Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers Announce Fall 2022 Tour Dates

Arizona cowpunk veterans announce a 24 date fall tour and celebrate with the re-imagined release of “Interstate”, originally from their debut album “Fizzy Fuzzy, Big and Buzzy”

Known for their electrifying live performances, Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers are touring extensively across North America throughout the rest of the year including stops in Charlotte, NC; Boston, MA; Indianapolis, IN; Atlanta, GA and many more. Earlier this summer, the band hosted their long running music festival Circus Mexicus in the beautiful coastal town of Puerto Peñasco, Mexico. In addition to an impressive lineup that featured performances by Jesse Dayton, The Black Moods and Jamie Lin Wilson, charity events hosted by the band and fans during the festival raised money for a local orphanage, local youth sports and helped feed shelter animals.  Click here for more information on Circus Mexicus.

Formed in 1999, Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers was derived from The Refreshments after experiencing changes within their record label and internal band issues. Not only did Clyne and drummer P.H. Naffah decide to record under a new moniker but they started experimenting with new sounds after reconnecting with old country records from artists like Marty Robbins and Johnny Cash. The result was their debut album ‘Honky Tonk Union,’ which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s internet sales chart. Since then, Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers have released eight studio albums featuring their signature pop punk, Americana and Mariachi influences. Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers’ current line-up features Clyne (lead vocals, guitar); Naffah (drums); Nick Scropos (bass) and Jim Dalton (lead guitar).

Disclaimer: I was a huge RCPM fan going into this, so caveat emptor :-)

Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers cross Rock, Alternative, Country, Regge, and Mariachi genres with what I can only describe as "Scarface meets For A Fistful of Dollars" southwestern borderland rock ... the music is buoyant, philosophical, powerful, funny, nasty, poignant, silly, and profound ... something for everyone.

Seeing Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers at the Sweetwater Music Hall was a transcendental experience. The sound system was pristine and the band was in top form. The audience was a typical RCPM audience, that is, enthusiastic, friendly, and knowledgeable about the music. Clyne refers to the audience as Peacemakers, and that's how they behave. The audience knows every word to every song, something Roger jokes about... sometimes he thinks the audience remembers them better than he does.

Roger Clyne is one of the most engaging front-men in Rock and he did not disappoint at this show. As en example, I mentioned to Nick Scropos (the bass player) that my daughter's birthday was that night, Roger overheard it, and he remembered and referenced the event several times, giving her an autographed T-shirt for her birthday at the end. She got kisses, hugs, and birthday wishes from the whole band and is an RCPM fan forever now.

The set-list was a song-per-album chronology of their studio albums including selections from their pending release on June 16th. The music was skillfully executed with great energy and precision, and Roger's voice was astoundingly clear and powerful given his propensity to overdrive it for effect from time to time.

Roger Clyne's voice seems to get better and better with age, not something common in rock. The chemistry on stage underscored the love and reverence these guys have for each other, the music, and their audience ... simply phenomenal.

In conclusion, last night RCPM, The Sweetwater Music Hall, and the audience conspired to create the best possible intimate musical and social experience. This is the norm for RCPM.

If you can catch Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers or any sub-set of the band in your city, do it. If not, I hope to see you @ Rocky Point in Mexico for one of their bi-annual Circus Mexicus 3 to 4 day performances.

The most fun you'll ever have at a rock n' roll show. Roger, PH, Jim & Nick know how to deliver entertainment and connect with each and every audience member. Roger has writtent the catchiest music ever to come out of the Tempe, AZ music scene. He's is a consummate performer, a hugely talented singer/songwriter, and one of the nicest human beings ever to take the stage. You owe it to yourself to experience an RCPM evening. Especially if The Sound of Ghosts open.

As usual, another great concert. Played for 2.5 hours in addition to the rocking opening act. If you love Mexican beaches meets a slight country twang- this is for you! The people are part of what makes Peacemaker concerts so amazing. They were in fine form- although a little tougher than the Vegas crowd...surprising for Coloradans! Fun,cozy venue. Excellent staff at the Gothic. Overall- stellar show!
