caters to travelers who do not like group tours. If the thought of sitting on a bus from A to B and seeing something then getting back on the bus from B to C just turns you off tours altogether, then a private tour is perfect for you. You can lounge at lunch for as long as you want or stop for take-out shwarma without having to stick to a strict schedule. Jordan private tours offer the ultimate flexibility.

How to Book a Private Tour Guide In Jordan?

That is where Step into Jordan comes in. Below you will find sample private itineraries that are perfect for small groups. All of these tours are customizable and they include as much as your want. The tours below just include a guide and the vehicle, to give you an idea of what having a licensed guide will cost you in Jordan.

Jordan - Tour Highlights and Travel Tips

Holidays to Jordan will be incomplete without a visit to Petra

Located at the crossroads of Asia , Africa , and Europe , Jordan is a representation of all of the intersections that occur in that crossroads. Once home to Romans and Ottomans, holidays to Jordan will bring you its rich history and culture filled with color, heart, and vibrancy. Bordered by Iraq, Iran , Saudi Arabia, and Israel , a trip to Jordan has something for all travel bugs.

Tour Highlights

  • Visit the ancient Nabataean city of Petra, and go back in time to when things were a little simpler; if that’s not enough, it’s a modern Wonder of the World.
  • Experience the viciously natural cycle of Wadi Rum, a desert that is a day away from Aqaba and Petra.
  • Swim with the fishes in the Red Sea.
  • See wildlife and scenery that is ancient while remaining timeless at the Dana Biosphere Reserve.
  • Live in the dichotomy of the city of Amman ; urbane and modern in the West, and earthy and ancient in the East.

Travel Tips

  • Other than covering yourself appropriately — men with legs covered and women with arms, legs, and hair covered —there aren’t many customs that you need to worry about.
  • It is a very safe place to be; none of the revolts or riots have spilled over from its neighbors. However, being a tourist, one needs to follow the usual safety precautions.
  • Bring good walking shoes and breathable clothing; it’s hot and you’re going to be doing a lot of walking.
  • Water is safe to drink, although it is heavily chlorinated so it might taste bad; just to be safe, stick with bottled water and pasteurized milk.
  • Be aware of your sun limits; the sun is brutal and you could get badly sunburnt, or worse, pass out from heat exhaustion or heat stroke.
  • If you need it, healthcare in Jordan is generally good, and there are hospitals in big cities and clinics in smaller villages.

Jordan has seasonal weather so please do check up on best time to visit Jordan before planning your tour. If you’re still hunting for more things to do and places to explore in Jordan, do check out our Jordan Travel Guide for more information.

While camping in Wadi Rum, you can stargaze and watch the landscape change throughout the night. Climb the beautiful Little Bridge or Burdah rock bridge for a breathtaking view of the desert. Hike through the canyon of Abu Khashaba and eat a traditional Bedouin lunch. Sandboarding on the Al Hasany dunes is a must-do activity.
  • Tick off the highlights in Madaba: Visit Madaba , a friendly market town, that is known for its collection of Byzantine-era mosaics and has one of Jordan's largest Christian populations. This vibrantly colored city encompasses numerous attractions through its historical sites and offers a hearty Jordanian experience. Visit St. George's Church to see the amazing Mosaic map and the Church of Apostles to see the inscribed figures of 12 apostles. View the entire city and the Jordan River from the top of Mount Nebo, or visit Carpet City for the best quality and most beautiful carpets. And if you happen to be in Madaba on a Friday, you will be able to witness the town's long tradition of joyfully and loudly expressing its religious tolerance at dawn.

A safe sliver of land nestled in the heart of the Middle East, Jordan is rich in both historical landmarks and contemporary intrigue. Though many travel to Jordan for a holy pilgrimage through the nation’s biblical landmarks, a specific spiritual itinerary is not necessary to feel the history of the region. In fact, a trip through its’ desert would provide the same ancient feeling, as local shepards clad in robes guide their livestock through the land and ancient ruins are natural backdrops to bustling day-to-day life. The best days in Jordan are spent sipping cardamom coffee and watching Middle Eastern culture unfold around you.

But if you feel eager to engulf yourself further, dive into the capital of Amman. A far stray from the nation’s more rural provinces, it is as modern and culturally diverse as any metropolis but with a spirited, Jordanian flair. Regardless of whether your itinerary steers its’ way through biblical ruins, thriving city markets, or provincial desert air, the locals welcome all with a sincere hospitality. As any Jordan tour guide will tell you, it is truly a land to be discovered.

Tell us your destination, date, and group size.

Our team of travel experts and guides will design a tailored itinerary just for you., enjoy your trip with peace of mind knowing everything is taken care of..

Culture and customs.

As a Muslim country, Jordan’s culture is quite conservative, although not as conservative as some other Middle Eastern countries. Western influences (particularly in Amman and other large cities) have infiltrated Jordanian society so Jordan now possesses a mix of Arabian customs amid modern ways of life. Due to immigration, Jordan now has a significant Palestinian and Iraqi population, adding to the cultural diversity of the country.

Despite the outside influences, Islamic traditions are strong in Jordan with spectacular mosques signaling the call to prayer five times a day, Ramadan being observed each year and some segregation of the sexes occurring.

The desert-dwelling Bedouin have a distinct culture of their own, drawing on traditions that have been passed down for centuries. Living a largely nomadic lifestyle, the Bedouin rely on the herding of animals and the creation of handicrafts in the absence of a fertile environment to farm. With a strong musical heritage, traditional instruments are played and time-honored traditions are continued.

Hospitality is a crucial element of Jordanian culture. Most visitors will be humbled by the kindness, sincerity and genuine care showed by Jordanians. Being welcomed into peoples’ homes is common, and can probably be attributed to the custom of welcoming strangers and sharing food when traveling in the unforgiving desert.

Eating and drinking

Intrepid believes that one of the best ways to experience a country is by eating! Whether you're sampling street food, savoring a cheap eat or indulging in a banquet, there are endless options to choose from wherever you are in the world.

Featuring typical Middle Eastern ingredients like lamb, chickpeas, garlic and a range of aromatic herbs and spices, Jordanian cuisine is delicious.

Things to try in Jordan

Like many other Middle Eastern countries, a plate of shared breads and dips is a great way to begin a feast.

This traditional Bedouin dish of lamb and yogurt is usually served with rice and bread. This is the national dish of Jordan, so definitely try it before you leave.

These small, sweet pastries made with honey and nuts will have you going back for more.

The coffee in Jordan is strong. Often spiced with a hint of cardamom, coffee is strongly linked to the famed Jordanian hospitality, so drink up – it would be rude not to!

Geography and environment

Jordan is made up of a staggeringly diverse range of natural environments. From stark deserts to towering mountains, fertile wetlands, coastal reefs and urban cities, journeying through Jordan provides changing scenery and varying conditions.

Sharing borders with Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Syria and Israel and the Palestinian Territories, Jordan mixes modern architecture with heritage-filled buildings, well-manicured streets with historic alleyways and impressive mansions with simple homes.

Modern, developed cities like Amman and Aqaba feature unique architecture, spectacular mosques, five-star hotels and resorts. Small villages with rustic housing populate the less-built-up rural areas and Bedouin tents made of goat hair can be found in desert areas.

History and government

Early history.

The country now known as Jordan was originally inhabited by the Nabataeans thousands of years ago. Over the centuries, Jordan has been a place conquered and inhabited by many different people including the Romans, Greeks, Assyrians, Ottoman Turks, Egyptians and Mamluks (people of Kurdish origins). All these influences can still be seen today in Jordan's ancient ruins, architecture, crafts and arts. Many battles were fought in Ancient Jordan, including the Christian crusaders who clashed with Islamic Forces in Jordan during the 11th and 12th centuries. The first Muslim Dynasty began with the Umayyad Empire in 661.

Recent history

In 1950, Jordan was renamed the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and in 1951, King Abdullah I was assassinated while visiting a mosque. His eldest son became king but was removed from his duties in 1952 due to mental illness. In 1953, his teenage son Hussein Ibn Talal became king, and continued to rule for over 40 years. In the 1960s, Jordan saw many immigrants arrive and settle – mainly Palestinians escaping the conflict in their homeland.

In 1999, King Abdullah II succeeded his father King Hussein and continues to rule Jordan now. His reign has been characterized by liberal policies, economic reforms and technological advances. His wife, Queen Rania of Jordan, has a visible public profile, is active in many social causes and is regarded internationally as a highly influential woman.

Do you need a visa for Jordan?

Visas are required by all visitors entering Jordan.

Single entry visas valid for 14 days and can be obtained by most nationalities on arrival at the airport in Amman or at the Jordanian border for approximately JOD40.

It can be significantly more expensive to acquire your visa from the embassy in your home country.

If you require a stay longer than 14 days, visas obtained from the embassy in your home country will be valid for two months.

When is the best time to visit Jordan?

The weather in Jordan can get quite extreme. Overall, it tends to be hot during the day and cold at night (in desert areas, expect it to be extremely hot during the day and freezing at night). Yet during winter it can get bitterly cold, with snowfall occurring in some parts of the country.

Traveling during the summer months (June, July and August) can be challenging for those not accustomed to the heat, so visiting Jordan during spring and autumn is recommended for those who wish to escape the hotter temperatures.

Is tipping customary in Jordan?

Tipping is up to the individual in Jordan. Hotels and up-market restaurants typically add a surcharge that is included in bills, which is usually 10%. Rounding up bills and leaving spare change is a good idea when dining in smaller restaurants and when using taxis.

What is the internet access like in Jordan?

Internet access is growing rapidly in Jordan. Internet can usually be accessed from hotels and internet cafes in major cities. Expect little to no access in small towns, villages and other rural areas.

Can I use my cell phone while in Jordan?

Cell phone coverage is good in Jordan’s major cities and built-up areas like Amman and Aqaba. Expect limited to no phone coverage in more isolated areas like the desert. Ensure you have global roaming activated on your phone before leaving home.

What are the toilets like in Jordan?

Western-style toilets are common in modern hotels, malls and at popular tourist areas. Squat toilets are the standard throughout the rest of the country. Sometimes, you may need to pay and bring your own toilet paper when visiting public rest rooms.

What will it cost for a…?

Jordan's unit of currency is the Jordanian Dinar (JOD). Here's what you can expect to pay for a:

Street snack = 1-5 JOD Can of soft drink = 1 JOD Dinner at a restaurant = 10-45 JOD Embroidered shawl = 20-30 JOD

Can I drink the water in Jordan?

Drinking water from taps in Jordan can be safe, depending on where you are. It's considered safe to drink water from modern hotels that have filtered water but perhaps not so from smaller establishments and in rural areas. For environmental reasons, try to use a refillable water bottle rather than buying bottled water. Peel fruit before eating and avoid ice in drinks.

Are credit cards accepted widely in Jordan?

Major credit cards are widely accepted by stores in Jordan. Smaller cafes and shops may not accept credit cards so ensure you carry enough cash to cover small purchases.

What is ATM access like in Jordan?

ATMs are common in Jordan’s main cities so finding one won't be a problem. Rural and remote areas typically will have less ATMs so be sure to carry enough cash for purchases when away from the city.

Is Jordan LGBTQIA+ friendly?

As a Muslim country, Jordan’s culture is quite conservative, although not as conservative as some other Middle Eastern countries. Homosexuality has been decriminalized in Jordan since 1951, and while Jordanians who identify as having an LGBTQIA+ identity will not be criminalized, many people continue to hide their sexuality or identity from their families, and there is still a deep social stigma. As long as LGBTQIA+ travelers display some discretion and respect for local culture, particularly when visiting places outside of the major cities and tourist areas, they will have no problem visiting Jordan.

Jordan is a predominantly Muslim country and conservative clothing is the norm for all genders. You don't need to cover yourself from head to toe, but you should wear clothing that covers your chest, shoulders and legs from the knee up. Honoring the local dress code shows respect for the local culture and customs.

Jordan Express

Overall the trip was good. I would have liked to have a pre-tour meeting the night before. The guide just showed up in the morning and we got on the bus. The itinerary is as good as it could be! Saw everything I wanted to see, aside from some of the desert castles. The coach was very comfortable and the driver was insanely talented(I can't recall his name but he gets 6 stars). The hotel is Amman is very nice, but far away from any attractions/sights. The hotel staff in Amman was extremely helpful in ordering us food, changing our room, and organizing any extras we needed. The hotel in Petra wasn't great - no free WiFi, shoddy elevators, average staff. The only thing good is that the hotel is a short walk to the entrance of Petra. The desert camp at Wadi Rum was fantastic - the rooms, the staff, the food.Loved it all! Included meals were average - breakfasts were not great, except for the Wadi Rum camp where the meals were top notch. While I think our guide was very sweet and extremely knowledgeable, his delivery of the information was rather bland and boring. I understand that a lot of men smoke in Jordan, but when the guides and drivers are constantly smoking around the guests.....it's uncomfortable for those that do not smoke. The value of the optional excursion to As Salt and Bethany was terrible. Because I was alone, they jacked up the cost of the tour and quoted me in US dollars rather than Dinar like I had requested. Wouldn't let me pay by credit card like I requested. It was just me and the guide/driver and nothing was included except lunch. Still had to pay for my entrance to Bethany, despite having a Jordan pass. The value I received for what I paid for this excursion was not worth it. While my trip was fun, I think there are other tour companies that offer better value and experience than Encounters.

Short Trip To Jordan - Group Tour By Locals Tour

Short Trip To Jordan - Group Tour By Locals

I chose this tour because it packed in a lot of sites in a short time, included almost all the meals, transportation, lodging and a guide. Also as a solo traveler I felt safer in a group (only 16 max) and the single supplement fee was only $100 more for the trip. The group I joined had actually already been on a week-long tour of Egypt when I added on. They were not as inclusive as I would have hoped but I was still happy to tour around and take photos at my own pace. There were a few instances where not everyone had the same inclusions on the tours they booked which led to a little confusion. But I suspect some tourists canceled due to war in the neighboring countries and the tour company had to merge groups to fill the spots. Our guide Hussam was very punctual, friendly, communicative, accommodating and informative. He did allow some freedom which I appreciated. The food was amazing and the lodging was better than expected for a 3 star and above tour. The people of Jordan were warm, kind and welcoming. The merchants were not pushy. The attractions were awesome and beautiful and well worth the long trek to get there. There were some police stopping the shuttle every day to for added security but they never came on board. I would’ve added a couple days to my trip had I had a travel companion. Jordan felt very safe.

Essential Jordan (4 Star Hotels) Tour

Essential Jordan (4 Star Hotels)

Good tour. Good itinerary and group. Overall, we were happy. I’d say the four-star were a little exaggerated. I’d say hotels were three star. Also, what was annoying was consulting with your radar before the tour to see if a Jordan pass was needed. The pass would include entry to sites and visa. This was around $100 cheaper than what we did. But they never told us. Finally the first day is a 15 min meeting that wasn’t worthwhile and shouldn’t be a tour day’

Totally Jordan - 8 Days Tour

Totally Jordan - 8 Days

I had high expectations of Jordan but this trip still managed to beat them. Petra was staggering and the night camping in Wadi Rum was great. I would strongly recommend booking this tour instead of the shorter one, as the free day at the Dead Sea is very welcome after a busy tour! All of the hotels were of a high standard, with good Wi-Fi and delicious meals. Our guide Mohamed was attentive and interesting, he made several stops that weren't on the itinerary, for example to see a historic Ottoman train in Wadi Rum. Jordanian people are so friendly and welcoming, and despite the situation in Israel I felt completely safe and looked after for the entire trip. I cannot wait to return.

A Week in Jordan

This was a wonderful tour, with so much packed in to just a week. We saw many beautiful sites throughout the week. Our guide, Amer was truely wonderful. A lovely person and very knowledgeable about Jordan. He was great to talk to and answered any questions we had and was full of good advice. He was always happy to tweak the schedule to help us get the best out of our day. Amer really was a big part of why the tour was so good. The night spent in Wadi Rum was a personal highlight for me. Petra was breathtaking especially the views from the Monastery and Sacrifice. I would highly recommend this tour and our guide, Amer, to anyone.

What people love about Fully Guided Tours in Jordan

Amazing tour, seeing all the sites in Jordan. Was lucky enough to be the only person booked on my date so had one-on-one guiding with Thaer who was absolutely brilliant! Thoroughly recommend this tour
Mo was an excellent tour leader in that he has such passion and enthusiasm about Jordan. I learnt so much about the history and culture and so enjoyed all of the activities. Mo went over and beyond to ensure my dietary needs were met as I have coeliac disease which was much appreciated. Highly recommend this tour.
Best trip I've ever had. Every part of it was just the most amazing experience and I can't wait to visit again.

private tour guides in jordan

Ahlan wa Sahlan - Welcome to Jordan.

Hi, I’m Abdullah Nawafleh, a private tour guide and I would like to personally welcome you to Jordan. Wherever you go in Jordan you will hear Ahlan wa Sahlan - Welcome to Jordan. Jordanians are famous for their hospitality and nothing gives them greater pleasure or makes them prouder than being able to welcome you to their country and ensure you have a great time. An invitation for a cup of tea to someone’s house is an opportunity to experience firsthand this hospitality and leave with new friendship formed.

Come and delight in the wonders that Jordan has to offer; from being surrounded with stunning natural beauty to exploring ancient ruins steeped with history, taste dishes that will leave you salivating, and experience a culture built on centuries of traditions. There is something for everyone to enjoy.

A holiday in Jordan can see you visiting the ancient city of Petra built centuries ago by the Nabatean people. Marvel at their engineering skills at how they created decorated tombs and monuments chiseled into the colorful sandstone cliffs. Jordan is home to the ruins of Jerash, one of the most fantastic examples of a Roman city you can find anywhere. Walking around the ruins can easily transport you back 2000 years and imagine what life would have been like. A taste of crusader history can be found at Karak or Shawbak Castles. Other ancient and historical sites in Jordan include the Eastern Desert Castles, Um Quais, Um Ar Rasas, Aljoun Castle and among others.

Amman is a vibrant and exciting capital city which whilst offering all the services and facilities that you would except to find in the nation’s capital, it has not forgotten it’s past. The citadel provides stunning views over Amman and a journey through the history of the civilizations that have called this region home over the millennia.

A trip to Jordan would not be complete without spending time at one of the beautiful wilderness areas. From the breathtaking and expansive desert and monolithic outcrops of Wadi Rum, to the forests of the North, the wetlands of the Az Zarqa, and stunning landscape of Dana Biosphere Reserve. Getting off the beaten track is easy to do with many hiking opportunities offered.

Floating in the Dead Sea at the lowest place below sea level is an opportunity to tick a item off the bucket list, and swimming in the Red Sea offers fantastic scuba diving.

I am experienced in being able to offer all kinds of tours in Jordan including: Aqaba Port Shore Excursions, Specialised Petra Trail Tours Tours all over Jordan, and Jerusalem and Bethlehem Tour Extensions.

I look forward to being able to share with you this beautiful country and provide you with a holiday you will never forget. اتمنى   لك   يوما   سعيدا  ('a'atamanna lak yawmaan saeidaan) I hope you have a good day Abdullah Nawafleh
